Saga of Solitude 13/21
Nepo!Baby Bradley and his life at USNA and afterwards. DADT fully in force. IceMav AU. (Begun prior to 'It's not who you know' - the non-angsty version). (Side Hangster, which is ALSO angsty).
PROLOGUE (He remembers)
HANGSTER FIRST MEETING (Lonely Nights - set 2009)

ONE (2000) TWO (2001) THREE (2002) FOUR (2003) FIVE (2004) SIX (2005) SEVEN (2006) EIGHT (2007) NINE (2008) TEN (2009) ELEVEN (2010) TWELVE (2011)
CHAPTER THIRTEEN – 2012
They’ve decided to forgo their rings outside of the house. They live in a little pottery dish that Petra made beside a larger one that Tamsin had made several years early, likely in the same class. It’s a new habit, keys go in the large bowl and the ring goes on his finger when he gets home and he remembers Mav sliding it onto his finger during their wedding ceremony every time. And when he leaves the house it works in reverse, he takes the ring off and picks up his keys.
They’d had a quiet courtroom ceremony, just the seven of them. When he’d checked his paperwork to see what needed updating he hadn’t needed to update next of kin, Maverick has been listed there for years alongside Sarah, and nothing there is going to change. He does fill in the forms for change of marital status, and he holds onto them for weeks afterwards, hands shaking at the thought of handing them in and everyone knowing. It takes him a couple more days but then he’s standing in the doorway of his office looking at Aubrey fastidiously working on something, muttering under her breath and she’s been with him for five years now, nearly six, and he knows he can trust her.
“Aubrey… I need to ask you opinion on something.”
“Sir?”
“I have filled these in and should submit them to the administration office. However…” he swallows roughly and hands the forms over to her silently. She accepts them, eyes flicking over them quickly.
“Well sir, I’m a little hurt I wasn’t invited –”
“Ah –”
“I’m joking sir. Now. I don’t know if you’re aware of this, however I came from the administration office and still have the same level of access. I can update the information and file these and no-one else will see it. Unless they go looking of course.”
“Oh. You can do that?”
“Of course sir. Leave them with me. And congratulations.”
“Thank you Aubrey. For everything.”
… … …
He doesn’t know what he expected to change with Ice and Mav getting married. They aren’t suddenly more affectionate with each other, Mav doesn’t move absolutely everything in, although there isn’t much left at his house anyway. He does note the appearance of the rings though, thinks it’s softly sweet that they wear them but the thought then turns sad when he realizes that they still feel like they cannot let the wider world know. That despite everything they’re still keeping it a secret. A part of him understands, to have something so big have to be a very well-guarded secret for over two decades.
The extremes they both went to, to ensure that they weren’t found out. Marriages to women who fortunately knew and supported them and loved them and knowing that now, what his own parents must have known and done make him feel a little better about his own sexuality and journey. Knowing that they would have loved and supported him regardless. That Tamsin and Petra are here in the world because they added a legitimacy to Ice’s marriage, even though he knows both Ice and Sarah wanted kids and figured out the best way that could work for them. He looks at them all, Sarah and Melissa, Ica and Mav, their relationships with each other well over two decades and he doesn’t know the nitty-gritty of how they got together. Definitely isn’t going to ask, Mav tends toward over sharing and there are things he doesn’t need demystified.
That said he does wonder how he’s going to maybe manage a relationship. If he even wants one. He didn’t before. Had very firmly put it away as something he couldn’t have, not alongside having the career he has wanted for as long as he can remember. But now… fucking Seresin putting the idea in his head has got him thinking and maybe it’s something he could try. If he could find a guy to try it with. He doesn’t want it to be someone who is also in the service, that seems like a recipe for trouble. There are dating apps and clubs but he already uses those to hook up, case in point, Jake Seresin.
He does have people he can ask though; Chris and Pat. Nat’s cousin and his husband. They’re his age, well, a little older but not as old as Mav and Ice. More importantly they’re not in the military and probably know guys who are looking for… not just sex. Dating. He remembers them sending guys over and everything he learnt and now fondly remembers. Despite Christopher being Nat’s cousin he does count them as friends and so he finds himself reaching out, asking if he could maybe come and visit.
Of course there’s an open invitation and he finds himself there mid-week, not really wanting to give up his weekend time with Tamsin and Petra, even as they have busier social lives he still tries to shoehorn as much time with them as they’ll let him. He knocks on the door to Christopher and Patrick’s apartment, a different one from over eight years ago, but he has been here before a couple of years ago when he visited with Natasha.
“Bradley! Look at you. While I might not be a fan of the military I cannot argue with the output …”
Bradley grins, well used to Christopher’s flirty banter now after years of it, accepts the hug and kiss to the cheek and toes off his shoes and places them on the rack.
“Hey Christopher, nice to see you too. Thanks again for letting me come and stay.”
“You’re always welcome, you know that. Come on in, make yourself at home. You know where everything is right?”
“Yeah, assuming you haven’t done any major home renovations.”
“No, we have not. You want a drink?”
“Yeah, coffee would be good, but only if you’re making one yourself.”
“I’m making myself a cocktail. Want one of those instead?”
“Sure. Why not?” Bradley decides, because this conversation will probably go easier with a slightly looser tongue. He drops his bag in the guest room and heads back to the kitchen to find Christopher making coffee but also pouring vodka into a cocktail shaker along with a healthy amount of ice cubes.
“Alcohol and caffeine. So we can make bad decisions wide awake!”
“Well, I was actually after some life advice but sure, let’s start with bad decisions.”
“Life advice? From moi?”
“Yeah, you and Patrick. You two have your shit together.”
Christopher’s gaze goes sharp.
“Oh honey, I thought you were here for a booty call…”
“And you still let me invite myself?” Bradley asks, half-joking but also a little horrified that Christopher would think him that rude. Although coming to visit just so he can ask advice probably isn’t the best look either.
“I’m sorry, have you seen yourself. I’m married, not dead. And I didn’t mean a booty call with me and Patrick…”
Bradley startles a little, feels the heat in his cheeks, hot and immediate because he let himself be startled; caught off guard. Because he had imagined that when he was younger, the idea of somehow being with both of them. However he’d never pursued it or shown any interest, because he’s good at hiding all that, he hasn’t managed a decade in the Navy under DADT by having his every want and desire clearly on display in his face and body. It’s not really happened before. He might need to unlearn some things.
“I was joking but… interesting.”
He tries to ignore his embarrassment as Christopher makes the cocktails, his gaze flicking back to Bradley every so often. Then he’s sliding over a glass filled with a dark concoction that does indeed smell very strongly of both coffee and alcohol. He takes a sip and coughs.
“Shit that’s strong…”
“Hmm. Bottoms up!” Christopher says, eyes wicked and Bradley coughs again, shooting Christopher a look because yes, he did get the fucking innuendo.
“Babe! I’m home!”
“In the kitchen!”
He watches as Patrick gives Christopher a kiss hello and he’s struck with a sudden memory of his parents, bright laughter and easy affection. Huh.
“Hey Bradley, nice to see you again…” Patrick says, reaching out to shake his hand and Bradley accepts the handshake, ignores Christopher’s eyeroll.
“Hey Patrick, nice to see you too.”
… … …
He’s not sure quite how it happens, other than apparently couples seem to be able to hold entire conversations silently with their eyes. He lies there, feeling wrung out but a growing sense of unease growing in his gut that he’s just slept with a married couple. His first threesome and god, Natasha can never know.
“Well I sure as hell won’t be telling her,” Christopher says, and Bradley realizes he must have said something out loud.
“You’re over thinking this. You’re not going to ruin our marriage by being in our bed.”
“We’ve done this before,” Christopher adds and Patrick groans and Bradley bites his lip in amusement, because they’re still them, even here. Even if he’s becoming increasingly aware of his nakedness and feeling less comfortable himself. He hasn’t unpacked, maybe he should just get up and leave. He shifts but Patrick is there, hand pressing him back down.
“Uh uh uh… you aren’t running away. No sneaking out. There isn’t anything to be ashamed of. You came here to talk, and now we’ll talk. And we’ll all put some clothes on. Go have a shower in the guest bathroom and we can sit on the sofa and hear your troubles…”
Bradley wonders if making a quip about not minding either of them without their clothes on would be in appropriate or not and decides to keep his mouth shut. Clothes will help.
… … …
“So… help us understand what you want.”
“I don’t know what I want, that’s a whole part of the problem.”
“Well, what do you not want?” Patrick asks and Bradley scrubs at his face.
“I’m kind of over meaningless hookups.”
“Oops?” Christopher offers and he and Patrick both snort.
“So you want a relationship,” Patrick states and Bradley pulls a face.
“I guess?”
“Wow, ringing endorsement for relationships everywhere.”
“Christopher stop being so bitchy, it isn’t helping.”
“I… under don’t ask don’t tell I knew I couldn’t pursue a relationship. Not and have a career in the Navy.”
“So you’ve never…”
“I’ve never even gone on a date,” Bradley offers. “I don’t know if I’d be any good in a relationship. It seems like hard work.”
“And you’re definitely a stranger to hard work, what with going through the academy and then flight school being so easy and all.”
“Still bitchy, but he has a point. If you care about it, you put in the work.”
Bradley groans, because the advice is reminiscent of what Ice had said.
“Another silver lining from having sex with you, gives us a better idea of what you might like. Make sure you’d at least be sexually compatible.”
Bradley shrugs, because he’s never put that much thought into it, other than always wanting to ensure the other person wanted to be there and enjoyed themselves.
“You ever thought about entering the scene?”
“The scene?”
“Oh honey…”
That devolves into a whole other conversation and Bradley feels overwhelmed with information, glad that Patrick stops Christopher from going and getting their toys. Instead Patrick says he’ll send him some websites to read through, once he’s had time to process and consider it. He can’t imagine doing anything like that with someone he doesn’t already know really well, but there is also a definite interest in exploring and learning about it all.
He ends up talking about Jake, although he doesn’t mention his name. Just that the three nights and two days with Jake are pretty much the closest thing he’s ever had to dates, if they can even be called dates when it was simply filling time between rounds of sex. Annoyingly both Patrick and Christopher seem skeptical, like he should maybe consider pursuing something there and he shakes his head, insists he doesn’t want someone also in the service. Doesn’t mention how badly he feels that he’s likely burnt any and every bridge back to Jake. He’s not an option.
“You want training wheels.”
“What?”
“Like a trial run. A relationship with training wheels. Someone to practice with that lets you try it out but not something too serious. A guy that’s low maintenance.”
“That rules out over half your single friends,” Patrick says dryly. “They’re single for good reasons…” he says to Bradley, making his eyes wide to drive the point home and Bradley’s glad that he’s there. He’s calmer and more sensible than Christopher. Between them though he’s hoping they might have someone.
“What about Mike?”
“Bradley sees enough warzones, let’s save him from that one…”
“Fine. Andrew?”
“Andy or Drew?”
“Andy. Drew is back together with his ex. Again.”
“Ugh. Andy would be okay I guess. Maybe too much drama though? Drew would have been better.”
Bradley feels like he very much does not need to be here for the conversation they’re having. They go through several more names, one or both of them shaking their heads and he’s glad they’re being so picky and discerning on his behalf, but he is becoming more and more terrified of ever entering the dating scene on his own. It sounds like a minefield.
“What about Callum?”
“Oh. Hmm. Not a bad idea. And he’s actually local to you, having just moved there… he’d probably appreciate the introduction as well. He’s… yeah. Actually that might be the best one.”
“He’s a bit of a workaholic, which is why he’s single. But…”
“I’m not around for months at a time…”
“Yeah. Worth a shot right? At least a date or two?”
“Yeah, got nothing to lose right?”
“Just your first date virginity!”
“Yeah, okay, thanks for that Christopher…”
… … …
Neither he nor Ice are prepared for the arrival of the boyfriends.
Plural.
He doesn’t know if Tamsin and Bradley colluded to deal out the trauma simultaneously but it throws him and Ice both into an emotional tailspin. He knows Bradley is twenty-nine, likely has plenty of sexual experience given his little fieldtrips to New York and San Fransisco that he probably thinks he and Ice are blissfully ignorant of. Hell. He was young once. Tamsin though? She’s only fifteen no matter how much she argues that she’s turning sixteen soon.
Tamsin’s boyfriend is a sixteen-year-old kid that neither he nor Ice like, although Bradley tells them they’re being too harsh. Pete knows what he was like as a teenager, and what Bradley was like, and quite frankly he’s glad that both his daughters know how to defend themselves, even if Petra tends to the slightly more violent side of things.
Pete isn’t quite sure what to make of Bradley’s boyfriend. He’s nice enough, clearly cares for him, but also doesn’t seem to have the deep-rooted desire or passion that he’d hoped Bradley would find. It’s fine, it’s Bradley’s first boyfriend and Callum is smart and attentive but also doesn’t seem to get Bradley. Their interactions are friendly and easy, but that’s it he realizes. They act more like friends than anything else, careful distance always maintained and he wonders if Bradley is simply not into public displays of affection.
Then he watches more, sees how Bradley hugs both him and Ice, how he’s hugging Tamsin and Petra, pressing kisses to the tops of their heads when he can get away with it. He reminds Pete so much of Goose in those moments and he wonders what is stopping him showing the same with Callum. Callum who Bradley won’t even invite to the house for family dinner. They go out to restaurants, although he does know that Callum stays over at Bradley’s place, and he won’t be making that mistake again in a hurry. Or ever again if he can help it.
Fortunately, Petra seems to think that boys are disgusting, Pete hopes that she never changes her mind.

Mature, Hurt/Comfort, Mutual Pining, Social Gatherings
The ICA is hosting one of their traditional social gatherings in their headquarters in London. They say it's to keep spirits and morale high, but everyone knows it's an opportunity for uncovering their employees' weak spots and pressure points, and a welcomed accelerator for office gossip. For the first time since he started working for the ICA, Agent 47 has promised not to ignore the invitation. It's not his fault that he's running late, but he's worried to disappoint Diana Burnwood nonetheless.

Lucas Grey: All Dialogues; Part 1
I guess this is one of the biggest projects I have ever done 😁 I wasn't in a good mood recently because my mental health is kinda low at the moment due to some difficulties in my private life. So I needed a distraction and I thought it might be fun to find every dialogue in all Hitman WOA games done by Grey or about Grey- no matter if directly or indirectly.
So I collected everything I could find for the first game, which was not that hard, since in Sapienza, Marrakesh and Bangkok no one talks about Grey (at least I couldn't find any dialogue referring to him). Colorado was more, of course, since the mercenaries talk a lot about him.
It was a lot of fun collecting all these dialogues 🥹 Some of them I have actually never heard before and they give a nice insight of his personality (and how he behaves as a leader).
If you have any more dialogues in mind, feel free to DM me! I already collected some for part 2 and 3, but I am open for help finding more!
And now, have fun with part 1 🫶
Please note: I wrote down the dialogues from the scenes myself using the subtitles, but it was often hard to follow, so please excuse any mistakes.
Prologue
Cutscene: Call me 47
Grey: You were always the best. Nobody ever came close. You defined the art, and it defines you. Your actions have changed the world. Powerful men have fallen by your hand but by the same token, others have risen. Do you realise what kind of world you've been shaping? Does the ICA? Does your handler? I live in that world. I have seen the consequences. I have felt the cost. That's what defines me.
Paris
Novikov to Philip von Zell
Von Zell: Well it’s confirmed, Sir. The FSB charges against you have all been dropped. No one is mentioning Kamarov’s unfortunate death or his alleged ties to the CIA of course.
Novikov: Good, good. That’s the end of that then. I knew our nameless friend would come through. Very good.
Bodyguard: No, I still don’t like it. This… this worries me. I mean, who is this guy? What kind of man enters a heavily guarded government building, kills an FSB section chief and sets him up as a US spy without even breaking a sweat? Where’d you find this guy anyway?
Novikov: See that’s the thing. He found me. He knew the FSB were investigating my past and he knew about IAGO using models as trojan horses. Everything. Guy like that. Let’s just say you let him do most of the talking.
Von Zell: Still… the whole dossier? Some price for a day’s work.
Novikov: Well I’ll be damned Philip. You and Dalia actually agree on something.
Novikov to his bodyguard
Novikov: I’m going to ask you something, Kurt. Then I want you to answer me honestly, completely honestly.
Kurt: Uh, yes Sir, of course.
Novikov: Do you believe Dalia plans to double cross me? She’s furious that I gave the assassin access to our secrets.
(…)
Novikov to Dalia Margolis
Dalia: Well, this is cozy.
Novikov: Save it, Dalia. It’s simple procedure. We’ll be out of here as soon as the threat is neutralized.
Dalia: Well, let’s just cross our fingers that the half dozen power players, billionaires and borderline supervillains upstairs are still in a spending mood by then.
Novikov: Can we do this at home?
Dalia: Fine. So, what’s this about anyway?
Novikov: You guess is as good as mine.
Dalia: It wouldn’t have anything to do with the dead-eyed mercenary you hired to murder an FSB section chief now would it?
Novikov: Are you going to bring this up in every fight from now on?
Dalia: Until you do something dumber.
(…)
Novikov to Decker
Novikov: Mr. Decker. How are things at the office?
Decker: That’s ´91 all over again. Kamarov is found dead, gun in hand, office locked from the inside. In his safe, evidence that he was leaking state secrets to Langley. An FSB section chief, Kremlin’s golden boy, a CIA spy. Like I don’t know who you hired to pull this off, but I want his number.
Novikov: Trust me. You don’t.
(…)
Dalia to Sophus Fatalé
Fatalé: So, uh, are you going to tell me about what Viktor did?
Dahlia: Viktor… had a lot of skeletons in his mahagony walk-in closet and sometimes the lock won’t hold. A young ambitious FSB section chief was mounting a case against Viktor for past crimes. He got close. Too close. So Viktor, failing for once to bribe or threaten his way out of trouble made a deal with an assassin. Someone with impossible skills. The price? A copy of the IAGO dossier. Everything we have ever collected. No questions asked. And did Viktor bother to tell me about it? No. He did not.
Fatalé: The clients are in there. Are you saying they’re bidding on used goods?
Dahlia: Viktor is certain this mystery man was looking for something very specific. He won’t be bribing people left and right. Still, it’s the principle.
(…)
Cutscene: The secrets of the global elite
Novikov: How was Moskow?
Grey: Kamarov is gone. I set him up as a Langley spy. It's quite the scandal at the FSB. His death will not be investigated. Your turn.
Novikov: Very well. The secrets of the global elite. Five years of work. Everything we've collected. This thing makes WikiLeaks look like a gossip rag. The pen beats the sword, huh?
Grey: I have found that whoever wields the swords decides who holds the pen. Types: File secure. No loose ends. Leak the names. Smile Viktor. Your reputation is safe. Now, run along. I'm sure you have pretty dresses to attend to. Viktor? Good luck with the show. I have a feeling, it's going the one you'll be remembered for.
Cutscene: The key
Hajun: Ether security is in the dark about the incident, and a few at the company knew about the virus, not even the board. Must have been someone at the lab. I understand. I'll get to the bottom of this.
Grey: Bosses unhappy? I followed you from italy. I guess when you're invisible, you stop looking over your shoulder.
Hajun: You did this?
Grey: IAGO exposed you, ICA did the heavy lifting. I just pulled some strings.
Hajun: You out of your mind? How do you expect...
Grey: I play dirty. That's how you defeat a stronger opponent. You strike from behind. Now give me the key.
Hajun: You have a family? Trust me. If there's a weakness, Providence will find it.
Grey: I'll take my chances. The key.
Hajun: Fine. Won't do you much good.
Grey: It's funny. Cobb said the same thing. Thank you, messenger.
Hajun: Don't. I just killed you.
Grey: Then we're even.
Cutscene: Providence is under attack
Fanin: Compromised? But... I don't understand. There is no sign of forced entry. No alarm. Nothing.
Edwards: One of my people has gone missing in Johannesburg. A key-bearer.
Fanin: I wish I had been informed. Still, the system demands two keys. And the rest are all accounted for.
Edwards: Except for your late predecessor's.
Fanin: Cobb? But... his plane went down over the Pacific. It was an accident.
Edwards: Such was the conclusion at the time, yes. People die, Mr. Fanin. It happens all the time, even to us. If it seems like a conspiracy, it probably isn't. And yet. The failed coup in Morocco. The Ether virus. Someone knows about us. There was a pattern and I failed to see it. Providence is under attack.
Fanin: How much was there?
Edwards: Money? Not money, Mr. Fanin. Information. On all of our assets and operatives. Like you. Dig a trench, director. And make it a deep one. Because none of you are safe anymore.
Colorado
Guards talking
Guard 1: I was providing Berg. He didn’t have a clue either. So who the hell is this guy?
Guard 2: Concerned citizen with a chip on his shoulder?
Guard 1: With skills like that? Come on man.
Guard 2: The boss keeps his past close to his chest. Apart from Olivia Hall, the head of the cyber unit, I don’t think anyone knows who he was before. Including Sean Rose.
Guard 1: Suppose we’re all thinking the same thing. He was one of them, right? How else could he know so much about the enemy?
Guard 2: Only thing that makes sense.
Guard 1: Wonder what they did to him. I mean, we’ve all felt the rage one time or another. The boss didn’t start this out of charity, the hate runs deep.
Guard 2: We all have our reasons mate. Don’t need to know his.
Guard 1: Yeah, what’s your reason?
Guard 2: I do what I’m paid to. Made my peace for that a long time ago. Sill. Pick the right side whenever I can afford to. Righteous money just wrestles out in your pocket.
Guard 1: I hear ya.
Guard 1: So, the boss hires this former Interpol agent to do strategic analysis for us? That’s pretty smooth. If she can be trusted of course.
Guard 2: Bit of a strange one. Not strange like Rose mind you but kind of uh… aloof. I heard from the technicians that she’s a Cambridge graduate, top of her class, thing like that you know. Joining interpol a few years after.
Guard 1: Did you know that her main focus was tracking Rose? I mean how poetic is that?
Guard 2: I don’t know about poetry but it sure is a twisted move by the boss.
Guard 1: Then again, she was supposed to be the best and the boss only hires the best. I guess we’ll see if she can handle things on this side of the fence.
Guard 2: If not, I’m sure Rose has some elaborate retirement plan ready for her.
Guard 1: So, you got your ex-military, your mercenaries, I saw a couple of CICADA guys arrived earlier. Then, there’s freedom fighters, intelligence specialists, cyber criminals, you name it. Half of these people probably fought each other at some point.
Guard 2: Oh man, that’s not even counting the really freaky ones. Left-wing terrorists like Sean Rose, corporate whatevers like Crest. It’s like the united nations of assholes.
Guard 1: And what the hell is an anarcho-primitivist?
Guard 2: You got me and I don’t want to know.
Guard 1: This is a powder keg. How does the boss even hope to unite these freaks?
Guard 2: By the way he always does. Take them all, point them on a common foe.
Guard 1: That simple huh?
Guard 2: I mean armies are easy enough to deal with when the bullets are flying. It’s all the shit that comes after that you gotta worry about. Peace time when soldier get bored, start getting ideas. That’s when shit get’s dangerous.
Guard 1: Okay, Sun Tzu. Let’s cross that bridge when we get to it.
Guard 1: Rose put you on the Mexico team?
Guard 2: Reykjavik. Security for Olivia Hall on the Hampson Oil operation.
Guard 1: She’s the boss´s protégé, right?
Guard 2: She leads the cyber division. She’s only 24, but apparently some kind of prodigy. She used to operate under the hacker name Delriego. Took down some major corporations while she was in college.
Guard 1: Where’s she from anyway?
Guard 2: Sierra Leone. She met the boss during the war. That’s about all anyone knows about his past. That he was in Sierra Leone around 2002.
Guard 1: Better than nothing.
Guard 2: Save it. Already tried. There’s no record of him anywhere.
Guard 1: I bet she knows. Someone should get her drunk. Maybe she gets chatty.
Guard 2: Bad idea mate. Hall could enter your bank accounts from her smartphone. Those millennials have scary powers.
Guard 1: The boss? Nah, he fades in and out of here. Never spends long in one place.
Guard 2: Yeah I think I saw him earlier, heading into the tornado shelter. Wonder what goes on in that place.
Guard 1: It’s where the inner circle does their planning. The boss, Sean Rose, Olivia Hall and that accountant. Probably where they keep the files from the New York vault.
Guard 2: No one else been down there?
Guard 1: There’s a biometric lock. Facial recognition thingamajig. Only the boss, Hall and Rose have access.
Guard 2: Getting pretty hierarchical however the fuck you say that for a brotherhood.
Guard 1: A standard precaution. If anyone in the field gets caught, the less they know the better. Don’t get entitled. We all have a part to play.
Guard 2: I know, I just have a thing with closed doors.
Guard 1: Sean Rose, in charge of operations. I don’t get it. Why’d the boss pick him? Why not Reynard?
Guard 2: The way I see it, Reynard’s a lone wolf. Berg’s too specialized; I mean he’s no strategist. Parvati is, well, Parvati’s Parvati. I think Rose wants to lead, fiercely dedicated, completely ruthless. Did you ever hear his plan to take out Simon Deveraux? The CEO of Biosphere.
Guard 1: I know he’s building a bomb.
Guard 2: Right, right. So Deveraux is, he’s like exactly like Thomas Cross. Totally impossible to get near. But, also a tech geek, and he just ordered this new Link 4 smartwatch. So Rose, crazy bastard, gets the idea to turn the battery unit for a Link 4 into, get this, a bomb, and then swap the watches in delivery. One push of the button. Bye-bye, Deveraux.
Guard 2: That’s pretty extreme. Enemy operative I know, but it just seems so unsportsmanlike.
Guard 1: Yes, and there you have it. Right on the nose. And again, that’s why Rose is the head of operations. To him, the end justifies the means. And I mean there is nothing that dead-eyed psychopath would not do.
Guard 1: Rose? Nasty little prick, if you ask me. Sure, it’s not his fault that he grew up in that crazy collective farm out in the outback. What were they called? Sons of Solidarity? No, they are a bunch of left-wing cultists. But still, some of that stuff he’s done makes my skin crawl. The oil rig I get, but that government office in Auckland? Man, kids died.
Guard 2: Boss seems to trust him.
Guard 1: Yeah of course he does. Rose is the perfect acolyte. He’s smart, he’s ruthless, but like all fanatics, he’s impressionable.
Guard 2: Yeah, he’s an idealist, that’s for sure.
Guard 1: Nah, nah. I’ve met his kind before. Rose yearns for a cause, sure. But any cause will do. Because deep down, the only thing he’s really looking for is justification to blow people up.
Guard 2: Yeah well, guess this time he found one.
Guard 1: Don’t get me wrong. Sean Rose was born for this. The enemy doesn’t expect him. Their cruelty, it’s too, uh… it’s too remote. You know, you sign a document; thousands of people die half a world away. It’s unreal, like drone operators. But Rose and the boss? The enemy doesn’t know how to react. The savagery. That’s how we will win.
Guard 2: Bring a gun to a knife fight, huh?
Guard 1: More like bring an axe to a chess game.
Sean Rose to Penelope Graves, first conversation
Rose: Ah, Penelope Graves. My very own nemesis. Welcome to HQ.
Graves: Sean Rose. You’re a tough man to find.
Rose: Please. You are Interpol’s best counter-terrorist analyst. You should have tracked me down months ago. No. You didn’t want to catch me. But what happened, Graves? Sympathy for the devil?
Graves: Something like that. Is that why the boss chose me, I wonder? Because of our conflicting past.
Rose: You’re the analyst. But this whole enemy’s united thing? I think he finds poetic. He’s funny like that. Great man though. Not what the world wants, perhaps. But sure as hell what it needs. Anyway. Get yourself up to speed.
(…)
Sean Rose to Penelope Graves, second conversation
Rose: I see you’re studying the boss’s accomplishments.
Graves: Impressive to say the least. Kamarovs suicide was like a work of art.
Rose: Funny to hear you talk like that. You, a straight shooter. A woman of the law. Tell me, Gaves, when did you decide to switch sides?
Graves: I used to think you were a monster. That building in Auckland. And then I met the boss and he… well, you know his ways. He lets you peek behind the curtain and once you know the truth, it changes your perception.
(…)
Sean Rose to Penelope Graves, third conversation
Rose: I know that look. Somethings rubbing you the wrong way.
Graves: Doesn’t add up. So the boss raids the archive in New York. He now has a list of all the enemies operatives. He goes after Thomas Cross first. He needs funding for all of this and Cross is filthy rich. It all makes perfect sense.
Rose: Except?
Graves: Except, he must have known the ICA would figure out the truth once Thomas Cross was grabbed at his sons funeral. It’s almost as if…
Rose: As if the boss wanted them to. Yeah, I know.
Graves: Maybe he made a mistake.
Rose: You really believe that?
Graves: If I did, I wouldn’t be here.
Rose: The boss doesn’t make mistakes, Graves. I have to believe that. This is the most important thing you and I will ever do. The enemy had no mandate, they have no claim. They have no vision. Their only agenda is to maintain the status quo. Our only agenda is to destroy it. So quit worrying and get up to speed on the upcoming operations. Mexico, London, Shanghai.
(…)
Sean Rose on the phone with Grey, first conversation
Rose: Boss. You’re still at the shelter I presume? Quick update. There was a minor setback at the barn. Burgess was hit by the simulated ram. No worries. If he’s not up to par, I’ll find a replacement. This is my operation, my strike team and they will be ready. You can count on that. I won’t let you down. Okay. Means a lot, boss.
Sean Rose on the phone with Grey, second conversation
Rose: Boss. Yeah, so Berg’s at work on our friend. Some kind of interrogation drug. Sodium Pentathol, I think. He won’t. Berg knows his trade. Even if the heralds don’t know jack about upper levels, this one is secretary Torres’ liaison and he might know about the motorcade route. I figured it’d be worth a shot. Sure. As soon as.
Penelope Graves
Graves: It’s actually quite brilliant in all it’s improvised glory. Cobb, the bank director whose plane crashed. The boss killed him for the vault key. How did he knew Cobb was even an enemy operative? Question for later. So, the spy ring. Infamous IAGO. The boss somehow gets access to their dossier of secrets and this is how he learns about the enemies projects in Italy and Morocco. But why kill the IAGO leaders? Novikov and Margolis were unaffiliated. The Russian must have seen the boss´s face. And the enemy has to have known about IAGO. I probably even used their services from time to time. It was a precaution. Nothing more.
Penelope Graves, Part 2
Graves: Eugene Cobbs plane crash. Spectacular. Flawless in its execution. Clearly the boss is more than capable. But it makes me wonder why involve the ICA at all? Think Graves. This is the age of global surveillance. Anonymity is key, you know this. Why stick your neck out when you can get assassins to do your dirty work? And even have some rich asshole pick up the tab. So the boss orders the hits in Sapienza and Marrakesh. The enemy loses two operatives and he never lifts a finger. But wait, that’s not even the main objective. So what is? Of course, the enemies messengers. The ones we call heralds. The boss knows they will show up at the crime scenes, now all he’s got to do is watch and wait for the second vault key to fall into his lap.
Penelope Graves, Part 3
Graves: Hm, possible weakness there. Rose won’t listen. I need to take this straight to the boss.
Penelope Graves talks to Ezra Berg
Berg: Penelope it’s Berg.
Graves: Dr. Berg. I didn’t recognise you in your... work clothes.
Berg: No that’s the idea. So, I take it you finally met Rose. Way I hear it you were on the Interpols task force to hunt him down. So what’s the verdict?
Graves: Sean is dedicated, creative, driven.
Berg: You don’t have to sugarcoat it. The man’s an extremist. You’ve seen the Shanghai plan. Kidnapping children, forcing an innocent man to commit murder. It’s distasteful. Rose has no honour, no sense of fair play. The boss asked me here because he wanted to avoid unnecessary cruelty. So why does he tolerate Sean Rose?
Graves: Because the boss is not a monster and right now, well, he needs one.

Cutscene: The hidden hand
Diana: The plot thickens.
47: Someone left in a hurry.
Diana: Sean Rose was not the Shadow Client. That much is clear. Whoever commands the milita, they got out just in time. Look around 47. We're getting closer.
(...)
47: Someone's done their homework.
Diana: Look how far it dates back. Hayamoto. Beldingford. D'Alvade. The shadow client has been tracking you for decades.
47: Now how is that possible?
Diana: It isn't. Every one of those missions were branded as unsolved or accidents. He must have been looking for a pattern. A certain MO. Which would mean...
47: He knows me.
Diana: Well. At least this shortens the list.
(...)
Cutscene: Old friends
Grey: Rose is gone.
Olivia: It was me, wasn't it? They tracked me. I don't believe it. I took every precaution.
Grey: Rose knew the risks. They all do. You did well Olivia, I am proud of you. Now listen. The ICA knows about you. They kept you alive because they needed you and now they don't. We won't talk again. Not until the storm is over.
Olivia: I don't like it. This man, you know what he's capable of. You need to end this now!
Grey: I ran away as a boy. My friend and I. Away from that... place. We came upon a small farming community, the people were dirtpoor but this woman, she took us in. We were awakened the next morning by the shots. A dozen people lay face down in the snow. Our warden... didn't like to leave witnesses. They shot the woman and her family last and made sure that we watched the whole thing. "This is your gift" the warden told us. "Your gift and your curse. Touching lives only by ending them".
Olivia: You know him
Grey: Better than anyone.
Hokkaido
Yuki Yamazaki to the Director
Director: Miss Yamazaki. I trust your people are satisfied?
Yamazaki: Our people, Director. Don’t forget who put you here.
Director: Of course.
Yamazaki: We appreciate you clearing your operating schedule. It is paramount to our interest that Soders survives. Still, this cannot have been easy.
(…)
Director: If you don’t mind me asking. Who is Eric Soders? His resume says retired big game hunter.
Yamazaki: Amusing. In a way I suppose he was in his day. Mr Soders belonged to an organization involved in the recent attacks against us and we needed a man on the inside.
Director: So it’s true. Someone is targeting Providence.
Yamazaki: Not for much longer.
(…)
Yamazaki on the phone with the constant
Yamazaki: Sir. No, the patient remained stable. I only wanted to… yes, the investigation. Nothing? How can there be nothing? Hajun was killed in a public parking garage in the middle of the afternoon. You are saying there are no witnesses, nothing on the CCTV cameras? What was he even doing in Johannesburg? And don’t tell me I don’t need to know sir, because I… I really need to know. Hajun was… important to me. I feared as much. It has to be the same person. Whoever hoodwinked ICA, whoever abducted Thomas Cross and fried Schaeffer-Moore’s servers- they killed Hajun. As a matter of fact, sir, I do feel better. I thank you for your trust.
Yamazaki on the phone with Mikhail
Yamazaki: Mikhail. Yes, I need another favour. The footage from the carpark in Johannesburg. Yes, the constant already told me they found no trace of Hajuns killer but I need to see for myself. No he doesn’t. I’m too involved to lead the investigation. And he is absolutely right from a purely strategic perspective, as always. Which is why I am talking to you. No you will do this for me, Mikhail. Because… you know what it’s like to be in love.
Cutscene: Partners, then?
Edwards: Miss Burnwood.
Diana: That's not what my ticket says.
Edwards: We received your message. Loud and clear, I might add. Honestly, you could have just sacked the poor guy.
Diana: I didn't catch your name.
Edwards: No. You didn't. There'll be no retaliations. Not for Soders, nor any other recent fiascos. Someone's been meddling in our affairs, killing our operatives and making the ICA look like fools. I think you got close to that someone. Closer than we've ever been. That's why we're hiring you to take him down.
Diana: I don't think so.
Edwards: Don't rattle our cages Miss Burnwood. You really have no idea.
Diana: You spy on us. Bribe our people. And you have the gall to demand our help? No. You can't be trusted.
Edwards: Even so. We've been around for a long, long time. I think we could help each other. Some twenty years ago, your agency took in a young man with no past and... extraordinary skills. In his own special way he cares about you and vice versa. And ever since that time, you've never stopped wondering where he came from. And who made him what he is.
Diana: There was a doctor. Some depraved experiment. But he's gone now.
Edwards: Well if you believe the questions died with him, we have nothing further to discuss. If not? As I said, I think we could help each other. Partners, then? Cheer up, Miss Burnwood. We... we are the lesser evil. This terrorist? He wants nothing but chaos.
Diana: He is only a terrorist if you win.
Edwards: Miss Burnwood. We won a long time ago. This? This is maintenance.

A second song, similar to the first I submitted. Instead of a “Something’s coming and you can’t predict what it is” vibe it’s more of a “something’s coming and you can’t stop it” vibe
I had two requests for this song right after I finished The Stupendium’s Hitman 2 Rap, so this is to answer both @misterbrick42 and @issytheamateurnerd 😊
Funny enough, I listened to the song for the first time just before your requests came in and I’ve replayed it constantly until I was able to find the time to write for it. Enjoy!

As impressive and professional as the ICA was, it was no stranger to standard office culture. The company was abuzz with a mixture of awe and unease despite its operational tendency towards discretion. Considering the shocking memo the Agency circulated, however, their employees couldn’t be blamed for clucking like hens.
Lucifer Protocol Initiated.
Rivers never expected anything to top the spectacular mess from his early days with the ICA cleaner division. The aftermath was burned in his memory of Agent Jaguar’s failed attempt to one-up the ICA’s top assassin, with twenty-nine people needing body bags (including the agent himself). That had been a treat for the ICA rumor mill, as were the other stories Rivers became privy to when he transitioned into his position as a handler. He learned more tales of deadly egos and mission mishaps, of agents bungling electrocutions and proximity explosives, all in the vain attempt to mark themselves the best above the legend that was Agent 47. But not even Jaguar’s fiery failure could compare to the intrigue of the latest scandal.
The ICA was at war with a ghost.
It was no secret in the Agency that Erich Soders hated 47. During the late years of his tenure on the ICA Board of Directors, Soders argued that the Agency needed to plan for 47’s demise should he ever go rogue. 47 is a man with no allegiances, he argued. If he bites the hand that feeds him, he needs to be put down quickly and efficiently. The other directors were less concerned with 47 turning against them. He was their most valuable asset and Burnwood kept him on a leash—as long as she was his handler, they didn’t see an issue.
Soders didn’t let it lie, however, so the board eventually agreed to develop an emergency protocol in the event that 47 outlived his usefulness. Referred to as the Lucifer Protocol (Soders’ choice), the Agency would organize and send their top agents after 47 in a coordinated effort to take him down should he ever betray them. There the plan sat formulated and nearly forgotten, kept behind lock and key simply due to the continued presence of Diana Burnwood.
Though for reasons unknown, Burnwood was no longer in contact with the Agency. A contract had been placed on Agent 47 and the ICA decided to pursue it, agreeing to go after him and his supposed accomplice, Olivia Hall, in Berlin. The Agency was no stranger to accepting contracts taken out on its staff, but Agent 47 was decidedly not an average employee. The board immediately enacted Soders’ protocol to fulfill the demands of the contract and pulled their top eleven agents off of other assignments to assist in the effort.
Rivers wasn’t certain of the details, but it was no secret that the operation had been a complete disaster. He heard whispers that 47 had taken down five ICA agents, including Agent Montgomery, killing enough of them to make a point to his former employer to back off. Some of his colleagues swore that 47 actually eliminated all eleven agents, furious and hellbent on taking revenge against the Agency as much as he possibly could. Whatever the case, the handler in charge of the operation was now on leave by order of the board. 47 was still alive and probably quite pissed off, and that would likely get worse since the board declared they would continue pursuing the contract.
Since the mission failure in Berlin, the board of directors escaped to undisclosed compounds as a precaution, with the exception of Angus Pritchard as he was already en route to the data facility in Chongqing. Pritchard was probably unconcerned with the trip, however, what with security being intensified at each facility following the Berlin incident.
The board seemed to think they still had the upper hand against 47. They made sure to let the company know it, too, via another memo. 47 could no longer access his assets or any ICA suppliers for support. There was no reason to panic, they said—it would be insane for him to go after the Agency, and everyone should proceed with work as normal.
Despite their reassurances, the ICA no longer carried the cool and confident atmosphere it once had. Tension gripped the minds of many at the Agency with the concern that somehow, somewhere, 47 would appear and take them down in retaliation. Was that odd noise a fluke or a well-timed distraction? Was that simply a shadow or was it the devil waiting to strike? A nervous quiet fell over the facility as paranoia continued to gnaw at them.
Employees ranging from analysts to maintenance workers were suddenly absent from work the next day. Even some of the agents resigned so they could scatter off the grid as best as they possibly could lest they be sent by the ICA to their doom. Rivers couldn’t blame them, but he chose to continue working within the facility. Those that remained seemed to share the same outlook he had since the protocol was activated.
Agent 47 had proven, time and time again, that he was the world’s best assassin. If he wanted someone dead, it was not a matter of if it would happen, but when. He was an expert at achieving the impossible and never missed his mark. What good did it do for anyone to hide?
It was inevitable yet no less shocking when the facility filled with the chorus of emergency notifications. Computers and phones blared with fury as the same ICA alert glared red across every screen: AGENCY IS COMPROMISED. THIS IS NOT A TEST.
Rivers fell back in his chair as he watched his colleagues absorb the news in a panic.
The ICA was exposed. Everyone was compromised.
47 just took down the entire Agency.
Rivers reached for the flask deep in his drawer, a gift from his old mentor. You‘ll need it someday, kid, he remembered him saying. Now was certainly as good of a time as any. He unscrewed the cap and raised the flask in the air, nodding to no one in particular before taking a swig.
They were all fucked.

AU based on the Hitman games because listen, I had this image in my head of Steve in a designer suit, black leather gloves, unpacking and assembling a sniper rifle from an equally black case; and I can’t stop thinking about it, it’s such a look. Broad shoulders, toned muscles, carefully styled hair. Modern with aged up characters I think.
He works for a multinational, well funded, secret organisation that works with the global elite and the rich and famous, doing whatever needs to be done (based on the hitman games ICA, if you know it). Underground labs, research, training and recruiting spies, and thieves and hitmen. Layers and layers of secrecy. Steve doesn’t know a lot about how it works. He doesn’t need to. He doesn’t have the access. He knows Martin Brenner runs his sect, and is on the board of directors.
Steve is one of their top assassin’s. The infamous hitman. He gets given a mission and he is expected to do it. Raised into the Agency by his parents. He doesn’t deal with the higher ups. Like all of the agency’s assassins - he has a handler. A middle man. Robin Buckley. She is the one who provides him with the correspondence from the agency, the briefings on his targets. She handles his plane tickets and his hotel bookings. She helps with research, translation, minor hacking jobs (not her area of expertise, as she loves to remind him).
She is one of the only people he talks to, and Steve has only met her in person once. Handlers aren’t allowed to liaise with their agents, technically. But Robin says that’s bogus. Shouldn’t getting along with their agent help in the long run? He’s putting his life on the line because of her work. So when he was finally in the same town as the one where the base Robin works at - she arranged a meeting. And now Steve can finally admit to himself that Robin is his best friend. Even if it means he has to listen to her fake gag over the earpiece when he has to flirt with someone for a mission.
It’s what he’s best at - people. He can blend in with a crowd, become someone he’s not. Put on the mask, become whatever cover story Robin’s created for him. Flirt with women, with men. Make himself someone they want to tell their secrets to. He’s aware, with keen perception skills, and a natural affinity for people and how they work. He can manipulate them. It comes in handy in his line of work. He blends in with the rich and famous, easy. Play the part.
The only one he isn’t putting a mask on for, is Robin.
Her, and Henderson. The young upstart boy genius that apparently works for the agency’s research division. He doesn’t talk to him a lot, but when he does it’s like the kid has latched onto him like a leech. Talking about this new piece of technology that he bets will be super helpful out in the field, about the workplace gossip and how no one takes him seriously because of how young he is. He’s over 18! Barely but still! He’s an adult! Asks Steve questions about his missions which he knows Steve isn’t allowed to answer. But it’s sort of nice. Makes him feel more like a person and less like a machine.
Steve completes his contracts. Travels the world, and kills people without a trace. No evidence, no civilian casualties. Only sometimes he listens to them, bugs their offices. Reads their papers and searches through computers. Finds things. Only mere hints, but its enough to suggest that maybe the agency isn’t quite what it seems. So he passes it onto Robin and Henderson, and lets them work.
One day where Robin and Steve are on call (encrypted, top secret) talking about their upcoming contract - Robin says she’s got Henderson on the other line and apparently it’s urgent? So Steve says they can drop the contract talk, let him onto the call. And Henderson instantly starts talking about his new civilian friend Eddie, they need to find him. (Steve’s not jealous, he’s not).
Only Henderson explains that Eddie is currently being hunted down for a murder he didn’t commit, because he witnessed something he shouldn’t. And now The Agency (the one they work for, fuck) is hunting him down. And Dustin can do research, science, math, all that shit. But field work? Finding someone who doesn’t want to be found? That’s Robin and Steve’s department.
So they ask Dustin to tell them everything they know about Eddie, where he lives, works, his interests, any family or friends? And together Robin and Steve build a case file like they would with any of Steve’s targets. Dustin shares Eddie’s social media profiles, maybe there are some clues in there? And so Steve pulls up his Instagram and very rapidly represses down the thought that this Munson guy is pretty cute, with big doe eyes framed by long lashes, pink lips, and delightfully big and curly hair. He can’t afford any distractions. No emotions.
So he pushes it down and gets back to work. It'll just be another job.
MOMO!!! (Can I call you momo?) THIS IS SO GOOD. I can see Steve going through the montage of getting ready, thigh holster, hip holster, chest holster, slams his foot down and a tiny blade comes out the tip of his shoe, presses down on this heel again and it retracts. He’s buttoning up his cuffs, fixing his collar, pulling his jacket on with its various hidden pockets and lining. He sighs, puts his ear piece in and he’s ready to go.
When dustin finishes telling Steve about Eddie, about how he NEEDS Steve to help him Steve almost says no. It’s on the tip of his tongue, Steve doesn’t get attached to people and he is contracted to the company. He gets ready to let Dustin know but hears his own voice reply
‘Robin what have you got on him? Henderson when was the last time you had contact? Time stamps? What’s his background?’
He startles himself but doesn’t let it show. Can’t back down now, Steve Harrington does not go back on his word.
So they track eddie down, through sheer determination (and a lot of Dustin and Robin’s skill and intel). It took 2 planes and very life threatening car ride from a friend of Dustin’s who insists she’s a good driver but Steve’s usually iron clad stomach is still recovering from the red head’s driving. This is why Steve usually insist on driving himself but Dustin would not budge on this for some unknown reason. Steve thinks hes trying to get the girl involved in the business but steve refuses to embroil anyone else in this.
He makes it to the family run restaurant eddie is hiding out in, in the back of beyond where cell signal is questionable at best. Steve is just about to sit down and start his surveillance when suddenly someone is sitting next to him, takes the soda steve ordered and takes a big drink
‘Dam dingus, Dr Pepper? Really? Water would have been better?’
Steve is momentarily stunned, Robin? Here? He has questions, knows this isn’t good practice, knows this puts Robin in danger and he can’t have that, not her. Before he can say anything Robin is pushing him towards Eddie
‘Come on, we are mr and mrs wade and we are looking for tips on the music scene here. Newly weds with hearts of gold. No arguing, I know what I’m doing’
Steve is close to pushing her out but he’s made eye contact with Eddie now, he’s been spotted and against his best intentions he’s intrigued by the man infront of him. The smile breaking through his haunted look has Steve wanting to know more, he’ll fight it but who knows if he’ll be successful.
Cue Robin and Steve trying to be a passable couple but it being a disaster. Eddie warming to both of them when he knows he should keep his distance. Getting feelings for Steve but not wanting to break a marriage up. The arrival of ‘cousin Dustin’ to make everything ten times more complicated and the return of the red head driver who happens to know Eddie and Dustin and nothing is as simple as it should be.
#MOMO YOU HAVE YET AGAIN GOT ME HOOKER#*hooked#I have a range of songs I’d love to put to this au#ALSO side note but mardyart on here has a spies au with fanart that is INCREDIBLE#and could so easily tie in here if Eddie gets brought into the business#yes I’m a huge mardyart fan but will not tag them because I’m scared and they are Too Cool for Me#stranger things#steddie#eddie munson#steve harrington#ask#anon#dustin henderson#Robin Buckley

Why not some more hitman ABO???
He goes through handlers frequently, and today he is to meet yet another one and he spots him immediately; another anonymous European confused by a Starbucks opposite another Starbucks in the Lower East Side, chosen as it is an easy walk from where 47 has been placed for this pseudo-retirement. He knows without checking that his new handler is male, and is a beta with alpha aspirations. They all are. The ICA recruiters are weak to a certain type of man who plays that gendered game, the stereotypes of the second sex they want, rather than the one they got in the cruel deal at puberty.
This was the hand that he was dealt, the compensation he received: a life of Beta males, rye bread, and first refusal on the best hits. The same promise, every time.
His new handler introduces himself as Tomasz, from the Lodz office. They make small talk in German as that is 47’s cover at the moment, Christoph Brennholz.
Tomasz is politely dressed for the weather, and 47 covets his coat, last season’s Tom Ford.
Tomasz passes the documents over, and confirms that it is his first time in New York in the fall. Is it not beautiful, Herr Brennholz, in the central park? Perhaps we could go walking there. His voice is soft, and 47 knows when he’s being cruised, however poor his grammar is. Time was he wouldn’t notice the grooming, or see it dispassionately as something to be exploited, but now he wonders if it's worth taking him up on it.
Out of the corner of his eye, 47 sees a flash of red hair, and hears a squall in the wind that cuts through him like a knife. He is out of the shop in a flash, eyes scanning, hackles up, and then he’s knocked to the ground by a large man. The wind goes out of him, and his head hits the hard concrete of the sidewalk hard, and he goes down and watches helplessly as a pair of familiar shoes climbs into a yellow cab and speeds away.
When he’s helped up, the cab has merged into traffic. The man, a patsy, 47 recognises him as one of Diana’s local assets, apologises profusely as Tomasz glues himself to 47’s side, hustling him into a cab.
47 is careful to not check his pockets, but he doesn’t need to to know that something has been placed there.
He’s checked out by a doctor and given the all-clear, and then Tomasz escorts him back to the apartment. 47 puts the coffee maker on and misplaces his coat in the spare room’s wardrobe as Tomasz openly makes mental notes about him to report back to HQ.
Afternoon comes, and with it comes the rain, and Tomasz leaves disappointed in another carefully disguised ICA car, and once he is safely gone, 47 retrieves the note from the pocket of his coat with shaking hands, and allows himself a moment of happiness as he traces the curve of her hand with his thumb.

Contract Type: Elusive Target
Target Type: Elusive Target Concept
Location: The Final Test (Greenland)
Diana's Briefing: "47, this is urgent. ICA has been compromised. A private investigator working for the shadow client's private militia has breached one of our facilities. Our training grounds, specifically the recreation of the Jasper Knight operation, have been infiltrated by the PI. His name is Valentyn Yuko, an Eastern European master of his craft.
He is wanted in Belarus and Russia for attempting to leak state secrets, having spent his early adulthood in the military. He has jumped from nation to nation, working for less than scrupulous clients wanting even less scrupulous information.
Jason Portman, Kronstadt, Ether, and even Erich Soders have all requested his services. Now, his most recent client is the militia, who plan to reveal the ICA's existence to the world.
The ICA has sanctioned this contract. The guards are still using live rounds and another potential operative's training is underway. Valentyn will be in disguise, so keep an eye out for anyone acting unusually as we have no physical descriptions or available information other than the fact that he entered from the hangar. Perhaps that point of entry could help you track him.
Nobody can know we've been compromised, least of all the militia. A select few people know of the breach, so guards will shoot if they believe you do not belong. Be careful 47, this is a delicate operation. I'll leave you to prepare..."
Target Intel: Despite not knowing what he looks like, Mr Yuko has left quite the digital footprint. Born in Belarus some time in the 80's, he joined the military relatively early in his life. On a joint-training operation between Belarus and Russia, he attempted to steal the Russian state and military secrets in the office of the general watching over the operation. It is believed he was aiming to sell them to the late Sergei Zavorotko, whom I'm sure you know well. Sergei's crimes were only uncovered upon his death, though Valentyn's were discovered immediately. He was arrested but escaped custody and became wanted across several nations over the years. He has worked for countless clients and backstabbed half of them, freely switching sides to whoever pays him more (Though, the ICA would rather not take their chances with that). He almost never takes a small job, presumably because of his pride as it has been noted that he has refused jobs from high-profile clients simply because they were "too small". He has made stops in Turkey, Poland, Kazakhstan, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary, though his last stop will be Greenland, where the footprints end and ours never appear.
Target routes and behaviors: Valentyn Yuko is initially disguised as an airplane technician and inspects the whole room, ending with Valentyn snapping a photo of the jet. He finds a guard disguise and patrols the rest of the compound, frequently looking over his shoulder. If the player gets too close behind him when he looks over his shoulder, he'll take the most efficient route to the nearest disguise. If the player keeps following him, he becomes an enforcer for the player's current disguise. He'll photograph Jasper Knight, the KGB officer, the vodka, the model escape car, and force himself into what were originally mission story conversations.
If the alarms are sounded, or the target is alerted, he'll attempt to flee the map. If he escapes, the mission will fail.
If the player photographs him taking pictures, then talks to the KGB officer, the officer will interrogate Valentyn in the isolated radio room, allowing for an easy elimination if the player can slip in during the brief window of opportunity while the KGB steps out of the room. If not, the KGB officer lets Valentyn go.
If the player finds the agent-in-training, he can watch him set his mission details down and forget them. This is Agent Davenport pre-Berlin. Family snippets ( Soonhoon )
Genre: Slice of life (Family life)
Characters: Woozi x Soonyoung ; mention of child/ren
"Ica! I told you no playing inside my office!" Woozi shouted at his daughter. At the same time, a rushing Soonyoung from the kitchen immediately went to his crying daughter's side.
"Are you okay, bub?" Sy asked their kid and looked at Wz questionably.
At that moment, Woozi felt that it was all his fault again and again and again. In response, he threw the wet coffee-stained documents on the floor and loudly closed the door after he got into his office.
"Stop crying bub. Dad's just stressed out. He doesn't want to be mad at you at all. Go back to your room first and I'll talk to dad first, okay?" Sy told his kid. He led her to her room before leaving for Wz's office.
Sy picked up the wet documents and tried to pat it dry so it could at least be readable when it dries out. After a while when he finished drying them out, he picked them all and went to Wz's office.
"So Hun..." Sy stood in the doorway while smiling at his husband.
"Sorry for earlier," Wz said pouting while he walked to hug his battery charger. "I'm sorry I was just so stressed today, " Wz whined. "Wait... did you dry it out for me? I could just print them out again." Wz said as he noticed the stacked paper Sy held in his arms.
"There were handwritten notes and I bet they're important. I know you're anxious about the upcoming meeting with the board but next time talk calmly with the kid. What happened wasn't intentional afterall."
"Yeah... Sorry." Wz said as he breathe heavy puffs onto Sy shoulders
"Are you fine already? You know that I'm not the person you should apologize to, right? Will you go with me to apologize to our kid? We can't have our little bug carry a little burden in her heart before sleeping, right?" Wz nodded as the two walked upstairs.
Woozi might be a famous producer and a heavyweight in the music industry but at home, his husband is still his little baby.
The little kid is firmly hugging his little tiger while sniffing.
Wz felt heavyhearted seeing his little baby like this. He shouldn't have been that mad earlier.
The two said sorry while Sy stared at his precious people, right there, he knew he was where he belongs- with his family.

Character Information: Odil
Name: Odil
Rank: Officer
Designation: Silver
Gender: Female (She/Her)
Affiliation: T̸h̶e̴ ̵G̴o̷v̶e̸r̷n̸m̵e̷n̸t̵ The Fungle
Cause of Death: Burnt Alive
Personality:
Odil is very kind. Even as she joined the military alongside her brother, Odil always prioritized doing what was right. Despite her rather…menacing appearance, she is something of a cinnamon roll. She enjoys helping others, and she’s definitely the softer of the pair.
Story:
Odil was born a few minutes after her brother Jitil, and the two were thick as thieves from the start. Sadly, the two were also placed into the foster system at a young age due to their parents' arrests. They had to fight to stay together, though it got easier when they would cause problems whenever attempts to separate them were made.
Thankfully, neither of them ended up on the streets, however they did eventually age out of the system. Odil, the caretaker of the two, suggested that they join the military, since finding a job with their scattered record would be…difficult to say the least.
They enlisted together, begging to be kept at each others sides, and whether it was because the recruiting officer had a soft spot for kids or because the two had literally nobody else, they were assigned to the same base camp on Earth.
As they finished their first enlistment period, they decided to attend Officer Training Camp, and they spent some time there. When the war against the Imposters broke out, the siblings, with nothing tying them to the planet, shipped out to space to fight against the aliens.
The siblings hopped from ship to ship, heading exploration missions to try and locate the Imposters home planet. However, they were eventually reassigned to Polus after their failures to find a planet of Imposters. They served under Commander Olo, and grew close to the man who acted as a father figure to them.
Odil spent most of her time on base in the laboratory, studying the movement of planets and inspecting the samples other soldiers would bring her. She also served as Rouvan’s aid whenever he needed help with the medical equipment.
After the war ended, and the soldiers were recalled to Earth, Odil and Jitil were split up for the first time in their military career. Odil was assigned undercover to the Toppat missions, where she ended up being assigned to the Submarine Art-ica. The mission was…simultaneously stressful and monotonous. The days blurred together, even as people were quite literally being sacrificed to the ocean and murdered during the night.
Thankfully, Odil was able to get her intel and deliver it, being taken off the mission and awarded a “vacation” with her brother and Olo. Said vacation may or may not have been escorting a prisoner on a cruise liner in order to keep anyone from knowing that said prisoner was onboard but c’est la vie.
However, the cruise liner was attacked by a long-range Toppat missile, and the Odil found herself on a tropical island along with her brother, Olo, the prisoner, and a handful of civilians. Let us not forget that said island was also inhabited by a parasitic mushroom that was spreading across literally everything that moved (and even the stuff that didn’t).
Thanks to her military-grade equipment, Odil managed to delay the Fungle from infecting her for quite a while, however, after the Commander was infected and Odil knew his body would need to be killed to prevent the mushroom from using it. As she and Jitil killed the Commander’s body, the Fungle was finally able to spread to her and her brother using their contact. And when they realized just how much of their mind was still intact, despite the calm and peace radiating through them from the Fungle Hivemind, well…they didn’t get much sleep that night, instead washing his body respectfully so that he could go home in dignity.
However, their plans to bring the commander home were foiled by a rather fire-happy individual who set them on fire, using the mushroom spores to accelerate and fuel their flames.
