WIP game, Dragon Age, First Time!

Ooooh! This is a fun one. Alistair is finally ready to join Odessa in her tent, but he's so nervous because he's never done this before. Odessa is ridiculously experienced and is happy to help him through the motions so they can figure out the other's pleasures and things they like. I haven't gotten very far yet but here's a snippet!

"I've never done this before. But I want it to be with you, now while we still have the chance. I mean--if you still want to, I'd like to give it a shot."

Alistair ducked his head to stare at his shoes, blushing from head to toe in embarrassment. Could he be any more red? Sure they'd kissed--a lot, and it was fun and amazing and just felt right, but he wanted more; she hadn't pushed since asking him to join her in her tent that first time, and now he was finally ready for that step, with her--terrified, but ready. Odessa smiled and reached out her hand, twining the fingers of one hand with his as she took a step closer. Alistair let out a shaky breath, Odessa bringing her other hand came up to cup his chin and she leaned in, their lips meeting in a sweet kiss.

I have four canon Warden's, but I draw and make lore for every warden I make when I create a new save file. Ik it's alot but I play this game 24/7 so I always have new warden's 💀

Alyss Divinity Shepard (Mass Effect): Alyss=Noble, Divinity=Of or belonging to a god, Shepard=Sheep Herder; When I read Frank Beddor's The Looking Glass Wars I loved that he spelled Alice 'A-L-Y-S-S' and so when I created my first Shepard without my sister her name was Alyss. Divinity was actually because my sister and I used to play Tao Feng all the time and she didn't like it when I tried to be Divinity and it actually just sounded so nice with Alyss and Shepard that it stuck. Shepard is the Canon game last name in Mass Effect. I didn't choose it XD

Abigail 'Abs/Abby' Henley Shepard (Mass Effect): Abigail=my father's joy(ironic considering her dad is a deadbeat who walked out of her life before she was able to remember him), Henley=high meadow, Shepard=sheep herder; I wanted another A name, since she kind of adopted my background and was going down the list of baby names starting with A and pairing them with Shepard to see how they sounded. I liked it. Her middle name was actually going to be Geist, the character in Tao Feng I usually played when my sister wouldn't let me be Divinity (see above), but then we were watching 'Now You See Me' and really liked Henley, and it sounded better paired with Abigail than Geist did. Shepard is the Canon game last name in Mass Effect. I didn't choose it XD

Taye Evelyn Shepard (Mass Effect): Taye=he has been seen, Evelyn=desired child (ironic considering she's an orphan and was abandoned after birth), Shepard=sheep herder; I love love love Taye Diggs okay, so I stole his name. Evelyn just sounded really nice with Taye and Shepard when I was trying them together and I wanted her initials to be TES. Shepard is the Canon game last name in Mass Effect. I didn't choose it XD

Odessa 'Desi' Grace Cousland (Dragon Age: Origins): Odessa=wrathful (which is funny considering her story line in Dragon age is all about revenge), Grace=Goodness and generosity (she does have a bleeding heart), Cousland=cow's land; Honestly there is no story behind this other than I wanted a three syllable name ending in an 'uh' sound because the default name Elissa was nice, but I never choose the default name, so I tweaked it. Grace just sounded good paired with both of them. Cousland is the canon game last name for the noble origin in Dragon Age: Origins. I didn't choose it XD

Elyssia Beatrix Hawke (Dragon Age II): Elyssia=from the blessed isles, Beatrix=voyager/traveller, Hawke=hawk/wild; Elyssia was my throwback to Dragon Age Origins the default for a Cousland because at the time I swore it was Elissia not Elissa and all those previews for the movie Elysium were going around--she was not my first Hawke I made, just the one that stuck. Beatrix I was looking for a name meaning blessed one and stumbled on 'Beatrice', but liked it's latin root 'Beatrix' better...turns out it has a slightly different meaning than intended but it actually works better and isn't redundant with her first name anymore. Hawke is the canon game last name for Dragon Age II. I didn't choose it XD

Celeste Rosalind Hawke (Dragon Age II): Celeste=heavenly, Rosalind=beautiful, Hawke=hawk/wild; I'm a space nut so of course I had to have a space-themed name (I also have a Nebula). Rosalind was because I wanted a middle name meaning 'beautiful' and of all the names I found, this is the only one that rolled off the tongue with her other two names. Hawke is the canon game last name for Dragon Age II. I didn't choose it XD

Victoria 'Tori' Adelaide Trevelyan (Dragon Age: Inquisition): Victoria=victory, Adelaide=noble natured (ironic considering she is the human noble origin), Trevelyan=farmstead (I'm sensing a theme in Bioware's human noble last names...). She actually just started as Tori, a throwback to my first ever Dragon Age: Origins run as an elven circle mage Tourmaline, nicknamed Tori (because if I have a chance in a game to not be human I will take it), and I've always loved the name Victoria, so it stuck. I was literally just scrolling through baby names, saw Adelaide and that was that. Trevelyan is the canon game last name for the human noble origin in Dragon Age: Inquisition. I didn't choose it XD

Briar Rose Lavellan (Dragon Age: Inquisition): Briar=Thorny bush of wild roses/brambles, Rose=flower, Lavellan=(so this is great XD) In Scottish folklore, a Lavellan is a creature from northern Scotland generally considered to be a kind of rodent, larger than a rat and very noxious, that lived in deep pools in rivers. Its poisonous abilities were legendary, and it was said to be able to injure cattle over a hundred feet away. I wanted a nature-y name and kept thinking of Sleeping Beauty (who is one of my favorite Disney princesses, by the way) being nicknamed "Briar Rose" and here we are. Lavellan is the canon game last name for the dalish elf origin in Dragon Age: Inquisition. I didn't choose it XD

Newti Lavellan (Dragon Age: Inquisition): Newti=doesn't have a meaning; I made it up--so I will create my own meaning 'tenacious one who loves a good challenge' because if that isn't her to a t, I don't know what is, Lavellan= a large, noxious rodent In Scottish folklore. Newti was me just randomly typing letters and putting them together until they made something I liked and that sounded fantasy like. Lavellan is the canon game last name for the dalish elf origin in Dragon Age: Inquisition. I didn't choose it XD

Y'vonne 'Yvi' Terria Vollay (Star Wars: The Old Republic): Y'vonne=yew/archer, Terria=Queen, Vollay=doesn't have a meaning; I made it up...however it could technically be a variant of volley--the root word is the Latin volare, "to fly" or rapid simultaneous discharge of firearms, which actually works for her pretty well considering her occupation is leader of the best of the best special forces squad in the Republic. Named after Yvonne Strahovski because Sarah Walker was my favorite character in 'Chuck' and then she voiced Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect. But in SWTOR if a name is taken sometimes you have to get creative--hence the apostrophe. Terria was a twist on Terra because it sounded/felt better with the extra syllable. And Vollay was me just randomly typing letters and putting them together until they made something I liked and that sounded Star Wars-y

Stelloc Vahlen Merr (Star Wars: The Old Republic): Stelloc=doesn't have a meaning; I made it up (however it is very close to Stella which means Celestial Star, and I really love that for her). Vahlen=Gentle. Merr=born of merry times, though I'm surprised I found something because I made it up. Stelloc is actually a throwback to my Star Trek: The Original Series OC, who had the same name as my Harry Potter OC Mira Stelloc, which at that point was me just randomly typing letters and putting them together until they made something I liked and that sounded fantasy like. I used Stelloc as her first name because I knew it wouldn't be taken in SWTOR, and Merr is Mira but very tweaked because the Star Wars games (KOTOR II) already had a Mira, and as a last name its very weird. But honestly I like it better as a first name, and wish I'd figured that out a long time ago. Her middle name Vahlen I was specifically looking for a name that meant gentle.

Tayli Pirrard (Star Wars: The Old Republic): Tayli=from the tall tree meadow, Pirrard=Master of their own destiny (technically Pirard but I love that, especially considering she has to break free of Imperial intelligence's and SIS's control with the help of Watcher X). Tayli was a more Star Wars version of Taylor and I love the 'eee' sound at the end of names. Don't know why: Tori. Penny. Tayli. Ivi/Ivy, Newti, Desi...see the pattern? Pirrard was me just randomly typing letters and putting them together until they made something I liked and that sounded Star Wars like.

Seyla Vorre (Star Wars: The Old Republic): Seyla=rock/moon, Vorre=an omniscient goddess, though once again I'm surprised because I made it up, and it is apparently a variant of Vor. I randomized names for a good 20 minutes until SWTOR provided me with 'Sela', and I added a y to create the phonetic version of how I pronounced it in my head. Then I really liked how it looked and how it sounded and I was hooked. Vorre was me just randomly typing letters and putting them together until they made something I liked and that sounded Star Wars like.

Alexis 'Alex' Isabella Ryder (Mass Effect: Andromeda): Alexis=defender/protector, Isabella=devoted to god, Ryder=horseman. I have always loved using Alex as a nickname and normally I use Alexandria, but I figured it was time for a change and chose Alexis instead. I wanted an A name for my first Ryder, just like my first Shepard. Isabella was actually going to be Isabel but I liked the way it sounded with Alexis better. Ryder is the canon game last name for Mass Effect: Andromeda. I didn't choose it XD

Marlo Ryder (Mass Effect: Andromeda): Marlo=drop of the sea, Ryder=horseman. I've always loved the name Marlo, and it was the name of Lassie's wife in psych played by the amazing Kristy Swanson (the original Buffy) and they were so cute and I was in love with Lassie/Timothy Olmundson that I changed the spelling to the way I liked it and voila. Ryder is the canon game last name for Mass Effect: Andromeda. I didn't choose it XD

Ivi Ryder (Mass Effect: Andromeda): Ivi=ivy plant (coincidence to why I chose it? I think not), Ryder=horseman. Named for Poison Ivy (my 2nd favorite Batman villain), with a little tweak to the spelling so it wasn't as obvious, lol. Ryder is the canon game last name for Mass Effect: Andromeda. I didn't choose it XD

Nessa Rose Sinclair (The Arcana): Nessa=butterfly(which is ironic considering she died and came back with no memory and had to try to rebuild what she lost and caterpillars have to dissolve into disgusting goop in their cocoons and rebuild themselves piece by piece), Rose=flower, Sinclair=pure/renowned/illustrious. Nessa I honestly thought I made it up so this was a nice surprise. Normally I don't re-use names, but I wanted a flower name and chose my favorite, because it sounded the best. So yes. I have two OCs with Rose as a middle name. Don't judge me. Sinclaire was honestly because I was playing Pixelberry's 'Desire and Decorum' at the same time and I was in love with Ernest Sinclaire.

Yvette Harrington (The Arcana): Yvette=yew (apparently it is the same as Yvonne), Harrington=mighty/powerful (ironic considering Yvette is tiny, though she is ridiculously powerful just not mighty--she and Muriel have the size difference kink going on XD). I was watching Clue at the time and decided Yvette was the perfect name, lol. Harrington was actually pulled out of a last name generator because it sounded nice.

Marina Shepard (Mass Effect): Marina=from the sea. Shepard=sheep herder. I was scrolling through baby names and it was between this one and three others and I took a poll in one of my discord groups and they all chose Marina as the winner. Shepard is the Canon game last name in Mass Effect. I didn't choose it XD

Hetti Elizabeth Gerdwon of Lyria (The Witcher): Hetti=House owner, Elizabeth=God's promise, Gerdwon=has no meaning. It was made up apparently. Both Hetti and Gerdwon were pulled from a fantasy name generator, Hetti first, Gerdwon about a month later because it worked so well with Hetti. Elizabeth was the Victorian name that worked with both of them.

Phryne Tav (Baldur's Gate 3): Phryne=toad (that poor greek courtesan. how very rude), Tav=musical note (ironic considering she is not musical in the slightest and shouldn't ever be given an instrument). Named because I had just finished watching Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears. Tav is the default custom name in Baldur's Gate 3. I didn't choose it, just made it her last name instead XD

Fontaine Tav (Baldur's Gate 3): Fontaine=fountain/spring, Tav=musical note (once again, she is not musical. if you wanna hear her murder the lute be my guest). I have been entertaining Fontaine as a name since I saw Revenge of the Bridesmaids--the house was named Belle Fontaine and I loved that. Tav is the default custom name in Baldur's Gate 3. I didn't choose it, just made it her last name instead XD

Dasha Tav (Baldur's Gate 3): Dasha=Gift of God, Tav=musical note. I honestly thought I made Dasha up so this was a nice surprise. Tav is the default custom name in Baldur's Gate 3. I didn't choose it, just made it her last name instead XD

Favourite OC - Usually the one that talks the loudest at the time so it'd have to be Marlo Ryder or Y'vonne Vollay right now.

Newest OC - Phryne Tav, my Baldur's gate 3 Drow Cleric. I've been fiddling with a piece for her and Astarion for three years now. Maybe I'll actually finish it before the game comes out...

Oldest OC - That I write? Alyss Shepard she's been kicking around in my head since 2007. I have others from 2000/2002/2004 that have never seen the light of day but they're there.

Meanest OC - Seyla Vorre...which isn't putting the bar very high. Fuck with her she will murder you cold (or dream about it...Ffon and Harkin I'm looking at you) otherwise she's just sarcastic and a softie.

Softest OC - Yvette Harrington. Which is why she and Muriel end up together. She's kind and patient and understanding and helps him come out of his shell.

Most Aloof/Standoffish OC - Hetti of Lyria. She's a witcher, so suppressing her emotions, her monster hunting and mutations tend to make people ostracize her (until they have a monster problem and need a witcher's help of course 🙄)

Dumbest (affectionate) OC - Stelloc Merr mostly because she's been very sheltered, having been with the Jedi since she was 7. She learned some things on the street, sure but she was only a kid.

Smartest OC - Triya Dolyani aka Revan. She's always had a thirst for knowledge and the more she could learn the better

Horniest OC - It's a toss up between Alyss Shepard and Odessa Cousland. While Alyss can turn nearly anything sexual, Odessa has the higher count of notches in her bedpost.

Okay, so I commissioned the amazingly talented @mrnicholas once again but this time to draw my Warden Commander Queen Odessa Cousland-Theirin and let me just tell you she is absolutely breathtaking and I am pretty sure I'm dead. Between her pale green eyes and her rose AlyssAlenko.exe has stopped working. She even has the pendant she made (and had enchanted) with the petals from Alistair’s rose that she basically doesn't take off and is fully ready to seduce her husband into bed ;) Thank you so so much my darling you were an absolute pleasure to work with once again! You brought my vision to life in the best way and I am absolutely floored.❤❤❤❤❤
