the jiang sect motto in japanese is uh fun, because

of course, trying to find a translation to modern japanese was a bit of a hassle, because every website goes straight ahead to “well it means that if you try really hard, you’ll succeed” no! i want you to explain it to me like i’m five! but i finally found it! it’s やればできる。何事も、やらなければできない。できないのはいぇろうとしないから��。 which basically means “if you try, you can do it. if you don’t try, you won’t do it. the reason why you/people can’t is because you/people don’t try”. COOL ! THANKS

now the jiang sect motto is, 成せぬと知りても、為さねば成らぬ. “even knowing that it’s impossible, if you don’t try, you won’t succeed”. it’s kinda. Very Japanese Language, considering that to say “you have to do it” in japanese, you say “it’ll be bad if you don’t do it”.
