❛ You're back early. ❜ Luke doesn't expect to see her home already as he walks through the door. He puts his keys and a couple shopping bags on the counter before walking over to her and leaning down for a kiss. Usually, Luke got home before her, as his hours working at the harm reduction center changed from time to time. When he pulls back, he follows Sam's gaze to the bags on the counter. Sheepishly, he smiles and stands upright. ❛ I was going to surprise you and cook dinner. ❜ Not much of a surprise anymore, but that was alright.

Quite a few Scouts were down for the count; some of them were wounded and recovering, and others were so worn down, that they began to get sick. Jean was one of the lucky few that remained relatively healthy. He thought Mars was too, until she came up to him and informed him that she thought she was getting sick. 

Jean immediately notices that her face is rather flushed, and her nose is red – he assumes she’s been blowing it.    ❛ Come here. ❜    He requests gently, reaching out and placing the back of his hand on her forehead. Her head was hot.    ❛ Mars, you’re burning up. You need to go lay down.❜    He’s already attempting to usher her towards her bed –– he’ll bring her some food and water once he convinces her to rest.

His brows raise in disbelief. ❛ The hell are you talking about? ❜ Dean doesn't know what right this person feels they have to be talking about Blair in this way, but he isn't having any of it. ❛ You done talkin' outta' your ass? ❜ He's not entertaining this. To him, Blair is not a flight risk. No, he knows her well. She's loyal and dedicated –– and Dean also knows better than anyone else that the only person at risk of getting him killed... is himself.

❛ I don't get embarrassed, so I can't answer that. ❜ Bullshit. ( Can't get out of this that easy. ) After a few moments of silence, Eden lets out a sigh, shakes her head, and rolls her eyes. ❛ Fine.
