I’m so nervous to make this post for @kirbyoctournament omg it’s my first time and Rainbow Dee’s as well ;w;

✮ Personality: Rainbow Dee personality is like similar to mine hehe she’s really smart, kind-hearted, overthinks stuff at times, she’s autistic and energetic. She doesn’t like overcrowded places. Meta Knight found her one day after he, Sword, and Blade saw a rainbow shooting star crash landed near Orange Ocean’s Seaside. Since than Meta Knight adopted her and she is Sailor Dee’s younger sister ;w; the two get along so well :) She calls Sword, Blade, and Dedede Uncle xD

✮ Lore: She is a celestial waddle dee young warrior. Rainbow Dee was born with insanely powerful magic each color of the rainbow represents a power/magic of her. Red is fire, Orange is Earth, Yellow is Electric, Green is Plant, Blue is Water, Purple is Nebula, and Pink is Healing. Yep she has a lot of magic and powers hehe since she landed in Popstar the Ancients are looking everywhere for her to seal her away and contain her strong power like what they done with Sir Galacta Knight. Meta Knight won’t let that happen he will protect her and keep her safe <3💫🌟🌈Whenever she uses her fire magic her hair turns to literal fire I really love that hehe :> Rainbow Dee’s sword she made that herself actually part of this proves she’s a strong warrior ;w;🌟

Personality: Headstrong and to the point, and passionate about cooking. He's a bit of a workaholic, and will spend hours designing and redesigning a menu for whatever event is planned. He's usually serious and restrained, but known to go into excited chatter when a new dish turns out well. Takes caution very seriously.

Ohhhh they are so. They grew up together and trust eachother more than the world!!! They do silly evil things like stealing peoples brains because they think they're doing something good for society (they aren't). Snap is the small coyote, they're quick and efficient and the brains of the operation, with a nasty sense of 'justice' and tendency to get revenge for the most petty actions. Their main talent is being able to take apart and reassemble everyday objects into horrible horrible scifi tools/weapons kids next door style. Quake is the huge badger, she's your typical "big strong and stupid" type but refuses to actually fight because it would be "unfair for the little guys". Her main talent is getting into places because she can tear apart walls like they are tin cans and she loves standing in places she should not be!! Quake protects snap with all of her power, and snap does their best to do the same by making sure she doesn't get into dangerous or unfair situations without knowing. It's the two of them against the world your honor!!! Vote for silly evil girlies who are so siblings and so so evil in a cartoony way.

they're ghosts, naomi being from the early 60s and giles from the 1740s. theyre complete opposites. giles is a serial romantic, naomi is repulsed aroace. he is an avid instagrammer, she doesnt know what a "tick tock" is. hes 6'1 and shes 5'0 without her massive boots. theyre not related but they forget that sometimes. most importantly they love being in eachothers presence very much 🤟

Guess who lost control and made a playlist for Etienne and Currant and a cover for the @icerosesummerbracket 🙃 Consider it Currant propaganda, since Etienne is already in (please get my boy in 🙏)

As a disclaimer, it's been years since I read the books, so this might be wildly inaccurate in places, idk, but I think I got the general vibes down! I feel like it ended up leaning more towards Etienne than Currant, haha, but it's still focused on their dynamic rather than just Etienne's personality or relationship with other chraracters. So I hope I managed to capture that!

I also really wanted to add Yin Yang from the Persona 4 anime but it's not in spotify so just imagine it's there :c

Notes on Personality: He generally seems to be a pretty laid-back guy. It’s hard to catch him when he’s really truly relaxed, though, since he’s generally used to being on edge. When he does have to fight, he’s one to talk the whole time about pretty much anything he can think of, and it’s one of the few ways you can get him to properly open up and enjoy himself. He has really bad acrophobia and avoids flying whenever possible, with his wings rarely seeing any use.

Backstory and Lore: He’s proficient in mirror and light magic, and uses his staff as a casting focus after a particularly bad backfiring which landed him in the mirror world after a near death experience. Most of Cecil’s memories from before arriving in the mirror world are fuzzy, so he doesn’t exactly remember where he came from. He does, however, have many memories of the mirror world, since he practically grew up there after the incident. He’s especially fond of Radish Ruins. The place reminds him vaguely of his old life, or at least the bits and pieces he can remember.

As with any good deathmatch, we must lay down some ground rules. So.

What does this competition define as a "tragic hero"?

A tragic hero is here defined, a little loosely, as "a character with a hamartia/fatal flaw who experiences tragedy resulting, at least in part, to this flaw". Given that this is a tumblr tournament poll, I'm willing to include ocs that dont specifically meet the classic standard of "tragic heroism" for the sake of Fun and Games. This is just a silly little fun poll of oc tragedians, so if you're erring on whether or not your guy Counts, go for it!

What characters can I submit?

Any sufficiently tragic-hero character that you have created and is this your Original Character, or "OC", is fair game for submission! If the character does not belong to you, you cannot submit it. If you feel that this is a grey area, I reccomend erring on the side of caution, but hey. I'm not your boss.

Where and when can I submit my character?

You can submit to the submissions document until 00:00 UTC on the morning of the 15th of July. For some timezones, this will stretch into the 15th, for some, this will be in the evening of the 14th. Thus, I will say for the sake of simplicity that submissions close on the 14th of July 2023.

Can I submit an image of my OC for use in the poll?

Yes, you are highly encouraged to! However, for the sake of not allowing anyone who sees this blog to potentially upload things to my google drive, you cannot do this in the document. Please send me a picture of your OC via my ask box or dms instead! If you are using picrew art or art done for you by a 3rd party, please include artist credit, as I will not post art without credit!

Can I submit an OC that is published in my own work/that I aim to publish?

Yes, but in this case, please only send me information that is already publically available about the character! I will publish all info submitted verbatim (with minor edits for formatting), and would hate to be responsible for posting spoilers!

Is it possible that my character won't make the cut?

Whilst I would love to include every submission, I do unfortunately recognise that it is likely that not everyone will be selected for the deathmatch. The reasons your character might be rejected include issues with seeding brackets, or unfortunately not reaching enough criteria of a specifically "tragic hero" (e.g. if they lack a hamartia). I strongly aim for a 100% inclusion rate but I am aware that it may not be realistically possible for me to include everyone!

What benefits can this position (entering my oc into your poll) offer me at this time?
