So I have been stuck somewhere for more than a hot minute. Havent traveled between worlds in a while... what are these new doors/AUs that are popping up? My map vibrated and heated up before these new paths, connections and doors appeared as places I could go to... They all seem to have this symbol on them but it’s odd. It’s looks like the symbol seen by Gerson’s shop and on a Toriel’s purple dress... but it’s... different I haven’t entered these realms yet as it’s all new territory for me

we know more about sans and gaster's backstories than papyrus'.

what we know about gasters backstory:

he was the royal scientist, he likely had a lot of hubris, he built the core, he fell into the core, pieces of his existence were scattered across time and space, he had a following of people that were seemingly also caught in the blast and was/is somehow connected to papyrus, sans, the player, chara and deltarune. certainly not the most detailed but a damn good basic outline

what we know about sans' backstory:

he at some point was a scientist, there is a mysterious group of people he will supposedly never see again, he is likely the older of the 2 brothers, he might have seen a human before frisk, he at some point lost hope of ever returning to an unspecified location and at some point gained the title of judge. still relatively vague and some clues are fairly out of the way but still, a good idea of who he was before frisk fell and flowey fucked around

what we know about papyrus' backstory:

he came from somewhere unknown with green grass, he doesnt like hotland for unknown reasons, he made the battle body a few weeks before frisk fell, flowey took a liking to him for unknown reasons, undyne likely only recently started training him but when she did it was because he waited outside her house all night, he was apparently feeling down for a while before frisk fell and.. what else?

this vague ass tiny idea of what he maybe did like a month before we meet him hardly serves as a backstory. and funny enough this is all i can garner from oh idk THE CHARACTER WITH THE MOST LINES OF DIALOGUE IN THE WHOLE GAME SECOND ONLY TO THE NARRATOR! this is why i lovingly dub paps the king of deflection, as another example lets look at the time someone in the papyrus qna asked what he looked like when he was younger and in response he played dumb to be purposefully stingey about his past and try to show a picture of himself from the day before through a textbox. and its not like he doesnt know what hes doing, hes stubborn not stupid, thats why he vaguely hints at truelab during a phonecall despite moments before pretending he doesnt know what a lab IS, thats why he plays dumb around sans, thats why he seemingly lies to frisk about his knowledge of hotland, thats why he knows how to use reverse psychology well enough to manipulate UNDYNE of all people, and thats why he brushes off sans' time shenanigans as yet another prank across time and space, because he is the king of deflection and we dont know shit about his backstory and neither does anyone ingame, so if he does end up being the knight, he's hidden bigger bombshell secrets before, so why stop now?

I like to think that Dust has more hallucinations than just the Papyrus's one.

They wouldn't appear all at once, since Papyrus's is the main hallucination, but, they would appear from random times.

Like, when he starts being sad, a Toriel hallucination appear to make him hear her jokes.

When he starts getting tired because of his training, a hallucination of Undyne would SCREAM at him to not rest and only end when their bones fall out of his body.

When he feels bored, a hallucination of Mettaton would appear to "entertain" him.

Well, these hallucination would be based of how the personality of his friends were before he killed them, mainly because I want to make Dust feel more and more disgusted about himself because of what he did :)

I think that might me canon even? Either way, yeah, it totally makes sense! And it gives more depth to the whole concept I think

Oh wait I wanna expand upon this but it'll be spoilers for my Dustard series "whenever, wherever" - if there's anyone here who reads it, potential spoilers under the cut xD

Personally, when I make Dust content, I don't make him have outright schizophrenic hallucinations, primarily because I don't quite have the expertise and experience to feel comfortable doing that

Instead (and this,,, might actually be canon too, I forget-) I make it a side effect of the entity "The Judge"! You know how Classic Sans judges you in the final corridor, and on a geno run, hits you with that karmic damage? "You feel your sins crawling down your back"? Well, I imagine after doing the equivalent of a geno run himself, all that karma and justice turned on him. Literally personifying his sense of guilt, his "sins", by eternally punishing him with the voices and visages of the same ones he killed </3

Unfortunately, therefore they'd be inherently negative, no comfort to be found there kjadvklcvmaoj But to be fair, they could appear in their "purest" and nicest state to, like you said, make him feel even worse for killing them ajkdnvkjvliascjo

Transcript: I got into undertale when I was 12-13, but I didn't actually watch a playthrough FOR A WHILE because I was bombarded with so many spoilers that I didnt see the point because I thought I knew the story well enough not to, which in some ways I kinda did (I was a big alphyne shipper I think I still have drawings of their fankid that I designed and made for this little comic I drew with pen and paper, and this was before I actually watched a playthrough (I was really happy when I finally watched a playthrough and realised "oh, they're canon canon")

But one of the things I got wrong is that for a short while I thought mettaton was a girl, because pink, but I have this distinct memory of being at the top of my bunk bed watching a comic dub and hearing him being reffered to as a guy, and being a bit disappointed, because I was a girl (at the time) and therefore if he was a guy I couldn't be pretty the way he is pretty

(This was also the time when I watched a lot of speed paints, which is how I stumbled upon vizipop angel dust speed paints, and while I'm not a hazbin fan (never seen the show and not interested) I'd say that both angel dust and mettaton contributed in making me question certain things about myself)

Also I was around for the sans fangirl craze, but I wasn't part of it nor I was a hater of it, I remember just seeing the whole thing go down while sitting on the couch and going "I guess I cam see why other people would have crushes on him but like... he's depressed, I'm depressed, it just wouldn't work out" which was certainly a part of it, but i think my confusion surrounding people having crushes was just my aromanticism showing.

(SORRY FOR PUTTING ALL OF MY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES IN THE UT FANDOM HERE, I JUST NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO TALK ABOUT THEM BEFORE SO IM PUTTING THEM ALL HERE)

Also, while I understand that the fic Flowey Is Not A Good Life Coach has a lot of faults, especially being *very* out of character in many ways, I remember as a kid listening to the pod fic on YouTube (most of my fic reading as a kid was just me searching for podfics on youtube) while I was suppoused to be asleep and the theme of a character having to keep the fact that they're being abused a secret just hit me really hard at the time due to personal circumstances, so hard that it stuck with me for years

I do understand people's annoyance at it being treated like THE papyrus fic, tho.

Anyway, if anyone has good recommendations for papyrus centric long ( and i mean LONG) fics, please do tell me

For me, it's partially how rich the pairing is in symbolism and meaning, and how much it could potentially represent with regards to Deltarune's themes... and it's partly because I love the boy with every shred of my soul and I want him to be happy :')

I believe our reasons for liking Kralsei are just VERY similar, symbolism, meaning and Ralsei as well!! And that's why I always identified so much with your analysis about them! You basically write everything I would like to say of them in your texts, haha!!

Kralsei, to me, it's about how the narrative is trying to tell implicitly that Kris and Ralsei's relationship will be about a journey of understanding your identity, understanding yourself, belonging...

Kris and Ralsei have very similar problems at the moment: lack of identity. You see that everything Kris and Ralsei do will always be on Asriel's shadow. Everything Kris had before he left was always because of Asriel and how he was a kind of guide for them. Ralsei clearly has references to Asriel, (and Flowey) the kindness, prince thing and etc. But YET, he still doesn't know what it's like to be Ralsei: he doesn't know what it's to be HIM. And honestly, from there you start to think that there is something much deeper to Ralsei than just being an Asriel from a different universe.

This video talked about a little theory: how Ralsei is there to make Kris find their own identity, I highly recommend watching it! And that's where I wanted to start my point about: Ralsei is here to help Kris, to serve his lightner. But on the other hand, Ralsei also needs to be rescued, he also NEEDS his identify, without living in someone else's shadow, if he will help Kris to be themself, will Kris be grateful enough to do the same for the Darkner who helped them?...

I honestly got to think that maybe this is one of the connections of their names? The Undertale Frisk/Kris Ralsei/Asriel connection?? Where Frisk had to save one last person and it was Asriel????/Hj

This idea of Ralsei and Kris being an allusion to "find yourself" or even "self-love"... It's beautiful to me. Not wanting to go into too much detail, but since 2023, I feel like I've been having symptoms similar to identity crises, very focused on who I am, what I should be and how I should act with everything in general, learning that this is an aspect of Ralsei made me find comfort in him, and Kris as well. The supposed meaning of their relationship comforts me and makes me want to see lots of arts, fics, anything good related to them. I hope one day they develop and we have lovely scenes of them doing arts and crafts, hanging out in Hometown and having fun at school!!!!

I can't forget to mention that the thing about light and dark symbolism!! Both need each other.

If we have the few implications of love between the two in the game, I hope Toby will lead this nicely, in a good developed way. In case of becoming an endgame, could be a good one for the end of Deltarune! And then we will have another important canon couple like Undyne and Alphys and the royal guards muahahaha

Okay. I'll just ramble on by myself again today. There are so many things to say, but I'm bad at English, so I can only talk to myself and use a translator to post it.... As always, I'm embarrassed to talk about headcanons alone, so I'll continue below. (99% IM!felix chat)(It's long)(chapter 172~ spoiler)

I've been mentioning something consistently... I keep thinking about Felix's backstory, which I'm rereading these days... Last time I read and drew a picture of chapter 181, but... Oh my God, I should've started at 172, but I realized I started in the middle.

In 172, Felix uses a gag to defeat the enemy. I love the description of his ability to use a gag, but what's even more thrilling is his reaction afterward. He spontaneously bursts out laughing in triumph after defeating the enemy through a gag. Then he immediately frowns.

'Too close. It was too close.' < This sentence actually made me pull my hair out...

It really shows how Felix is determined to never go back to being zany again. I love the way he checks himself because he's afraid he's going to turn into a zany person after one gag. I really like that... When I first read the novel, I didn't decide on a favorite and just enjoyed the story itself, but now that I'm reading the details again for the first time in a long time while knowing the whole story, I think there are so many things I forgot. And about the relationship between Felix and zany... There were more mentions than I thought, but I didn't notice this... Yes, in fact, the labyrinth part was so long that I was a little tired when I read that part before, but I didn't remember that a lot of Felix's backstory was solved from Felix's side during the labyrinth part...

I keep getting a little obsessed with Felix's past, Felix and his zany days, but there's a reason. I did fanart until March of this year, then I got a little busy for a while, so I was binge-watching chapters of the novel, and then I read chapters 349 and 350, and I loved them so much that I really fell in love with them, so I came back to drawing Felix after a long time? Chapter 349 is the adoption meeting between Canola and Felix, and I really love this chapter. The reason Boris's adoption was rejected was because Felix was zany (+ other unreliable behaviors), and I actually sympathized with Canola. Felix is a trustworthy protector, sure, but he's not perfect, and I like him more for that... As a side note, I do like Canola (I like her as a 2D character, she's like Noelle's mom from Deltarune lol) Anyway, it was Felix's mention of his inner zany that really opened my eyes to Felix and zany. After that, I thought I should re-read about Felix's past connections from his visions in the labyrinth, and then I grabbed chapter 181 and read it and loved it so much that I started drawing Alex and Kitty... But I should have read it from 172!!! 172 also had some really important Felix and ZANY, GAG references...

And chapter 174... Awww. I'm going to paint a picture of Professor Wilson and Felix's past college relationship... As for Professor Wilson's characterization, I've been paying attention to it because of the cult references, but I've been rethinking that characterization as Felix's benefactor lately, so I'm appreciating that part anew, and it's great. I think I remember there was a side story about Felix and Professor Wilson in college in Inky Extra, but I need to read it again.

And chapter 179!! No why didn't I read chapter 179 again?! I thought I would find Felix's past part in the labyrinth part and read it again, so I clicked on the early and middle chapters of the labyrinth to find Felix and read it, but it was 181. There was 179 before 181, but I should have read it from here 😂.

But actually, it's probably a good thing I read chapter 179 now, because it's based on the Twisted Tales Felix animation. If I had read 179 when I reread chapter 181, I don't think I would have gotten as much detail as I did now, because I hadn't seen Twisted Felix yet! So I guess I found this at the right time... Anyway, I have a lot to say about chapter 179.

After realizing that Felix's former hometown is based on Twisted Tales... I can kind of imagine how he lived in the past, and I like that.

To digress for a second, I recently posted a picture of Felix as a showmanship-esque star in a tailcoat suit, and while I was drawing it, I was thinking that Felix, who is a real-life zany top-tier star, would never wear a suit like that, lol. But! I think he would have worn it at least once, but the normal show would have been a comedy show with gags, witty stand-up comedy and physical comedy, right? But I wanted to draw Felix the star in a suit, with a glow in his eyes... That zany, crazy presence! I tried to capture that in my own expression. And since Star Felix is Felix from the past, I wanted him to be a little younger than he is now... The hairstyle is also a little different from the current Felix I'm drawing now! The current Adventurer Felix has more wild hair and is a little unkempt, whereas the Star Felix I drew this time is very well-groomed for showmanship and has a slicked back hairdo.

Let's go back to 179 again. The first line that stood out to me was when Felix's friend asks, "You're not homeless again, are you?

Later on, Felix and Bendy meet up and Felix is telling Bendy about his past, and I think it's mentioned that after Alex, Felix's show fortunes started to change, and he was living an unstable life where he was doing well, and then all of a sudden he was homeless, and then he was doing well again, and then he was going back and forth like that. I think that's the fun part of the subtext, because you read the subtext first, you can see what the earlier reference is actually for.

Then there's Sheba... Actually, what I've been thinking about Sheba and what I drew with Alex and Kitty last time and what I drew after watching Twisted Tales... The character interpretations are mixed now. I drew Sheba last time, but I think I need to change the character design...! I want her to have more of a Twisted Tales feel to her. I feel like I need to do more characterization for Sheba, especially after seeing the scene where Felix's friends don't understand that he doesn't want to be zany, except for Sheba... I need to get her in line... I love Felix and Sheba's friendship in the original comic, but I need to re-read the parts where it's mentioned about their friendship in IM.

And about Candy, I'm actually really interested in Felix's past relationships with girls... Seriously, why is Felix so popular? lol I love it... I love that his past is so colorful... Candy, Nastassia... and Kitty (oh my god. I have so much to say about Kitty).

Okay, let's move on to 181. If I have something else to say about 179 later, I'll say it then. I'm going to say 181 again because it's Kitty...

One of Alex's lines to Felix is this: "Kitty was the last steady girl you had, right?" < Alex's provocation level is... Crazy... (in a positive way). I can't stop thinking about this. About Felix's stable attachment to a relationship.... He's been living alone ever since he left town... I don't think he was even interested in a relationship, because it ended so tragically.... Then one day he meets a rabbit...(Oh my god, but this isn't about Osix, so maybe later...)

I'm so curious about the end of Felix and Kitty's tragic past relationship... What the hell did Alex do? I've imagined some really horrible things, and I honestly don't think it's that bad, but what the hell made Kitty apologize to Felix and Felix turn away and avoid her? What the hell happened?"....

Awww... Felix and Kitty... I'm sure they were a great match before the tragedy... But... But now that they've been torn apart... I love this tragedy... I'm sorry Felix, but I really like ex relationships... because they're ex...

By the way, about Kitty's appearance, last time I drew her with ring earrings, I realized I should change the design to round earrings. I've got two pairs of Felix and Kitty and Oswald and Ortensia scheduled... so it's one of the things I'll definitely do. I'll probably change the earrings to be round then.

Now about Alex. There is so, so much to say about him...... I really love this dislike between Felix and Alex because it feels so good that the people they hate so much are cousins, blood relatives.

Cousins... I think this is more of a fear for Felix. If it were anyone else, he could just end the relationship cleanly. But I think the fact that they are family is more frightening... That's what I like so much. Felix hates and loathes Alex with all his heart. But Alex's attitude in the labyrinth is a little different from Felix's, isn't it? Felix is really hating him, but Alex is provoking him by raising him up... That's also very nice.

I love every single one of Alex's lines, it's so flavorful. I like villainous characters like Alex, but the reason why Alex is especially good is because it's a personalized antagonistic relationship with Felix that completely provokes Felix. He's so good at provoking...

I love the way Alex calls Kitty: 'beaut', 'kit', 'honey doll'... It's so sweet. It's so poisonous... And the things he says to Felix, it's so disturbing. He's so crazy.

'Long time no see, Feels', 'C'mon Feels, nothing to say to me? I've missed you!'(heck, this is soooo crazy.......), 'Still mad?', 'That's cute, Feels.'(noooooooo this is so insane....... alex..... love his poisoned words...), 'dear cousin?', 'cousin'

I love the way Alex says this... He's really provoking Felix with every line... I love how felix refers to alex as just 'Alex' but alex emphasizes the word 'cousin'. See why I said they have a better relationship because they're cousins? By referring to him as a cousin, he's subtly telling Felix that you're not really gone when you leave, that you're not really gone as long as you have the same blood in your veins. I think 'cousin' encompasses both mocking and taunting him for running away, but also letting him know that he's not really gone when he runs away.

But here's my question. When Alex mentions Felix's magic bag, he says it's supposed to be mine. Huh... I'm really curious about the past...

And then there's Alex's Felix costume... Seriously, I love this gimmick, it's a tradition, right? Alex mentions that it's the first time he's done it in a long time, and I wonder if there was an incident in the past where this costume caused a huge rift between Felix and the people around him. And... About Kitty... I can't get this thought out of my head. I'm sure it's because of Alex's appearance in the original Felix classic comics.... Yeah, right....... Oh, I'm thinking the worst again. I'm done here....

I find Felix's past parts so interesting and funny and I think about them a lot, but that's probably more because I like IM Felix.

I also realize that this whole past part isn't really real, it's just Labyrinth's hallucination. I think the real Alex and the real Kitty might react differently, but I honestly think Alex would be the same as Labyrinth lol. Considering the way Alex talks in the other books, yes. He really does have a mouth full of venom (which I love).

That was a really long rant... It's all running around in my head and I have nowhere to put it... I wanted to rant like this in my own personal space. I hope if anyone reads this far, they enjoyed it... Please someone talk to me about Felix🥺

About dragon riders, maybe if one of your other OCs in it (an au of an au)? Maybe Chicago or Wilbur if they grew up there?

Funnily enough, I have drawn that before! They're in my other sketchbook which is at my girlfriend's house at the moment, so I can't pull them out but I will talk your ears off about my Undertale-ish Dragon Riders AU since you have shown interest in my story. I should note, I still need to come up with Dragon Riders appropriate names for these versions of the characters, but that hasn't happened yet. Just know that in universe, they likely would not have the same names.

Starting with CK (we'll come back around to Chicago, don't worry). A dragonborn/werewolf hybrid is what gets as close to his original design as is possible in Dragon Riders. This then informed the rest of the Dreemurr-Font family. You may think that "Oh, because the Dreemurrs have fur then they'd be the werewolves" and that's where you're wrong. No, in this little UT-ish Dragon Riders AU, Dreemurrs like Toriel and Asgore are dragonborns, with Asriel being a dragonblood (what happens when two dragonborns have a kid, introducing more draconic blood, but the still present human/fae blood present prevents it from making a full dragon.) Sans is the werewolf.

This dragonborn/werewolf Dreemurr-Font family also still has Kris, Frisk, and Sariel, though not Chara or Exriel (Chara does still exist, just not as an adopted child of Toriel and Asgore. ... Or maybe still that. Idk, this is still a work in progress.) Sariel, like CK, is a dragonborn/werewolf hybrid, and Kris and Frisk are still humans. Main difference is their clothing styles and ways they were raised. In this AU, like is likely true in canon Deltarune, Kris was adopted by the Dreemurrs very young. (Because I don't have to worry about the whole, combining the stories of Deltarune and Undertale), so they were raised by dragonborns. Frisk, on the other hand, was raised by werewolves, and likely was part of Sans's pack, meaning they became a part of this family when Sans and Tori got together.

(I'm happy to rant more about the DR Dreemurr-Fonts more later)

Onto Naomi, they're obviously a mermaid. Naomi's always had an inspiration of Nemo from Finding Nemo, so they're a clown fish mermaid. Reason I didn't make then a siren despite sirens having more "fishy" features than mermaids is to keep Naomi's hair. Sirens don't have hair. Well... neither do mermaids technically, they're all just whiskers made to mimic humans. Also sirens are deepwater creatures, where I see Naomi and their family living closer to the surface.

Britni would be what is known as a Faeline. Basically, an anthropomorphic cat, or like tabaxi's from D&D. Not much else to say, her design changes the least out of everyone, mainly just changing her ears slightly. I imagine she might still have some reptilian features and technically be a small part dragonborn as I think more about it. Bratty and all.

Wilbur is an arachne, a sorta giant spider centaur thing. Upper body of a humanoid, lower body of a spider's thorax and abdomen. I've changed the number of limbs that arachne have a few times, but I think eight legs on the spider part plus two humanoid arms on the upper torso makes the most sense. I imagine the Wilbur would have still been adopted by Asgore in this AU.

Now, Chicago is probably one of the most different in this AU. Not necessarily because of his design, but you see... Chicago is an animation. A living puppet. Normally in Dragon Riders, animations aren't... sentient. They're tools. Wooden golems brought to life for often more menial tasks than their larger, clay cousins. Which is where Chicago, or Cipolla as he's known in this AU, is an outlier. A freak of nature and magic. He's not the son of a monster mascot and a star here, he's an experiment. A literal puppet, likely confiscated from the mad scientist wizard who created him by the village guard.

Anyway, when I find the original refs, I'll show them, as well as likely draw my Dragon Riders Junior Secret Squad again. I'm always happy to yap more about Dragon Riders, including this little AU of it if you're interested!

Thanks to the very, very, wonderful Mary E / underdog234 on Fiverr for this art (who I commissioned)...! Though I made some filters, lighting, and minor text edits of my own, the base art itself is amazing! As I always get from them...! For those who don't know, THIS isn't an AU, but actually based off of a DELTARUNE theory I have. This theory talks about how there could be an uncorrupted DELTARUNE/Bunker Gaster (aka Valentine's Gaster or "Dr. Gaster") counterpart within the world of Deltarune. Because of this, this Deltarune Gaster would have similar speech patterns but wouldn't be quite a match for the Gaster we all have come to know. He would be a bit more emotional, goofy, and all around less eldritch. Essentially, this Dr. Gaster would be the "HIM" of THIS world. Meaning, if UNDERTALE/Corrupted Gaster were to cross over to DELTARUNE, connect us to it via himself, it would then make him a foreign entity. Or... "ANOTHER HIM" if you will. That's right! Two Gasters baby! HIM, and ANOTHER HIM. Additionally, a special thanks to Noura / clicky123 (also on Fiverr) for the original Dr. Gaster battle sprites. These were used as reference for this art, and are also featured in my theory video above.

INTRO

I'm an animator!

I mostly make animation memes centered around some of my OCs, or characters from video games or shows I like! you can ask about their lore, and I will answer. I might also eventually make a couple of drawings dedicated to them so you can ask questions in the comments if you have any! I post drawings more often than animations, but I do have a bunch posted and will probably post more in the future, like maybe some of my older ones I like.

Chapter 3 predictions/ramblings (pre-direct)

These are my predictions for Chapter 3. Keep in mind that, like, a good half of this is me predicting light world stuff. Tell me what you think. Spoiler tag just in case someone planning on reading this hasn't finished chapter 2. I figure I should post it before the trailer that's probably happening tomorrow kills some of these ideas.

Oh yeah, this is kind of long. I'll include a tldr at the end.

Toriel’s dark world design has the delta rune on it, and is probably very similar (if not the same) to her Undertale design. Toriel’s design is just a purple robe with the delta rune, and at the end of ch 2 she’s wearing purple pajamas.

Before she finds Kris she’s going to be fuckin fury incarnate. Her tires are slashed, she goes to bed, wakes up and finds that someone’s taken her somewhere else and changed her clothes??? She’s going to be fearing for the safety of Kris and Susie. She’s going to have VERY impressive fire powers, considering she’s a boss monster (even if boss monsters aren’t a thing in Deltarune).  She won’t have killed any darkners, but she will have gained a bit of a bad reputation. And even if she doesn’t she’ll still have a bad reputation bc they are TV people and as a mom, Toriel’s definitely had to put a stop to Kris, Asriel, Noelle, and/or Dess watching tv when it got too late, inhibiting their ability to serve the lightners. 

She will, however, have a good relationship with the darkner that represents Chairiel, the beloved living room chair.

Toriel will not fucking follow commands made by her child. She won't join us in battle.

Mike and Tenna…one is definitely the main boss. Maybe both? If chess theory is to be believed? (Two rooks on a chess board). But at least one. I’m leaning towards Tenna (antenna, and all that) but Mike perplexes me. Microphone? Mmmmmmmickey mouse? Who can say.

As for the secret boss, I’m not sure. Obviously it could be Mike or Tenna, but personally I don’t really buy that? I mean, I’ve got to have a take that’s at least slightly warm. 

Anyways, the secret bosses are all based on things often discarded, so for TV…It could be the remote, since it was buried in the couch for who knows how long. It could be the trashed flowers. But that doesn’t seem all that likely to me, because flowers and remotes aren’t typically thrown away. After all, Spamton certainly received attention from Noelle, but he still became a secret boss because he’s spam mail, and so is representative of the WHOLE of spam mail, which is often discarded. Flowers and remotes in general are given a lot of attention, so I doubt it’s that. It could be commercials, but that seems kind of redundant, considering Spamton was just an Addison.

My next thought from there is cable television, because that’s commonly abandoned in favor of streaming…but Deltarune seems to take place in the early days of the internet, so cable would still be popular, and that point’s kind of moot anyways because the TV is, itself, cable. We see Susie channel surfing. God damnit. I guess I have to find out what friend inside me is…

Oh, that’s much less unhinged than I expected. Yeah, a cancelled Western sounds more likely than anything else. It’s kind of interesting that they’re doing this in chapter 3, since the Wild West is often associated with guns and justice and such, but the yellow soul mode was last chapter…whatever.

The secret boss will obviously have the green soul mode, and I think that the shadow mantle will be the shield. I’m sure it can be either found or made during chapter three. It is possible that we’d have to do some multiple save file bs, but I hope not, because all of my save slots are full. I’m guessing that the way it will work is that there’s going to be some undodgeable attack at the beginning of the battle, but if you have the shadow mantle it’ll turn your soul green and shrink the box. Basically, what happened at the start of the Spamton Neo battle.

As for the secret boss weapon/armor reward...I'm kind of split. On one hand, the last two had weapons/armor specifically for Susie and Ralsei (Devilsknive and Jevilstail for Susie, Dealmaker and Puppetscarf for Ralsei) and the obvious conclusion to draw from that is that this one will have shit for Kris. But on the other hand, intentionally NOT doing that would kind of single Kris out in a way, which kind of works? I don't know.

This is mostly wishful thinking- but Susie saying GOD FUCKING DAMNIT KRIS WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE. (It won’t happen but it’ll be funny if it does)

The mage (ralsei) leaves the party. He'll feel betrayed by Kris. Of course, there's the possibility that this was Ralsei's plan all along, but Ralsei seems very taken with the player, so I doubt he'd work behind our backs.

Kris and Susie will have a heart to heart, a la the acid tunnel of love and the December puzzle. Speaking of the Holidays, Noelle’s going to be involved somehow??? The “sneaking” track for ch 3 is going to go unused, but Toby wouldn’t have put the Girl Next Door theme in there in the first place if Noelle wasn’t there. Or, more likely, Noelle won’t be there, but the Holiday family (specifically dess and Noelle) will be alluded to a LOT, given that they, as family friends, stayed over and watched TV

Rouxls will show up.

Asgore. His and other neighbors’ tires also got slashed, so he decided to check on Toriel and Kris (I think this for a few reasons-one is that it’s good for plot, two is that Susie mentions in that screenshot of ch 3 that Kris’s “family is goddamn weird”

(Also, the police say they’ll be over soon at the end of ch2, but several hours have clearly passed between Toriel calling and Kris making the fountain, so they might be tied up with other reports)

(I’ve seen it mentioned that mayor holiday might show up, because some npc mentions that the mayor answers all police calls herself, but it wouldn’t make sense for Toby to have the Mayor show up so early, even if it corroborates with the “girl next door” motif in sneaking)

(Undyne and Napstablook undoubtably are options, being police officers, but I figure they wouldn’t really fit in with everything else? Bc Berdly and Noelle fell into the Cyber World together, but they are friends with problems to work out between each other and they play off of each other in a very interesting way While Toriel and Undyne/Napstablook just… don’t have that??? While Toriel and Asgore do.)

(Honestly, I doubt Undyne will show up in a Dark world at all, outside of the roaring/festival…because from what I can tell, all that undyne’s got going on in this game is being bored and crushing (?) on alphys. And the Undyne/Alphys dynamic was already explored pretty thoroughly in Undertale, and can easily be relegated to a side quest…and  Undyne can get some action during the Roaring. Actually, she’s bored. And papyrus needs friends…so maybe they could meet and become friends? Maybe that’s the conclusion to the papyrus quest. Actually, wait. They’re not friends yet in this universe. Maybe papyrus…is actually good at cooking???)

(The mayor definitely will get dark world action, but later on. Maybe chapter five or six. Or seven, or whenever the roaring is, because there’s that line about getting her attention via causing a horrible disaster.)

(And Napstablook…doesn’t really have much going on? If this were the Undertale universe, they’d work out their problems with Mettaton, but mettaton (happstablook???) still lives with Napstablook in this timeline, so that’s not really a problem. I doubt Napstablook will get dark world screen time outside of the Roaring.)

But getting back on topic, Toriel and Asgore had like…two thirty second conversations after their kids died in Undertale (that we see). And that was never really resolved, because they only saw each other again at the end of the game before fucking off to live on the surface. (Yes, I know Asgore ends up working as a gardener at Toriel’s school in the True Pacifist Credits so maybe they worked things out but it wasn’t onscreen so it doesn’t count). And whatever Asgore did in this timeline, it certainly can’t be as bad as in Undertale (bc he’s not the king so he would be in jail)...

So I think Toriel and Asgore are going to work out some of their issues. They’re not getting back together though.

Oh!! Speaking of whatever it is that Asgore did…hm. I’ve got to say, while it technically is a possibility that those two are just incompatible, I doubt it’s that. This take is about as cold as Berdly is, but…you know. It’s obviously that as chief of police, he gave up the search for Dess too early for Toriel’s liking.

Susie’s gonna…puzzle something together. Probably that Kris made the fountain? But she overall seems pretty oblivious to how the dark worlds work (her assuming lancer ditched when he turned into a jack of spades at the start of ch 2) so I think she’s at least going to get a better grasp on what the dark worlds are (And we probably will, for that matter. Actually, on second thought, maybe we won’t? Because I’m pretty sure Toby said it wouldn’t be a super lore heavy chapter. But I do have to commit to one or the other, so I’m going to say we’re going to learn SOMETHING, even if it’s not earth-shattering).

There probably will be areas based on the channels Susie scrolled through. Cooking, weather, giant monster movie…the western is “cancelled”, and probably connects to the secret boss. When it comes to the green room…idk??

Bc I’m guessing that, to fit with the theme of dark worlds as escapism (card kingdom was board and card games, cyber world was phones and computers) this one will be limited to the TV. But the green room is very clearly based on Kris and Azzy’s bedroom…So maybe it borrows elements from other areas of the house. (Although, the caption for the green room image is “where could this possibly be?!!”. While this could just mean “what light world location does this correspond to”, it could also mean “where is it physically within the dark world”, and it’s in some out of the way place (like queen’s basement or the ??? in card castle)).But also, those are secret boss areas, and the secret boss is probably Wild West-themed. So…perhaps it’s a hub of sorts? Like the star world in whichever Mario game was on Yoshi’s island. Green rooms are where you go to prepare before shooting, so maybe Kris and Susie go there before each section. That would make sense, actually, considering that it would always be Kris and Asriel deciding what to watch next.

Also, there’s cacti in the green room, so I think Susie will probably make a joke about how she tried to eat cacti once but she got spiked. And she bets that it tastes delicious on the inside. It’s got a prickly exterior. But a nice interior. That it secretly wants you to get to. But will never admit it. Almost like it’s…

Anyways, lancer will probably be present. Even if he gets petrified. Though Susie will probably fret about him before he does.

The flowers that Toriel threw away…idk. They really don’t fit with the whole TV thing. Maybe it could be like a soap opera sort of thing??? I’m not counting on it, though.

Moving on to the light world…

Side quests! There a few to be touched up on.

When it comes to Undyne and Alphys, their relationship will probably only progress if you give Alphys the chocolate. Although, maybe if you take the chocolate to the dark world-

Never mind. Apparently it has no dark world equivalent? I was going to say it might turn to Light Candy like the chalk  does, but I guess that’s a bust.

Actually, apparently eating the chocolate reduces your Light World HP from 20 to 19??? This is probably just a gag… but this has startling implications. Idk if that damage heals if u go to the castle town save point?? Does the damage even carry over to the dark world??? If you go to the dark world, heal, and then leave, is the damage healed??? And also! ALSO!!! If the damage doesn’t just automatically heal (from, like, sleeping or something) will future chapters include more ways to harm Kris in the light world??? Will you be able to reduce Kris’ HP to ZERO?? will people comment that Kris looks worse for the wear? Will you even be able to load a save, as the save/load power seems to be dark world exclusive in this world? (Yes, I know that Toby implemented light world saves for the section in ch 4, but we have no idea if that’s diegetic or not…)

While I kinda doubt that this will be permanent if it happens (because for one, that’d be annoying, and for another, it’d put a damper on the whole “there is only one ending” thing) it would be kinda cool…I do have to test that, though. For all I know it does one damage that heals after you close the menu. Can one of y’all test it, if you’ve got a chapter 2 light world pre-chocolate box save handy?

The only reason I thought of the whole “accumulating damage throughout chapters” thing is because of the idea of accumulating money through chapters to pay off the family debt to the librarby. You can get five bucks from Asriel’s drawer, and five bucks from selling the chocolate to sans. That’s just under a sixth of the debt. I wouldn’t be surprised if Toriel gives Kris $10-20 to treat themself and Susie to QC’s after the dark world (I'm assuming that the QC's screenshot is Ch 3) but it’s entirely possible that you can just… not. do that. And pocket the money instead.

Oh! And apparently you start chapter one with two bucks. iirc, the debt is $67 and change, and since you start with two, you only really have to go up in increments of 5-10.

But anyways!! Back to the Alphyne side quest. I think Alphys will probably have you give something back to Undyne in thanks for her box of chocolates. Possibly some manga? Or anime? (Which you also might be able to sell. Probably not, though. But maybe). Which kind of connects to the Mettaton entertainment quest? I doubt that Toby will make us choose between getting Undyne and Alphys together and giving Mettaton something to read/watch. What probably happens instead is that the Flower King will open back up, and you can find “the awesome comics [Alphys] lent [Asgore]” to give to Mettaton.

Fuck, wait, I thought I was so clever there, that already happened in Persistant Variables (a really good Deltarune fanfic on AO3) Well, still. Just because I’m not the first to think of it doesn’t mean it’s any less likely. Great minds think alike, and all that. (and fools rarely differ, but that’s beside the point.)

Anyways, from there, Mettaton might wonder whose comics they are (as Mettaton almost certainly likes manga) and you could introduce him to Alphys! Well, he’ll probably only ask the next day, and they’ll probably meet offscreen, but whatever.

When it comes to Noelle and Rudy…hm. (I’ll talk about the weird route later).   Rudy said he’d be able to go to church tomorrow (which, during chapter 3, will be today.) I think that Kris probably woke up in the early morning, 3:00 AM or so, so by the time the fountain is sealed, it’ll be around lunch time? Church will be over, perhaps. Or, actually, maybe it’s around 11:30 ish, so that way church is still going (and is therefore inaccesible, as Susie wouldn’t want to go to services). The Holidays will be at church, and Rudy will be there too, and not in the hospital. Perhaps while they’re there, father Alvin will ask a select few to come to a special service the next day…(dark world four).

GOD FUCKING DAMNIT THATS WHAT HAPPENED IN PERSISTANT VARIABLES TOO. Shit. Well, that’s neither here nor there, as that’s a chapter 4 prediction, and not what this is about.

Anyways…Onion! I’ve been kind of avoiding talking about them because I don’t really know what to say? Looking back at the screenshots, I think they just won’t show up. We judge Susie’s rock throwing abilities (which, technically could be ch 4 or 5, but I doubt it) at the lake, and Onion said to come alone.

Our knocking skill at the door downtown will probably still increase.

I think Berdly will be at church, if only because of something I’m going to talk about when I talk about the weird route.

Catti and Jockington…They could be at church, but I think they’re probably hanging out at Catti’s house. We know that she’s not working, because if she were then Susie wouldnt want to go to QC’s. She doesn’t strike me as religious, though (quite the opposite), so I think she’s chilling with jockington.

Temmie could be anywhere. Possibly at school? 

Oh shit. Would the school be locked on a weekend? Probably. Maybe you can steal Toriel’s keys? I mean, the TV has to get to Castle town somehow. Hm. I guess if Toriel knows the truth, she’ll just give them to Kris? Or maybe we can get Alphys’ keys. 

Speaking of Castle Town, all we really know is that some new people will get rooms. Queen, obviously. Maybe Noelle? Maybe possibly Berdly? Certainly not Ralsei. We definitely won’t see his room until later; it wouldn’t do to unveil any mystery about him so soon.

There’s more buildings… idk where they would fit, though? They certainly can’t expand past the great door. I think that either castle town itself will have a longer trek from entrance to castle (that is, more space is created for buildings that just wasn’t there before) or they’ll start expanding up the cliff. I think the former is more likely, though.

Back to the light world! I think the papyrus quest is going to be delayed until at least chapter 4. Chances are, we’ll be fed spaghetti, and it wouldn’t do if we’ve already eaten at QC’s.

The only other classmates are MK and Snowy. I think Snowy’s going to be at the graveyard. It’s either going to be Ch 3 or Ch 4, but in one of them Snowy’s going to visit his mom’s grave. Of course, he could be at church, but why not give him something unique?

For MK…idk. In the post-dark world parts of ch 1 and ch 2, MK is hanging out with Snowy, but in the intro sequence of chapter one, they complain about having to partner with him, and that kind of bewilders me bc… who else would they partner with??? Jockington??? They played handball together…But everyone knows Jockington and Catti…are always partners! So? MK? Who would you rather partner with? Kris, I suppose, because MK said they’d rather be with Kris, but from what I can tell Kris is a bit of a loner, and MK and Snowy seem like better friends. The reason I’m analyzing Monster Kid’s relationships like this is because I would say that MK is chilling at the graveyard bench and waiting for Snowy, but they don’t seem like good enough friends for that. So frankly, I have no idea. Maybe just hanging around downtown? At church? Idk. I’ll say he’s downtown.

I think that’s all the lightners covered? 

Wait, no, there's a few left. After the dark world, Toriel’s probably chilling at home. Frankly, I have no idea how Kris and Susie are going to explain away the dark world. I don’t think the dream excuse would work as well on her.  Are they gonna fuckin…say it was a gas leak that gave them hallucinations? (That’s a joke. That wouldn’t work). There’s always the option of the truth, but.. if they did, she’d try to like. Ground them. And she’d ground Susie vicariously through her parents. If she has any. And if they care. Which they likely don’t. So i don’t know. I’m stumped.

There’s also the problem of how if they don’t tell Toriel it’s real, then she’d be alarmed to find Asgore in her living room, which might cause some problems. So maybe they just fuckin. Shrug their shoulders and say they don’t know what just went down? But it was definitely real? But then Toriel would bring it to the Mayor, and the secret would be out… I don’t know! There’s a solution to this, certainly, but I’m not seeing it.

Anyways. Asgore is probably going to go back to the Flower King. Or, perhaps, he’ll stay and chat with Toriel. But I doubt it, because then the shop will still be locked, and we wouldn’t be able to get the manga for Mettaton.

Sans…is a mystery. I can’t imagine he’s religious, so he’s not at church, so maybe he’s at his store again? I don’t know. He’s up to some sort of antics. Some practical joke.

Ice E’s P”e”zza is certainly open, since it’s a Saturday. As for the individual employees, I’m sure they’re all there. Pizzapants will probably make some comment about how at Ice E’s P”E”ZZA, your time is a pizza pie, and none of the slices should be spent on breaks, or something of the sort.

The library might be closed for the weekend.

The egg will probably be placed in QC’s diner.

I think that’s all there is to say for the normal route.

For the weird route…I actually think that not much will change. Noelle, of course, is central to it, and my idea of chapter 3 just doesn’t really feature her. And honestly, I kind of like that. You murder Berdly and then… nothing happens. Not yet, at least.

There will be some differences, though. Kris will probably be less nostalgic and more dour whenever the Holidays are brought up. 

If Susie ever decides to tell you about what happened in Noelle’s room, it’s going to be during their heart-to-heart that I mentioned earlier. This will, of course, mean that whatever she was going to say is replaced. And that does have some potential. I would say that it maybe takes away some conversation about Dess, because I think it was HalfBreadChaos that mentioned that the weird route is kind of taking away from Dess, but I don’t think that would work, because Susie doesn’t know enough about Dess to have a monologue about her.

Personally, I suspect that Noelle kissed her, (boldness stat went up, Susie had a massive grin that’s only ever used for the “no, I didn’t drink apple shampoo” (she did). You know. The “what??? Nothing happened!!! I, however, am a bad actor and something in fact did happen” grin. And it’s just…not like Susie to be so coy if it was about something else.) but I guess something else could have happened? Noelle could’ve confessed sans kiss, (without kiss, not sans Undertale kiss) but i can’t really see anything outside of those two options.

Noelle is definitely thinking about Kris while in church. She mentioned that she needed to figure out why Kris was acting so strange, so then is a good time for her to get a hypothesis.

Berdly being in church during the normal route works quite well for this, too, as Berdly probably isn’t that devout, only showing up to church occasionally, so nobody would question his absence except Noelle. Most would think he’d just stayed home, and his parents…well, frankly, I don’t think his parents would notice. I, personally subscribe to the “Universal Mother” theory for Queen, so that fits. (If you don’t know what that is, look it up on YouTube.) If the library’s closed for the weekend, he doesn’t have to show up for work, and so that wouldn't be out of place. Ms. Boom is probably religious, anyways, and she'd be at church.

The hospital beads will probably say something along the lines of “despite the blue bead’s absence, the other beads continue to march on as if nothing is wrong.” You know. Goner monster kid vibes.

I think that’s it? Cool. I might come back with updated theories if we get new info. If I get, like...40% right I'll consider it at victory.

TLDR: Toriel and Asgore will work out some problems in the dark world, Ralsei will leave the party, friend inside me's happening (sort of), and we'll get more insights on the Dremurrs and the Holidays. In the light world, everyone will be at church, we can go to QC's, we can possibly start to kill Kris in the light world, and various side quests will progress, although Onion's and Papyrus's will be delayed. Noelle and Berdly will be offscreen the whole time. In the weird route, not much will change.

Fellow theory friend! Okay, here’s my pitch:

Kris isn’t the Knight. But something is possessing them, other than us, that is.

The crux of this theory is that when Kris gets out of bed to pull their SOUL out, at the end of Chapter 1, they don’t walk normally. They shake around in bed, throw themself onto the floor, and then zombie-shamble to the middle of the room. Kris is perfectly capable of walking normally, as seen throughout the chapter, like when they follow Susie to the door of the closet, or saving Susie from the King of Spades. So why are they walking so strangely, before they remove their SOUL?

(Another, albeit weaker example, is in Chapter 2, where they randomly fall down, before removing their SOUL in the bathroom.)

My theory? Kris is being controlled by two separate entities, the Player, and something else; the Knight. This explains why Kris is opening fountains despite Ralsei explaining that that would be very bad for everyone, and why they slashed their own car’s tires–it’s part of some other entity’s plan, being enacted through Kris, the same way we are able to enact our own plans or ideas through Kris. It fits thematically.

Yes I know this is sort of off the wall, but I think there’s some merit to it.

i fear this is gonna be less about kris knight theory and more of an argument in adversion to the third entity theory but OH WELL.

SO to begin — yes, kris' movements are odd before the removal of the soul, but after rewatching the scenes in question over a few times, i think this a result of kris struggling to move of their own accord while we have control as opposed to evidence of another force puppeteering them. kris is a "heart on a chain", as spamton puts it — there's only so much they can do before they take out the soul, its why it gets taken out in the first place, something a third entity wouldnt habe to do if they could simply override our control of kris. but if you look, particuraly at the chapter one ending — kris' movements seem to become more natural after the removal of their soul. not entirely, obviously, but they do move a little bit faster, a little bit smoother. they seem less jagged and uncoordinated, and more deliberate.

but then, why are their movemebts still odd at all after our control is gone? well, they're moving detatched from their soul. it's not like the situation we see with flowey in undertale, he simply doesnt have a soul. no, kris' soul exists, its very much intact — but it's detatched from them physically. but id imagine even outside of their body, it's still the culmination of their being. and its still chained. I dont think you. an fukly detatch from your soul, not with what we know about souls based on descriptions.

also ... they're pulling out a knife in ch1. im pretty sure most people are cautious with knives, especislly with kris angling the blade upwards like??? no get that away from.your face dumbass CMON /j

but on a serious note, similar goes for both scene in chapter two — though, in the bathroom scene in particular, theyre admittedly more affected even after the removal of the soul than they were in chapter one. but, again ,, theyre acting away from their soul. i can't explain why they'd be more affected here, but no angle I've tried look at it from would explain why a third entity would have less control here, either. so the inconsistency makes little sense either way.

in the very last scene, the one where they make a dark fountain — we dont see all of it, but especially the last moments before the fountain ia made — theyre movements are fluid. they dont seem to be having too .jch difficulty.

all this to say, i dont think movement alone is enough to say theres some third entity. especially with what I'm aboit to follow up with —

and, this might be a bit away from topic, but what would even be the pu purposerpose of a third entity in deltarune?

because i can't agree that it fits thematically. a big part of deltarune so far is to bend the usual relationship between protagonist and player. that was the point of the final scene of chapter one, and it was highlighted and reaffirmed throughout the course of chapter two through kris showing a few more of their own reactions (saying certain thinga with enthusiasm or lack thereof, showing annoyance after susie makes a joke about the piano, the whole spamton neo aftermath) — the final scene of chapter two is a culmination of this, result of a steady build up. a direct showcase thst kris' motives directly clash with what we as the player are doing— kris creating dark fountains, us attempting to seal them. the intensity is lost if you bring a third entity in. protagonist vs player is a narrative that, at least as i see it, holds far more weight and resonates exceedingly more than protagonist vs player vs some third thing.

furthermore, i feel the idea of a third entity entirely strips away any interest of kris as a character — reducing them from a complex individual with their own goals and morals, to a simple puppet of the plot — the exact opposite point of kris' character as a whole. they easily could have been more of a blank slate, similar to frisk, but they're not. they're supposed to be their own person, distinctly seperate from the player. the point of thst is lost if you assign their most interesting actions to the idea of some other possessor.

i can't see any reason for there to be a third entity without it simply existing to wash kris down into a less defined, more "morally standard" character, which honestly doesn't sit right with me.

but those are just my thoughts!! i know this got really off topic really fast from kris knight theory, but i couldn't really make an argument for that based purely on whether a third entity exists or not — personally, third entity theories arent ones i ascribe to in the slightest, but its interesting to hear other peoples thoughts!

OKAY HEAR ME OUT

So, I have a theory about Undertale & Deltarune...

So... Basically, Deltarune is a prequel to Undertale

NOW BEFORE YOU SCROLL PAST HEAR ME OUT

So, I have no "hard" evidence or proof (Wait no! Don't go!) BUT, it would kind of make sense from how Undertale was even made.

So, yeah, Undertale was made first, but Toby said (through various sources that, to be blunt, I'm too lazy to find) that it was made as a "test to see if one person [with some help with art and stuff] could even make a full game" and he did! He made Undertale!

HOWEVER!!!

It was not his final project. It was, as he said, a test.

And Deltarune is the game he actually wants to make.

But why do I think Undertale is a "sequel" to Deltarune?

Well... The most prominent example (and well known queen killer and sexyman) is Sans.

AND NO THIS ISN'T "Sans is all powerful and all knowing and the lord of Undertale and its fanbase blah blah blah" Like i've occasional seen people say similar crap cause "Oh its THAT god damn overly popular"

But the line in particular I'm referring to is when he says "I gave up trying to go back a long time ago"

Plus the Q & A with Papyrus where Sans very deliberately cuts it short when Papyrus is talking about "where they're from before Snowdin"

And I know every facet of Sans has been discussed to death, but why do I think that line he's referring to Deltarune? Or perhaps more accurately Hometown?

Well... It's a simple line said by Toriel in the Ruins in Undertale.

"It may come as a surprise to you but... I've always wanted to be a teacher! Well... That may not be that surprising..."

AND THAT RIGHT THERE

Is another part of why I think Undertale is a "sequel" or at the very least some kind of spinoff to Deltarune.

Because in Deltarune she IS a teacher.

So... It's been a while since I played Undertale (i'm actually playing it right now which is why I suddenly had the urge to write this all out lol) but I'm certain that if you go through Undertale you can see some parallels to Deltarune.

But I'm calling it right now.

Deltarune is a prequel.

That could also explain why Deltarune (originally) only had one ending. That ending (some-fucking-how) leading to the creation of Undertale and it's world.

Hell, maybe Undertale is after the roaring or whatever... Cause in Deltarune the main bosses and such talk about "reforging the world" and maybe that's because of Kris. Maybe Kris successfully reforged the world in their own image. With their parents (Toriel and Asgore) becoming the rulers of Monsters, and (this one is mostly speculation but-) Kris' hate for humans led to the banishment of Monsterkind, and it kind of line's up strangely well...

And maybe a lot of things don't line up, sure, but Deltarune isn't even fully out yet.

I'm calling it right now. Deltarune is a prequel and Undertale is Kris' reforging of the world through darkness and darkworld fountains or something.

👁👁 MINI SUPERNATURAL AU YAP!

Basically it started as an AU of my Deltarune Addison OCs if they were humans in a universe with supernatural beings like vampires and mermaids and whatnot, and then it expanded into 'what if they were supernatural beings themselves', and then from there they've spiraled into just flat out original characters with some of the same characteristics, lol.
