Journey: The Heart of Sky

This piece was my entry in @fithemothking 's tournament of creation!! It was really fun being able to experiment and pulling inspiration from traditional Batik styles with the flower designs and light line art I've always wanted to try it!!

However, I don't think pulling an all-nighter to get this done was very smart note to self never do that again 💀💀💀

Also once again thank you to moth king fi for hosting this competition it gave me so much motivation to draw some sky cotl fan art and now my lil sky oc has his garland :DD

My first Warrior Cats oc... those were the days. Dawnstripe is a medicine cat in Riverclan. She originally wanted to be a warrior, but on her very first day of apprenticeship she tried to climb a tree and. well she fell on a rock, landed paws-first and had all of her claws break off. My fifth grade mind was very creative. Anyways, after she became a medicine cat, she almost immediately got into a half-clan relationship and had two kits. I never thought about one of the kits, but the other one got into a relationship with a dark forest ghost and they?? Domehow had kits?? Ask past me.

Description

She was a grey cat with bue eyes and three purple stripes on one of her ears. As stated above, she had no front claws.

my LotR self-insert! protagonist of my first fanfic, she was the younger sister of Isildur and Anarion. When Numenor fell, she survived by .... floating to the shores of Middle Earth while clinging to a wooden harp case? It's a bit fuzzy to me now, but I do remember having a romantic arc planned out involving Glorfindel. Anyway cringe is dead, long love self-inserts and middle school escapism!

It's Father's Day! If you don't mind me asking, Seam Dee, do you have a father (or father figure)? If so, what are they like?

(CW: Angst! (I think this counts??) Idk if this needs any other content warnings, but if you feel I've missed something, let me know and I'll update this post accordingly! This took me two weeks to do, but it's finally done and I'm proud of how this turned out! Also, I sprinkled a few of my own headcanons into this, so yeah :3)

"King Dedede acts like a father figure sometimes!" Seam Dee giggles. "Though that probably was a given, considering how Great of a King he is!" Seam Dee winks. "He takes very good care of us Waddle Dees!"

"As for my actual father..."

((The Fountain's magic pulsed, slowly coalescing into a physical form to create new life, as it occasionally does. The creature being created was unaware of the world around it, the only hint it received of the existing world being flashes of images, and the occasional noise breaking the silence caught by the Fountain's water.))

(("Oh?" A somewhat deep-sounding voice spoke, sounding curious and malicious. "It seems I've finally found the Fountain of Dreams, and at a moment of creation, too!" The voice sounded pleased. The Fountain's water caught the sound of malevolent laughter. "Perhaps I can use this to my advantage..." The was a sound of movement, and then Something Was Wrong.))

((The Fountain's magic pulsed erratically as Darkness flooded into the connection between the Fountain and the creature and corrupted it. The voice laughed again, and the Fountain's water picked up the sound of chaos before the Fountain felt its Star Rod taken away, and everything went Dark.))

Seam Dee stayed silent for a few moments, reaching a hand up to fiddle with their boa before remembering it wasn't there anymore. It takes a few more seconds of silence before they speak up, their voice having a slight hint of anger fear frustration uncomfortableness:

"He's dead."

The OC Tournament Arcade

The Arcade might open soon! This post is partially an interest check, as I'm explaining the vision I have for it. ☆

In the OCT Arcade, I'm hoping to host tournaments between original characters, but with a little twist! The characters interact and fight it out. Think of it like multiversal "hunger games" entry, where each character is dropped into a Nexus and they fight it out.

(Long explanation of how I imagine it going and what you can do in the tournaments under the cut! There's a TLDR at the bottom!)

From where I see it now (plans may change) It'll go like this: Creators will submit a Google Form that'll hopefully include a backstory, notes on their personality, and what they look like. Some tournaments may include a motivation for characters to be there, or they could have just been plucked from their universe and dropped into the nexus. You can be as detailed as you'd like.

Matchups are posted shortly before the actual polls so that people can get time to know the characters and show support. Then, when the polls are done and the result is out, creators will come up with a piece of media, as simple or complex as you'd like within a certain amount of time (what I have in mind is a couple weeks before the next round happens). It can be anything that tells the result of the battle; maybe a simple drawing or two of the victor and loser after the fight, some writing about the fight, a short comic, or maybe even animation if you're up for it.

Have your own interpretation and vision for the setting! A setting will likely be given, like a forest or abandoned city, and descriptions (and possibly maps) will come with it for any structures and important points in the area, but you can bend it to your will! Add places, or let bits of your character's universe crash into the nexus!

Collaboration is encouraged! In the battle art, work together to make your depictions of ocs accurate! Make characters form friendships with each other! They don't even have to kill each other, they can lose the fight through things like forfeit or maybe other characters join in on a fight that isn't theirs and defend the winner. Any way you can get to the point where the winner of the initial poll wins, and the loser... loses.

Most characters work! Drag in your fan OCs and have fun with the properties of their source world! Maybe eventually there will be a "banned fandoms" list, but I don't imagine it'll be long, since i dont hate a lot of media (i do believe in death of the author though. if the creators suck but you acknowledge that and the media's flaws, go ham!)

TL;DR: itll take a long time because the ocs will hopefully interact between polls, and tournaments will hopefully form a story as they progress! think of it a little like the "traditional" oc tournaments on deviantart and such. hes i am heavily inspired by animations and comics people make (shoutout unknownperson)

She was one of the Heroes of Yore in my generation; she was a great help in sealing Void Termina! Genuinely, I couldn’t have done it without her.

She’s very pretty :))) I MEAN LOOK AT HER SHE’S GORGEOUS

Her magic is just as stunning as she is! Sure, it’s the same common stuff that all Soul-Matter Astrals have, but she makes it ten times more beautiful.

She’s stayed alive (sort of) for aeons for her loved ones, including me and our child (even though they don’t remember either of us). Despite being a corrupt spirit bound to be reaped in the coming months, she’s existed as such for ten thousand years after her initial death. That’s some dedication! You have to respect that.

She’s just generally a great person! An absolute joy to be around! I’m so glad to have met her. She truly means the world to me.

ok Sol has so much lore. so she started out as a roblox rp oc ok.her name was Solar she had like a "dArK sIdE" or evil twin named Lunar which was her but. purple. ok then eventually i got into beyblade burst. and for some reason, with no like. canon alignment i decided to make her like an angel or something. like she has fucking angel wings which happens to NO ONE ELSE IN CANON like everyone else is freaking human Except for her for some reason she has wings. and of course she perfectly ties in with the two other ocs i made for another anime where pretty much everyone is human except those two now. so thats how she is . and shes gotten a ton of development like shes a fully fleshed out REASONABLE non-mary sue-ish character (except shes still siblings with some of the strongest characters and dating the like. fandoms favorite character [its because i like him]). im not getting rid of the wings im attached. thats like her whole story . her being. i cant take the wings away from her without like. that would be a whole new oc ok? oh yeah her original iteration was her being possessed too. which i also made fully fleshed out and. ehhhh vaguely reasonable. but thats an au not like her canon
