My Shepard and Ryder are by nationality (and ethnicity in terms of my Ryder) South African.

Jane Shepard is Earthborn and lived in South Africa. Her first language is Afrikaans but quickly picked up English when she joined the Alliance Military, hence why her accent is American.

Sera (player character) and Scott's race are Coloured (not a slur in my country), an officially recognized racial and cultural identity in South Africa that consists of people with mixed white and African heritage (both are also fluent in Afrikaans)

(Ignore Sara's hair texture Andromeda doesn't have decent afro textured hairstyles)

Just thought it would be nice for the Mass Effect Games to include a bit of my home country, even if we are a mess

I made an impulsive decision and started playing Mass Effect: Andromeda and my Ryder,

Seraphina was 100% a papa's girl despite how strict he was with them, but following he's death, she stresses for her twin like no other and checks on Scott several times throughout the day when she isn't on missions.

She was the quiet twin until the role of Pathfinder was pushed into her hands and often feels like she's alone without Scott to be there.

I think "Eric has an identity crisis" is the first time I really played with how young Ryder is.

Noah is in my mind so much more fluid and easy breezy yet simultaneously fixed. I think he might have went through more of a crisis when he was a teen as far as what kind of person he is vs what he's expected to be (gnc).

Whereas I think as a teen. Eric thought he had it all figured out, thought he knew exactly what kind of man he wanted to be and he had to fight a bit to be it, and later he comes to realize he was stifling himself a bit in a rush to escape how he was.

Title: From Scorched Earth, a Phoenix Rises, Chapter 10

El Paso, Texas, 2024

Danny and Steve hit the ground in El Paso and are immediately on the hunt. The smell of aviation fuel and scorched rubber burns Steve’s nostrils as he inhales instinctively, looking for the soft scent he picked up from the scent pack Athena Grant had provided him so he could track Christopher. 

They’re met on the tarmac by several Texas Rangers, all of which are bonded sentinels and include the man Steve had reached out to earlier—Major Alec Ryder.

“There was an empathic event in one of our suburbs,” a grizzled older sentinel informs them. “About three and a half hours ago. We’re working on locating the epicenter, but we’re having to go house to house.”

Danny’s eyes are ice blue as they flash to Steve’s. “Babe, what do you want to bet we got an upset baby guide that just came online?”

“No bet,” Steve growls and gives the address for the Diaz grandparents.
