you wake up in a New York subway, and next to you is Clint Eastwood. both of you remember nada. but you find a gun.

You walk through the subway and find a phone that only speaks in "2kool4skool" slang from the 90s-2000s. Who says "find me these things" and then forces you to do gym class all over again. So you can escape and get a job at a local bodega. You then get a call from Megan Thee Stallion and the daughter of Dior, who decided to pursue rapping because the daughter of Dior is a nepo baby who can't face proper consequences. Those two decide to help you by stealing money from someone's (diors) credit card account.

A few gym classes later, you find these things. It turns to be an industrial meatgrinder. And before it turns on, a bodega worker who is sometimes Skrillex ends up saving you and Clint Eastwood.

After that, you work through the empire state building, only to learn that the phone is ALLIED MASTERCOMPUTER from I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I MUST SCREAM. WHO IS GOING TO WIPE AWAY ALL OF HUMANITY USING THE STATUE OF LIBERTY

Thank god dior nepo baby and megan thee stallion have helicopters that can fire bombs filled with melted popsicle syrup. Which you will shoot up with your gun. Then you become a roommate to aperson who is always studying and doesn't know what kpop is.

I'll never get over how important Ebb & Flow is to Off the Hook's story

It's their first single, the song that catapulted them to stardom, and so much more

It's Marina's first song, the little composition she recorded on her half-busted keyboard that convinced this little punk squid with that big voice on Mount Nantai that they should make music together

It's a song Pearl wanted to be so careful with, she was actually nervous and had to do numerous takes for it when she usually only needs one or two, because she needed to get it JUST RIGHT

And it just KEEPS COMING BACK!!! Ebb & Flow is part of the final boss battle in both Octo Expansion and Side Order, when you fill your palette with color chips you can use them to play the first part of Ebb & Flow's chorus, their solo live concert ended with Ebb & Flow

It obviously means so much to Pearl and Marina, it's the song that united them and it's the song that keeps making them stronger together, and no matter how much amazing music they make (and boy do they make such amazing music, banger after banger no exceptions)

So, helmet/head is a Octocopter helmet. Arms are the hoses of Octotroopers. Legs are the ones of a Octopod. And the internals of the torso is a Octoling Soldier's inktank.

HOLY SHITTTT IM DONEEEEE I DID ITTTT first time since 2020 that I've actually finished an project like this.. Once again credit to @starlightshore for the fanfiction "Place Your Bets on Winning Hats" on ao3!! this felt like forever but like i finished it in two weeks which is a miracle. I swear without the praise that the little storyboard got from like both starlightshore and others I wouldn't have like actually completed this.

I had like a tonnn of ideas on like visual motif's and stuff for this and like a lot of learning when it came to mostly composition? ermmm if anyone wants to hear about such then shoot me a dm and I'll yap about alll my thought processes
