cannada goose jackets r the meme but a good wool sweater and one of those thick leather biker jackets usually serves me pretty well since its wind proof. u can find both at a thrift store for not too much

I live in a warmer climate zone (the record low is 15 degrees Fahrenheit ) and I wear knit sweaters under a big denim ranch style jacket + scarf (I get cold easy) . I might be moving to Alaska so I’m a little scared in terms of not being prepared.

Thank you for the tip that would probably be smart to invest in leather that’s not just for style !

Sorry if someone has asked this before but what’s your research dissertation on? And what are you studying/majoring in uni?

oh no feel free to ask questions!! it's fun to answer <3 i think it used to be in my bio a while back but i'm doing a postgrad research project (might be swapping it to research masters so i can get out sooner rip) in maths! the bits i focus on are markvov chains, group theory & measure theory + i do a bunch of programming electives bc i want a job whooops, my dissertation looks like it's gonna be on either wieferich primes or applying some funky probability theory to the eleptical curves (in regards to szpiro kinda group theory stuff) (depending on the funding overlords & how well my research proposal goes!)

Okay but in all seriousness, I’d love to visit Tokyo, Shibuya, Okinawa, Nara, and maybe the infamous forest. Then I’d love to see Scotland as my family actually immigrated from there, Germany is on the list as is Australia, Washington State, and Cannada . My favourite game? This is a tie between the Legend of Zelda series and the Final Fantasy series! My favourite singer is probably Reba McEntire, my favourite male singer is Leroy Sanchez (here’s a youtube link!). I am Panromantic demisexual (tho tend to lean towards sexual relationships with women). My top favourite movies Overboard 1987. The Legend of Zelda movi-- Oh wait. (Me, bitter? Neeeever). Final Fantasy Advent Children, Final Fantasy Kingsglaive and the entire Resident Evil series. Five favourite songs, yer gonna make me go oldschool emo aren’t you, you shit?-sighs- Fine.

#NOLA… I’m still processing.

Seriously.

My person blew my mind during one of our random 4 am conversations when it finally hit me.

I did that.

I, Anya Nicola, really fucking DID THAT!!

See, I went to another country, participated as a panel speaker (MORE THAN ONCE) and spoke; I probably said umm, a lot too, but I followed through. I did it.

And to further add to my astonishment; people actually LISTENED to me; I was HEARD they were grateful to hear me speak 🗣

(Oh fuck, here come the waterworks again.

Listen, I mean, let’s be honest, I didn’t do this alone… my #Squad aka Afro Cannada Budsistas, came through and represented.

I need to digest a lot but staying quiet ain’t my thing (at least not anymore 😉) let me begin unpacking this one either backwards or inconsequential order.

You’re a professional photographer, and you captured the only footage I’ve seen so far pro bono for us.

In true Budsista fashion, you came running 🏃🏾‍♀️ to support a group of women you’ve never met in person before (I swear, I need my tear ducts removed at this point)

It became even more real for me once I saw what you saw through your camera 📸, the word “capture” has a whole new meaning to me now 😆
