CROSSOVER INCOMING: How would Mattie and my beloved Wilbur Prewett (Gideon's son, cousin of the Weasleys) get along? He's canonically deaf, so all the Weasleys know sign language in fluctuating fluency

Mattie would definitely learn to sign from the Weasleys and work pretty hard to get fluent. She probably wouldn't be the most fluent, but she'd ask him for slang and talk shit about other people at school and whichever Weasley child is annoying them most at the present.

I think Wilbur might be a little overwhelmed by Mattie sometimes especially because when she gets overexcited, she talks as she signs and her signing gets lazy and "slurred."

If anyone so much as thought about picking on him for being deaf or gay, Merlin help them. Mattie would kick their ass and ruin their life.

Nadine takes after Gerard in that she is incredibly manipulative

So when Allison is being all "I'm not a girly girl, I don't cry," Nadine laughs

"Don't apologize for it; weaponize it."

She's very hard on Allison when it comes to training because she's the next generation of hunter, and will be the family successor.

But she also will be incredibly soft in all other aspects of their relationship (basically anything that doesn't involve hunting).
