did sam have GADREEL'S memories from 1000s of years in heaven-prison too?

Hey I just thought of something on rewatch - when they find out that the psycho-angel in sam is gadreel Cas says he hasn't seen him before because he's been in "heaven's prison" & we know gadreel was also tortured in heaven...

So...does that mean that in addition to having his OWN MEMORIES from his time in Hell/Cage (potentially 1000s of years, if we take that math based on sam feeling its been a week when he went down for 5xmins in s6 n so thoughtlessly restored after cas broke his wall) ... after the possession by gadreel, does he then also have to deal with gadreels memories of being held captive and tortured in heaven too???.... after all, when crowleys in his head urging him to remember he remembered the stuff that happened while he was "submerged" - but does that mean that sam would be left with gadreels memories - along with his grace after he's kicked out? .... what if?... oh man... is there nowhere sam DOESNT get tortured/have terrible memories? - heaven , hell or earth?

(n ofc sam doesn't get any support or help because dean conveniently fucks off straight after doing that to sam - and gets himself a mark of Cain - 1xmore thing for sam to deal with.....fk u dean...but I digress)

Sam's "puppy dog eyes" are just him,hurt or ashamed - vulnerable?

We all know (&love) sammy's "puppy dog eyes" - & thanks to dean, we've been told of its amazing powers of persuasion and influence on people... I mean look at the evidence:

How could you possibly say no to this face?... I certainly couldn't ...but maybe that's the point - hear me out..

In "Scarecrow", Dean waxes lyrical about how his brother could give you this "look" and people would just "buy into" whatever it was he was saying at the time...

Elsewhere too, it's remarked upon, by Dean, about how no one can resist the power of the "puppy dog eyes" - thing that strikes me though is the language used - its almost framed like its a "manipulative tactic", something that Sam deliberately uses to his advantage somehow and is a weapon in his personal arsenal to disarm and influence people....ie "mere mortals" - the language is almost ominous and sinister...from dean.

Similarly when he talks about how sam is the one more easily able to coax whoever they're interviewing on cases to trust them, persuade them gently with his demeanour to divulge information that they'd perhaps otherwise not have shared...again framed almost like a "secret power" of Sam's....by Dean.

But then, watch the actual show and the actual times those 'puppy dog eyes' are shown by sam - he'd usually hurt or bewildered or ashamed and guilty and scared - yes, even soulless sam coz y'know he was still an actual person... if it IS a tactic it usually seems to be to try and get other person to stop hurting him or to show that he's hurting (the point of facial expressions) in hope the said person will stop - which BTW, note how he blanks in later seasons instead and stops showing his vulnerability any more?...

and whenever he's been able to convince people to share information and to trust them - it's been because he employed EMPATHY n understanding and cared about the situations these "normal" people found themselves in...ie he simply treated these folks as normal human beings caught in a bad situation and showed them some consideration,thoughtfulness amd kindness.....and that's all.

Contrast to whenever dean has been on his own (or when soulless with him instead) - he has a hard edge to him and gives off some pretty angst n downright scary vibes- not too mention, he's usually pretty suspicious or scoffing at the "civvies" in his demeanour - prolonged contact with sam has taught him to moderate himself/his approach but it's not his "natural" state with folks...

And that brings me to the point I'm trying to make on this post...

What if dean, struggling with his own "complex feelings" and being unable to ever deny sam anything coz of his own love n conditioning reads Sam's wounded look as a manipulation- a way to explain away his own "weakness" ( coz remember in john & dean's world vulnerability & love is a weakness is not what a "man" does) - ie "sammy made me do it with his bewitching eyes" instead of "I love my brother so much I can't deny him anything" is more palatable to dean.... and also, because his feelings frightened him and he's scared of the (perceived) hold sam has on him - he thinks sam MUST know of his effect on dean and MUST be using it on purpose....because conflict/threat&it's defusal & disarmament of said threat or weaponising their tools/themselves, is what they do.

And then, to further justify it to himself, he points to the interviews with civilians and how sam is able to persuade them too - so it's not just him, samm DOES have these "powers of persuasion"-bordering on ahem, the supernatural...but it's just sam being a decent human to these folks...

Just like everything else Sam's been blamed for or, something ominous being made of something he does or is - maybe those "famous" puppy-dog eyes of his are just sam looking actually, genuinely hurt,wounded,betrayed? - but it's so much easier to deflect and dismiss as a manipulative tactic so that no reparations or even acknowledgements need to be made and so no accountability required to be taken - which is after all, "dean special power"?....

it strikes me everytime, how much of our views of sam are molded and informed by dean's POV in the narrative of supernatural....

I'm beginning to wonder if we've ever actually seen sam as he was in the story at all - from an objective standpoint, let alone his own POV (which I'm sure would be far darker of himself and also inaccurate?)...

Unfortunately, we do not get any more details on his profile. It’s the same as the profile he had before the update. Age and birthplace unknown, 185 cm tall, favorite food is wild game, and his hobby is vacationing.

SDFHEGYOGYFQEN;jkhaCWIDODB A LOT OF CROWLEY'S LINES ARE VERY CHILDISH OR GOOFY... Like he has one where he complains about Grim eating his snacks, tells on students who are sleeping in class, and gets distracted by shiny objects (which, I guess, is par for the course for a crow).

Crowley cannot attend Alchemy class and does not have Chats. His Buddies are Deuce, Vil, and Grim (with Grim being his Duo Magic partner). Deuce and Vil are interesting choices, I wonder why those two in particular... (Some friends and I were memeing earlier about how "all those characters have single parents so Crowley must be a single parent" and, "Vil is the Evil Queen and Meleanor is a princess of evil", etc.) Crowley can, however, attend the other lessons and it’s every bit as awkward as you think it is. (He has a pre-lesson line where he expresses surprise taht he has to do homework 🤡)

THE CROWLEY DOPPLEGANGER ALLEGATIONS ARE TRUE 💀 He can just straight up run into a clone of himself during lessons… THE DEVS KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, they even goofily have Crowley say, “Oh! Hello, me!” while the other Crowley is in class for the special lesson… THEY KNEW HOW DUMB THIS WOULD BE 😭 (The dialogue states the Crowley that barges into class is a magical projection…?)

Here are some of his chibi sprites, as well as his Groovy candy. Crowley is not only very yasashii, but also very cute!!

He does, in fact, have vignettes but they are unvoiced. The first part is him running an assembly with the dorm leaders present. Crowley discusses the health of an adolescent apple tree in the school's courtyard, and no one seems to be interested in his speech. Malleus barges in late and, in a fit of anger at having not been invited, starts unleashing lightning. Wow, just like how Meleanor shoots lightning at Lilia... Like husband, like wife/j Everyone retires to their dorms, leaving Crowley to deal with an upset Malleus. The second part features Crowley having lunch with the other staff members (Sam included!). Each staff member is eating something different (Vargas is of course having eggs), and Crowley is revealed to have a great appetite in spite of his age. Crewel and Trein wonder how many decades old Crowley is, since he was apparently still headmaster when Crewel was a student and when Trein started teaching at NRC. Finally, Crowley is walking down main street and spots Yuu, Grim, and some mob students skipping class… so he uses his Lash of Love to discipline them! He binds everyone together and proceeds to drag them back to class. (It was surprising, we haven’t seen the Lash of Love since like… what, the prologue? I almost forgot about it.) Crowley alludes to the fact that even though the students joke about him, he is actually a very powerful mage that shouldn't be taken lightly, you know?? The vignettes end with Crowley referring to his students as "apple trees" that he is nourishing and watching over as they grow, which rounds us nicely back to the apple tree he mentioned in his first vignette.

BUT ANYWay HEREmS thE GROOviY in JUICy DETAIL INkjoW YOU WERE ALL WAiTING FOR

It’s so pretty AaAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaAaaAHHHHH 🥺 His grotesquely detailed hand reaching out to the viewer, who appears to be awaking from within a coffin… and do I have to mention the parallel between Crowley here and the mysterious hand that is offered to us in the mirror at the very beginning of the game????? Which could imply that Crowley is beckoning/summoning us into another world... The dim room, light spilling onto the Mirror of Darkness… So atmospheric!! If Crowley knows how to do one thing well and consistently, it’s drama~ The Groovy totally reminds me a lot of the prologue when Crowley tells Yuu to go before the mirror to get sorted. Omg guys... He's posted like Masquerade Malleus/j

One detail I super appreciate in this illustration is that you can see the dorm leaders in the background! If you squint, you’ll realize that there are 5 of them posing exactly like how they are in the following promotional artwork:

Bucky cautiously entered the base with his gun held up in front of him, watching every direction to make sure no one jumped out at him. He stopped in his tracks when he heard whimpering coming from a room with a lock on the door. He pressed his ear against the door, hearing more whimpers coming from inside of the locked room. Bucky broke the lock off the door with his metal hand and kicked the door down. He cautiously entered the room and seen a woman in the corner of the room.

“Ma’am…” Bucky slowly approached you so he didn’t scare you. “Are you ok?” He asks.

You uncovered your head to see the most attractive man you’ve ever seen. You didn’t say anything. You just stared at him. Bucky put his gun in the holster and crouched down in front of you. You pressed yourself more against the wall.

“I’m not going to hurt you.” He assures you. “What’s your name?” He asks.

“Y/N.” You tell him quietly, loud enough for him to hear.

“Nice to meet you, Y/N. I’m Bucky.” He introduces himself to you. “I’m going to get you out of here. Can you walk?” Bucky asks.

Bucky stood up, holding his hands out for you. You put your hands in his and he pulled you up gently. Your legs felt weak and wobbly. You fell against the front of Bucky’s body.

“I got you.” He says.

Bucky picked you up bridal style and carried you out of the room. Your grip on Bucky tightened. You were scared, but also relieved. You’ve been locked in that room for so long that you don’t remember what daylight looks like.

“Thank you! Thank you so much!” You say over and over.

“It’s no problem, doll.” Bucky says with a smile.

You leaned in and kissed him, catching Bucky by surprise. You didn’t even realize you were kissing him till a few seconds into the kiss. You froze, leaving your lips on his for a moment.

“Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry!” You quickly apologized.

“It’s ok.” Bucky says.

Once Bucky got you on the quinjet and comfortable, he was still in shock. When he got you to the med bay at the Avengers Compound, he couldn’t stop thinking about the kiss. Bucky zoned out for a moment, thinking about someone as pretty as you would want to kiss him.

“Bucky?” Steve says, snapping Bucky out of his trance.

“Huh? What?” Bucky asks, blinking a couple times.

“Are you ok? Looks like you have something on your mind.” He says.

“I-” Bucky cleared his throat before continuing his sentence. “I’m fine.” He says.

Sam and Tony couldn’t help but laugh. Bucky furrowed his eyebrows at them.

“Is your mind on the kiss that girl gave you?” Tony asks, grinning.

“Her name is Y/N!” Bucky defends you. “You guys seen her kiss me?” He says.

“So are her knight and shining armor?” Sam asks with a grin.

“He does have a metal arm.” Tony adds.

Bucky rolls his eyes and stood up.

“Buck, c’mon. They’re just teasing you.” Steve puts a hand on his shoulder. “I mean, I can say I blame her. I’d kiss someone for saving me.” He says teasingly.

Bucky shook Steve’s hand off his shoulder and went to the med bay to check on you. He walked in the room at the same time the doctor was finishing up.

“How is she?” Bucky asks, leaning against the wall.

“For someone who been locked up for a while, she’s doing well. She has a few bruises and a fractured wrist, but she’ll be fine.” The doctor put a wrist brace on your wrist. “I want to check her wrist again in a couple weeks. Other than that, she’s good to go.” The doctor tells him before leaving the room.

The room was filled with awkward silence for a moment before Bucky spoke up.

“I’ll show you where you’ll be staying.” Bucky says.

You smiled softly. Bucky helped you off the bed, leaving his arm around your waist. He took you to the room you’re going to be staying in. It’s across the hall from Bucky’s room.

“I’m sure you’re tired. My room is across the hall if you need anything.” Bucky says.

Bucky was about to walk out of the room, but you stopped him.

“Bucky?” You say.

“Yes?” He asks.

“Thank you again.” You say with a smile.

“It’s my pleasure, doll.” He smiles. “Get some rest.” He says and left the room.

Over the next couple weeks, you and Bucky grew closer to each other. You two gotten to know each other. Bucky helped you in every way he could. The Avengers are still teasing Bucky, but he’s ignoring it and focusing on you. As of right now, you’re in the med bay getting your injuries checked out again to make sure they’re healing properly. Your bruises are almost gone, but you have to wear the wrist brace a little longer than you would like.

“Hi, Bucky!” You smiled widely, entering the kitchen of the Avengers Compound.

“Hi, doll.” Bucky smiles. “What did the doctor say?” He asks.

“My injuries are healing properly and I have to wear this wrist brace a little longer.” You informed him.

“I’m happy to hear that. You look great.” He compliments, making you blush.

“Thank you.” You say, still blushing.

“Are you hungry? I was thinking about taking you to that diner I was telling you about.” He says.

“The one in Brooklyn? I would love to go!” You say with a smile.

Bucky held his hand out which you happily held. Bucky being the gentleman he is opened the car door for you. He even opened the door for you at the diner.

“I wanted to talk to you about something.” Bucky says, trying not to sound awkward.

“About what?” You asked.

“The kiss.” He says.

“Oh…” You chuckled a little. “I’m sorry about that. Please don’t think I’m one of those girls who kisses the first guy she sees. You’re just really attractive and I couldn’t help myself.” You say nervously and continued rambling.

“Doll, you’re rambling.” He says, gently putting his hand on yours.

“Sorry.” You mumbled loud enough for him to hear.

“You have nothing to apologize for.” He starts. “If I’m being honest, I liked it. I mean, I was surprised that someone as pretty as you would want to kiss me, but I liked it.” He says with a smile.

You smiled back. The waitress brought you guys your food.

“Eat up, doll. You still need to regain your strength.” Bucky says.

You listened and ate almost everything. You and Bucky got back to the Compound at sunset. You went to your room and took a shower and put on comfortable clothes. Then there was a knock at the door.

“Come in!” You say loudly.

The door opens, revealing Bucky. You smiled and patted the spot next to you on the bed. Bucky took a seat next to you.

“I just wanted to check on you before you went to bed.” Bucky says.

“I’m fine. Thanks for checking on me.” You say, smiling at him.

Before you knew it, your lips were on his again. Your eyes widened and you pulled away.

“I did it again! I’m so sorry!” You say, covering your face with your hands in embarrassment.

Bucky uncovered your face and kissed you passionately, catching you off guard.

“I told you earlier that I like it when you kiss me.” He says softly.

Bucky kisses you once’s more before pulling away.

“Stay with me tonight?” You asked, hoping he would say yes.

“Of course.” Bucky smiles.

You two laid down and covered up with the blankets. You laid your head on his chest, your fingers played with his dog tags. His heartbeat soothed you.

“Thank you for saving me.” You say before falling asleep.

“I’d do it again in a heartbeat, doll.” Bucky says and kissed the top of your head.

Coulda done a million different things even with the COVID restrictions (the two actors in a room across a table, do whatever to keep them safe) but whatever 🤦🏾‍♀️

So after God comes vampires w/ masks? Really SPN?

The minute Dean slammed the Impala’s trunk shut after sundown made me nervous (that would be the last time he’s with his Impala, the last time he ever sees her w/ his own eyes 🥺😭)

Out of all the folks to pull outta the SPN peanut gallery you pick that random chick from 1x19?! Jenny?! Just to kill her off anyway (so I spoke too soon, vampJenny is the official last female to die on this show)

Suddenly the Wincest people aren’t so crazy. Why are y’all encouraging this?! Dude, they’re brothers!?! #brothersnotlovers. They could’ve done it like the end of Pearl Harbor where they got Ben Affleck crying over Josh Harnett’s body in the crash. Gimme weepy Sam, that Oscar moment. Dean died sooo young 🥺😒 younger than Mary (I know she was technically in her thirties but TBH she was 64/65), bobby, Rufus, Ellen & John. This is why we can’t have nice things😔

Cas is gonna be so saaaad. He always fought so hard for Dean's sake, only for the guy to die so young…it’s an insult - an outrage really. Dean fought so hard for so long only for him to say - it was always gonna end this way?! 😡

He didn’t have to make it to old age (though he deserved to) but don’t let him die like this. All accepting so soon after resolving the meta plot 😔 there were things Dean probably wanted to do and now, he’ll never get his chance. He could’ve settled down with someone (it wouldn’t have been Cas since he got killed off already but shit I would’ve settled for Dean to settle with anyone for a minute, like Sam did) - also would’ve been nice to hear from Jody or Donna and others one last time but hey fuck the side characters 🤣 (oh COVID the scapegoat that keeps on giving - it’s like the showrunners forgot the convenience of modern technology).

So Chuck definitely won - he's no longer burdened by having to deal w/ the universe and one of the Winchesters died anyway. Not exactly as planned but they never broke free, not really. I totally subscribe to this theory. Especially since it’s alluded to that Dean Jr - Sam’s son - is a hunter also at the time of Sam’s death by old age (we think…I’m just saying that’s an awful not of tubes and stuff for the old man, maybe just to monitor his heart rate/health - eh)

The Sam wig is bad but eh - doesn’t bother me - we’re talking about a CW show wrapping up a project, it’s not the end of the world people, the plot is what matter s and the plot here is a fucking shit show my lord. It’s not the first show to suffer a shit ending to a show that captivated worldwide audiences but damn this is a bummer.

Especially since it’s alluded to that Dean Jr - Sam’s son - is a hunter also at the time of Sam’s death by old age (we think…I’m just saying that’s an awful not of tubes and stuff for the old man, maybe just to monitor his heart rate/health - eh) But yay for Sam apparently - couldn’t think of a better name for your son than Dean Jr.? It only makes sense to make the kid a junior if it was Dean’s actual kid, like Dean would’ve been Dean Sr. And his boy would’ve been Dean Jr. or Dean W. The II. And and hello there women whose face we don’t get to see (really committing to limiting women’s presence in the show - again probably blaming in on COVID but if you have a literal baby with this giant man, you can chance a woman being there in an actual camera shot where we can see her face 🙄) Back to Dean - again cuz of COVID? I guess - we don’t get to see him reunite with anyone (not his MOM even?) except Bobby for like 1 second and then he’s just driving around in his car. No roadhouse, no fishing, nothing but sitting in his car, alone killing time until Sam inevitably returns to him.

Oh what a shame…

So that happened I guess. SPN was something else, for better or worse. Probably never gonna get a show like that again. They tried it with the Winchesters spin off about a supposed alternate universe MaryxJohn thing and friends but honestly if its not about the Winchesters brothers or Destiel who cares 🤣 they pretty much wrapped up Sam & Dean’s stories thanks to this finale but Dean (per the Winchesters flop) could be brought back into the fray somehow if they wanted - but hey that’s what fanfiction’s for 😁

Well SPN it’s been interesting…sort of.

On that note…

I wanna thank the fans of the show, your hot takes, memes and general fervor over this show/story is what finally made me watch it all. Cuz I remember the TV spots from back in the day, cruising the CW channel on weeknights after school. I was too busy watching other shows to give SPN a chance while it aired. So thank you 🙏🏽
