and yeah i recovered from the dentist JHDGJ thankfully it wasnt wisdom teeth cuz then maybe itd take longer but the numbness wore off in the evening. and how are you holding up?

I can't do much productively during the heat wave/health issue flare up/etc. like work on my games or anything where I have to sit at the computer/type for long periods of time, BUT.. I did passively sculpt a few tiny foods lol. I wanted to do one of my bigger usual sculptures, but those take so much more time and concentration, I thought something small just to keep my hands busy would be better.. close up photos look kind of weird and blurry from my camera settings or something, but overall they came out okay, especially in person.. Nearly the only reason I ever wanted to buy dolls as a kid was to get my hands on the miniature foods and plates and stuff that came with them, I've always just been obsessed with small versions of things like that, so.. why not make some! lol

i like thinking about post- (or during-) ep-5 pat being able to make sense of a lot of things about himself now that he knows he's queer and has feelings for pran (why he was jealous that pran sang their song with wai and co., why he was depressingly lonely when pran was at boarding school, it's all making sense now, etc), but it's especially fun to think about him retroactively recognizing the physical attraction for what it was. specifically thinking of ep 4 scene where he calls pran cute three times in, like, just as many seconds. "cute dimples you have there. if i have these dimples, will i be as cute as you? [you want to have dimples?] yes, so I can be cute like you are." narak triple whammy. pre-feelings pre-coming-out pat was just fully like yeah i'm charmed by my not-friend not-enemy's cute face i think i want those dimples for myself and i want to make him blush about it i will not interrogate this because it feels good & right in the moment. now add those realized feelings: he finds pran physically attractive because he's into guys, and he wants to make pran blush about how cute he is because he's into pran specifically, and he does still want those dimples for himself...but in a different way....

Just started a book that is a work of historical fiction for fun (I picked one that was an available audiobook through my library at random) and in the first chapter disabled babies are referred to as "human rejects." Oof oof oof oof.

thinking about paul falling for one of his engineers… he doesn’t notice himself falling at first until he catches himself always thinking about you, wanting to spend time with you, staring at you during debriefs and post race data analysis… and the poor guy’s too shy to do anything and doesn’t want to make anything awkward so he just goes on as he normally does, but inside he’s going crazy (don’t worry, engineer likes him back 😋)

Reunion dinner prep is no joke. Octavia recruited Cherry to help make dumplings and put Tyler to work building a new chair to accommodate their growing guest list.

Yes, Dawson will be joining us... Octavia wasn't sure about the idea of it at first—after all, reunion dinner is meant for family and close friends. But a party ended up being the perfect way for her to meet and get to know Cherry last summer.
