sorry for showing up to liveblog ultrakill and then abandoning tumblr for five days in a row. It will happen again

#GRAH. ok. iirc this is the only ultkill level I've ever NOT beat in one sitting. usually i'm too stubborn to leave until it's done (see how #i spent 3 hours beating minos). like this is my third go at it. i finally p-ranked 5-2 three days ago (much to my complete and utter #astonishment) and ended up dying 76 times to sisyphus (plus one to the panopticon and maybe 15-40 to the rest of the level) before #restarting the entire level by accident. the day after that i died 20 times in the city + got frustrated and left #i get so desensitized to the difficulty of ultrakill though p-2 was WILD. literally at first it was identical to those mods hk players make #like fireborn's ''path of pain while 50 unkillable primal aspids are chasing me'' and literally anyone who's ever attempted anyrad 3.0 #like there was just an overwhelming sense of WHY WOULD ANYONE EVER MAKE THIS. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL and it was the only time i ever backed #down from an ultrakill challenge. and then today it's just ''oh hi room with blessed stalker + h. mass and 4 sentries how are you today''#anyway ough. i cant believe that with the exception of violent difficulty i'm so close to perfecting everything the game has to offer (yet)#i do have a uk character bookmarked on art fight that i said i could only draw after beating sisypus though so :3 #AND I CAN FINALLY GET THE P-2 SHIRT I CAN PUT IN MY SONA'S PERMISSIONS THAT YOU'RE ALLOWED TO DRAW THEM IN IT #ok anyway #peridots-nonsense

Really funny that my two favourite contemporary zombie franchises are both from South Korea.

Current Obsession: surviving. So you know. Same old, same old.

@sadpugnation oh god trial of the fool took me several days on and off to finally do and I honestly don’t know if I could do it again. The relaxing break I took in between attempts was beating NKG. I finally did it with sharp shadow/shaman stone/quick slash/long nail/grub song. Although the last two probably should have been swapped for MoP. (Or unbreakable strength if my computer would let me use nail arts. Nail length was only necessary for the no floor section, but nail arts would have made it easier)

Imo the best method is to pogo whenever you can (god tamer is really easy to pogo to death with a little practice), save spells for primal aspids/soul and volt twisters (just shoot them as soon as they come out), and heal during any section you can - the section with three follys is really good if you just keep one alive and dreamnail it until you have full soul and health. Also the death loodle stages. I saved up as much soul as I could for brooding mawlek and just hit it twice/sharp shadow dashed through it, got above it, and then dived over and over again. Also really good advice I found was to prioritize flying enemies and kill them first.

Because of fallen au I finally decided to play hollow knight and omg why haven't I played it sooner!?!? I cant wait for silksong, when it comes to exploring I feel like along their journey they do the classic movie montage of bonding while fighting monsters or amity training luz, at what moment would they realize they cared for each other after moving past being enemies?

If you mean caring in the sense of “YES I would fight a swarm of primal aspids for her so what” then I gotta say probably like,,,,,it was something Gradual. like a lingering Feeling creeping up on them and Amity finally realizes it when she becomes so comfortable w Luz that she will casually take off her mask every time they meet and is willing to try the occasional word w her. She hears Willow comment “huh, she almost said a full sentence that time” and Amity has to pause and reboot a few times bc Oh God She DOES Care

Luz cared for Amity pretty quickly (aside from the general I Don’t Want Her To Die morals) but never fully Acknowledged it until, in a moment w no time to think, nearly got her entire body crushed when trying to protect Amity. Which Amity of course scolds her for because she literally has an exoskeleton and isn’t human she would’ve lived you absolute Dumbass. n Luz has to think for a few moments on how she could’ve broken every bone in her body for someone who would’ve, at worst, gotten only Two broken bones. just so she wouldn’t get hurt. huh, thats,,,,,,,,going to b fun

Oh that is completely the case. PK is the most chaotic sibling by far. Grimm thinks it's a Wyrm thing, while Radiance is sure it's because he grew up in Kindgom's Edge (mostly around Primal Aspids).

Either way, his family worries for him.
