just noticed that your fics on AO3 seemed to be locked as of today(I do have a account so I was able to view them again that way) May I ask(and hopefully doesn’t come off as accidentally rude) but did something happened?

and it’s it okay to ask as well if this will be temporary or at least a while in the future?

I don't think it was rude to ask! I privated my fics because of the AI scraping that happened. It really hurts to know the work that I spent hours/days/weeks working on was thrown into some instant gratification slop machine that's killing our planet.

Unless there is some way to protect authors from AI scraping, then this will be a permanent fixture. I'm actually kinda bummed about it cause for a while I didn't have an Ao3 account so I couldn't read privated fics but I still want to post my works and not give them to AI. This is the best compromise I could think of. If you know a way for me to not private my fics I'm all ears because stories are for everyone.

I'm thinking of going through my tumblr and just putting in the description of the fic and the Ao3 link but honestly I'm lazy and probably won't lmao

I probably will write another Dom/Sub fic but I don’t know if it will be for Cold War. If I do it for Cold War it'll probably be Bell/Adler lol

Hi! Thank you for this ask :) this one has been bouncing around in my head for a while now

After Solovetsky, Adler decides not to kill Bell. Instead, she is sent to Berlin as an American CIA Agent working with BND. From there, she is given a new name, Maria Donovan.

She works diligently in analysis and decryption, rather than field work. Then, two years later, news reaches the BND that the CIA was in town. While slightly peeved that she hadn’t been contacted, she was hoping that they would just avoid her. But then, much to her displeasure, she is requested to work on a mission with them, and one of the newer agents.

When she comes face to face with Adler after a little over a year of no contact, she is understandably stony towards him. The poor newbie the BND sent with her is so confused. Adler tries to poke her, joking and such, but she shuts him down.

They complete their mission and she goes back to BND after having a private heated discussion with Adler. The next day her boss informs her that she will be helping the CIA out for the duration of their stay. Needless to say, she is pissed. He sends her off with another beer.

Working mostly on decryption and analysis with minimal field work, she is professionally cold with the team, turning down attempts at team bonding. This lasts until she starts decoding messages from Perseus directly to her, the analyst. He doesn’t seem to realize who she is, who she was.

She finds and tells Adler just as she has a panic attack, thinking he would think she was trying to go back to Perseus while also panicking because she doesn’t want to go to Perseus.

He attempts to talk her out of it, but ends up making it worse. Because of course he does. All of the emotions she has been suppressing since he came back bubble out, and he just bundles her into a tight hug, and her legs give out. He sinks down onto the floor with her, and it ends with her sobbing in his lap.

He holds her and strokes her hair, before carrying her to his room to calm her down once she is no longer crying, but sniffling. She is still unresponsive to him. There he just holds her in his lap and rocks her until she falls asleep in his arms before tucking her under the covers. He falls asleep next to her on top of the covers, wrapped around her, protecting her.

Woods snuck in and took a picture without being caught. It was promptly printed, and will be used later as blackmail.
