Big OC Asks Lists

What are their favorite kinds of flavors– Sweet, salty, sour, spicy, creamy, et cetera? She has a fairly decent spice tolerance so she likes spicy food, however Torethian spice isn’t necessarily ‘hot’ spice, a lot of stuff is like delicately and complexly spiced, she does like sweet stuff as well but hasn’t got as much of a sweet tooth as you’d think but enjoys fruity foods and drinks, on Toreth cocoa (Or whatever the sw equivalent is) is actually often served/processed more ���dark’ so it a bit more bitter, she also really likes ginger (Or whatever the sw version is) as that’s a pretty common flavouring back home. She’s generally not that picky as a whole anyway so she’s generally happy to try out most foods.

Do they have any eating requirements or preferences? Allergies, vegetarian, organic-only, religious restrictions… Nope. She’s generally not that picky of a an eater, only thing close is she can get snobby over curry if somewhere claims to be making ‘Torethian Style’ stuff because people seldom get it right. Also she can be a bit picky wrt to tea because there’s certain fancy teas that are meant to be brewed in a certain way (Blooming Teas and stuff similar to green tea) so if she ever saw that done wrong it would physically pain her.

Are they vegan/vegetarian (if their overall culture/species generally aren’t)? If so, why? Do they think animal products are wrong in all circumstances? She’s not either. Vegetarism/Veganism wouldn’t have stood out that much on her home planet tbh, the area she came from is near the spaceport so it’s a bit of a melting plot so you know many cultures, many species everyone with different needs.

How often do they cook? Do they order out a lot? Pre ranch life when she was living the smuggler/pilot life likely had more than her fair share of ‘bung it in the microwave’ and snack food and a decent amount of times spent with takeout. Ranch life involves a lot more home cooking and fairly regular visits to Flo’s.

Are they a good cook? She’s a decent cook generally, like she can feed herself and when inclined make a pretty good curry and a few other things here and there, she gets better over time especially when living on the ranch since yeah she has more time to devote to cooking fun 

Could they eat the same thing they enjoy over and over and not get bored of it quickly? She’d probably be able to do that for a short while but would want a change.

Alright! :D Round two. ^^;; 11.  Booksand/or authors who influenced you the most. Well...it’s not the easiest to pinpoint exact influences as I read a LOT when i was younger so there are probably a lot of books that have influenced me but I don’t remember them because it’s been so long... But in the case of top favorites as influences---Probably the most influential in my life has been The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. There was soooo much I took away from that series. So. Much.Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones is a near and dear classic and I love it.The Joust Series by Mercedes Lackey is also a dear favorite I read often. ^^;;There’s also the Chronicles of Fiarah by K.L. Morgan which was an early influence on me. As well as the Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffman which was also an early influence.And then there’s Brandon Sanderson, an author I admire greatly because he can write anything and everything and ah. So much talent right there. Love all his books. 

18.  Ifyou could collaborate with anyone, who would it be, and what would you writeabout?:S ummm....I honestly don’t know. I tend to like to do my own thing, so the thought of collaborating with someone is difficult to process as I tend to like specific authors for their writing style, and their writing style is often pretty different from mine.... Soo...authors....possibly Mercedes Lackey. I’d love to do another Jouster esque type of story. (The Joust series is basically Egypt at war but instead of horses or camels people fight on Dragons) So it might be fun to take that concept and shift it to another country and play with it there. Maybe do a series based in an “Italy” type of country and use dragons there. Like...can you imagine. Dragons helping to build the coliseum or being fought in it? The greek gods bestowing dragons upon worthy warriors or healers or mages and...ah. Now I really want to write it. ^^;; As for FanFic authors. I have two that I admire a lot and love their writing styles. For DCMK I would want to collab  with @mintchocolateleaves and would probably want to write some sort of clash of realities. Like maybe Kaito and Kudo have their lives temporary switched. Or even Have Hattori and Kaito switch lives. That would be fun. ^^;;For Sanders Sides, I think it would be fun to collab with @random-snippets. And maybe write a ‘lost in the real world’ sort of scenario involving Virgil and Logan trying to find their way back to a ‘home’ they’re not even sure they’re wanted at. 

21.  Whois/are your favourite character(s) to write? Hmm for DCMK I like Hakuba. He’s not as fleshed out as the other DCMK characters in the world, so I feel a bit more freedom in writing him. For Sanders sides I really like writing Logan as a POV perspective. I also like writing Virgil but not from his perspective. Like...some characters are just interesting to write when you have no idea what they’re thinking. ^^;; In DCMK that would totally be Kaito btw. 

27.  Favouriteline/scene

This is constantly changing, but currently it’s probably from A Sweet Discovery which I love that whole story so it’s soooo hard to pick just one scene but there’s this moment: Logan stuck out his tongue, recovering his balance quickly. “I have Jelly, grumpyface.” He stated, holding it out, quietly pleased to see Anxiety go still. Had he surprised him? Good. “I be nice and try some with you. So you be happy. And if I don’t like it, which I won’t! You will be nice and make me sweets, so I be happy. Kay?”

Anxiety stared at Logan, his expression unreadable as he lowered himself into a crouch searching Logan’s eyes.

Logan raised an eyebrow, not breaking eye contact. “Kay?” He repeated tilting the jelly back and forth in front of Anxiety’s face. 

Ahhh ^^;; I just love Logan’s voice in my head during that whole fic. It never fails to cheer me up. ^^;; 30.  Favouriteidea you haven’t started on yetAlready answered this for Sanders Sides. ^^;;But for DCMK it’s an idea where the Black Organization kidnaps both Kaito and Shinichi and administers a memory wiping drug to them, only Kaito and Shinichi rebel against the BO and end up becoming...kinda like vigilantes. 

40. Sharesome backstory for one of your characters. 

One of mine? :S Ummm....let’s see. *thinks frantically* I have an OC who wakes up  as half vampire/half werewolf with no memory of his past. His backstory is that he lived in a small city along the Canada/U.S. Border and that town ended up getting caught in the middle of a “Civil War” that was happening between the vampires and werewolves. Everyone in the town either a) died to fuel the war or b) was turned to help fight in the war. This OC had the ‘luck’ to be bitten at the exact same time by both a werewolf and a vampire, and instead of dying -as a werewolf’s bite will kill a vampire or one bitten by a vampire and a vampire’s bite will kill a werewolf or one bitten by a werewolf- he ends up surviving the turning process for both types of bites. 

44.  Howmuch research do you do?

Depends on the story I’m working on.For some fics it’s a lot. Especially if I’m basing it around a specific episode/sequence/movie. I’m constantly rewatching the episode(s)/Movie(s), searching for specific scenes to make sure I’m describing the right clothing, or making sure the phrase I remember is the phrase I’m stating, or making sure the timing of things works out. I also rewatch episodes to see if I can create connections or build deeper meaning from a tiny scene into my story. I also do random google searches as thoughts come to me to make sure what I think I know I actually know and I’m not making up. A recent one of this was looking up different type of bird wings to see what sort of flying abilities the characters would have since their wings are different sizes and shapes. 

49.  Whichcharacter would you most want to be friends with, if they were real?  I already answered this as well. But let’s go...with Books this time. I would want to be friends with Toreth and Kaleth (twins) from the book Alta (2nd book in The Joust series) as those two have a ton of plans and creative ways to bring those plans to pass, even if it won’t happen for years.

Where Axi grew up, Toreth there’s a form of blooming tea there that’s considered quite a delicacy/novelty, one of Axi’s first haulage jobs that was actually 100 percent totally legitimate haulage (she didn’t jump right into the smuggler game) was working for a teamaker and making deliveries of these to Alderaan

It paid pretty well (at least to like a 17 year old), was a pretty easy route and she got to hook up with some cuties when doing her deliveries which kinda offset it was a bit of a dull job

Why You Love Them: Cause they’re my children. Ok Axi has been around for quite a while now and like I’ve done so much with her and developed her, and well like she’s like my highly driven ‘want to help everyone’ and Gev well he’s just so boundlessly gentle and kind
