watching oppenheimer and there’s josh hartnett and midway through the movie i’m thinking ‘wow what a full circle moment for his career this is’. Like he was in pearl harbor the movie ages ago (was it 20+ years?) which obvs was set during the japanese war. And now years later he’s in oppenheimer and they’re about to drop the atomic bomb in Japan during the same war that was happening in pearl harbor! And not only that, ben affleck was his costar in pearl harbor but now ben’s brother casey is in oppenheimer. It’s josh’s world and cillian is just a player in it.

Maison Crivelli Neroli Nasimba, L'Objet, Dolce & Gabbana Q and other reviews - 2023
Should you trust a bottle with a crown for a cap? -- My thoughts on new releases from D&G, Maison Crivelli and L'Objet.
[Dolce & Gabbana, L’Objet and Maison Crivelli reviews based on samplesprovided by the brands in 2023.] Don’t judge a bottle by its crown. That was the moral of a recent episode of Love At First Scent, in which I reviewed, amongst other perfumes, new releases from Maison Crivelli and Dolce & Gabbana. Here’s a link to the video, followed by timestamps and further thoughts on some of the…

summer slipped us underneath her tongue
TK Strand is a freshly heartbroken art history student who's been given the opportunity of a lifetime; studying art in the heart of it all, Paris, France. However, he thinks it's a cruel taunt from the universe. He's studying what he loves so much in the city of love but is stuck thinking there's no one out there who loves him.
Carlos Reyes is a career driven culinary student studying at Le Cordon Bleu. He has an awful habit of maintaining relationships, detaching himself from his work and doubting everything about himself.
After a night out that they end up sharing with each other; they agree to keep any and all things casual. Well, like most things, that's easier said than done.
Weaved through a story of love, loss, grief and everything in between; here's a tale of TK and Carlos finding each other under the Parisian night sky and falling in love with each other under the Parisian summer sun.
Thanks again for @lemonlyman-dotcom for taking the time to beta read this and listen to my endless ramblings 💛

"Little fanfare"? I mean, yeah, I guess, if we count the principal celebration here as being "a vicariously enjoyed memeing of the burning of the goat by Americans keeping up online", rather than being the celebration experienced after it burns by the people for whom this celebration is like... in their city. Look: the Gävle Goat has been burned to the ground most years since its first appearance in 1966 -- by 2021, 35 out of 55 goats had been destroyed or damaged in some way (and every year since, it has burned)! Even being generous to certain framings in this post, there have been deeply sincere -- not tongue-in-cheek -- viral news articles and posts by non-Swedish users about celebrating the burning of the goat for probably a decade!
