Their dynamic in the beginning is funny as hell to me because Patrick and Belladonna had sex like once in her dad's office during a party when they were like 21-22 and Patrick won't let it go but Belladonna deadass forgot 😭Also Patrick had to genuinely realize he can't use his money or influence to get Bella because she has more than he ever could.

Belladonna has very...Complex feelings about Patrick as their story progresses, often thinking of him as a stereotypical yuppie, very conservative without a passion. As time progresses, she does slowly peel away that Patrick isn't artistically inclined but very much perceptive of it, and the details surrounding it. Able to talk in length as to why a song exists but not understanding a single tune. She also finds hilarity in his high-strung nature,realizing quickly that he's rather easy to provoke. She eventually falls in love with him without even noticing, comparing it more to a mold growing in her lungs. Patrick knew from the start that he'd have her but but she's so stubborn about it.

If Belladonna is a hunter, then Patrick is the buck that purposely follows her with his antlers bared. He wants her to put him on display, wants her to see him, and appreciates him as a spectacle among spectacles. He knows about her tendencies, and he compares them to his own. It makes them a perfect match in his eyes.

He struggled with the thought of their marriage at first because he could never out-price her or out class her, so he'd rather be a trophy husband. The perks lined up beautifully.

Their wedding was elegant, albeit heavily sponsored by the Lewa name. Belladonna and Patrick both tuned the wedding out, and the ride to their honeymoon was more memorable with the two sitting in the back of the limousine talking about who was there and complaining about all the fine details. For Patrick, this was natural, but for Bella, she realized that in this world, she truly found a friend.

Now for their kids:

Aristide was a surprise, years into their marriage with Belladonna ignoring her pregnancy symptoms, which annoyed Patrick to no end because it's so obvious! He made her take a pregnancy test to make her see the reality she was scared to confront because her parents were horrid and she'd rather not continue the cycle. Aristide was an easy pregnancy but a horrible birth that left Bella in pretty bad shape after for a bit, but that boy loves his mother dearly... His father is there, I guess. Total mama's boy.

Odette was the baby Patrick BEGGED for and even made a powerpoint when asking for another kid to convince Belladonna. She was a difficult pregnancy and was born via C-section (a scar Belladonna actually loves), and her name actually was Patrick's idea because he had a psychotic episode while watching Swan Lake and thought he needed to name unborn child Odette so the character could live happily. He's a total girl dad, and she's 100% the password child.

Boarding school brat with very very neglectful parents (mom was young, old family friend of the Kims who was living with them in order to find a husband, ran off with an older rich British man). She exposed a secret society at her school for abusive hazing behaviour up to and including sexual assault, the students involved were punished but she was so heavily ostracized and bullied afterwards (both for ratting them out and for having been a victim of the hazing) that she could not stay at the school anymore. Her mom wants to send her away to heal from everything that happened and to get away from the bullying, her dad wants to send her away because writing about what happened to her was "bad for the family image", she's sent to live with their old friend Morey Dell and his wife – who did not know that she was being sent to them but did not turn her away.

Daughter of Aeneas (maybe also a demigod, legacy of Aphrodite through her dad either way), considered the second hero of rome for her own quests back in ancient times, died idk how/why yet brought back by Gaia because she has a grudge against a lot of the gods for the destruction of Troy even though she was only a child when it happened, but then finds out that Gaia is also trying to kill Roman demigods and the legacy of ancient Rome and says absolutely the fuck not, turns on her to side with them instead

child of a sea deity – poseidon or someone else tbd – from the crew of the original argo. Pretended to be a man to join the crew, eventually her secret is revealed. It is eventually decided to let her stay but a few of the crew members are not okay with that and throw her overboard in the Sea of Monsters (drowned but didn’t really drown because of her parent), spat back out during Sea Of Monsters and meets Percy & Annabeth & Tyson, or possibly meets Clarisse instead

Romilly Chase

Annabeth’s twin sister, left behind when Annabeth ran away, eventually also ended up running away and after a while got found by Roman demigods and taken to camp Jupiter, never claimed because Athena knows that the Romans would despise her if they knew who she was (whether they knew that she was Greek or saw her as a child of Minerva)

Starts dating Jason and Reyna somewhere between Battle Of The Labyrinth and Last Olympian, doesn’t properly see Annabeth until Mark of Athena and it’s extremely messy

Might have her own Labyrinth quest at the same time as Annabeth’s but paths just don’t cross, tbd

Started her career in the Capitol in entertainment (movies & porn) and as a sex-escort, which got her the connections to eventually become a hunger games-escort, continues her sex work because she enjoys it but along the way gets roped into the rebellion and her job gives her an easy way to collect and pass along information without raising suspicion

Ares Crane ship, her sex work is how she helps with his plans to overthrow Snow and is the liaison between him and the rebels (bc he’s not really part of 13’s rebellion just willing to work with them for a shared goal for now)

Regulus Cyrillus

Ares Crane's best friend since the academy, another one of the Capitol's rich and powerful, part of Ares' plan to overthrow Snow. Part of Snow's cabinet (alongside Ares, who heads the Department of the Treasury) as the head of communications). A master at chess and at hustling pool, both of which are reflected in his ability to manipulate people to get whatever he wants

District 4 Victor from the year after Finnick (his longtime best friend/first love, reaped because he attempted to refuse to become one of Snow's prostitutes). Having been victors four years in a row (and being young, attractive, very in demand victors who spent the most time in the capitol), the two of them + Cashmere + Gloss became very close and were beloved by the media as the Capitol's darlings, returns to the arena for the Quarter Quell

Richest man in the Capitol, once fell in love with a tribute who died, now every year he is the biggest sponsor in the games (no sex, he introduces himself to each tribute for 5-10 minutes at the opening ceremonies and decides from that and their interviews, 74th games were the first time he sponsored two people and he chose Rue & Peeta). Had been an up and coming game maker until the tribute he’d fallen for died and he quit, tbd what his new job is but probably in politics somewhere. Secretly donates to the family of every dead tribute (not a huge amount but in the outer districts it still makes a huge difference), is very inspired when Katniss and Peeta donate their winnings to the other families. Long time friend of Tigris’, not hugely involved in the rebellion but smuggles some information to rebels and helps bankroll a lot of it.

- He can be hot headed at times but the sound of music soothes his nerves

- He has a huge crush on Astraea because he likes Astraea's passion for writing and music.

- He doesn't get why Aristide has so much fans.

- His guardian (Venus) is very rich and often kept him at a distance but still pampered him with expensive clothes and accessories.

- From a young age he was often dressed up and shown off to other segyein in events.

- He's very popular among the kids in Anakt garden and he receives gifts and letters from others often

- He sees Yuno as a younger sibling.

- He likes how effortlessly handsome and perfect Aristide can be

- Aristide's guardian is a segyein who doesn't care about humans outside of their potential for entertainment

- It's hard to find someone Aristide genuinely likes

- Aristide is the most popular kid in anakt but no one dares talk to him so easily

Hello! Call me Sage! I go by they/them pronouns, and am in my late 20s! I've been lurking for a good long while, and have been promising an intro post for a looong time (what do you mean 2023 was 2 years ago?!), so here it is!

You'll find this blog as a sort of a repository of reblogged whump tropes and prompts, as well as my writing! You can find all the tracked tags I have on this blog tagged to this post for ease of navigation 😊 This is also a sideblog, so you'll see any likes or follows coming from @digitalcactusblog instead of this blog!

I have a wide range of likes when it comes to whump, though I strongly prefer whumperless whump to having a whumper! I do dabble on occasion, though, especially in certain AUs for my OCs. And boy, do I have a lot of AUs.

As far as favourite whump tropes go, I love characters fainting/collapsing, the "hidden injury" trope, and so so much the "moment of awakening" trope—when a whumpee finally wakes up from unconsciousness and is super out of it. And, of course, more, but we can't be here all day 😂 I generally write/reblog a pretty wide variety of stuff!

Shaoyuan Nie (he/him): Introduction here!

Shaoquan Nie (any pronouns): Twin sibling to Shaoyuan, and the Abel to his Cain. A silvertongue smooth-talker with a careful eye for detail, and such a sharp insight into the thoughts of others that you'd think they're able to read minds (and in some AUs they do). They much prefer words over weapons, though one could say that words are their weapons, and they're a master of using them to devastating effect. They strongly believe that violence is unnecessary, and murder even more so.

Aristides de Silva (he/him): A mafia leader that inherited a dying empire from his father, who is determined to build it up to something worth inheriting. An enigmatic man whose mind seems to work in inscrutable ways, even to the ones who know him best. If life is a game of chess, then at any given moment, Aristides is thinking ten steps of the people around him. Catching him by surprise is a difficult task; he always seems to know more than he ought to. In most AUs, he's the father of three young children: his son, Demophon, and twin daughters, Delfina and Desideria.

Celestinus Cheng (he/him): A doctor who was born an outsider to the criminal underworld, but was pulled in after associations with Aristides. Since then, he's become Aristides' trusted right hand and advisor, as well as the de facto medical professional for members of his gang. Despite his constant air of exasperated frustration, his bark is far worse than his bite, and his heart is too big for his own good. No matter ally or enemy, he can't stand to watch and do nothing when someone is suffering or hurt.

Anne (she/her): An independent arcane researcher, and a member of the circle of "angels" that have descended to bestow magic upon the humans in Hell Is Another Word For Home. With her cheerfully heartless demeanour, however, one might be forgiven for thinking of her as a demon. Her first and only love is her research, to which her heart belongs—but, she has a special place in her heart for those who inspire her curiosity.

When Aristides secretly buys out Shaoyuan's contract from the management agency that owns him, Celestinus isn't too convinced that this traitorous assassin, who has wiped out two whole "family businesses," can be trusted. Through time, effort, and the judicious application of precise headshots, he finds otherwise.

So what do you do with a criminal you can't kill? Why, you use him as the subject for experiments that would kill a normal man, of course.
