Background

Mari was born on Melody to Musa Lang and grew up loving music and dancing just as much as her mother, along with gaining an interest in fashion. She and Yuma would often play with each other when they were little whenever their mothers visited each other, causing them to be close friends. After Yuma's parents disappeared, they began seeing each other less. Then, one day (during early S1), Mari decided to go pay her old friend a visit. The two instantly reconnected and rekindled their friendship. She ended up getting semi-roped into Yuma and Astral's whole thing with the Numbers, not that she minded much ("Whooo!! Some adventure!!").

Yuma introduced her to some of his new friends, including Kikyo, the witch of water, who she instantly fell for and started a relationship with when she found out she felt the same way.

Personality

Mari is a kind, upbeat, and bubbly girl who enjoys having fun with people and making them happy. That being said, she's also tough and not afraid to speak her mind, and she will not hesitate to slap someone if they're being a pr/ck, especially if they're being mean to those she cares about.

Singing: Has a very good singing voice. She learned from her mother

Music: Other than singing, she's also good with a few instruments, namely guitar and flute

Wusstet ihr, dass man Dinge tatsächlich aufschreiben muss, um sie auf tumblr zu posten? Das hatte ich irgendwie vergessen in letzter Zeit. Jetzt ist mein Hirn aber wieder benutzbar, und ich beantworte endlich mal Zeug!

Das hier zuerst, wobei ich tatsächlich überlegen musste wovon ich eigentlich reden will, weil so viel Kram in meinem Hirn schwirrt. :D Konnte mich dann aber entscheiden!

Kennt ihr diese Oktober-Writing-Challenges? Jeden Tag gibt es einen Prompt, und man schreibt irgendwas dazu, egal was, hauptsache schreiben? Ich dachte mir dieses Jahr: ja, das will ich machen, dieser zusätzliche Druck wird mir definitiv gut tun!

Wollte dann aber nicht meine bereits existenten Charaktere neben...dann ist mir dieser tumblr-post auf pinterest über den Weg gelaufen...

...und irgendwie hat sich alles sehr schnell verselbstständigt.

Ich wollte eigentlich nur 'ne kleine Romanze schreiben, mich ein bisschen aus meiner comfort zone bewegen. Aus der kleinen Romanze wurden dann irgendwie Soldaten in irgendeinem (nicht näher benannten) historischen Krieg, und aus denen wurden dann irgendwann Gottheiten. Ja, ich weiß ja auch nicht - aber ich weiß dass ich nicht an Mary Sues glaube. Ich hab' Spaß, ja?

Enter Yíbào und Shíhán, die in ihren sterblichen Leben auch irgendwann mal normale Namen hatten, die nicht auf einem Idiom basieren (und nicht Brutalität und Kälte versprechen), welche allerdings unter Sterblichen schon lange vergessen sind. Kriegsgott und Göttin des Bogenschießens, nur dass sich Shíhán es mit den anderen Göttern verspaßt hat, und jetzt wieder auf der Erde rumschlurft. Suckt ein bisschen, aber das kriegt sie auch noch hin.

Ja, wie kommt's zur connection? Yíbào war zu Lebzeiten eiskalter Kriegsstratege, und allgemein irgendwie bekannt dafür sich nicht wirklich für seine Soldaten zu interessieren. Alles seine Schachfiguren, alle nur so wichtig wie sie nützlich sind. Ganz netter Kerl. Shíhán war in den Augen der Leute damals hauptsächlich eine Frau und nicht viel mehr, aber um Himmels Willen konnte sie gut mit dem Bogen umgehen. Fand' Yíbào ganz toll (naja, so toll wie Mr. "Empathie und Gefühle hat sich irgendein Philosoph nur ausgedacht" irgendetwas finden kann), und hat beschlossen dass sie unfassbar nützlich ist. Wie wär's mit ein bisschen den Feind mit Pfeilen befeuern? (Fand' Shíhán eine gute Idee!)

Yíbào hat eine wichtige Schlacht gewonnen und hoppsala, Kriegsgott isser. Einfach puff und weg. Shíhán fand' das echt gar nicht witzig, sie hat den Eisklotz ja doch irgendwie liebgewonnen (warum kann sie auch nicht sagen, aber sie hat in Yíbào doch ein paar menschliche Züge gesehen), und jetzt lässt er sie einfach alleine? Frechheit. Natürlich kriegt sie als Frau auch kein Lob ab wenn's um den Kriegsausgang geht, und das macht sie nur noch wütender.

Könnt ihr raten wie's läuft, wenn sie sich dann doch nach über fünf weiteren Jahren auch zur Gottheit hochkämpft? Wie war das mit Romanze? Wie war das mit dem roten Faden? Wer sagt eigentlich, dass Soulmates immer harmonisch zusammenleben müssen? Warum kann Shíhán den Bastard von Mann nicht einfach hassen, weil Empathie für ihn ein Fremdwort ist, er wirklich ein wenig zu gerne Kriegsgott ist, und ein wenig zu zufrieden damit ist, dass seine Anhänger eine Todesangst vor ihm haben?

...ja, vielleicht mag Yíbào sie ja doch irgendwie, auch wenn er's nicht einordnen kann. Nicht, dass Shíhán das irgendwie interessieren würde! Ganz sicher nicht! Sie hasst den Mann! (Hat er ihr wirklich etwas getan? Eigentlich nicht. Aber in ihren Augen hat er sie alleine gelassen, das ist schlimm genug. Communication? What's communication?)

sind das noch red flags? werden die schon zu black flags? disqualification due to outside help? Doesn't matter, immerhin schlurft Shíhán mit ihrem Hitzkopf ja mittlerweile wieder auf der Erde rum!

...

...wehrt Yíbào sich deshalb nicht, wenn die anderen Götter ihn auch irgendwann "runterschubsen" weil sie irgendwie ein bisschen Angst vor ihm haben? So (wenn man ihn fragt) ohne Grund, nur aus Paranoia?

Das ist alles irgendwie den Oktober über komplett ausgeartet, ich konnte mich nicht wehren. Mein Hirn tut, was es tun will.

An idea sprung during weekends after I listened this song "Padaba Taka" by dwata. This is a sneak peak in which Godzilla and the other Titans (set after POTM and before GxK) find themselves transformed into humans after a mishap, then they got received a message to Ma. Celestina (Godzilla and Mothra's adopted human daughter and their Princess Astra II) about what happened. They got themselves adjust in human ways through difficulties and trials.

Ma. Celestina dragged her adopted Titan family to Mt. Mayon as a vacation and quality time. It is then Ma. Celestina secretly stole this photo by herself seeing Godzilla and Mothra happy just like the way they are in the pasts.

This song quite fits for my Mothzilla. 😍

An embrace was painful, and living beyond that—knowing that one has a second chance was even more painful. David didn’t want to be embraced. He didn’t want to become this, he’d much rather die in the fire than become whatever the Anarchs and the Camarilla thought him about to be.

His motorcycle set aside, and David is looking over the Pasig on the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge. He has a short while before he’s back on the run again, on the run from everything. The Camarilla, the Anarchs, and his fellow clanmates.

He wasn’t—in his own thoughts—meant to live this long.

How long has it been since his embrace? Seven years maybe. Maybe eight. Time passes by with no reason and David doesn’t care much about it anymore. He’s grown past being that kalye kid that they say keeps fighting. Maybe he’ll turn back to God if God listens. Maybe he’ll listen, the Father almighty is just like his own father. Powerful, neglectful, significant in the eyes of others. He’s been abandoned in more ways than one—

“Oks ka lang, pre?” You good, bro? Asks another voice that’s all too familiar. David almost flinches when a hand touches his back, resting near the back of his neck. It’s almost instict to fight or run.

“Marianne?” David looks up at her and there she is again. Marianne. Mary. Marie. Anne. Mars, as their classmates once called her from elementary to senior year of high school. She hated that nickname, it was “too overused” she frequently said.

“I’m May.” She sits down next to him on the edge of the bridge, her forearm resting on her knee and the other foot dangling off the bridge, her sandal seemingly about to fall into the river but it doesn’t.

“Why are you here?” David asks.

May looks at him, taking his red tinted glasses and the world is clear and bright again. Manila in the night. There was her again, wearing his glasses and had seemingly changed herself. She was different, but still so familiar.

“I heard you died. I didn’t want to miss your funeral, you know?” May replies back with. “I went there, they told us your body was burned. I cried a lot, I remember our math teacher from grade-ten was there. Sir Oscar, yata.” Sir Oscar, I think.

“Miss niya ako?” He misses me? David asks back in return. “Di ako naniniwala sa ‘yo.” I don’t believe you. David smiles. Of course he knows Sir Oscar.

Sir Oscar was always a good man. David couldn’t bring himself to visit the old man past his retirement. He didn’t want to bring chaos to an elderly man’s life, he had a wife and kids. Well, his kids were grown and were in different places. His wife was dead, the man was living in peace, close friends with the teachers he called his coworkers still.

“Of course he misses you, whenever no one was raising their arms he called you back then ‘cause he knew you’d always get the answers right.” May says. “I thought you died.”

“Well…” David looks at her.

Does he really want to tell her what he’s become? In an instant, he was in agony, sharp burning engulfing him whole. His arm, he remembers, felt so cold from the burning sensation that it hurt. He was a tough boy, everyone knew that. But at that moment, David cried. He felt tears as pain washed over him. He was not tough at that moment.

“I heard you were making a name for yourself.” May says. “Tondo made you their Baron.”

David’s eyes shoot up to her back from the black waters of the Pasig river in the night. She knew of Barons, she knew of the Anarchs, she knew of the Camarilla.

“Hm?” David asked back for her to clarify.

“I got embraced.” May said. “Gangrel, or however you say it.”

“Oh, right.” David nodded slowly.

Cars passed by behind them. Manila was glimmering as the lights from buildings seemed to twinkle like stars in their warm, golden lights. Some were cold lights, cold and harsh.

“I’m a…” David rolls his hand. “Brujah.”

May snorted. Then she laughed. They both laughed. David found himself laughing with her and suddenly they were high school students again coming back home after a long day of quizzes, shit-talking, and writing lecture after lecture in their notebooks.

“Mangkukulam?” A sorcerer? God, David wishes. It’s probably much better than feeling the urge to resolve everything with his fists.

“I wish.” David shakes his head. “That’s Tremere, I think.”

“Ah.” May clicks her tongue, tilting her head to the side. “How have you’ve been?”

“On the run, and stuff.” David says. “I don’t…”

He’s not sure. He doesn’t know why he doesn’t like kindred life. Everyone else seems different, like they’ve settled into this reality of theirs fairly easily and David, even with being crowned Baron of Tondo, he still doesn’t seem to know what he is or what he wants exactly. He doesn’t know what to do, he’s alone, he’s afraid. He knows those three facts all too well.

“I’m not sure.” David says.

“Ohhh….” May replies back with. “On the run, why? What happened? They didn’t tell me anything, they just told me they made you Baron of Tondo.”

“De Silva doesn’t have an official blood hunt on me yet but it’s clear she wants me dead.” He puts it simply. Crossing her path is a death sentence on its own.

The entirety of Manila is a Camarilla paradise. Every kindred coaxed into submission by the higher authority, forced into obedience through fear and lies. David is fighting a losing game, he knows that. Fighting against a city with monsters much older is a loss.

“But why are you still here?” May asks.

David thinks. Why is he even in Manila? Everything was without a label and yet everything was tying him down to Manila.

“I need to try.” David says. “Try and fight. I’m not going to let Prince de Silva have total control. I’m not gonna let her have that peace of mind.”

May looks at him through his red tinted glasses, before she rests her head on David’s shoulder. “I’ll join you. You don’t have to do it alone.”

I have had a horrible HP OC idea :DD

So the premise is a 6th year Ravenclaw, Elizabeth Clarke, student who's father, Dorian Clarke, works for MI6. It is the beginning of Harry Potters 4th year.

Now stay with me here because; Dorian works for MI6 he already knows about magic, because the Muggle/Magical government sometimes have to work together.

This is technically multifandom but you don't have to know anything about anything other than harry potter

Under the cut is a lot of info I have literally been thinking about this for 6 months. I have issues ;.;

So I headcannon that around the world, lots of other places are much more lax with the statute of secrecy. So when Dorian went and fought in Vietnam he was very violently introduced to magic, on his side and on the side of the Viet Cong.

So when his daughter is born and has magic, he goes to one of his magical coworkers and asks for advice. This coworker just so happens to be Kingsley Shackbolt. So he learns a whole lot about the magical world and gets an insight into magical politics. He also enlists Kingsley to help her with her magic and anything else Eliza may need.

When she was born, her mum, Marie, died in childbirth. This meant Dorian had to take a step back from the field and care for her. But when she is five, he meets her ma'.

Her ma, Nora, is a strong independent Irishwoman who was stuck in an abusive relationship with an armsdealer. In exchange for his death, she informed on him to the government, and that is where Nora and Dorian meet. He was her government contact. When her husband died, and she got a new identity, they kept in contact and fell in love.

She took to Elizabeth like she was her own daughter. The pair married when Elizabeth was eight, two years later. They had twins who are Elizabeth's half siblings, Sloane and William. They were born a year after the marriage when Elizabeth was nine.

During this time, Dorian has become renowned throughout the magical and muggle espionage worlds for his work.

Now onto the actual plot :DD

It starts in book 4 at the quidditch game. I would like it to be from Harry's perspective when he makes it to the top booth and sees the British Minister chatting with the Bulgarian Minister. So she comes into the booth wearing a Princess Diana esque outfit and the Bulgarian Minister is so happy to see her and starts chatting to her in Bulgarian.

Harry can't tell what she's saying but it's clear from her tone of voice she is making fun of the British Minister. No one picks up on this but him. She then introduces herself, and when Malfoy Sr. asks how she knows the Bulgarian Minister she tells him that it's classified lol. The Bulgarian Minister looses his shit with laughter.

Then the games begin and go how they went in cannon. At the end, the Bulgarian Minister convinces Elizabeth to come with him and meet the Bulgarian team.

Then when the Death Eaters attack and everyone runs into the forest they see her, perched in one of the trees with a HK33 assault rifle aimed at the Death Eaters. She is ready to obliterate them if they get too close.

Since she is still a minor, she is not yet allowed to use magic, so she has to make do with one of the guns her father/family taught her to shoot.

When the Death Eaters vanish and the Ministry Officials get there, she is still holding her gun. This is when the POV switches to her and her thought process is something along the lines of her hoping they don't ask to look into her bag so she doesn't have to show them the small arsenal her family gave her.

(Guns in her arsenal 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

She defends the trio and tells the ministry to talk to her lawyer, and tells them to fuck off. Then she goes home and promptly tells her father everything. Mysteriously, she is not contacted by the ministry again.

When she goes back to Hogwarts, she already knows about the TriWizzard Tournament. So she isn't shocked. Since her birthday was September 29, 1978 she could put her name in, but she is uninterested.

So when her name is called as the Hogwarts official champion, she is understandably pissed off. Still she goes back with the other champions, and decides to wait for the officials before reaming them out. When Harry Potter comes back and says he is a champion though, she really looses her shit.

Not at him though, at the adults. She starts raging and cursing and demanding to see the rule book. When she does confirm both her and Harry have to compete, she demands to keep a copy of the rule book. She promises Harry all the help she can give him, which prompts the other champions to do the same.

When she gets back to Ravenclaw tower, she stands on a table in the center of the room and makes an announcement. She tells her housemates that she is outsourcing the work of this tournament.

There will be a prize for anyone who can tell her, with proof, who put her name in the goblet, and who can tell her what the challenge is, and the best way to beat the challenge. She may not want this, but she will make the organizers regret not taking her out.

Flitwick gives her a look and she adds that if their schoolwork slips between now and them giving her the advice they would not be getting the prize. Then she goes to bed.

For the next few weeks she is getting intel about the first task, and filters the important bits to Harry and Harmione.

She also takes this time to snag Moody's flask. She's been around him since she was 6, she knew how he acts. And he never drinks around children. So she steals the flask and asks Snape to test it. When he does he finds out it is Polyjuice Potion.

Instantly she goes to the fire and calles Auntie Amy, who assembles some Aurors to go to Hogwarts. Elizabeth leads them to 'Moody's' classroom and they restrain him and find out who he is. After some (lightish) interrogation, BC Jr. gives up the location of Moody. Once he does, she gets him out.

Moody is proud of her, telling her, "I knew you would figure it out." before passing out. He is sent to St. Mungo's for treatment. Because he wasn't held long, he was able to come back and teach within the week.

It is classified, and no one knows about the switch. They just think that Moody got nicer and stopped drinking.

When Rita tries her BS she tells the cockroach "No comment, and if you put anything else in that paper about me I will sue you until you can't even get a job in Knockturn." and Harry follows suit because he knows a good idea when he sees one.

Eliza makes some pointed comments about "A grown woman wanting to go into a broom closet with a little boy isn't a good look now, is it?" and Rita completely backs off.

So on the day of the trial, she is prepared. When Harry draws the hardest dragon, she forces him to switch with her because he is a literal child. Then she goes out there and gets the egg.

When she gets back to the common room she outsources the second trial again with a similar speech.

When she completes the second task, she is furious because they took her muggle ma from her. She nearly kills Dumbledore for allowing this. Thankfully, her ma talks her down, and states that they can just sue instead when this was all over.

Everyone sweatdrops like they're in an anime.

When she learns she has to dance at the ball she is annoyed. When Harry says he has no one to go with, she offers to go with him as friends. They agree and have a good time.

When she finally gets to the maze, she is armed to the teeth. She summons her extendable bag from her dad, who is in the audience. It is filled with enough ammunitions to supply a small army. Once she slaughters her way to the cup, Harry makes it at the same time.

They both agree to grab it, and get transported to the graveyard. Voldemort orders her dead, but when the Killing Curse is shot at her, it only knocks her back. Her fathers old identity disks stopped it. She lays there stunned, waiting for the perfect moment to get up and kill the bastard, take Harry, and run.

Unfortunatly, Moldymort manages to finish the ritual before she gets up. Then he summons the Death Eaters, and she really has to pretend to be dead. Him and Harry duel, and while everyone is distracted, she slowly inches her way towards the Cup.

When she is in position, she lays down covering fire with one of her guns, hitting Death Eaters, and getting Voldemort in the heart. As the Death Eaters return fire and Harry runs towards her, she watches Voldemort stand back up, unhindered by her bullet. The same can not be said for the other Death Eaters who she has shot.

They grab the Cup and are whisked back to the Tournament. She still has her gun out, and doesn't let anyone approach until her dad comes and talks her down. When she tells him about Voldy, he gets quiet and murderous, before turning to Moody, who turns to Dumbledore.

Eliza, her family, and Harry, as well as Snape are ushered into Dumbledores office. When they demand to know why Voldy didn't die, Dumbles talks them in circles. When Eliza gets sick of it and starts shouting, he tells the truth about Horcruxes. Everyone is pissed.

Eliza then tells Harry that he would be staying with her and her family over the break, and he readily accepts. Dumbledore questions Harry's safety, but then Dorian lays out the nonmagical defenses he has set up at their mansion, and Moody chimes in with the magical defenses he set up. Safe to say, the questions about safety are unwarranted after their brief explanation.

Then she goes through the rest of the year like normal, never finding out who put her name in the Goblet of Fire. When she gets off the train, she and Harry walk to her family. There they are greeted with hugs.

On easter break she goes home and we get to see her interact with her terrifying uncles/aunts/grandparents. Even better if Harry/Ron/Harmione join in and are slightly horrified by how dangerous these people are lol

Eliza and her non-mgaical family play capture the flag but they use real tactics and gear with their paint guns. No magic and it kinda terrifies the magical people.

Napoleon has a bank vault in Gringotts for all his stolen things

Napoleon, Illiya, Hetty, and Harry (Hart) helped her pick out her Yule gown. Her parents are there of course, but they don't have the same passion for fashion that these spies have. They mostly sit there and give confused but supportive thumbs ups.

Merlin and Bond keep giving her new tech to try out at school to see how it interacts with magic.

Gabby and Sloane work on cars together.

Hetty, Nora, Helen, Gabby, and Amelia form a terrifying relationship that scares all men. Eliza and Sloane don't get what's so terrifying about them, and are slowly being indoctrinated by the scary women.

When the DA is made, Eliza finds them in the bar and scolds them for shitty spycraft, before pointing out the man listening in on them. She quickly moves them elsewhere, and becomes one of its core teachers. She teaches weapons, self defense, and espionage.

When they go and storm the Ministry Eliza kills Bellatrix before she can hurt Sirius because she used one of her guns.

When she met the Order of the Phoenix she was completely unimpressed with how they were running things, and taught them how to run a better resistance group. When they tried to shit on her for this, she tells them that her dad literally did this for a living for many years and she knows what she's talking about. She is also unimpressed that they only have one spy.

Eliza in her 7th year steals blood quills and sends them to her parents as proof of the abuse. It is halfway through the year when this happens. She got a detention for snoging George Weasley. Then she does international interviews about how the British Ministry is allowing this to happen, and circumventing Dumbledore. Umbridge is quickly fired. A revolving door of Aurors start teaching DADA.

Eliza roundhose kicks someone in the head and then John Cena elbow drops onto them in her second year because they called her a mudblood. She gets lots of detention but that was the last time anyone tried that, so she saw it as a win. So did her family. After all, in Hetty's wise words to her afterwards, "You can't negotiate with fascist bigots, dear. Better to just kill them instead."

She prefers riding horses to riding brooms (riding a thestral was the highlight of her year) and her ma owns a farm where they ride together because they are the only ones who really enjoy it. (The others will join if Nora asks, but only then).

She is Flitwick's favorite student. He tried to convince her to become a Prefect but she just laughed and told him she would switch schools if he tried to do that to her. (She was not joking and he knew it).

Maybe, her mum was not who she seemed to be, and knew more about magic than she let on...

How are your OCs' relationships with their mothers?

Oho, this is a good question because it varies from OC to OC - so I'll group similar ones together (and I'm putting them under the cut because I have a lot of OCs)

Several do not have great relationships with their mothers - Nicky's parents left her behind with relatives when she was six and she's very bitter about this, and still doesn't entirely believe that her aunt won't one day do the same. Sophie Sloan (Diagnosis Murder OC) was abandoned by her mother when she was two years old - she doesn't remember enough to miss her, but part of her can't help but feel it was a judgement on her. My X-Men OCs Alex, Rosa, and Kate left their respective homes because of their mothers' anti-mutant sentiments and there's no reconciliation on the horizon because unfortunately, that hasn't changed in the years since. Marie Douglas (The Professionals) and Brianna Louise Wilson (NCIS) left home at thirteen and eighteen respectively because they were unwanted compared to thier siblings and damn well knew it.

Steph Taylor and Brianna Thawne get along with their mothers but it is somewhat distant - Steph's worked a lot during her childhood and while she doesn't exactly begrudge her that there's still a little bit of resentment there, and they only tend to talk on holidays and birthdays. Brianna's loves her, but unintentionally put pressure on her by talking about the high achieving relatives, which made Brianna push herself and push herself until she burnt out, and then she left home at seventeen to find herself (and became a Blue Flame Wielder), and has hardly talked to her since. Risa Redlark (Superman Returns) talks to her mother but struggles to connect with her as she doesn't understand why Risa wants to be a journalist. Áine (The Witcher) doesn't see her mother much because she travels a lot, but still tries to make time to see her when she can.

Some of them had positive relationships with their mothers but are missing them for one reason or another. Meri Solo, Isla Tinero-Antilles and Ashley Tanner (my Krypton OC) loved their mothers, but lost them at a young age - out of the three, Ashley has more memories as she was ten (compared to Isla at 4 and Meri at 5), but sometimes suffers doubt about whether her mother would've accepted her gender identity had she lived, and that unanswered question colours things a bit.

Eliana's mother Lana Lang is presumed dead - nothing's ever been confirmed, as there's no way to contact her Earth, but Eliana is mostly convinced that she's dead, because there's no way that her mother wouldn't have been helping more metas and aliens get off-world and she would be killed if caught, and Eliana misses her so much but hardly allows herself to think of any possibility she might be alive because it's too painful (but nonetheless, a small part of her hopes.) Nellith does think her mother is dead because of the severed Force Bond and this devastates her and she struggles to talk about it with anyone - even Meri, the person who ends up looking after her for the next fourteen years.

Emile Brooke has been mostly raised by her grandparents and doesn't see her mother often - as of the start of the story it's been two years since she last saw her - but she doesn't doubt that she loves her, even with the complicated circumstances. Lissa Blackwood has not contacted her mother in fifteen years and although she feels so very guilty about this, is nonetheless convinced it is for the best.

The rest have pretty solid relationships with their mothers. The Barnes children all adore Leah, and look up to her a lot, Gemma Laura McKinney still regularly visits both her parents, and James Connors thinks Nicky is the best mom ever and he's so happy to have been adopted by her. Maia Curry only knows the one parent but that's enough for her and she's never felt unloved or been bothered by the lack of a father. Sophia Reynolds has been raised only by her mom for the last eleven years (because they had to flee their home planet and have no way of contacting Mal Reynolds to let him know they're alright), and is very protective of her mom.

Theo Thawne loves his mom Laura to pieces and even started studying to become a social worker like her. Sarah Thompson got along very well with her mother, and Alex always tried to find a way to talk to her mom when she could, unless she was on an undercover mission - even though there was still some disagreement over Alex joining SHIELD in the first place. Hannah Edwards is happy to be Jane's kid, and though she has a desire to find her birth father, she is not so bothered about finding out about her birth mother (she does eventually get to meet Bobbi, but it takes some time for the relationship to become cordial). Caitlin Sherwood (Buffyverse) speaks to her mother once a week and sees her when she can and gets along with her well, she's just often very busy. Niamh (OUAT) lives with both parents and is the light of their lives, Joanna (Uncharted) was mostly raised by her mother and maternal aunt and considers them as the most important people in the life, and Mel Hathaway (Star Trek) has a somewhat strained but mostly loving mother (she just disagreed with Mel joining Starfleet after she was nearly killed while on a routine trip to Vulcan).

Known as Elisabeth Barbot in the Enchanted Forest, her father was a merchant that angered the Evil Queen and her home was burned down and his ship was lost at seat. They had to move to the countryside and work on a farm, where she explored in the woods and found a deserted castle where she met Suzanna. In Storybrooke, she lives and works on the docks, helps out at Granny's and does storytime sometimes for Mary Margaret. When the curse is broken, she remembers Gabriella but Gabriella doesn't remember her

Rowan Buckley (Jake Borelli FC), Josh Russo ship. A cousin to Maddie born a year after Daniel, he also wasn't a bone marrow match. So when his parents died and his aunt and uncle took him in just after Daniel passed, he was also sworn to secrecy to never talk about him. He and Buck weren't very close when they were young as their parents focused more on Rowan as the replacement son for Daniel and Rowan was always very unsure how to be around his cousin, Maddie was pretty much their in between. When he was 18, he left home to go to college for pre-med (inspired by everything that happened with Daniel) and moved to Los Angeles, only really talking to his parents and occasionally Maddie until those talks stopped too. Then when he transfers hospitals, he meets Firefighter Buckley for the first time in years.

Born and raised in San Francisco, he spent most of his childhood raising his little sister since their parents weren't around like, at all. Fighting fires, that's what she was good at. And then Owen Strand calls her. Her captain knew him and when he was looking to rebuild the 126, he recommended her transfer. So she accepted.

Melody Lau (Melissa O'Neil FC), Paul Strickland ship. Ever since she was young, Melody knew she wanted to help people. But her family couldn't afford to send her to college so, she looked to the police academy. She passed with flying colors, her only issue was getting employment. He's been with Dr. Bright for about six months now after being recommended by Agent Green, he does go to school with Caleb but neither have realized the other is an atypical or a patient of Dr. Bright's as he typically stays away from sports and they only share a couple of classes. An older patient of Dr. Bright's, she's helped her get her level down a lot and while Billie probably could get away with stopping her sessions, she's almost afraid to for reasons she doesn't say. She meets Damien when he's waiting around after her session to see Dr. Bright and though Billie didn't like him at first, he kept finding her and talking to her

Laurence Mercer (Tyler Hoechlin FC), Robert Gorham Damien ship. A non-atypical that works for the AM under the name Agent Poirot, he gets moved from DC to Boston to work with Agent Green and through that he unintentionally meets Dr. Bright. But it's through an accidental meeting with Chloe at a coffee shop that he ends up meeting Damien, who initially dislikes him and Laurence tries to keep a distance, but it doesn't quite work for the two of them

How well would your OCs do against a cockroach tag game

Rules: rate your OCs by how well they'd do against a cockroach.

@space-writes this seems like a fun game, sorry it took me a bit to get to. I've dealt with cockroaches before (such as in my childhood home in Oceanside, California) so this one was pretty easy for me to imagine with some of my characters.

Rina Woodshed: - Would probably find the bug interesting - Catches it in a jar and gives it a name - Her mother would get mad at her and make her release it - 8/10, Would probably cause some damage chasing it

Lafayette: - Foxes eat insects, so I could see him eating one as a snack - 9/10, Point deducted because even if it's true it's still gross XD

Sonja Kruger: - Has a strong aversion to bugs/filth due to her past - Would have an immediate anger response and try to kill it - 6/10, Definitely would cause some collateral damage due to flinging around her ice magic willy nilly.

Vernar: - Would just zap it without hesitation - Might make it come in contact with any others nearby to also gain control of them (proxy zapping) - 10/10, Would either make them march harmlessly away so Sonja doesn't freak out or use them as reagents in a potion.

Ven of House Samoa: - Immediate freak out - Not used to seeing bugs at all because his house is so clean - 0/10, Would flee and require one of his servants to take care of it

Sachin Mishra: - Has dealt with this problem before because he lives in California. - Immediate lock-down and sanitation of his place, sealing food in special containers, finding and getting rid of stagnant water sources, and spraying the crap out of his apartment (face mask + dual-wielding cans) - Consequently, this would lead to his apartment becoming the cleanest it's ever been in a while once everything is taken care of - 10/10, A true roach hunter.

Nikki Lang: - Would have a heart attack at the sight - Said freak out would probably happen during her streaming and get clipped, ending up on youtube - Has no idea how to deal with them but would probably grab like a belt or a boot - 3/10, Has to get over initial fear reaction to do anything but is ready by the second encounter.

Sofia Mary Lang: - Treats the issue very seriously - Doesn't want an infestation to affect her business or her daughter's well-being - Would shut down the bakery and salvage what goods she can - 8/10, Wouldn't deal with it personally, would just call in an exterminator

History/Background:

Indy was found at a HYDRA base (about early/mid Season 2) by SHIELD agents; Agent Morse, Agent May, Agent Coulson, Agent Johnson, and Agent Hunter. According to her and HYDRA data, she had been there ever since she was 2-3 yrs old or as long as she could remember, as a lab rat for HYDRA’s experiments (they did not find any additional information on her, her family or where she was from). The agents who found her brought her back to SHIELD HQ, and after about six months of rehabilitation and therapy (and learning basic words/sign language), she joined SHIELD as a field agent.

The only clue they had to who she was was a scraggly teddy bear with a faded name written on it's foot- Daisy could make out the name Indy, so that's what they called her.

It was quickly discovered after her rescue that she had supernatural abilites- the ability to alter and manipulate her body heat to extreme temperatures, and even project it out of her own body. She has since learned to control her abilities and use them in combat situations.
