Before discussing basic yoga postures one should know what yoga is and its health benefits. What is Yoga? Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India. Because of its various health benefits like improving body strength and flexibility, reducing stress and anxiety, etc most people across the world are undergoing Offline or Online Yoga Teacher Training.
Kundalini Yoga
The word Kundalini is a familiar one to all students of Yoga, as it is well known as the power, in the form of a coiled serpent, residing in Muladhara Chakra, the first of the seven Chakras, the other six being Svadhishthana, Manipuraka, A Anahata, Visuddha, Ajna and Sahasrara, in order. Less is historically known of the Agamas than the Vedas, because the latter provide descriptive poem-pictures of Vedic life. The original Agamas are twenty-eight in number. They are called Saiva Agamas as they focus on establishing a relationship with and ultimately realizing the Supreme Being Siva. They carry names like Vira, Hero. Siddha, Perfected and Swayambhuva, naturally revealed. The Agamas are divided into four parts called padas, lessons. The first two padas - Chariya good conduct, and Kriya, external worship,- include all the details of personal home life, house planning, town planning, personal worship in temples, the architectural plans for temples, and sculpture as well as the intricacies of temple puja. The final two padas - Yoga, internalized worship and union, and Jnana, enlightened wisdom, – vividly describe the processes and stages of kundalini yoga, and the Cod-like plateaus of consciousness reached when Sivahood is attained. In the actual texts, the padas are ordered with jnana first, yoga second, then kriya and charity - unfurling from a God-state to a human state. The Agamas contain tens of thousands of verses, much more prolific than the Vedas. Though the Vedas stayed strictly in Sanskrit, the Agamas proliferated across India and oilier countries through many languages. But they fared poorly over the millennia, particularly the Yoga and Jnana Padas - so high and powerful. The custodian Saiva priests neglected them. Many padas of the entire Agamas were lost or destroyed.

A spontaneous overnight trip to Salzburg with Lexi. The Austrian supermarket. Peach toilet paper. Way too many calories (Kaspressknödel, Spinatknödel, meringue with whipped cream...), a spa night at our hotel (sauna, steam bath, watching the neighbours in their fancy penthouse, selfie session with fruit), crisp sheets, the BEST Sunday breakfast, interesting exhibitions at the modern museum (items dipped in the Dead Sea so they'd crystalise; art to commemorate the moon landing).
Watching Un plus une with Jean Dujardin. It's set in India. They filmed in some of the exact spots I visited, too. Weirdly triggering. I loved learning about Amma, too. And the female lead in that moving is fascinating, too.
Alice Boman - Waiting / an old favourite I came across in Toni Collette's Wanderlust television series.
Combining sweet and savoury taste. The best snacks. Like my Nidar Smash substitute: eat some Bugles and a piece of milk chocolate at the same time. Basically the same thing. But obviously I appreciated the two bags Lena and Obi brought me from Norway!

TEDxTUM - unfortunately not as interesting as it could and should have been. They addressed important topics but they only talked about the surface of the issues and frankly I just didn't like most of the speakers. Still a really great opportunity to learn about new ideas. I talked to the woman who works with mental health issues; perhaps we can get her to work for PI Munich to offer teacher training there.

Actually lighting a candle (and almost burning down the house when I accidentally threw a piece of paper over the candle). Starting with yoga again, slowly. I feel so immobile and stiff. It's kinda scary how quickly your body loses its form and shape when you're having a hard time.
Having a super bad day (too much coffee on an empty stomach triggers my beast mode), being super depressed, lying awake at 2am. Starting to sing along to songs from the Grinch movie. So there IS something I still feel passionate about. My green spirit animal!
