ive mentioned before how ive always thought it was a little bizarre that so many white people's first assumption when they see a white-looking person with a culturally unexpected surname is "oh they're adopted" despite how much more common a person being multiracial is compared to being the white adopted child of non-white parents - although of course it does happen, its just yknow. the people saying this are usually not thinking about the racial dynamics in the adoption industry so much as they are just assuming mixed race people don't exist LOL

but on that end, in my own mixed race bias I usually assume multiracialness first so i did completely forget about another decently common situation where a white-looking adult (often a woman) might have a last name from a non-white culture: i forgot that um. sometimes people (particularly women) change their last names when they get married? neither my mom nor any of my aunties did so you have to forgive me orz

another idea for hothusband!harry. they're on a date out in public. like at a restaurant. harry and vana arrives first and y/n arrives a few minutes late. when harry and vana first arrive the couple beside them can see how affectionate they are with one another. harry kissing vana before pulling out her chair and sitting down. well when vana gets up to go to the bathroom and y/n arrives while she's gone. the couple beside them watch as harry stands to greet her and then kiss her on the lips and they are appalled. thinking harry was cheating because they couldn't hear their convo due to the loud ambience of the restaurant. vana returns from the bathroom and the lady from the table beside them has had enough and stands and walks up to their table and goes to inform vana that her husband just kissed another women. vana looks up at the "karen" unphased and is like "yeah so?" so the lady is like "he's cheating on you." and vana laughs and replies "does this make me a cheater too?" before she leans in to cup y/ns cheek and kisses her. the lady stands there in shock and mumbles how much of a disgrace they all were. as she walks away harry flips her off. then they carry on happily with their date. unbothered by what others think.

i would love a curious gazes for this series one day. just to see how people react to them.
