of course, trying to find a translation to modern japanese was a bit of a hassle, because every website goes straight ahead to “well it means that if you try really hard, you’ll succeed” no! i want you to explain it to me like i’m five! but i finally found it! it’s やればできる。何事も、やらなければできない。できないのはいぇろうとしないからだ。 which basically means “if you try, you can do it. if you don’t try, you won’t do it. the reason why you/people can’t is because you/people don’t try”. COOL ! THANKS
