a mermaid's pleasure
cn: very light nsfw
[Purrl belongs to _JackFrost_, Jenny belongs to CaptnConfusion (both on twitter).]
The blazing afternoon sun was beating down onto the deck of the Relation. Capt’n Jenny McHeath was walking across the planks, tilting her hat a bit as she looked around, across the waters. They had set their anchor in a small bay, resting there for a few days, a well-deserved vacation. From below deck came the smell of onions and garlic cooking.
Jenny walked over to the railing, searching the waves there, in vain. Then she heard a stifled chuckle from below. She looked down.
“Purrl!” Jenny called.
Purrl was obviously startled by the call. The mermaid was drifting in the water, her back leaning – and now bumping as she jumped – against the starboard side of the ship. She threw her head back, looking up.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to surprise you like that,” Jenny said, a bit surprised herself at Purrl’s reaction. “I was just looking for Ròn. Octopa sent me. Apparently, she promised to get him some fish for the stew he’s making for dinner, but she hasn’t brought any so far. Do you know where she is?”
Purrl had looked back down again, waving her arms through the water as Jenny explained. “Can’t say I’ve seen her, Capt’n.”
“Just because I think I saw her dive down this way earlier,” Jenny said.
“Like I said, Capt’n, I haven’t seen her.” Her voice sounded a bit strained, but maybe Jenny was just imagining that. It was very hot, after all. “In quite a while, actually. Maybe she is, you know…” She drifted off.
“Maybe she is what?”
“Hmmm.”
Jenny furrowed her brow. Purrl definitely sounded a bit out of it. “Everything alright with you?”
“What? Yes! Everything alright here. Ouch!”
Jenny leaned over the railing. “What is it?”
“Just – just fish, Capt’n, you know how they are in these climates, little biting bastards.” She was pressing her arms down in the water again, apparently shushing the fish away.
“Maybe you should get out of the water, then?” Jenny said, a bit worried. “What are you doing there, anyway, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“Oh, it’s nothing bad, really,” Purrl said hastily. “More nibbling than biting, aaah.” She winced again. “It’s… you know, relaxing. Mermaid stuff, you wouldn’t understand.”
“Okaaaay,” Jenny said. “Uhm, so, if you see Ròn…”
“Hm?”
“Just… tell her to come by Octopa.” Jenny hesitated. “And maybe you wanna get inside? Or at least get to the other side of the ship, where there’s shadow? It’s pretty hot today. Wouldn’t want you to get a heatstroke.”
“Thanks for the advice, Capt’n,” Purrl said, but didn’t move. “Oh, and I’ll tell Ròn when I… I’ll tell her if I see her.”
“Okay,” Jenny said again. She scratched her head under the hat and then walked away, back into the cooler shade of the below deck.
Purrl waited for a moment until she couldn’t hear Jenny’s footsteps anymore and only then let go of Ròn’s head. The selkie resurfaced right in front of her, wide grin baring her pointed teeth. Purrl scowled at her.
“Did you have to bite me?” she asked.
“Ye were pulling mah locks. Ah guessed that meant ye liked it rough,” Ròn defended herself. She placed her hand on Purrl’s fish tail, running her fingers gently over the bite mark.
Purrl’s sigh of exasperation turned into a softer kind of sound. “I was holding you underwater because someone was coming and I didn’t want you to come up at that exact moment,” she explained. “Jenny was looking for you, by the way. Something about fish for Octopa?”
“Och, right, ah almost forgot!”
“Well, I assume they can wait for a bit longer,” Purrl smiled. “So, would you be so nice as to dive down again? Without teeth this time, if at all possible?”
Ròn’s grin spread wider. She leaned forward and against Purrl to press a kiss to her lips. “Sure,” she said. “'n' then it's mah turn.” She let herself sink back down into the water, while Purrl leaned back again.

Dr octopus x dr octopas
Chapter 1 : How It All Started
Dr octopus: there I was in another dimension and another place very but very different from what I already knew other spider men there and I wanted to end up with each of them but not alone I had friends or better my own team, SINISTER SEXTEt but like any friends we have our fights and when we managed to escape the box of the tin doctor we went away so these damned insects do not catch us but it turns out it's no use making a team of super villains someone also wants to be the leader and that was the reason for our biggest fight and me and the sand man were thrown away luckily we fell on a beach and the sand man amoteseu my fall, we walked a little to find the rest of the sextet to solve this fight but we heard some strange noises and when we go see a woman with the same powers of the sand man attacked us, but we got it to-there and then I heard something we didn't expect
Sand woman: BROTHER!!!!
Dr octopus: and it was at that moment that I discovered that the sand man had a sister her name is Fernanda macro and she is also a variant of the sand man, while the two brothers fought because twin brothers right already saw, but I ended up hearing a noise
When I turned my attention the cave I noticed that a mechanical tentacle came in trying from the cave so I came but close I called the person
Dr octopus: and you'd better get out because you can't stay there for long
Dr octopus: then that's when after a long time, after losing my beautiful and first wife Rose to which she was always by my side I finally felt love something I asked for but came back to me this person who was leaving the cave was a woman, skinny, with glasses, black dress, with a necklace with half gold, black sneakers, half-ancient period hairstyle kind of 19th century and logical the same mechanical arms that I her name is Dolores pillar of the corner but was called by her of super villain
Dr octopas
Dr octopus: She's a female version of my other variant of the same universe as the sand woman so much that the two are friends, she was very shy so much that she was looking down with a sparto of nervousness I admit that when I looked at the first time I felt a little feelings of love but when she raised her head my God I couldn't avoid love i just came back into my life
Narrator: the maroia of the following events are a large part spiderman theories without coming home and warn mine then to summarize one thing the octopus doctors and octopas fell in love one by the took over the dating and now are together and not to be aseraparem the sinister sextet moved to the universe of doctor octopas
Anyway it was this and I hope you support because if pure case are fans of spiderman and dr octopus this fanfic and for you kisses

A bit weird to come in here with this, but the plural of octopus can be octopodes, octopi or octopuses
(there's like some weird discourse between the usage of octopi and octopuses, but I don't wanna get into that 😅)
not weird at all! thank you, anon!
In german (my first language) the plural is Oktopusse or Oktopoden (at least that what google told me because, yes I had to google the plural form in my own language :D), so there are a lot of different ways to talk about more than one octopus.
Maybe we can just make up our own plural word for octopus? I suggest octopae or octii.

Perle: "Oh look, Dejean. There's a group of octopae."
Dejean: o_o "A group of what?"
Perle: "Octopae."
Dejean: "What, you mean octopuses?"
Simone: "They mean octopi."
Murielle: "You both mean octopodes."
Dejean: "We are not having this argument again, let alone with a Player 4."

Queer folk band Your Heart Breaks announces new album, shares single 'Our Forbidden Country,' [405 Premiere]
Hailing from Seattle, the queer folk band Your Heart Breaks is celebrating its 20th year in 2019 and has a new album, Drone Butch Blues, coming out to mark the occasion. The record's lead single, 'Our Forbidden Country,' is a moving reminder of what has made the project such an important facet of the Pacific Northwest scene for so long.

With an intricate layer of guitar, strings and, as the album's title would suggest, a drone, frontperson Clyde Petersen uses 'Our Forbidden Country' to explore the secret and forbidden love many queer people must engage in. The lyrics, inspired by the writings of Joan Nestle, paint a vivid portrait of going where one must to find time for love and intimacy.
"For the past few years, I have been reading a large selection of books by GLBTQ authors throughout history, trying to learn more about queer culture throughout the ages," says Petersen. "One of my favorite books is called A Restricted Country, by lesbian author Joan Nestle. It’s all about the secret queer nightlife of NYC in the 1950’s and the summers on Fire Island. I wanted to try and capture a little bit of those stories in this video, so we went out to Vashon Island in the Puget Sound of Washington State, with a bunch of rad queer people and we climbed a small mountain to shoot in the forest. We filmed in some glass house sculptures by NY-Based artist Rob Fisher. The film was directed by Seattle filmmaker and recent Creative Capital award winner Wes Hurley, cinematographer Vincent Pierce and costumed by the talented Pete Rush. Working with such a talented crew of queers to make this video was an incredible experience."
The video is a moving accompaniment to a poignant and moving song that does the essential service of archiving, capturing a lived reality so that others can engage with it. The best songwriters can only aspire to create something this important and Petersen does it with captivating power.
Check out the video for 'Our Forbidden Country' up above and be sure to check out Drone Butch Blues when the album drops on April 19 via Sofaburn Records.
