I personally am not the biggest fan of Dangus, but he's grown on me a little bit the more I watch the 2015 show. I just find him a bit irritating, I guess (it's mostly his voice I think).
Sapphire on the other hand LOVES Dangus. Our fic takes place in the 80's universe (though it's set in modern day), but I can talk to Sapphire about potentially adding him as a cameo. I'm sure he would love to be him lol

Quick question for the munk-dom
If you could take any character at all from any previous series and make them a reoccurring character in a hypothetical new series, who would it be?
My answer is clear. My number 1 choice is definitely Olivia. It'd be great to see her in a modern retelling of the Chipette's backstory
But ALVINNN also has a few I'd consider worthy.
Ms. Corner, Geizmo and Officer Dangus are easily my three favourite ALVINNN originals.
Ms. Croner feels very natural in the Chipmunk-verse in a way that characters like BoCarter don't. She is also really hilarious
Geizmo's arc is like...one of the best things about this show.

I know ppl couldn't care less about the humans in the cgi movies but Zoe and Dr. Rubin were both hilarious characters and the more i rewatch the movies the more i think about that.
#we all know Ian was the best human character simply bc David cross was great on it but i think these two are pretty funny!!#the idea of an adult woman hyping the chipmunks is so adorable and a great way to explain why Alvin nevergot expelled lmao#and zoe was simply hilarious! maybe because i find her out-of-reality personality too appealing#it's such a shame the writers of the cgi movies couldn't write Dave better bc while i don't hate him like other ppl#i do think he is one of the least interesting human characters in all the movies#i don't think it's the actor's fault they just didn't know what to do with his character besides being a strict dad for the chipmunks#but funny enough i do think dave from the cgi series is even more boring despite there are episodes focused on him#i love when he is all affectionate with his sons and the chipettes but he is so bland without that and sometimes way too strict#i still can't believe there is an episode focused on the chipmunks getting scared of Dave knowing they spilled milk#it just shows how many times he has get angry for the most simply things#it doesn't help AT ALL that the show has barely likeable human characters i mean i adore miss smith but i do get why ppl don't like her#miss croner is an amazing contrast to miss miller! but i do think they write her way too aggressive at times#officer dangus is the only character besides miss miller that i find decent without giving a 'but' in the middle#the classmates of the chipmunks.... Yeah we don't talk about them#i would like to go further with the humans characters of the 80's show but i still need to watch a LOT of episodes#but i would say that most of the episodic human characters of the 80's have been pretty nice so far#i loved the old lady that got a date with Alvin!! she was way too sweet with him and i love the way alvin learn his lesson at the end#also it has the best dave so far!! he is a lovely dad and he can be funny on his own way. i can tell he is just doing his best ahaha#aatc#alvin and the chipmunks

20Aug22 | Saturday
After Janmashi there was parna and we kept holiday at office.
Yesterday was a relaxed day...
My one of the friends #murli stuck with dangue and is hospitalised at #zydus. Spent sometime with him and went for screening for blood - plazma donation for him at #Indu blood bank. May god bless him and we wish him the fastest recovery and best of the health ahead. Met Dhairya after long time.
After evening it was a casual day to spent. It's really revitalisation.
Nothing special to share for yesterday. Had some kitley time with friends and dinner...
Yes one thing yesterday Vaishnavi had a good day as she was supposed to do garba at her katthak classes and she loved it.
Yeah yesterday at so many places there were matki fod event organised and many athlete from Mumbai had specially come as that i learnt for crowd nearby...
Yesterday I had a healthy discussion about education, scope, and perception of a younger one in my family... I am concerned why many young smart students are leaving the country for studies and want to migrate...
1. Costly education in india post 12th standard.
2. Scope of getting job or business and with salaries of profits in India is lower than scope available abroad.
3. Compromise happens for stream students who want to select majorly, due to Performance / Results / Reservations...
@pmmodi... Need ur intervention for saving our youth migrating elsewhere...

All in favor of banishing every side character in Alvinnn say I.
Except Miss Croner and Miss Miller. They can stay. And Officer Dangus and Miss Smith I guess, but they’re on thin ice.
...Like I’m fine with the existence of a lot of the characters but the problem is they’re getting so much screentime and they are NOT likable enough for it. I watch the show for the chipmunks, the chipettes, and Dave. I don’t want another episode centering on Kevin and Cheesy. Honestly those two deserve to be dumped as friends since they’re kind of jerks anyway.
And I absolutely loathe Bo Carter and his annoying younger brother. I get that they’re supposed to be terrible, but that doesn’t stop me from cringing whenever they show up in an episode. The song “I’m So Wealthy” drove me insane........ Why would you give the tone deaf demon child a song asdjhfkls;akjsl
