I did most of this piece in medibang! I sketched it out in firealpaca, but I also did some editing sketches in medibang once I moved it over, so I think I’m gonna use 100% medi in my next one.

I used to love making speedpaints, so it was fun to throw a new one together!!

Sorrel (left) has been my favorite blorbo for years and years. she’s a main character. an obnoxious musician. a disaster bisexual. she’s survived two overhauls of her story. I’ve had her design pretty much solid for a long time, and I intend to properly introduce her later.

Kris (right) has been very difficult for me to design. she’s been around in the story for a while, but I could never figure out what she looked like. now I’ve finally pinned her down, so I can draw my sapphic angst >:)

Who are you currently playing?

I'm in a few games so here are my active blorbos:

Denbora Beltune, drow chronurgy wizard in a very homebrew curse of strahd game. Currently being tormented by The Horrors:tm: but its okay bc he looks amazing

Sorrel, warforged light cleric from a homebrew game. He's 3 years old and god's most specialist little guy. Only ever gets divine intervention when its for the bit.

Rowlin Bronzefeather, owlin artillerist artificer in a sky pirate game. "No Fun Allowed" kinda guy, cares only about himself and his robot child, Piper (another pc). The worlds gayest straight man.

Darius, wood elf (reborn) monster slayer ranger in a VRGR/COS game. The most saddest man you've ever seen in your life. Very competent ranger, the worst at talking to people (7 charisma). He's also the groups straight man but its more like herding cats who want to jump into lava. Hes so tired and disheveled at all times.

Eeriuff, chaos-touched werewolf barbarian in a pathfinder 2e game. Imagine the edgiest werewolf character possible. Then slap wings on that bad boy. Thats him. He loves violence and killing and I'm sure that won't become an issue when the eldritch horrors get him :)

Mortis, winged tiefling necromancer wizard. Very heavily fiendish, got that bone devil swag. The most pathetic wizard you've ever seen, but thinks he's hot shit despite struggling with 2nd level spells. Has a rivalry with a sorcerer who doesn't even know he exists.

The younger of a pair of twins, Sorrel!

Like Nik, he was singled out and picked by Dia to join her crew and help her build a time machine. While he had gone to school intending to study sciences, he ended up leaning into mechanics and engineering as well.

He tends to be more level-headed and will think things through but that won’t stop him from being as ambitious as his brother and has gotten them into trouble as well. For one, it was his idea to go check out an old unmarked grave in the forest at their childhood home. Ended up costing him half his right leg but he gained a sister out of it so he considers it wasn't a total loss. Echo saved his life and they restarted hers.

He’s not the best at flying but he’s agile, able to use his tail as a rudder depending on how the fan is spread. Long flights tire him out quickly and Sorrel would rather not. Both his wings and Nik's are simple, with only the thumbs and a single supporting finger. Sorrel will use his occasionally to walk without a prosthesis and use his tail on the ground for balance.

As it is now, Sorrel goes out with Dia on trips to study wildlife and things near where the ship lands in new time zones when he isn't helping to maintain the core of the device making it possible to jump through time. Or, he's keeping his brother out of trouble.

my laptop is still in the shop but I borrowed my mom’s ancient ipad to do some doodling. huge respect to you finger mains out there, idk how you do it! my hand was hurting by the time I finished each of these.

used my girl Sorrel to experiment with the program and get a feel for it, then I decided to work on the designs for the rest of her family.

Nat (she/her, second pic) is Sorrel’s aunt, who was her main guardian growing up. she works as a vet tech, which she uses as a cover for illegally distributing free medicine to community members. she likes to play poker with her war buddies and get up in everyone’s business. tbh she’s not the best choice for a parental figure, but at least she’ll tell you how to survive a knife fight. in future drawings I plan to give her more fat bc she Would Not be skinny (affectionate).

Tabby (she/her, third pic) is Sorrel’s mother. she struggled with mental health issues throughout Sorrel’s childhood and disappeared when Sorrel was a very young teen, so she wasn’t much of a parent. she was the leader of an armed uprising against the tyrannical old government, which succeeded at establishing a better system, but she wasn’t really built to settle down into a normal life. a good person, perhaps, but she is haunted by things she refuses to speak of.

I can’t wait to draw these gals together (and finalize their colors) once I get my pooter back
