Kin-kin is a Xehanort clone who's dna was mixed up with Subject X. Her "uncle" found her, panicked and split her heart into 7 pieces as an infant. He then gave her to Kin-kins adopted father and threw the pieces far into the split realm of light.

Two of these holders, Emerald and Damien Hallow (I'll post them soon) followed the small child and gave their pieces back.

Kin-kin knows she's adopted. She knows she's missing pieces but she's unaware of her origins at the start of her TTRPG. Her "sister" is a piece of her heart encompassing Bravery, Nikki whom I'm sure some of you have seen with Vanitas.

Kinkin likes playing drums in a band with her brother. Her favorite animals are reptiles and amphibious creatures. Her world, Dawnbreaker Mountain is very much inspired by Gravity falls complete with woods, mountains and lakes.

She's outgoing and respectful but a little odd and quirky. She's sensitive and hates fighting unless it means helping others. She is very empathetic with those who have been affected by Darkness and tends to feel soft towards heartless and nobodies. She's about 19 when she starts her journey to find her shards with Korey and three new friends.

Korey (seen here with his friend Sol-an Oc of @queen-with-the-quill on the other hand is about 16. A rainbow baby, he was born a few years after their parents adopted Kin-kin. He's a showboat. Outgoing, spectacular but tends to favor himself in regaling stories. He has a strange spell cast on him that prevents his damaging magic from working and can only heal.

He likes pizza, sports, music and just being a punky teenager. He's obsessed with cryptids and mythical creatures, especially dragons.

He works two jobs to earn munny and still can help his parents bakery. He's extremely polite until he gets to know people then tends to be a bit mischievous.

He wants to explore worlds so much that he unknowingly can transport himself through the dark corridors with the protection of one of Kin-Kin's pieces. He's afraid of Darkness and a bit if who he really is.

He loves Kin-kin a lot but they definitely are still siblings and squabble often. The two know sign language together and have silent arguments with one another.

Korey adopted a Cornish Rex, tuxedo pattern they named Mozzarella.

korey: there’s not much he’s afraid to share with someone if they ask, though he’s prone to shouldering his feelings on his own and working through it gradually, internally - unless it involves another person, in which case, he’ll ask to open a conversation about it; he’s a good and proactive communicator about most things, and trusts easily unless given reason not to

dane: though incredibly sincere when it comes down to it, he’s practiced at a guarded-yet-charming way of communicating that he tends to default to, so there’s a lot of light-hearted joking around or uncomfortable dancing around the truth before he comes out with it - if he’s really bothered, you might have to damn near guess his issue verbatim before he’ll tell you what he’s feeling

Little symbolism and poem made by my dearest nerd of a brother for the apple tree.

The Apple Tree of Toxicity

In a family filled with pain and strife,

An apple tree stood tall, a symbol of life,

Its branches reached out, so filled with grace,

Promising protection and a place,

But the fruits of this tree, oh so sweet,

Hid a bitter truth, hidden beneath,

They promised knowledge and a sense of power,

But only brought emptiness and devower,

For the taste of the fruit was oh so sour,

It left a feeling of nothingness in its wake,

As though the apples were poisoned,

Leaving a hollow feeling, a wound that cannot be healed,

And yet we still reach out, hungry for more,

Searching for answers to what lies in store,

For we cannot seem to let go,

Of the knowledge that the tree has to show.

But oh, how we wish to let go,

Of the toxicity that's brought us woe,

For we cannot escape the past,

And it leaves us with a feeling of emptiness at last.

SYMBOLISM LETS GOOOOOOOO—

In the story of Genesis, the forbidden fruit that Eve consumes is often interpreted as a figurative apple. Apples are associated with knowledge and wisdom, which can be a double-edged sword when it comes to toxic families.

On one hand, the pursuit of knowledge can help you see the truth about your family dynamics, which can lead to self-discovery and a sense of peace. On the other hand, the pursuit of knowledge can also make you realize the emptiness that can result from growing up in a toxic environment.

The apple tree, which bears the fruit of knowledge, can be seen as a symbol for families that are rooted in toxicity. The tree can provide a sense of stability and belonging, but it can also be a source of pain and trauma.

In such families, it is not uncommon for children to feel a sense of emptiness, as they struggle to make sense of their experiences and find their place in the world. The fruit of the toxic family "apple tree" can leave them feeling hollow, as they come to terms with the challenges of living in a family that is not emotionally supportive.

Kin-kin is a direct clone of Xehanort however her dna was tempered with. The idea was to bring someone so touched by Darkness into a complete blank slate of a newer world. But she's becoming her own person too. She is a Dream Eater too!

Korey can safely travel the corridors of Darkness and the realm of darkness thanks to Kin-kins protection. Through this he's met not just new friends (like Sol) but his cousin as well.
