@stellarfalls : Bree, the LEGEND, has inspired me in a lot of ways but the biggest one was her GIFS... I remember seeing her post of Rohan and Hana's first meeting and that sparked a light in my chest... I wanted oh so badly to make Gifs as good as her... I'm getting there but we all have different styles so it'll never be exact and I know my gifs will be good in their own way 🫶

@birdietrait : Their overall sim style just... idk its so good and loved it when I first saw their posts 🥹

@groovetrys : Her general editing style was a HUGE inspiration for me, I can't quite explain or pinpoint it but I LOVE her editing its sooo aesthetically pleasing

What would happen if Turgon didn't kill Eöl?

First, a note about my opinion on this event: ... Still murder.

Second, the speculation. Turgon listens to Aredhel and doesn't kill Eöl. Long post below cut.

He imprisons him instead, because tbh that's the only other option if he wants any chance to keep his city secret. I imagine it very much like Melkor's imprisonment in Years of the Trees: a long term, then a reevaluation. And just like Melkor, Eöl lies his way out when the term ends. He is probably also watched carefully at first, but he pretends to like Gondolin and behaves, and then he sneaks away planning revenge.

When? We can set the length of his imprisonment very arbitrarily, depending on when do we want Gondolin to fall.

Eöl causes it to fall? But what about Maeglin, you ask me. Ok, so Maeglin is not cursed and somewhat better adjusted. Yes, his mother is dead by his father's hand, but Turgon didn't kill his father, instead he showed him mercy, so it's easier to Maeglin to feel safe and not extremely conflicted around Turgon.

He's still in love with Idril, but he's very Celebrimbor about it. She still doesn't like him too much because he's weird (it's a legit thing to instinctively not like someone and two good characters not vibing along is a situation explored too rarely), but she isn't scared of him and there's mutual respect. I imagine they mostly have separate circles of friends and he's a bit sad and that's it. And he still smiths a lot, and it's very popular in the city, and brave and what not.

I think we still need to have Tuor (because Earendil), so Eöl's imprisonment has to be long. Maybe there's more than one reevaluation.

Maeglin is, of course, sad about Tuor but not willingly envious. He does try to get over it. Mostly he broods. Possibly learns to play a harp. Gets some peace, maybe gets over Idril and they start getting along better and he becomes the cool uncle of Earendil whom the fandom sometimes wants him to be. A friendship like that, with an ex-crush and their family, does happen sometimes.

(I have no idea who builds the tunnel and why. Maybe Maeglin, based on foresight? Maybe Idril? Maybe both and Tuor and some friends.)

So, Eöl runs away via some secret passage or whatever, but before leaving he of course approaches Maeglin and demands Maeglin joins him. Maeglin refuses, is wounded (could be killed, but I want him to die later). So, he is wounded, poisoned and cursed (yes, we still get this). Eöl also curses Turgon (in absentia), the city and probably some other things. He's an expressive guy. And steals back Anguirel from Maeglin.

He leaves. I'd have to check the timeline, but I'd love to have him meet Turin and have a Anguirel vs Anglachel fight. Something about "this is my sword because I made it, give it back" "I got it from Thingol also I have poor impulse control so I'll fight you". Also, those two guys look so similar (goth, sad, quiet...)

Turin ofc survives to suffer, Eöl is wounded (how does Túrin win this? I have no idea. Maybe someone else intervened.) Also, Eol curses Turin because he likes to curse people and Turin could probably use some more bad luck 🤣

Morgoth (who's subscribed to Turin's adventures) learns that Eol came from Gondolin. He knows that Eöl hates him as much as he hates the Noldor (which is: a lot), so he sends Sauron or one of the lesser shapeshifting minions to talk to Eöl under the guise of of "I'm a fellow Silvan elf, the Noldor captured my family in their hidden city, help (+ more or less vague implications of the plan involving a group of Silvan Elves doing violence to said Noldor invaders)" or something like this. Eöl helps very willingly, of course, then realizes that something is off andv this is all too convenient (he is a smart guy regardless of his faults), gets killed, probably in some gruesome way.

Not a redemption, but at least Eol gets to the Halls of Mandos instead of chilling out as a spirit (because he's very aware that in this situation it's either Halls immediately, or getting captured and used for necromancy). And he knows he made a mistake. So that's something, maybe it'll help him learn?

Morgoth attacks the city, Maeglin dies at the same location as in canon, but fighting at the good side. Everything else proceeds as in the canon.

PS: I have a really weird habit of mixing up Aredhel's and Idril's names, but this time I hope I fixed all instances of it.

k strikes me as someone who’s incredibly talented but also quite insecure unfortunately:( he’s the oldest of his members and i heard from a friend that he actually turned down the offer to be &team’s leader (because of smt that happened on i-land? idk i refuse to watch it hahaha). i think he’d thrive with someone that could ground him and quickly pick up on when he’s not feeling well. all of my infj friends are so freaking in tune with my emotions it scares me hahaha. but they also have this way of subtly comforting others. sometimes i don’t realize until wayyy after that they probably noticed i wasn’t doing well. i think for k, he’d love someone like that (especially if they’re younger then he is).

another thing about my infj friends is that, while they’re introverts in the truest sense, they can also be super high energy when they’re with the right people lolol. getting to see that side of someone would be very precious to k, i would imagine. but, at the same time, radiating calm energy would give him room let loose a little as well. he strikes me as someone who wants to be babied so badly but ‘can’t afford to’ fully let loose because of the age and societal expectations that come with that.

i’m 05 so k is definitely a bit older than me, but smt that never fails to impress me is that, eventhough a lot of the members are around my age (or younger) it seems like they don’t feel patronized or ‘scared’ of being around him. age hierarchy is real. (like even if you’re born in january of 2004 and someone else is born in 2003 even if it’s in december, that’s still your elder and you better use honorifics. even if they say it’s okay, other people are like?? why aren’t you using honorifics?? pardon the rant, it’s something i still haven’t gotten used to lolol). So the fact that they feel comfortable enough to speak freely around him says a *lot*. he strikes me as someone who’d be able to give advice and comfort without ‘coming from above’ for a lack of better words. again, i don’t know you ofc, but seeing the asks these past feee days, they weren’t even addressed to me and i felt comforted LOL. i think that paves the way for really strong communication and a healthy relationship. i can see the whole ‘friends to lovers’ trope working super well between you two haha.

omg soft k thoughts i'm so ready 😩 the deathgrip that man has on me...hanna used everything she knew about me to attack me with that jo soft thoughts like it was TOO PERSONAL i'm still not over it...

i can definitely see k being the type that gives so much without asking for anything in return but there's days when he needs extra love and attention and praise :( like just because he's talented doesn't mean stop praising him, he still needs to hear it!

i think he excels more as a bonus leader. without having the pressure of the title he's able to support everyone equally. and imo the oldest shouldnt be the leader bc being the oldest and the leader at the same time is a lot of responsibility for one person, so i'm really glad he's more of a creative leader and a source of stable support for everyone.

i agree with you i think he would love to be with someone who can quietly be in tune with his emotions and make subtle gestures of support for him. the second you ask him if he's okay he'd just say, "huh? yeah i'm fine!" and that mask would be back on, subconsciously hyper aware to not try to burden anyone with how he feels. so someone who could just wordlessly bring him water, praise him/notice things he's improved on, and just hold his hand or hug him tightly...it would mean the world to him :(

Frankenstein + his “monster”

Basic info ; Howdy, I’m 19, strictly looking for 19+ rp partners for a dark or dead dove mxm rp. I’m literate to advanced literate depending, but 2 paragraphs per message at least is fine! I’m more of a quality over quantity rp reply enjoyer- but I do type a lot when I’m really feeling up to it. My favourite thing about rping though is actually talking ooc about the rp, so I’m okay with slower replies as long as you seem enthusiastic about brain storming or even just sending stuff like songs, Pinterest board things etc etc.

So I recently watched poor things, Lisa Frankenstein and have FINALLY started reading the actual Frankenstein book (despite adoring the story for years, I never read it??) - so sufficed to say I have (primarily) science fuelled resurrection on the mind. I ALSO have mutual destruction and abuse plots on the brain- my idea is more classic Frankenstein than the movies I mentioned but yk-

The plot ; Now this is bare bones but, I’m imagining that the power imbalances between these two are constantly shifting and fluctuating, our mad scientist obviously having most of the power to begin with, but the creature definitely having a physical advantage and maybe we could add some other things to make the playing field more balanced. Again I’m a fan of mutual destruction, and it wouldn’t be super mutual if our scientist has all the power all the time ofc. Maybe he’s a quivering coward- or unstable in other ways, has people he cares about that the creature threatens etc. All I know is that these freaks hate/depend on each other SO much the lines blur. If you’ve seen Hannibal — maybe a teeny teeny tiny bit of those vibes.

Things I’m comfortable with ; For this I’m good with non-con and think it could be interesting to write, or at least something not safe nor sane for both characters involved- I tend to write switches that start out as subs but am good with anything really! I’m also good with body horror and gore- the creature could definitely have inhuman/unrealistic durability too. Also violence in general. How much smut (if any) to plot ratio is v flexible, just let me know what you’d prefer!

Things I’m UNcomfortable with ; I do not want the creature to be child like in any way, despite likely not remembering much of his life before death I want him to be fully developed mentally and understand things as any adult would. I’m also not comfortable with scat, watersports and incest. Also really bizarre one but for some reason nipped piercings/torture in general whigs me out of all things.

Extra info ; I’d prefer this to be OCxOC but they can definitely have heavy similarities to Victor and Adam- I have two oc’s in development both fitting each role ! I’m good with any take on each character you have, any kind of oc’s are good to me but I’d prefer them to be at least 25 years old, along with being fucked up freaks ofc. Face claim wise I’d feel uncomfortable using IRL ones, but don’t mind drawn at all! I’m also interested in designs that aren’t typically conventionally attractive pretty boys— I mean they can be pretty if you’d like but I think ykwim.

First of all thank you so much for always being patient and considerate with these asks 😘 I'm with you that past mistakes can help to learn. With the current situation though I side with the nonnie who said that Till would only act differently to avoid consequences. The thought that the participants of his little after concert meat parade might only be over 18 to be on the safe side not because he wouldn't be up to them being younger makes me queasy. And I feel this is not the standard young pretty woman/old rich man relationship for mutual benefit (that would be more Richard's thing). What a mess. It just makes me so sad and angry which is ofc my personal problem and nothing R+ have to concern themselved with. But I feel that this is not a situation where I put someone on a pedestal and am surprised that they don't act according to that. Still this is all in my head so maybe there is hope.

With Richard i sometimes have a feeling his bedpartners are all esthetically similar, but if that's what floats his boat (and i imagine it isn't a secret either, the ladies very likely know of the ones before them), who am i to have an opinion on it.

I do feel some of the bubble around Till has gotten too blurry over the years and he's been indulged too much by 'entourage'...he seems to do better with a Paul-type person around to put their foot down. If the system behind the Row0 never comes back, i won't be sorry. There will also be some older photos and stuff that i see different now, but indeed, more my problem than the band's.

For me that's one of the comforting times about Rammstein, when one member does or says something that puts me off a bit, i focus on one of the others, because they are such different persons, that they rarely have the same vibe at the same time 🌺

first song I listened to was probably stressed out on the radio. I didnt really know them until maybe a week after blurryface was released. My cousin told me that she found this really cool band and showed them to me and I was immediately hooked.

kind of. I didnt really know how music worked until maybe 2020 so I didnt know about albums or singles or anything like that, I would just look up twenty one pilots on youtube and sometimes there would be new stuff, so i guess I remember sitting at the computer noticing there was new music, but i didnt really understand what had happened

probably the skill everyone has when it comes to solving puzzles, or the insane talent. The clique has such insane art skill and shit like that and its just so awesome to see what people have created for this band

Maybe they already tried, maybe it’s just such a clearly bad idea that they should put their foot down, but for whenever reason it’s been decided that it’s not happening.

And the other half of this (ahem Steve) is just kinda stuck with this decision, he can’t convince the other out of the logic that makes this a bad idea, but he also can’t just STOP wanting and loving the other person and refuses to pretend otherwise. So he gets plenty of “stop looking at me like that” “like what?” “Like a love sick fool” “ya about that…” Or is part of a fav trope of mine where the UST partner/ex he’s still in love with tries to set him up with someone else.

And look, Steve isn’t going to pressure Tony, but he sure as hell isn’t going to pretend his feeling aren’t real and still there. Well, you see, their friendship is slightly different than the one she has with Jimin and Taehyung. Yes, she is comfortable with all three of them, they are all super close so leaning against one another isn't something new or weird to them. However, she and jk has always had a special bond, just like Jimin and Taehyung do in the story. They're even more comfortable with each other (compared to her friendship/relationship with Jimin and Taehyung). They all are a different friend to her but ultimately, Jungkook is the closest.

It's hard to say what would happen because we are hypothetically speaking but Jimin and Taehyung are like her older brothers to her and vice versa. Of course, Jungkook still kind of has "the older brother" vibe as well because that's what she used to be to all of them, just like their "little sister" / the baby of the group. Surely, it's weird to see him as her "older brother" considering what's happening between them but I hope you understand what I mean by that.

There surely was a stage in their lives where she wouldn't do anything intimate with jk (whether it's just kissing we are talking about or anything else), the same thing goes for jk. The circumstances just brought them into that situation later but it wasn't an easy decision for both of them (the start of the whole "mutual help").

Sorry this got super long but no, I don't think she would be able to have sex with Jimin and Taehyung. We know they have their wild sides when it comes to sex lifestyle, they wouldn't just hook up with her for many reasons and I guess y/n wouldn't want to either. Obviously, they are both attractive and if they weren't as close, maybe it could've happened before but just the timeline and the way they met, started becoming friends just doesn't add up. Shortly said, it would become too weird and their relationship wouldn't just bounce back as it did with jk.

also, for someone like el who is still figuring out her identity as a person, breaking up with someone at 14 is not the end of the world, especially since the narrative seems to imply that independence is what she needs and where she's headed in the future. in fact, i think she will be the one to point out that mike isn't loving her the way that she wants to be loved and they will mutually break up once mike finds out the truth about the painting. i don't think there's going to be any real bad blood there bc imo el already accepted that mike doesn't make her feel loved in 4x03. she'll be sad about the breakup ofc, but it's not going to be crushing for her and she'll get to focus on building her platonic relationships with hopper, the byers family, lucas & dustin, max when she wakes up, and (hopefully) mike too.

I realize we're talking in the sense of Will simply feeling unworthy and the idea of Mike choosing him alleviating that self doubt. But Will shouldn’t rely on Mike loving him in order to feel worthy of love. Not to say that he shouldn't accept Mike's love, I'm just saying he needs to work on himself as well. (As does Mike! For the same reasons!)

So I'm not in love with the idea that Mike choosing Will gives Will the self worth he needs and therefore that's what makes the most sense narratively. Will shouldn't need Mike. He loves Mike, and that's beautiful. He shouldn't need him, not in a literal sense. It's a flaw just as Mike's need to be needed is a flaw. Both are flaws which are hurting them, and they need to be addressed in ways other than just dating each other. Like. In therapy.

Lastly, as I said, whether Mike is bi or gay, choosing to be with Will is still choosing to be with Will. Which is meaningful. It's very meaningful. I just don't think Will's arc should be relying on that specific sentiment.

Whether it’s movies they used to watch as a kid or building up their plushie / toy collection, they remind me of each other. Not to mention, they both care so much about those they love. The way Hueningkai treats the members (although he can be quite hyper and menacing), is reflective of the way Ryu treats me and others they care for. Perhaps it’s getting a little long but I have strong feelings about this as ofc I’m biased :) Nonetheless !!
