The following are just my observations that I have noticed in my acquaintances and celebrities who have influenced me. If you are offended, just block me and don't make hate comments. I saw this thread on twitter, Credits to @//rlctnt,He / She pointed out here that "interest in cars is 3H in a lot of ways, so significant 3H is up there, but also a very prominent Mercury & its made prominent even more when u have the Mercury signs Mars is also one as it lends someone technical knowledge to have an interest in cars & understanding of engines" this is what he said in one of his tweets. I also noticed that most of them have sidereal leo placement (mainly purva phalguni and Uttara phalguni nakshatra) have mercury is connected to cars but the leo sign also has it because maybe in the bhavat bhavam of gemini is the leo (3rd from 3rd is 5th)

The connection of Ketu and wealth goes unnoticed. The top wealthiest, according to Forbes (as of writing this observation), are Bernard Arnault (Vimshottari Ketu-ruled Magha rising), Elon Musk (Ashlesha Ketu in 2nd), and Jeff Bezos (Mula Moon and Mercury with Purva Ashadha Ketu).

But for this post, I am only focusing on these three since they are the top three on this list.

Bernard Arnault: He began his professional career from 1971 to 1978, according to Wikipedia. Around that time, his Rahu Mahadasha just entered. Take note that his Rahu is in Ashwini Nakshatra (one of the Vimshottari Ketu-ruled). Also, his Saturn Return occurred at that time (he has Magha Saturn in the 1st house, Parivatan yoga with his Sun).

2. Elon Musk: Most probably know that Elon was not born poor. Wikipedia states that "The family was wealthy during Elon's youth. Despite both Musk and Errol previously stating that Errol was a part owner of a Zambian emerald mine."My interpretation for Elon is that he has Ketu in the 2nd house. Ketu is all about what you've mastered in the past, and the 2nd house is about accumulated resources. No wonder that's why he was rich during his youth. Elon Musk owns Tesla. He has Purva Phalguni moon, which supports my statement about the cars connected to Leo (mainly Purva Phalguni).

I also observed the connection of the Ardra Mula axis in space (including the other Rahu and Ketu ruled nakshatras). Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have rocket companies; this is very telling to me about their connection. Also, a fun fact: the first man on the moon, Neil Armstrong, has an Ashlesha sun and a Mula moon.

3. Jeff Bezos: He's the owner of Amazon. He started Amazon and officially became a billionaire around his Moon Mahadasha (Mula moon). His original idea for Amazon was initially an online marketplace for books, which is connected to Ketu. Many of the Ketuvians that I know are bookworms (Claire Nakti made a video about them).

Apparently, He's also the founder of Blue Origin ( The Rocket company). One of the evidence that Nodes (Rahu and Ketu has a connection to Spaceships)

the official story was that he was injured in a biking accident

what the media didn't know was that he was just going down their cozy residential street in montreal with the dog, his wife and his daughter

lance was the only one to hit the pothole

hence two broken wrists and a broken toe

"daddy!" ayla shouts from her mother's shoulders as y/n stroll laughs, gingerly helping her daughter put both feet back on the garage floor

ayla launches herself at her father, and lance is trying not to wince as the toddler steps on his previously broken toe

"hey, princess." he coos, hefting ayla into his arms despite the pain shooting through his arms. "did you see how fast my car was?"

"i saw you hit uncle fernando at the beginning."

"babe, your wrists." y/n warns softly, kissing her husband on the cheek. "i'm proud of you, lance.

"where is my son and my granddaughter!" claire-ann stroll choruses, jaunting through the garage to take ayla out of lance's arms before congratulating her son with a kiss on both cheeks

y/n laughed as lance's cheeks went red before she gently took his hand in hers

"come on, let's go ice this wrist of yours."

they go out to the back patio of the hospitality suite

fireworks are still going off, post race celebrations ensuing as the happy couple sit down at one of the cast iron tables

their own quiet corner of the universe as y/n wraps both of her husband's wrists in an ice pack

"you really do need to be more careful, honey. you could have made everything worse out there. i was worried, though you wouldn't have guessed it from the way i was cheering in there."

"i know, baby. i know." lance said softly, leaning over to press a kiss to the side of his wife's head. "and i know things have been really difficult lately, but i feel like something finally went right for once."

y/n smiled. "you'll get your podium, sweetheart. i know you will."

things had been far from easy in the stroll household for the past few months

they had been trying desperately for a second child, but each attempt had been met with a disappointing ending

it hadn't been easy on either of them

all lance wanted was for his wife to be happy

all that y/n wanted was a family.

"i think that things are going to start looking up for us sooner than you think."

and lance hates himself for getting his hopes up, just in case it fails again, just in case of the worst case scenario

neither of them can stop their smiles

lance is pretty sure that a tear or two fell when he wasn't looking.

pulling his wife in for a hug, wrists be damned.

"i'm so happy right now, i can't even explain it."

lance kisses her again, the smile still etched on his face.

"i love you more, y/n."

he looks towards the hospitality doors.

"do you think my mom would be up to babysit tonight? i feel like we haven't had enough time to ourselves lately. i want to take you out to celebrate."

"as long as you're buying me dessert."

lance can't remember being this happy since he held his daughter for this first time.

Weirdboygirl Percy headcanons

(But it's almost entierly me just sharing my friends' because i'm a sap who wants them to be appreciated /lh)

When i say 'weirdboygirl',i mean it-Percy is transfem bigender and autistic with no masking ability based off canon subtext that borderlines on straight up text.He's also afrolatina/monoracial black dominican for the same reason and he's mostly femme but has a decent amount of masc thrown in there for gender fuckery and he's crustpunk with pastel/kidcore elements thrown in

He's a huge gamer who's got his own low cost setup and only dosen't do Lets Plays even though he has a vlog channel because with how he is that's setting himself up for getting viral meme'd

He thinks adult only shows and movies are absolute ass due to being too dark so he watches pg ones only including pre-schooler ones(Bluey is his favorite obviously)and he has no shame in it since he's not a freak about it

She listens to obscure podcasts and rambles about them and she's a part time artist thanks to her and Rachel being queerplatonic besties but she dosen't do grand materpieces and just draws weird shit and same for crafts

Her favorite musicians are nostalgic ex-weirdkid ones like My Chemical Romance and All Time Low and The Cheetah Girls and then it's shit like Everybody's Worried about Owen and The Cure and Meet Me @ The Altar and Metallica and a bunch of transfem artists and general genres they love are Lo-Fi Beats,Breakcore and Punk Rock

Her special interests are blue,video games,kidcore,cats and anarchy.Blue is not Percy's lifestyle but Percy's way of life,she plays only free games and uses an emulator for the rest,kidcore is a huge coping mechanism from her extremely brutal childhood,she employs a lot cat based things in their daily life and even naturally acts like a cat sometimes including a meowing vocal stim and she goes full force in Tales of Dead Seas,a Hoo one year later sequel that's about Percy dismantleing the greco-roman mythos world system starting with killing Zeus and things go up hill for everybody who's not a dickbag from there and this includes Percy gaining new powers even pre-deicide but actually having mentors this time and she actively helps out with activism in addition to all her direct action across all 5 books of her last official story

The only sea related things they love are because Sally does so she raised them in them all the time and they've got mixed feelings on them post claiming because of how awful Poseidon is but they very slowly reclaim it for themselves and the process is given big boost when their egg cracks as they use mermaid/seapunk aesthetics for presentation and their personality a little too and it gives them gender euphoria

They refuse to drink energy drinks that aren't blue colored so they have a whole stash of them and junk food too with a threatning note attached to it,their go to store is unironically Claire's and they made sure to beat the Hot Topic allegations by loud and proud announcing how much they hate them for being sellouts and fakeout freaks and they're neither a skater boy nor a surfer dude because ewww but a guitarist and a multitask helper at the Familia Jackson Beach Shack

He's also Nico and Hazel's eldest sibling figure and pseudo-dad that got them away from Hades forever and Sally legally adopted them so they all live together in the mortal world and stick together as a trio too in the mythos world.He's their caregiver but also their best friend and radicalized them and taught them how to be punks,Nico choosing tradgoth and Hazel pastel goth.Their relathionship is extremely intimate and equally silly but that dosen't mean they never had problems to unpack and fix-Siblings aren't perfect but real siblings are the ones who try to be anyway and don't expect eternal forgiveness regardless.That's what makes us siblings,not JUST blood

And they healed his inner child a lot just by hanging out with him and loving him and letting him take full responsibility in their best friendship and on the other end there's nobody who's helped Nico and Hazel heal and be stronger and be themselves like Percy has.They're eachother's whole world and multiverse and rubbed off on eachother significantly(Nico and Percy's love for video games,Percy and Hazel's artistry,Hazel and Nico's taste in food,all three of their love for kiddy things)and Percy helps Hazel with girls

He was Warrior Cats kid and gets back into it as an adult and loves it even more and yes,he roleplayed it his classmates during recess yet they pretended they hadn't and mocked and animalized him for years because how long his hyperfixation it is lasted and that's why he gave it up in his teenage years but returned to it and reclaimed the catlike behavior it gave him as autistic swag

Percy's five love languages:Humor,comfort,justice,unrestrained fun and diy'd gifts.All giving and recieving and none strictly platonic or romantic,Love is stored in the Percy

She knows how to diy so many things it's a running gag and includes things that don't exist,her biggest comfort characters are:Cookie Monster,Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy(she's a huge Flutterdash stan so she refuses to seperate them),Brandy's Cinderella,Shego,Cookie Nessa and Marina from Nintendo,Yang Xiao Long,Katara,Sonic The Hedgehog,Amy Rose and the Adventure Time Cast as a whole and her type is other autistic afrolatinos/afrolatinas who're pastel punk to her crustpunk

He (jokingly) kins Hobbie Brown and Gwen Stacy and looks like she could be Hobie's older brother

She acts and talks in ways people find offputting and strange but by now she's learned to stop being ashamed and happily embraced that she'll never be normal but that that dosen't mean she's not loved dearly and by so many people and realized that's what she truly wanted from the start instead of not being different from everyone else.Because she's the most awesome as all fuck person ever

An official introduction to Selene Acies (she/her), a divination witch born 1887 and forever nineteen since 1906. She can tell people's future's by studying their auras, and on very rare occasions, can also tell prophecies (though they tend to be indecipherable gibberish). Selene also has an interest in astrology and astronomy :)

Selene grew up in England for a good chunk of her childhood before being sent to southern France with her mother for...reasons. Reasons that involved her mother, her mother’s merchant husband, and a wizard. Selene met Zoe when she was twelve, in 1889. Which was good considering Selene's powers were really emerging. Zoe was the one who helped Selene figure out how to tame her magic using a book she "borrowed" from Douxie.

Unfortunately, Zoe had to leave on business with Douxie, and shenanigans occur that leave Selene alone. But huzzah gaining immortality through these plot-relevant events!

But Selene and Zoe run into each other again in 1918 on a boat headed toward New York City. Selene gets to properly meet Douxie and Archie, and the gang spends the 20s, 30s, and 40s together. Once WWII ended, the gang split up for a long time, but met back in Arcadia Oaks. In present-day Arcadia, Selene works at the planetarium, and has her own online astrology business.

Selene is very open and honest, so much so she may come off as blunt. She can be straightforward and take things a bit literally. But she always has a 'positive' attitude about it. She comes off as laid-back and carefree, but it masks a general indifference to the state of the world.

Living for over a hundred years and having the power of prophecy, Selene has the idea that everything happens for a reason, because it's destiny. She hasn't seen someone 'break destiny' before, and to Selene, the future is set in stone and immutable. Douxie challenges her on this idea, but Selene is indifferent. At this point, she'd rather spend time with people she cares about and have fun because the one Proper Prophecy she's ever had tells her that the world as they know it will be lost to time, and Selene doesn’t think anything can change that.

Random tidbits:

Zoe has always been a sort of mentor to Selene, like how Douxie had Claire. They get on when it comes to music, and Selene goes to Zoe for tech help because stars know this girl still doesn’t understand some modern technology.

Douxie and Selene got on for a while, but over time, they grew apart. Douxie believes that though they might not be remembered in history, they can still make a difference and help people. Selene doesn’t see the point in trying.

On new moons, Selene loses her ability to read people's futures.

On full moons, Selene has a higher chance of having a Proper Prophecy (they usually end up just being gibberish).

Selene has had chronic migraines from her divination powers. Her rose-colored glasses are charmed to limit her sight (ha) and help control them.

Douxie has his vambrace and Zoe has her wand…Selene conducts magic through her earrings. The current pair she has are actually just the original earrings her mother gave her with the dangly stars added.

Selene's love life is...complicated. This is plot-relevant.

Selene’s family is…also complicated. This is also plot-relevant.

Selene is big into swing dance, but hates waltz.

This is Claire Taker, a new OC I've made! And let me tell you- the origins of the OC is fucking weird.

This tainwreck of a Lady came about because I was reading @zoeywinterrose's smiling critter fanfic on A03 (which you can check out HERE), started letting THE VOICES speak through me, eventually pulled out the original story I have and made the Caretaker seen there into a fully realized character in my story (get it? Claire Taker?), told them so, found each other on tumblr, because friends(?), and they maybe sort of said yes when I said I was gonna draw the character and make and AU of their AU (in some order there, the progression of events may be off a bit)... I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT TO THIS POINT.

So yeah, I'm gonna be both explaining this character, my own story, and having all that be loosely connected to Poppy Playtime (Again how did I get here?) So the tags are gonna be silly because of that.

Claire Taker is, as said before, a Magical Girl by the name of Heart Hollow (well Technically Magical Woman, she is pretty old but I prefer saying magical girl)... well the term for in my Canon is a "Blessed" or "Actor"... but those are the official terms, she and the others still use Magical Girl and Magical Boy (because that IS what they are)

And yes! There are both Magical Boys and Girls in this World!

Claire Fights with her Fists and Legs, being a close range brawler, as well as fights with her threads. She uses them in a variety of ways, from creating points to jump, pulling things to her or pulling herself to them, wrapping up targets, or even sometimes using them a whips.

Her Threads are also capable of Stitching people back together and healing them! Apparently the world thinks this means she should be one of the few to get constantly injured, needing to reattach her limbs in the middle of fights sometimes! (or it could be seen as caused by her low self worth as well). I mean look at all of those scars! And those are just the ones she couldn't fully heal for different reasons, she gets hurt alot! ("Better then letting one the kids take the hit" she would say)

Her mental health isn't the best, but it gets really bad when she is alone- Luckily, she's gained the trust of the Parents of the three kid members of Her group to look after them while their at work- as well as fostering the teens when they need somewhere private to hand out. (Her home is like one of 2 unofficial team bases)

At this point, almost everyone who isn't an adult (and two who are like 18-19) calls her Auntie- which she is still getting used too.

After finally getting into a far more okay mindset, she takes to jogging and exercise in her free time. She even helps the younger of the team practice fighting forms and working out when they train at all.

She actually owns a good few properties thanks to her parents- and after her depression weakened she put them up for rent. After a while (and learning how to duplicate cash with Starlight from the group's resident self appointed "Chaotic Gremlin") she was able to start getting a good amount of cash saved up for when the group needs a break or wants to go somewhere fun- (The cost is usually split between her and the other full Adult in the group most of the time).

She still has episodes where her is very not okay (like panic attacks or just bad thoughts)- but it never gets to the point where she feels like hurting herself at all anymore. It helps that one of the kids, the team's unofficial mascot, lets himself be her comfort animal when she has these episodes (and while he hates to admit it, he does enjoy her hugs)

Claire Taker's Story:

(Content Warning! This gets a bit dark!)

Claire Taker used to be a Person of Joy, living life as Happy as any other- even had Children she cherished most dearly... however one day- in a series of events, Claire loses her kids, be it an Accident or something far worse. Believing herself to be solely at fault, she shut down, remaining within her home and rarely leaving. At first those closest to them attempt to help, as it does, even if She rarely talked or interacted. Just being with others helped to keep her afloat...

But she was abandoned- left alone... and that is what sealed her fate. For a long time- years, close to Ten even, she drowned. She lost her smile, her kindness, her emotions, her Love. She tried, and try she did to get better... but she still drowned all the same.

She made many half attempts on her life- and the one time she fully went through with it- she only lived because she forgot to turn off the Safety on the Gun. This attempt was on the day, when she was so close to pulling herself back together that she was reminded of her kids- undoing all the work she did to get better at a single moment (one the prolonged her deep depression for a few more years-)

Eventually, upon one better day Claire spent shopping with a local mall for much needed supplies for her bare home, a Star fell from the Sky and landed nearby. From it formed a Matrix, and Starlight Leaked into the world. The pure, unfiltered and uncontrolled Starlight, the Blood of Creation, tainted the area in its presence, and Claire. The Building Creaked and Groaned as Starlight lashed into the populace surrounding. Many ran as the structure began to collapse around them...

And Yet Claire stepped forward, Drawn in by the Star.

Even while her body warped, as fur sprouted from her skin and monstrous claws ripped out from between her fingers. As her bones cracked and shattered before being reformed. As the demented whispers that long accompanied her gained form, breaking out from Claire's back and ripping into her flesh-

She reached the center, Where the Fallen Star has landed and with her last bit of strength before she became tainted under Starlight, reached out and touched the Glowing Star within the Epicenter-

And Starlight gathered and condensed, leaving her body, the surrounding air, and returning herself from the Monstrous form it was trying to become- And within her hands laid her Matrix, a Softly glowing heart floating between her palms.

A Stranger came to her one day, and promised her he would grant her most wanted wish "To return your children to you" in exchange for gathering as much Starlight she could.

She, like many other Actors, believed his word, and walked forward with a long lost flame in her eyes, ready to do Anything to get her children back.

Even after learning there was others like her (most of them teenagers or young adults), even after learning that many of the monsters she is fighting against and killed to gather Starlight (the Tainted or Cursed) were once people, even after she learned that should she actually get her wish- she would have to kill the other Blessed and steal their Starlight- She continued on.

It was only when the Three Children amongst the Blessed stood against her to protect their older peers then she questioned if what she was doing was worth it- if ignoring the signs that something was wrong was worth it- if her once beloved children would accept being brought back through the blood of others- if she could really kill these three if it was required of her.

It was from there, after giving up and fleeing that she changed from an antagonist to a protector akin to Tuxedo Mask for the Blessed- more so the Three kids that fought in this battle than the other Blessed.

It was here that Claire was taught how to tell if a Cursed was made from a person, animal, or object/fully made from Starlight as well as how to defeat the Tainted without killing the Person or Creature within. She learned that gathering Starlight is unneeded, and should she continue to gather Starlight like she has- she would only overwhelm her Matrix and become a Cursed herself. She learned how to truly use Starlight, how to prevent herself from Tainting someone on accident, and how to dispose of unneeded Starlight safely.

She was slowly pulled into the Group, being one of the Few Actors to listen and stop the senseless fighting between them. Even when she fell and broke, these Bright Souls dragged Claire along, taking her on their group adventures away from the Magic within their lives. Exploring the town, eating at an Café, enjoying the park. Slowly but surely, she became apart of this group, of the team who fought against the darkness that surrounded them.

The rest of the Blessed, especially the younger of them, started to call Claire 'Auntie'.

However, there was one final truth all of them avoided telling Claire, the final Lie told to Claire about the situation, even if in the depths of her heart she knew the answer herself yet feared to speak it aloud in vain hope for it not to be true.

That there was no Wish- That it was the ploy of The Man who Thought Himself God to either gather followers and resources or spark war between those who could threaten his goals and attempt to turn them into monsters- a Truth that they all knew could break Claire, steal her reason for continuing to live, to stand up tall.

They were going to, right after they handled this newest Tainted... but The Man who Thought Himself God appeared near the battles end... and with a smile, knowing Claire's history of mental health, and the reasons for it, held her by the throat while floating in the air, while Claire thrashed and fought with all of her might, while her allies called out in fear and rushed to save her, whispered in her Ear- "I lied~ There is no Wish, no reversing your most heinous Sin. Your children will never come back- for you killed them. They are gone and you killed them."

Claire SHATTERED then and there. Once again all of the work she put into getting better, doing better shattered- and as The Man who Thought Himself God threw her from high above towards the ground- Starlight, once Shining, became fully black- And the Blessed became Cursed under the weight of Despair-

Mother Gospel: The Harbinger of Mourning was born- as so her fellow Blessed fought, and after a long an almost lethal fight, where the extent of Claire's grief and broken heart was bared to the world, the ones who claimed her as their own, with all they had, ripped Claire out of her Depression made Manifest, and saved her from her fate.

Amongst the broken building, Claire laid as her Heart, once healing, was now torn apart once more as she cried tears of sorrow... and then she was hugged by the most youngest of them... then the other children joined in, all crying and making sure their Auntie was okay. The older kids of the Group joined in as well, despite two having to be dragged within. And even the young adults sat nearby and showed their love for Claire-

And that was what it was- Claire was LOVED, and she could Love in return. She was not Alone anymore, and so the dam burst within her and she cried and screamed and hugged back as sadness and joy danced within her. Her Hollow Heart had become not so Hollow anymore.

It took time, but somewhat soon Claire stood, still in mourning of her lost children, still not fully okay, but she could finally move on, she could finally live with those who saved her from that Sea that engulfed her and gave her warmth and belonging.

And so she fought, and even now fights, against those that would bring about the horrors she went through upon to others with the family formed under the Light of the Stars.

Death Island: Jill's Character Arc

So I've now watched all the official resident evil movies (the animated ones) in order, so I just finished Death Island. I have a few thoughts on it!

(Disclaimer: DEATH ISLAND SPOILERS! this is not a hate post made to diss anyone who likes the movie! I just like media analysis and I want to open a discussion about this movie!)

For having such a big cast of characters that we know and love, I have to say that Death Island is my least favorite movie out of the bunch...I feel like the pacing is a bit weird and I don't really feel immersed or engaged with the story. A lot of that has to do with how they handle the character arcs.

A downside of the big cast is that they don't focus on individual characters as much, and I really felt that this should've been Jill's movie. As much as like Chris, Leon, Rebecca and Claire, I think that if the movie had a focus on Jill (her trauma, her feelings, etc) it would've made a much more solid movie. We get little tastes of it in the movie but I would love if it was expanded upon; with Jill realizing that actions in trying not to feel helpless/guilty/in control is only going to put others in danger.

A good scene to reflect that would've been the scene where everyone was infected by the drones. I think it would've been really interesting to see Jill shut down in a way, or maybe have her actions be the cause of the others being infected (instead of those drones) because that would solidify the message that her actions she took to make herself feel better and more in control ultimately ended up in her friends getting hurt. (Which I feel like was kinda the message they were trying to go for in the movie.)

This would also reflect better with Dylan Blake, the villain, as a foil. He feels helpless in the face of "good and evil" and he felt helpless when his team got turned in Raccoon City. Everything he does after that is to "atone" for what he did and make everyone else feel as helpless as he did as a pawn of Umbrella. You know who also feels like she has to atone for being a pawn of someone else? Jill! They both feel guilty for doing something that was ultimately out of their control and deal with it in unorthodox manners.

(I think even Jill sees how ridiculous this thought process is by the end of the movie, where she says something like: "You're gonna kill the whole world because you feel sorry for killing your friend?" Which, funnily enough, reflects exactly what Jill was doing athe the beginning of the movie; possibly getting herself and others killed just because she felt bad that she tried to kill Chris when mind controlled.)

But the difference between Jill and Dylan would be that Jill would be able to realize her risky behavior is only making herself MORE at risk and helpless, even if it means having a bit of control. That she has to rely on her friends and move past the guilt in order to do what is right. Relinquish a bit of control and put some trust in her friends hands. Forgive herself. Dylan is unable to do that, which separates him from Jill and ultimately leads him to be a villain (and his demise).

I think it would be a wonderful message for Jill to forgive herself and decide that she WANTS to heal. Healing from trauma is one of my favorite things to explore in a story (especially if it's messy) and I think it would fit within the story of Resident Evil so well... And their characters definitely deserve it LOL

But what do you guys think? Do you like the movie or do you think it would've been better if it was more Jill-centric?

tldr; I think I would like Bare: The Musical as a standalone story, but as a Bare: A Pop Opera adaptation/re-interpretation I think it falls short in a lot of ways.

oh. okay. it was certainly A Watch - definitely interesting! full of odd character choices I didn’t love, most notably the basketball team and the way that side plot played out, also the merging of Nadia & Lucas’ characters. I think it does a huge disservice to Nadia’s character, the McConnell twins relationship, Nadia & Peter’s relationship, & I like Lucas as a character (& a plot device) so it really feels like a lose-lose situation. And I would’ve liked to have Peter’s mother at least alluded to, especially given how much more Sister Joan seems to fill a motherly role (and it would’ve made sense thematically! Given his hypothetical conversion with Jason’s mother in You & I, coupled with Diane’s whole spiel about her mom being her best friend - it’s a missed opportunity imo) (even tho as established for this characterisation of Peter it’s not quite so necessary)

that said! credit where credit is due - I am supremely intrigued by the characterisation of… okay most of the cast now I’m thinking about it. Would definitely like to do a comparative character breakdown (let me know if anyone else would care for that at all).

Emo puppy dog Matt Lloyd you are so special (it’s such a silly way to play him!! the show all but eliminates the academic part of his and Jason’s rivalry and THAT makes me sad bc I think it would be so so interesting to play into the rivalry more with this Matt and this Jason - but the way Matt & Ivy’s relationship exists in this version of the show, the absolute lack of any academic focus At All [which?? like they are At School, that SHOULD count for something] and even the play part feels somewhat lacklustre in so regards to the Matt vs Jason element, which again I think is a mark against B;TM)

as I said above - I think I would like Bare: The Musical as a standalone story, but as a Pop Opera adaptation/re-interpretation I think it falls short in a lot of ways. Which is another point - it’s so so crazy to me that The Musical is the adaptation of the Pop Opera, not the other way around. Which kind of sucks! because I think making it into a book musical, not a sung-through show, does give a little more breathing room for character & relationship work and development, but it just seems ill utilised, to the point where it doesn’t even seem to match the Pop Opera, let alone improve/expand on it. Because all the extra dialogue time had to be spent on reordering the story beats so we ended up losing time with the characters in a way.

I'm In Love With The Villainess [Audiobook] Vol 1 Quick Review

Wanting to support Yuri Audio Books and knowing I had a big move on my hands, I preordered Volume 1 of I'm In Love With The Villainess's Light Novel's Audio Book. So with that I've finally got to experience the Light Novel outside of bits people have posted online over the years or translated bits that were online for free I had read before they were officially published.

I'm In Love With The Villainess is a series that I really have been loving and love a lot in concept, finally diving into the Light Novel I'd say there are some small areas that I like better but typically the manga and light novels see a marked improvement with the benefit of being created after the story was completed, understanding the characters on a deeper level and a fuller understanding of the world.

Rae comes off as a bit more pathetic in this version, like I knew she was a little pathetic but being in her perspective in the light novel makes her seem like kinda a worse person and a more lonely person. I think the manga and anime work to make Rae a little less pathetic by solidifying the friendships between Misha and Lene as well as making the princes feel more like friends to Rae. The light novel itself has Rae single minded in her obsession with Clair willing to have no values, no friends, no life, no dreams, everything for Clair because Clair was her comfort character. I think it is fun how much she hates Rod, I do like the few more insights into the politics of the world and the game you get in Rae's perspective in the light novel but the added details are minor, Rae as a narrator is often simply reserving information she knows from the audience even though they inform her actions which feels odd for a first person narrative but I understand the desire to have more freedom when writing and not wanting to lore dump every 10 seconds.

The commoner movement arc is solid in concept but it being bolstered up by a pair of straight incest siblings to kinda hand wave away some of the complaints as well as an enemy nation makes for weak conclusion to the arc that otherwise was bringing solid political points. I am aware later in the narrative we'll get more but since in this narrative Rae is quick to basically just say whatever she thinks will make Clair happy and is devoted to Clair to the point in which she states she would kill people for Clair that were sort of friends to her it really feels like Rae has no moral base line. It undercuts the intention of the politics when it's hard to get a read on what the tory really wants you to think about them.

The incest itself having a discourse around it is wild to me given it's emulating narratives from Visual Novels and put on characters who in the game would have simply been considered villains. It humanizes them and gives them more because that is clearly one of the points of this Light Novel, like it's on the title, She's In Love With The Villainess. So it only makes sense the story itself was to have an empathetic view on the characters who were written to be a particular way. It's fine, it motivates a pair of characters to do some fucked up things but ultimately that serves the plot well and it isn't like a long easy on why sisters and brothers kissing is cool or whatever.

I do love the conversation about queerness and I do think that Rae being pathetic is part of the point like, that conversation has Rae cast herself as the fool on TV playing up her queerness for our entertainment. I think it adds to the plot, it sets the stage for Misha being an ally [and queer herself], it hints at Lene's own non normative taste, and establishes firmly that Clair is homophobic at the start. Rae is the sad Haley Kyoko listening Lesbian who only falls for straight women maybe because she doesn't love herself so she aims her heart falls for exclusively unavailable women as a form of self punishment.

I feel like a lot could have been done better but it is an interesting enough spring board to where I do believe if I had started with this I would be interested in reading Volume 2 but judging volume 2 a bit more harshly to see if Vol 3, 4 and 5 were worth my time or not.

In terms of the audio book performance this was my first audio book ever so it's kinda hard to say what is good or bad. I think Courtney Shaw does a fine job but she really only is fun with her voice performance when she is voicing Clair. Lene and Rae have clear distinct voices but the men do tend to blend in together which works fine for a story being told from Rae's perspective honestly. It did drive me up the wall to call Lene "lean" rather then how it is pronounced in the anime or how I read it. I do wish the voice for Rae was a bit more dynamic, Rae was very dry, like well preformed certainty but I feel like it could have used a touch more flavor. I do wish that the audio book was sorted into more sub chapters, since the light novel is only 3 chapters for the main meat of the story you have very long blocks of time that represent each chapter and it is much harder to simply go back to a part you wanted to listen to again or anything. Still it was an overall good production and I don't regret picking it up.

Chapter Summary: Our reader off-handedly brings up marriage, or at least eloping, because hey, we’re on the run anyways. She thinks nothing of it, but next thing she knows (or doesn’t know), Six has got Dani and Claire roped into making plans. He never figured himself one to marry, but she’s different — and he wants to do things right, because of all the ways she makes his heart race.

"You can borrow my vinyls as long as you promise not to chew gum down the aisle," Claire replies, rolling her eyes.

"What?"

"She wants to marry you, stupid."

"Look, just find a copse in the middle of nowhere, a nice spot with some trees during sunset, I'll be the flower girl, Dani can officiate it, you can probably find a cake, right?"

"Claire—"

"Six." Claire admonishes, giving him a don't-fuck-this-up look.

And he just sighs, frowning.

"She hates white."

I'm interested in your perspective writing the arthurian legends for pre/early teens! It was a huge obsession of mine at that age (and now lol) and I just encountered the incest etc as part of the story - at that age I just wasn't troubled by it. Your experience sounds a lot like mine where those elements were more impactful as an adult but maybe less so as a kid. Could it just be incorporated passingly/not graphically rather than changed? Its such a strange thing to navigate. Good luck on your writing!

Okay so what I’m doing with mine is relying on two things: uninformed narrator and being a little picky&choosy with what I have in my story.

My narrator is Lancelot as a 15 year old boy fresh out of the Lake World except he’s very unaware of everything as I’m making him more of a modern guy sent to Camelot than a boy raised with fairies determined to Be A Knight. So this gives me some leeway as he’s a bit stupid (said with love) and does not entirely understand all customs/happenings around him so that the kids reading can like learn it along with him.

Then with the picking and choosing, I think it’s nice that there is just So Much Source Material for the Arthurian legends cause it means I can write about the knights doing almost anything and it will have happened at some point. (Hence the joke post I made where I said I gave Hellawes a dragon, cause why not). So I can like stay away from the crazier/unethical events that happen in the main plot of my story (Like Bors and Claire cause I hate that so much). Though not entirely deviating from the legends as a whole. I don’t think I’m going to mention the whole incest thing in this book, maybe in the future, and that is entirely because if I ever publish it I would rather not have my story be classified as something Mature and therefore not be shown to the entire intended age group (Cause people are weird about books).

My ultimate goal is for it to be more of a gateway for kids to read it and get into the official legends, then for it to be a 100% recreation of the stories warts and all. Kind of like how PJO is a kid friendly adaptation of Greek myths (ish) and got a lot of people into Greek and Roman mythology. (I am not in any way saying I am similar to Rick Riordan and his skill as a writer, I’m just a college student typing away at my laptop). I just want people to appreciate Arthur and the Knights the same way I did as a kid (and still do).

On June 21st, 2016 was when Z went on her liking spree of tweets straight up calling Trevor a cheater and liar. Trevor had initially posted an IG story saying that she was missing him, Z had answered indirectly and then the fans caught up, started writing the shady tweets and Z liked them (just to unlike the next day). Z was already in Atlanta when this happened. Just before she went to Atlanta, Z went with her parents to Brazil to do a combined shoot/vacation. Kaz initially went with Z to Atlanta (he went with Z to the Maks and Val Atlanta show June 23) but then left. Trevor released the song at the end of July and that was when Z (and Claire) unfollowed him. Deja went to visit Z to Atlanta in August and they left to LA together. Then Z moved into her new house, officially hired Darnell and moved to NYC in September to train for TGS. She reunited with Tom at the end of September when HOCO did a few days of location shooting in NYC. This is the period when most fans think they started dating due to possible anniversary celebrations in the following years. Tom's mom, grandma and brother Harry also came to visit Tom in NYC in this period and there's a pic of Z and Darnell with Tom's mom and grandma when they went to a Cirque du Soleil show

Also we can't forget that the infamous likes of Z stating that she was not a member of Taylor's Squad happened on July 2016, something that swifties still hate Z for

ROTBTD Tales of Arcadia AU!

With official written permission from @hijacksecrets to play with their AU, I shall now post the concept sketches I've been working on the last few hours.

The original AU features Hiccup as the trollhunter (keepsies! He's the best fit for sure). I'm adding Astrid in the place of Claire and Fishlegs in the place of Toby (book references!), Rapunzel and Varian as Aja and Krel (they've always had sibling energy), Eugene as Varvatos (questionable past, trying to make it up to Rapunzel and Varian), Merida as Douxie with wisp-colored magic, and, my favorite-

Jack as Skrael.

I have the most ideas for Jack's arc. He arrives, at first playing the part of a normal wizard, but in reality a spy for the Arcane Order (the other two members are Pitch, acting as a leader, and some spirit equivalent of Eris, a being of chaos- this gives us the trifecta of sorta the beginning of space and time, dark, cold, and orderless).

After spending some time in Arcadia, Jack realizes he doesn't want to be feared like the others- he hates the way people treat his season, and he wants it to change. It's not who he is and never truly was. So he pleads with MiM to break his connection to the Order.

And Tsar Lunar does it.

Now Jack has 1. unique ice powers, and 2. a direct connection to MiM.

Before anyone starts though- I don't know if this will be a popular choice, but I don't have any intention to really focus on any ships at all, canon or otherwise. I find the story development on a world-building or story-arc basis more compelling in this AU. I don't begrudge anyone any ships they add in, but please don't expect romance to be a focus as far as my development of the AU goes. Romance in ToA has usually been integrated into or secondary to the overarching stories and it feels weird to do it any other way in an AU based on it, is all. I'll talk interpersonal arcs, development, parallels, but I will personally tend to exclude romance from the equation.

following the last post, though we have seen many times that claire basically keeps terrasave running, her position in the organisation has changed throughout the years:

she's kept the spokesperson / second in command position up until sejm and her consequent resignation or break, whatever you want to call it. while i have my doubts that claire would come back knowing that even the organisation she's been in for most of her life is corrupt in some degree, i believe claire's plan was to teach moira the way so that at the next election they would have become the leader / second in command duo
