Living Off the Grid Just Got Easier: A Review of the Ultimate OFF-GRID Generator
Tumblr media
For years, I've dreamt of a life less reliant on the traditional grid. The idea of generating my own power, escaping the rising energy costs, and minimizing my environmental impact was incredibly appealing. However, bulky generators and the complexities of alternative energy systems always seemed daunting. That all changed when I discovered the Ultimate OFF-GRID Generator - Top Performer for 2023 Digital - Ebooks.
Unpacking Potential: A Compact Powerhouse
Gone are the days of wrestling with cumbersome generators. The Ultimate OFF-GRID Generator is surprisingly compact and lightweight. Doodles of this separated au lmao
Some info about Todd and Leo!
Todd's actual name is Todd Capello. When H and M left Leo at his door he had just recently graduated college and was working at a nearby zoo :)
After several years he starts his puppy rescue and then that's when things sorta start going downhill, so him and Leo move into the RV full time and live kinda off the grid. He stilworks at the zoo but he's barely makin ends meet :/
As for Leo, he's going to school and even has an after school job :D he was in the chess club, but he doesn't really have time for it these days :/ he's also on the swim team!! Other schools hate this guy cause he's literally a turtle but he's incredibly stubborn and the coach likes him so :) yeah.
He's a v busy high schooler lmao. He also helps with the puppies when he can. He doesn't go to April's hs cause he ended up having to move to a school closer to the woods cause the commute was a little too far :/ they probably met once in like elementary school but other than that haven't crossed paths.
He's got a similar personality to rise Leo, the main difference being that he's nicer. However he's not overly trusting like his dad and tends to be suspicious of new people. He knows Todd won't stand up for himself like EVER so he's got to be the one to do it. He doesn't really have any close friends, but he's alright with that :)
Uhh yeah so that's those guys :)

Not leaving this one behind
Slasher!Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley X F!Reader
summary: Simon moved to America after retiring and had taken up serial killing and stuff and you caught his eye. Simons been realizing some things about himself and he's sure your just what he needs.
warning: murder, gore, smut, pnv, kidnapping, more to be added as i go
Author's notes: so I've not been writing for like ever, but this i just couldn't stop writing. here a little snippet of the set up and what's to come. chapter one is written and ill be revising it tomorrow then it will be posted!
Also happy Halloween for those who care! This is my contribution this season 💜
Full chapter one
prologue
Simon felt a little incomplete. Like his hunt wasn't finished, or it just hadn’t satisfied him enough. Lately he’s been feeling lonely, like killing isn't enough anymore and he's coming to realize that that loneliness is the reason he’s been leaving survivors every once in a while.
He seems to be developing a ‘type’ some would say as well. When he encounters them he likes the thought of them staying alive to remember him, like he will remember them. Their adorable faces when they cried to him and begged for their lives. Hearing their sweet shaky little voices while their bodies shook in his hold. Seeing how devastated they are when he leaves them alive surrounded by the horrors of their dead friends.
This last group was just a bunch of highschool football players drunk and being idiots. Not very inspiring.
The universe must be twisted however.
Here Simon is, on his long drive home from a weekend of hunting and killing only to come across another group at a small dingy rest step. Your group pulled in a few minutes after him while he was filling his tank up and caught his attention the moment he saw a couple dumb guys hopped out of the Rv and two giggling girls followed behind.
Overall the group looked like your usual unimpressive lot. At least that's what he was about to conclude with, until one of the other girls turned back and called out for someone.
“Y/N? What are you waiting for, don't you want some snacks?” She asks.
“Yeah! Sorry, I just wanted to finish this chapter, I'm coming!” Simon's interest then peaked once his eyes were on you. Your knee length skirt swayed around you and you looked cozy in your oversized cardigan. You glanced around a little and in doing so you caught Simon's gaze. He didn't flinch or look away, instead he gave you a short nod. You returned the gesture with a small sweet smile and a little nod of your own before heading after your friends.
He figured you'd wouldn't be as welcoming at the sight of as you were. He had a good amount of height against you and body mass. Half his face being covered by a mask is what really always gets people though. Big and scary described him perfectly.
This was not a group you seemed to fit into based on looks alone he noticed. You just seemed too sweet and nice to hang around a group like this. Or maybe they just looked worse then they all were, maybe Simons had been hunting these kinds of people for so long he was stereotyping them as such a group.
Either way it doesn't matter, it was because of you the outcome had been decided. The moment Simon's eyes landed on you and saw that sweet little smile of yours he knew. He will follow you to whatever cabin or campsite or whatever and make sure to give you a night you’ll never forget.
With his mind made up he quickly checked his duffle bag for a tracker, if you weren’t staying in a cabin and got off grid it would be able to track you no matter what. The way the RV was parked it wasn’t hard to just place it under the front bumper without being noticed, then he was hopping back in his truck. Simon waits for just one more glance of you as you exit the rest stop, snacks and drinks in your arms and a bright adorable smile on your face.
He followed a few miles behind the whole drive and parked his truck five miles out. You ended up going pretty far off the normal map to an almost completely secluded area of the woods. Thing was it was also fall in the northern america and it's not always that populated this time of year so you happen to be the only people camping out this far currently.
Simon couldn't believe how perfect these conditions seemed to have ended up for him. These things after all are always done best in the dead of night, and in these woods? Simon couldn't think of a better hunting ground. Now all he had to do was wait.
~thanks for reading~

I did not want to do this, but... we really need a miracle.
We really need help relocating to WA!
Details are under the cut. This post mentions abuse, briefly touches on alcoholism, and discusses extreme poverty and unsanitary conditions. The short version is we need enough money for a plane ticket to Washington State, and fast.
We need help with our $300 plane ticket, some for food until we sort out foodstamps, & at least $100 to keep our phone on until we can find work.
We've been locked out of our GoFundMe account, and to be truthful I don't see one being very effective, so- our cashapp is $LarkspurWoods & our paypal is @KaiThePotatoChip [long story, don't ask lol]
Anything helps!
Goal progress: $0/600
Our Story
We are currently stuck off-grid in Missouri without a way out.
We moved out here to meet & stay with our dad, who is terminally ill, after being kicked out of our mom's in September. Turns out he's got next to nothing, we're all cramped in a single, disgusting RV [4 of us, not counting our aunt and uncle], and we've lost more than we've gained since being out here.
We were promised before our arrival that we would be able to earn an income out here, & have been unable to aside from just enough to pay our phone bill.
This inability to work has been due largely to all the vehicles our dad's family owns having broken down shortly after our arrival, as well as not having [& not being taught!] many useful skills for this lifestyle.
We don't have reliable internet or a way to seek remote work, either.
We haven't been able to do even basic things like take care of personal hygiene out here. We feel absolutely disgusting. We hate living this way.
We were supposed to get food stamps & our wisdom teeth out, but we can't...
Our father owes us money for the several weeks we have spent splitting wood for him, & has failed to deliver.
There is usually barely enough to eat, as well.
On top of all this, his sister and her husband are ignorant, bigoted, criminally violent alcoholics. They have near-daily instigated arguing and fighting since they arrived a day after we did.
Occasionally there are "good days." On one such day, November 25th, we ended up accidentally having an [attempted civil] discussion about intersex people and advanced biology in which we tried to inform them their worldview was outdated, got shut down, and then mentioned how we felt disrespected- they ended up heated and we walked away from them. they followed us, assaulted us, and their dog bit us 3 times on our ass, left arm, & face.
In addition, we have received multiple thinly veiled death threats when they're upset.
We called the sheriff, and they did nothing.
When our aunt and uncle are sober, they're not as volatile, although still incredibly emotionally abusive, prone to gaslighting, and manipulative.
We do not feel safe here, especially not as they have made it clear they have no intention of leaving anytime soon.
We have several friends and family members in the Oregon-Washington area, as well as a long-distance partner whom we've been dying to see for over a year. Our father promised to assist us with funding a trip to see them and, again, has failed to deliver.
We have been given explicit permission by several people, including our partner's family, that we have a place to stay out there, but we can't afford the plane ticket. after almost 2 months of working, we have only $50 to show for it.
We want desperately to see our partner for the holiday season and to escape our unsafe environment, and it feels like the entire world is against us right now.
We've spent weeks monitoring plane ticket prices, and the lowest is about ~$300 right now counting baggage fees.
We don't even have food money, let alone cash to get any gift for our s/o...
We've talked with a family member & they've offered to help us with getting a job as much as they can, but it's remote, and again we're off grid and don't always have gas to power the generator.
I am BEGGING anyone who has taken the time to read this to help us in some fashion.
We need help with our $300 plane ticket, some for food until we sort out foodstamps, & at least $100 to keep our phone on til we can work.
We can't promise much due to our shitty circumstances, but anything that we can do to assist or return the help we will do- we dabble with art, graphic design, music production, & video editing if people need help. We edit picrews and like making phone wallpapers as well. Just ask, and we'll try our best to do it.
This society has failed us severely. We want to make something more of ourself- we just really need some help.
Thank you to any and all for reading this, and we thank you even more if you decide to help.

SECOND TEA
Warning: kidnapping, child negligence, endangerment, mention of suicide.
SO if you've been following me since 2017/18 you may know about D & B. D is my SIL's sister and B is her son.
LONG STORY SHORT
D fucked Eddie's childhood best friend got pregnant and ended up living with my family for the last 6 months of her pregnancy and the first few months of B's life. More specifically she was living with me in my room.
She IS an anti-vaxx republican who has since gotten worse. When we were living together she would watch Alex Jones religiously and I hated it.
D is just un-fucking-stable as her sister.
After my parents kicked her out following some drama she took her son in an RV snd traveled for a but before coming back and living with her baby daddy.
Fast forward to 2024. B is 6 years old.
D *kidnapped* B with the intention of going to Kansas City and going off grid without telling her baby father who she was previously living with. Like they disappeared for 3 days.
So baby daddy didn't like that - and among other shit D did - he took her to court for full custody of B and he won.
APPARENTLY she hadn't taken B to the fucking doctor in over a year.
Since he's won, D has gone missing. No one knows where the fuck she is.
B is her THIRD child that she has lost custody of. There is so much more drama.
But she had B with her at ALL times. Like he was attached to her.
My heart aches for that kid. I love and adore him so much. Like I see him as MY nephew. He's such a sweetheart. We spent the day together a few month ago and I showed him my favorite color and he tried recreating it from memory.
In 2018 I tried to get my shit together. Was so close to getting a legit job incase she lost custody of him then so I could throw my hat in the ring for custody. That is HOW MUCH I adore this fucking kid.
I feel so bad for him because he's no doubt wondering where his mom is.
And if she does something stupid enough like killing herself that's gonna break him.
THIS SHIT FUCKING SUCKS BRO

Was tagged by @waywardcheshire to answer these 9 questions.
I will try not to write books for answers but be warned i talk too much... okay here goes:
Last Song: Had Radio Company's Keep on Ramblin' on as I had a nap earlier so something from there.
Favourite Colour: (Yes i gave Canadian spelling) Black. I LOVE Black way too much but if you don't consider that or white colours then its a tie between blue and yellow.
Last Movie/TV show: Supernatural of course for tv. Movie i can't remember off the top of my head so I'll give a second last tv show which was Ally McBeal.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Sweet for sure. I'm so addicted to chocolate and sweets its bad. Then Savory.
Relationship Status: Married to my high school sweetheart. We met when I was 15 and he was 16 and been together ever since. 32 years and still going. We are the epitome of boring old married couple and I love it even when he's a cranky asshole!
Last thing I googled: Hair colour photo's because i decided to drastically change my hair. Think long (mid back) thick and blond to a dark chocolate bob. Needed a big change. Needed to not live with it pulled into a bun all the time because I'm too lazy to do anything with it, lol.
Current Obsession: A friend just recommended Tangents with Tyler and Todd podcast on Youtube and I have binged it all. first they talk a lot about their relationship and history then they get into what they call tea time and those eps are HILARIOUS. Basically people writing in their scandalous situations and the boys comment and give their advice. Once I binged that in like 3 days I then went back to watch all their rv trip (right before covid) and am now watching them set up land off grid during covid, lol. They are the sweetest gay couple who married after university and have been together 15 years and they are the cutest most adorable couple. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for something to watch.
and of course SPN ever since i started it during the pandemic. I will forever be grateful to Covid for this particular thing, giving me time to tackle a 15 season show. By the end of the first year i had seen the whole thing three times already and was deep into youtube con videos.
Last book: Although I used to read romance novels and some biographies all the time I haven't read anything except fanfiction in like a year, year and a half. Too obsessed with Wincest to read anything else these days.
Looking forward to: So many things. Looking forward in what sense... entertainment? Well I'm going to watch the He-Man Revolution with two of my kids tomorrow that we have wanted to see. Looking forward to any J2 content from the next convention. Looking forward to finding my muse again and getting back to writing (really want that one to happen but its been gone since a medications change at the end of summer). Oh here's a personal one, looking forward to more snow so my husband and three kids (teens - 20s) go away sledding and i can have the whole house to myself. peace and quiet!!!!!
How's that?

DA lithium battery for Eco Friendly RV
You’re in the right place if needed a much more Eco-friendly RV.
You wouldn’t throw the ice cream in the living room, Nor Key scratching the brand new car. We knows how to take good care of what we concerns. There is no different with our own planet, right? For those adventurers out there who want to preserve nature while enjoying RV life, here are our favorite eco-friendly RV tips.
Your Eco-Friendly RV – Tips & Tricks
Yes, you can indulge your RV wanderlust and go green at the same time. Here’s how:
Reduce on Fossil Fuels
You probably know that RVs are heavy on fuel. This is neither environmentally friendly nor good for the wallet. Since the average diesel RV only gets 8-14 miles per gallon, it’s imperative to maximize fuel efficiency. Try these RV tips to reduce gas:
Go for a smaller vehicle. If you’re in the market for an RV and want to minimize gas consumption, opt for a smaller Class C motorhome, or even a Class B van. The bigger the rig, the more gasoline it consumes.
Stay up-to-date with maintenance. Small tweaks can make a huge difference. For example, keeping your tires properly inflated can improve fuel consumption by up to 3%.
Change to bio–diesel fuel.  Bio-diesel is a renewable, biodegradable fuel made from animal fats, vegetable oils, or recycled restaurant grease. Not currently available at all gas stations. But it’s growing in popularity, and you can use this handy online tool to find alternative gas stations near you.
Press the accelerator lightly. Slow down and enjoy the scenic route. By accelerating less and maintaining a moderate speed, you save fuel. The best speed for an RV is 55 to 60 mph.
Travel light. Only bring travel essentials. Dead weight will slow your RV down and cost you more fuel.
Pro Tip: Switch to lithium RV batteries and reduce hitch weight by up to 70%. The weight of ion lithium RV battery is 1/2 of lead-acid battery with the same capacity.
Charge Your Gadgets With The Power Of The Sun
Most of us use a ton of gadgets every day. Think cell phones, laptops, cameras, and more. Since they all need to be charged, why not reduce energy consumption and use solar energy? After all, solar energy is a completely renewable energy source.
By calculating and armed with solar panels, inverter&controller, most important with our stable and security DA lithium battery pack, You are allowed to charge your gadgets from anywhere. Whether you’re staying in your RV or backpacking in the mountains for the weekend, it never hurts to have solar power at your disposal. Even better, charging your devices with solar power is better for the environment.
Try Your Hand At Dry Camping Or Boondocking
Dry camping and boondocking are some of the best ways to make your RV eco friendly. They are also fun! If you can ditch the connection for a few nights, you’ll be rewarded with open spaces and starry skies, especially for the rednecks out there.
Just because you’re off the grid doesn’t mean you’re necessarily going to be uncomfortable. With high-efficiency household batteries, you can still power essentials like water systems, lighting, and ceiling fans. But not just any battery will do. You need a reliable and energy-efficient power supply to power your weekends.
With our trusty 12V LiFePO4 battery, you can forget about electrical connections and enjoy nature.
Pro Tip: Use the 12V lithium battery (series or parallel connection) to charge and power your lights, fans and pumps, even when you’re in the middle of nowhere. Lithium is the best RV battery ever for boondocking as it is efficient, reliable and environmentally safe.
Switch to Smart, Energy Efficient Lithium Batteries
You can make a huge leap toward Eco friendly RVing with this one small step: switch to lithium RV batteries. Here’s why:
Lithium is toxin-free. While lead-acid batteries may be the cheapest option for an RV, they’re not the greenest. They contain harmful substances, including sulfuric acid and lead. This is why they require maintenance and must be stored properly to prevent spills from contaminating the environment. Lithium batteries are a safer, smarter, environmentally friendly RV alternative. They are non-toxic, non-spillable and recyclable. You can even store them indoors.
Lithium is smart. Lithium batteries are smart batteries because they have a battery management system(BMS) that prevents overcharging (and subsequent damage). They could also access to your phone via Bluetooth. With a few taps, you can see exactly how much energy is left and the statements of every single cell’s healthy.
Lithium is more efficient. Lithium batteries support charge @100% efficiently, while lead-acid batteries charge @85 % efficiently. You can use a smaller and less expensive solar setup to charge lithium than you can charge a similar sized lead-acid battery. Because of their efficiency, lithium battery packs run out of power much less frequently. This is important when you need to use limited power wisely, such as when you’re boondocking!
Quick Tips for Eco Friendly RV Living
Cutting down on fossil fuel use, staying off the grid, harnessing solar power, and switching to smart batteries are all major ways to turn your home-on-the-go into an Eco friendly RV. But here are a few more RV tips to help you go even greener:
Use enzyme-based tank cleaners instead of chemical-based cleaners for your RV toilet.
Switch out basic bulbs and replace them with energy-saving LED lights.
Use reusable, lightweight plates and utensils instead of disposable plastic and polyfoam.
Conserve water by bringing your own water filtration system and using the water around you. Install a water-saving shower head to reduce waste.
Leave no trace! Take everything you brought to the campsite with you when you leave.

The Evolution of RV Trailers Over the Past 5 Years in the U.S. and Europe
In recent years, recreational vehicles (RVs) and travel trailers have seen remarkable growth and transformation, both in the United States and across Europe. Factors such as increasing consumer demand for outdoor experiences, shifting traveler preferences, and advancing technology have all contributed to the evolution of this vibrant industry. Below is an overview of key trends and developments observed over the last five years.
Tumblr media
1. Rising Popularity and Demand
United States
Surge in Domestic Tourism: The U.S. has long been a major market for RVs, but over the past half-decade, there has been a significant increase in first-time RV buyers. Partly fueled by a desire for safer, more flexible travel options—especially after global disruptions in travel—families and retirees have turned to RVs as a way to explore national parks and scenic byways.
Younger Demographics: Previously, the RV market was most associated with retirees seeking a leisurely cross-country lifestyle. Recently, however, Millennials and even Gen Z travelers have embraced the convenience and freedom of RV travel, attracted by remote work possibilities and the growing trend of “van life” or minimalistic living.
Europe
Expanding Market and Higher Demand: Although the market in Europe has historically been smaller than in the U.S., many Europeans now see travel trailers as an affordable and flexible alternative to traditional travel. Campgrounds and road-trip destinations have become increasingly popular from the Mediterranean coasts to the Scandinavian fjords.
Rise of Camper Vans and Compact Models: Due to narrower roads and denser city layouts, European consumers often favor smaller, more maneuverable camper vans and compact travel trailers. This trend has sparked innovation among European RV manufacturers, resulting in lightweight, space-efficient designs that appeal to a wider audience.
2. Technological Advancements and Innovations
Smart Systems and Connectivity
Wi-Fi and Mobile Integration: Modern RVs often come equipped with built-in Wi-Fi routers and advanced mobile connectivity, making it easier for travelers to work remotely or stay connected while on the road.
Smart Control Panels: Many new models feature integrated control panels that allow users to monitor energy consumption, water levels, and temperature settings, all from a smartphone or tablet. This technology enhances convenience and efficiency, appealing to a younger, tech-savvy market.
Sustainable Materials and Eco-Friendly Designs
Tumblr media
Solar Power and Energy Efficiency: Solar panels have become more common on RV rooftops in the U.S. and Europe, reducing reliance on traditional fuel-powered generators. Advances in battery technology also allow RV owners to operate off-grid for longer periods.
Lightweight Construction: To cut down on fuel consumption, manufacturers are adopting lightweight composite materials, ensuring better aerodynamics and improved handling. This focus on eco-conscious designs caters to increasingly environmentally aware consumers on both continents.
3. Shifts in Lifestyle and Use Cases
Work-from-Anywhere Culture
Remote Work Opportunities: As remote work has become more widespread, many professionals are capitalizing on the ability to work from anywhere with a stable internet connection. RV living has thus become a lifestyle choice, allowing people to merge their career with travel and personal freedom.
Digital Nomad Communities: New online communities and social media groups have formed, enabling RV owners to connect and share experiences about road trips, workspaces, and best practices for remote living.
Family and Multi-Generational Travel
Enhanced Amenities: Modern RVs offer amenities like larger refrigerators, microwaves, air conditioning, heating systems, and even washers/dryers in some high-end models. These comforts have broadened their appeal to families and older adults looking to maintain a standard of living while on the move.
Growing Rental Market: The rise of peer-to-peer rental platforms has made it easier for families to test out different RV types without a large upfront investment. This rental model has increased overall awareness and acceptance of the RV lifestyle in both the U.S. and Europe.
4. Market Growth and Economic Impact
U.S. Market Expansion
Record Sales: The last five years have seen record-breaking RV sales in the U.S., with industry reports indicating continuous year-over-year growth. Even pre-owned RVs have become more valuable, reflecting strong consumer demand.
Boost to Local Economies: States and small towns along popular road-trip routes have benefitted from increased tourism spending. Campgrounds, gas stations, and local attractions have all seen an uptick in visitors, contributing to local economic vitality.
European Growth and Infrastructure
Improved Campground Facilities: To accommodate increased travel trailer use, many European countries have invested in upgrading campsites with modern facilities—high-speed Wi-Fi, electric hook-ups, and sanitary stations—all of which have contributed to a more comfortable experience for travelers.
New Manufacturing Hubs: Regions like Germany, France, and the UK have seen a boost in RV manufacturing, from artisanal camper conversions to large-scale production lines. This has led to job creation and new opportunities within the European RV supply chain.
5. Future Outlook
Continued Innovation: Technology will likely continue to drive the RV industry forward, including the potential integration of electric tow vehicles and further improvements in solar and battery systems.
Sustainability Focus: With environmental concerns on the rise, manufacturers in both the U.S. and Europe are exploring ways to reduce the ecological footprint of RV travel, from greener materials to more efficient engine designs.
Growth in Rental and Sharing Models: The popularity of camper-sharing platforms is expected to grow, making RV travel more accessible and attractive to new audiences who might not want to purchase a unit outright.
Conclusion
Over the past five years, RV trailers and travel vehicles have seen remarkable development in both the United States and Europe. Advancements in technology, an ever-expanding demographic of travelers, and evolving lifestyles have contributed to a robust market that shows no sign of slowing down. As manufacturers invest in innovative designs and eco-friendly solutions, and as more travelers embrace the freedom and flexibility of life on the road, it’s clear that the RV sector will remain a defining force in the global travel industry for years to come.
