#oc: levvi

sleep deprived oc lore ramble: the neon district is the zone where most stuff in my headworld happens, and that's where most of the active characters live. it's kinda like if nyc and las vegas were mashed together and existed in a sonic game so it looks a bit cartoony. dandera and harvey have been living there for a while now, but pierce and pummel recently move in at the start of the current storyline. pierce and pummel are their neighbors, and the two couples live on the opposite side of the others' townhouse

nyaya on the other hand has lived in the neon district for longer than the main four, as she kinda just stayed in the same apartment for more than a decade. she's a hermit.. lenny of course lives with nyaya, so he's also a neon district resident

lambent is the most popular club/arcade in the neon district, and an important place in The Lore. mainly because this is where dandy and harv work. dandy's the bouncer and harv is part of the wait staff. neech is the head of the wait staff and harv's manager. i have this crt-headed kobold character who's in development hell who's the head of tech maintenance. there's also levvi, who i haven't drawn in ages but they're the usual dj

nixxo, the character from the piece linked at the start of this post, is the co-owner of the club and a live performer (the other owner has art and a design so outdated that i don't even wanna mention him LOL). cake is another usual performer as well

well that sure was words. if you're ever wondering about my ocs and you happen to have toyhouse, i have a lot of stuff about them on there. it's hard to draw out the lore cause of slow drawing speed so i often write it instead .. i do wanna make more comics. i just need to figure out the layout of lambent..

some comments on salems newest posts. he says he was planning on making hitomi more asian by giving her ethnic features because he just cares so much about asian representation. then he admits he saw the comments criticizing hitomis lack of racial coding in comparison to his black characters and admits he decided to stop holding back on the monolids (which why he was even restrained from implementing it in the first place is??) because he read on this blog what people were saying and that hitomi looked white passing. you know, the supposed “transphobic, racist bigots who are only here to harrass and stalk trans people” that he adamantly claimed he was NEVER going to appeal to. its great that he actually listened to criticism for once but he shouldnt have had to have been pushed into adding racial coding into an oc he was supposedly already planning to do so for, but was dragging his feet for some reason.

the change he made was good. its just funny that he had a whole meltdown about how he wasnt going to appeal to or listen to "his haters" and then did exactly that, admittedly. and now is upset that we noticed he only did it because we were criticizing him, and not because he wanted to do it on his own terms. why does he even want to win with the so-called nit-pickers?

also i dont really see much of an issue with wis relating to hitomi, but its funny she felt the need to defend herself by saying. “nuh uh! hitomi is actually japanese AND polish. which salem has been planning for a while but conveniently has never spoken about publicly.” like girl. if theres no issue with relating to the OC then why do you feel the need to even clarify shes half polish as if that matters. and also. we were just supposed to read your minds and know that somehow?

this was even mentioned, in his comments. where he continually doubles down, that "kung fu san" was just a delusion. rather, than a deliberate lie, or his alter being racist, as he has stated it was in the past. his story keeps changing. just like this supposed asian caricature alter's name.

note, how quick he is to name call and be rude, to someone that levvied a fair and reasonable criticism, against him.

this, as well as wis has not been harassed. all i have seen, is people rightfully questioning her. and her running away, when she knows she cannot just verbally abuse them.
