3. If they have a special item that they couldn’t bear to lose: kyle gave her a beautiful ring shaped like an english rose before his death; she would lose her mind if the ring was somehow lost

2. Their first ever Halloween costume: Wonder Woman because Ezzie’s father was a comic book fan growing up, and it turns out that Wonder Woman was his favorite superhero. He thought bb!Ezzie would be a wonderful Wonder Woman for Halloween

4. Their favorite kind of weather: Ezzie loves a good rainy day where she can just curl up on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good book while the news is on in the background

Ezzie’s crush worked up the courage to ask her to dance, and during a slow song, they had a cute little peck that had her grinning for days

9. If they had a lucky object (and what it is): Ezzie’s father had a St. Jude’s medallion that he left behind after he and Ezzie’s mother divorced. Even though she doesn’t have fond memories of her father, Ezzie still wears it because it surprisingly has given her good luck

10. Their saddest injury: Before Kyle was shot and killed, her stalker tried to grab her by using the element of surprise. Ezzie fought back, but in the fight, she suffered a blow to the stomach that caused a few bruised ribs and her arm was twisted around her back so hard, it was pulled out of its socket

After their first tour, the two were officially best friends for life

3. Their dumbest injury: One day, while out running with Ares, he saw a squirrel and went running after it, pulling Ezzie along with him. He pulled her right arm out of its socket, and there were scratches all up her legs

2. Their most heroic moment: I was thinking, potentially around s8 maybe, Ezzie finds out that she has a half-sister named Dyani, and she’s been missing for awhile. There’s a case that takes them out to New Mexico, where Dee (her preferred name) was last seen. Once they figured out who the unsub was, the BAU also figured out that Dee was still alive. Ezzie was the first one on the scene and also to go into the building. The unsub was just about to finally kill Dee when she kicked down the door and pin him to the floor

3. A superstition they believe in (if they do believe in them): “Break a leg” instead of “good luck” in the theatre

4. Their favorite 2000s song: Escape by Enrique Iglesias

5. Their first pet: Ares, her German Shepherd. Ezzie couldn’t have pets when she was younger because her father was allergic to animal dander. She promised herself that, as soon as her time in the Army was up, she would get her first dog. That promise was fulfilled when one of her army friends gave her puppy!Ares as a birthday present

7. Their lowest moment: Around s9 or s10, Ezzie starts dating this guy named Kyle (fc is Nyle DiMarco). She really likes him (he taught her how to use sign language, they go running together with Ares, and Dee LOVES him), but *spoiler alert* he gets killed by an unsub that was obsessed with Ezzie. She was devastated, wouldn’t get out of bed for the longest time, and listened to Come Back…Be Here by Taylor Swift on repeat

8. Their crime against humanity: Her mom jokes are so bad, her BAU colleagues always cringe jokingly when she gives one out. They got even worse when Dee came to live with her

Okay, here’s what I can tell you about Ezzie so far

She has her bachelor’s, and later master’s, in biochemistry and psychology

She goes into the military after college for a few years

She has a half-sister, whom I have decided to name Dyani (Dee as a nickname), from her dad that she later takes in after reuniting during a case

She has a German Shepherd that she named Ares

I haven’t decided when she’ll join the BAU, but I was thinking maybe around s6 after both JJ and Emily are gone

She and Reid are a bit of a slow burn because she isn’t look for a relationship at the time

She will read anything she can get her hands on

Cannot live without coffee

Her go-to outfit is a cute sweater and jeans

She’s a Harry Potter fan, which she gets teased about by Morgan

Rossi becomes her future mentor (she sees him as the father figure she never had)

I think Ezzie would be the barista, working to save enough money to send her half-sister to college, while Spencer is the one who frequents the shop, trying to work up the courage to talk to her

2. High school/College AU

Listen, Ezzie worked her butt all throughout high school to get to where she is now, she’s absolutely the straight-A student. I honestly think Reid would be the slacker because he’s so smart, he would think he wouldn’t need to work so hard

3. Rivals to lovers AU

Spencer would definitely be the one to take the rivalry seriously because he’s such an oblivious mofo while Ezzie’s totally in it to try and push his buttons (which doesn’t work, infuriating her to no end)

This is a hard one. I think either one could switch sides, depending on the situation

Dude, Ezzie is LITERALLY the single parent, taking her half-sister in after realizing that their father is dead and her sister’s mom is gone too and she’s all that she has left

Reid is for sure the long suffering doctor (seeing as he is an ACTUAL doctor) while Ezzie is the patient who keeps on scheduling checkups just so she can chat with him

First, the OC that I have worked on the most this year is definitely Cord. She’s the one whose backstory I developed for about half a year, as well as her aunt Drea’s backstory too

So, I actually don’t use my Spotify account at all (I’m terrible, Ik). So, I’ll just go to the song that I’ve been listening to repeat on my Apple account, which would be marjorie by Taylor Swift. Once again, it REALLY reminds me of Cord because I feel this is the song that she would write herself about her parents, specifically her mom

Now, which OC drinks too much before midnight? Hmm... that’s a tough one. I think that would go to my new Criminal Minds OC, Ezzie. I mean, come on, her job is FINDING SERIAL KILLERS! She would just want to enjoy being with the team and Spencer and NOT have to think about work, so it’s time to party!

Marisol had gone out riding with Armando, leaving little Esperanza in the care of the other Salazar siblings. Eliza watched as the little hybrid toddled around the room with Alejandro's youngest daughter. The older children were upstairs playing.

Eliza paused in her cleaning feeling tugging on the back of her skirt. She turned around and found the two girls staring up at her. They looked tired.

"Ready for nap time?" She asked with hands on her hips.

Lancha yawned and held out her arms to be picked up. She babbled in her baby language; from what Eliza understood Esperanza was nearly three and hadn't started speaking yet. Marisol wasn't concerned, saying her daughter will start talking when she was ready to.

With Lancha in her arms, Eliza took Rosalina's hand and slowly walked with them upstairs to the nursery. Rosalina let go of Eliza and went over the nest of blankets and pillows on the floor. When she went to put Esperanza down, the toddler whined and pulled on Eliza with big eyes.

"I have work to do, little one." Eliza said gently and Esperanza shook her head.

What happened surprised Eliza as Lancha said not only her first word but her first sentence.

"No. Nap time, Elia."

Eliza was taken aback and stared at the little girl. She had spoke for the first time to her; not her mother, not her uncles, not her grandparents. To Eliza.

Esperanza wanted down and she too went to the nest where Rosalina was already sleeping. She stomped her foot and again said, "Nap time." And pointed to the makeshift bed.

Eliza sighed, she did feel a bit tired but had work to do. And then she decided, fuck it.

When Marisol and Armando returned not an hour later, they found all of the children curled up and sleeping against the bruja in her other form.
