i always see people on here complaining that "planes bite i had one once and it bit me" and "planes are too skittish to be safe around young kids" and even shit like "we should abolish our city's airport because we shouldn't be encouraging people to go out and get a plane!!!!!!" sure okay. tell me you don't know how to properly socialize your aircraft without telling me

So much of purity culture is based in the idea that your sexuality is something to be feared. E.g. "Don't kiss while dating because you might get Urges™", "Never show any skin in case it makes boys have untoward thoughts", "Avoid being alone together or you might get naked", etc.

Your sexuality is not an uncontrollable beast you need to deeply repress in order to maintain chastity. Like any appetite, it requires habitual discipline, but it's a God-given part of the human experience.

We're rational beings, not animals driven by mere instincts. Don't fear your sexuality. A well-exercised will can control it just fine, but not if you think of it as an all-consuming wolf ready to devour at the mere thought of sex.

I kinda wish that US immigration policy would include some way of ensuring that refugees have a a place like…

1) Individual cities and counties vote every 2 years on a number of refugee-settlement bonds to buy from the department of Health and Human Services. The number of refugees we let in is related to the number of resettlement bonds sold.

2) Businesses and individuals can buy those bonds from cities if the transaction includes the city allowing additional housing to be built.

3) Sigh… build the stupid wall I guess…grumble grumble… it better actually help enforce the 13th amendment… grumble grumble…

Or some better policy design than some recovering-globalist-former-neoliberal like me can come up with on tumblr.
