There's her club, obviously. Which is exactly what it seems: a big, heavy, pointy object. You can smash things with it. Simple.

Then there's her gauntlets, of course. I've already shown this in a couple drawings, but the gauntlets aren't just for punching hard or giving her bigger hands. The palms can release blasts that serve to repel enemies or boost her. Her boots can do this too, to let her jump high or pivot quickly while wielding her heavy club. She's surprisingly mobile like that even if her wings can't quite carry the weight of her and her club together. She can also still access her dimensional storage while she wears them. (Handy to summon/put her club away quickly or switch weapons on the fly!) The pointer fingers also have the ability to shoot laser blasts. They can only do this when she makes a finger gun gesture, though. That way she can never shoot herself in the hand, just like she has to spread her hands fully to make the palm blasts. By the way, her actual hands are entirely inside the palm area, so her fingers are not inside the gauntlets fingers. Those are solid and entirely mechanical. She operates the gauntlets by pressing sensors inside the palm that correspond to each finger. They are pressure sensitive and give feedback to some extent, so with practice she can bend her gauntlet's fingers exactly as far with exactly as much force as she wants. (So she can actually grab and hold things instead of crushing everything instantly.) Would she name her gauntlets? You know what? She probably does have matching nicknames for them. I haven't come up with anything funny yet, though.

I know it's technically not a weapon, but now that I'm busy talking about her armour I might as well mention her helmet. Olympea, being mothlike, has antennae that give her an excellent sense of smell (for a couple highly specific things). The red parts on top of the 'horns' let air pass through to her antennae inside, which means she's still able to use this even when wearing her helmet. It also leaves space at the back for her wings to move.

Aaaah! Coming up with a café food was so difficult! I didn't want to reach for the silly pea soup or club sandwich option again.

Anyway, enter the Mumbo-Jumbo Ice Cream Dream Combo! Made with raspberry, mango, matcha and smurf blue moon ice cream scoops arranged in a row and topped with respectively a galette and ruby chocolate roll, caramel shards and dark cherry, rock candy and lady finger, and salty liquorice rope and toasted mini marshmallows.

⚙️ (Gear) - Do they have any knowledge of, or connections to, the Ancients? What do they think of them?

Considering she lived on Halcandra, which I treat as the main hub of the Ancients before they fell apart into science and magic factions, you bet she does! I actually pepper what little dialogue I've given her with some Jambandran words. Of course, during the period where she was alive and well that wasn't quite Jambandran yet. That didn't come until after the schism, when the magic faction in hiding retained that dialect and the science faction changed until it was no longer recognisable.

But what does she think of them? Well, they're her people and she's one of their heroes, so she wants to keep them safe! She is not good at magic, so she leans towards the science (well, technology and gadgets) side. But just because she isn't very magically gifted doesn't mean she dislikes magic and magic users. If she knew how the tensions between the two camps would grow it would bother her very much.

🍰 Some fake Kouko collab cafe dishes! More info and explanations under the cut! 💚

I've watched Emirichu for quite literally years, and (not so) recently she's started posting Anime Collab Cafe content! Safe to say I'm a tad obsessed LMAO I've been in love with Dungeon Meshi for a while, so seeing that there was a Collab Cafe for that made me lose my MIND over how much love and care was put into it! o(≧▽≦)o

HOWEVER. It reminded me that there was actually an Inuyasha Collab Cafe made a while back! And as a person who loves food and seeing what stuff collab cafes come up with, I figured why not make my own hypothetical drink and dishes! I've never seen anyone else do this with an OC, but I thought it would be a blast! It was wonderful practice to try and draw more semi-realistic food! („• ᴗ •„)

I tried to mimic how the menus I saw for the official Inuyasha collab cafe while adding my own little style, and I think it turned out pretty nice!

So here they are!

Kouko's lavender and blackberry milk tea, The Lover's Stew, and the Loyal Steed cheesecake!

I wanted a drink, a savory food, and a dessert, and I had just the idea for all of them!

🧋 - Kouko's drink is a lavender and blackberry flavored Milk tea! It has a pleasant ombre from a light blue down to a dark indigo because of blackberry boba pearls!

I also noticed that some of the drinks had these paper bits wrapped around the center, and that lent itself perfectly to Kouko's waist scarf, so of course that's in there! I gave her a unique glass shape, that tapers out from the middle to be wider at the top, to reference Kouko's build being more top-heavy and muscular, because I thought that might be a really cute detail. ( ´ ꒳ ` )

I could go on for hours about each aspect and why I added the specific flavors, but I won't yap on for too long, we still have two dishes to talk about!

🍲 - Naturally, the best idea for the savory dish was the stew that Kouko gave to Inuyasha that kicked off them becoming friends! (Foreshadowing for my next planned art piece? 👀)

I usually describe it as a soup, but honestly, I think it's way more fitting that it'd be a stew! (And yes, there's a difference LMAO) So the lover's stew would be a hearty beef and potato stew! Not entirely canon-accurate to the story, but it'd undeniably be tasty. It's the thought that counts. It's something simple, but really warm and filling!

I referenced the Tentacle & Kelpie Stew from Dungeon Meshi to get the nice warm energy I wanted, since all the food art in that show is gorgeous and makes you feel such emotion by just looking at it, and I really do think it turned out beautiful!

🍰 - And last but not least the Loyal Steed Cheesecake! You KNOW I had to add something with Aiko and Kouko, since her horse is so important to her, even if I don't draw them together often, because horses are absolute nightmares to draw LMAO

I will admit, this was the hardest one to do! (¯▿¯')

I had had a pretty easy time with the other two, but I flip flopped a lot with the cheesecake. I went from a peach cheesecake to try and get a sunset ombre effect, to a matcha one with a wafer of her and Aiko stood on top to look like she's on a nice cliffside, before settling on the blue and green one with what's probably a chocolate or wafer in the shape of her riding Aiko on it, so look like they're walking along some scenery! The little whipped cream dollops on the top could be seen as clouds, which is really cute, to me. ( = ⩊ = )

My biggest idea was the cute plate layout, with the small cocoa dust hoofprints leading to the slice, which I just couldn't get rid of!

Also, this is one of the only times you'll be seeing Kouko in anything resembling a maid dress. I decided to put her in a cute frilly apron over a sleeveless version of her kimono outfit! (Because if the guns aren't out, what are we doing? LMAO)

what my ocs would order at a milk tea place

usually I'd put stuff like this in my notes but notes is temporary, digital footprint is forever

Orion- lemon/rose/honey or any combination of the three. Honestly whatever is flowery and fruity enough to make it clear that he is Not Straight

Tristan- he really likes strawberry but if he's around other people who aren't Orion he orders green tea or something else that isn't very sweet so people know he's Serious (<- untrue)

Atlas- taro is his go to but he likes to change it every time unless he hasn't been to the place before. He also always gets two orders of Boba and if questions pretends that his finger slipped and does absolutely nothing about it

Alex- matcha or another type of non fruity/non sweet tea with no boba ever because it surprises and confuses him and he firmly believes that you should not have to chew drinks

Lee- he changes it literally every single time, but he tends to gravitate towards stronger flavors. He also usually gets popping Boba and since it's relatively clear has tricked Alex (who should be wearing glasses probably) into drinking it and being Very confused and mildly distressed.

Athena- cold coffee or heated chocolate, usually with no boba but will make exceptions. Goes between 100% sugar and 0% sugar with seemingly no reason. Her cold coffee usually ends up being warm coffee due to her being like 15% god or whatever.

Angel- everyone would assume he gets matcha or oolong or green tea or something like that but he always without fail gets mango. He doesn't even like real mangoes that much, it's specifically the milk tea flavor.

Essie- Thai or taro if they don't have Thai. Always gets seasonal flavors even if they genuinely just don't look appetizing. Obsessed with matching everyone's straw color to their drink, not because he posts it anywhere just cause if they don't they'll be sad

Vince- he always gets jasmine because it's pretty neutral and everyone at the very least enjoys it and he will always trade with anyone who doesn't like theire
