RETURN TO THE FALLS RELATIONSHIP INFODUMP (its loooooooong)
(SEPARATED BY "SEASONS" AS IF IT WAS A SHOW LIKE IT IS IN MY BRAIN)
SEASON 1:
Amon -> Dipper: Amon thinks Dipper's cool. Seeing as he was the one to first find him, Amon got attached immediately. He always wanted a friend, and Dipper seems like a perfect fit.
Dipper -> Amon: Dipper finds Amon strange. Obviously this 4'11" boy with weird void eyes and strange burn scars isn't a normal person. Even when Amon swears up down and sideways he's a human Dipper isn't fully convinced. Either way he still enjoys Amon's company since he doesn't see him as a twerp or weak.
Amon -> Mabel: Very hyper. Never let Mabel introduce him to caffeine or he will explode. But they spend their time playing girly games and such. Amon gets to join in on the sleepovers Mabel hosts.
Mabel -> Amon: New friend!!! She loves his girly attributes, but teases him relentlessly about his height. It's really bad. On the bright side, she can give him sweaters that don't fit her anymore! Though since she donated most of them, she just makes him new ones.
Amon -> Stanley: Amon thinks Stanley's a weird old man at first. They both act very differently around each other, with Amon trying to stay on the best of his behavior so he doesn't get kicked out. Part of him likes Stanley, but most of him is absolutely terrified of getting kicked out by him.
Stanley -> Amon: Stan thought Amon was weird at first, and even if they don't talk to each other much Stanley's caught onto what Amon likes. He acts more stern around Amon so he pulls his weight, but he hates that Amon's so scared of him.
Amon -> Stanford: Fear.
Stanford -> Amon: Stanford wanted to dissect Amon and tried to the second he was alone with Amon. It gets worse.
Amon -> Town: Amon likes it here!
Town -> Amon: They like Amon! He fits right in!
SEASON 2:
Amon -> Dipper: Head over heels in love. When Dipper walks in he's getting all flustered and affectionate with him as if they aren't already dating. Half of his wardrobe is stuff Dipper gave him.
Dipper -> Amon: Madly in love. He likes studying Amon a lot, he's never met a demon that was so docile. He believes it's because they helped him when he was most vulnerable and sort of melded his brain to behave like a person. Mabel isn't allowed to give him sweaters anymore. That's Dipper's job.
Amon -> Mabel: Pretty much the same as before but closer.
Mabel -> Amon: Pretty much the same as before but closer.
Amon -> Stanley: Amon wasn't expecting to get so close with Stanley. But when his Dad never came back, it was sort of expected for them to get along. Amon didn't know he could purr until Stanley told him he was part of the family. It's his favorite noise to make now.
Stanley -> Amon: After finding out Amon's Dad abandoned him, Stanley pulled himself up by the bootstraps and decided to teach Amon how to take care of himself. It started out with just helping out with dinner, now Amon can pick locks, pick pocket like a season veteran and even lie to the police.
Amon -> Stanford: Slightly less fear. Stanford tried to kill him once Amon told the family he was a demon, and Amon's not quite over that yet. Maybe sometime in the future he will be.
Stanford -> Amon: Stanford doesn't understand why Amon's so scared of him. It was an honest mistake! At least in his eyes it was.
Amon -> Town: Amon loves it here!
Town -> Amon: They love Amon! Even if he is a demon, he's chill enough to be welcome anytime.

Highlight a FFXIV blog which has challenged you to think about an aspect of lore in a different way.
There are definitely quite a few blogs that have challenged me in that regard, but one of the first and most engaging was (and is) definitely @spotofmummery.
The character of Amon in @spotofmummery manages to fit comfortably into existing lore, whilst simultaneously exploring and extending it. It took a raid boss, from a raid I trundled through without really thinking about it too much, and promptly took me on an emotional journey that explores themes of power, politics, guilt, redemption and love.
It definitely made me think more about the character of Amon, what motivated him, both in the past and now, and the legacy of the Allagan Empire. What I initially interpreted as a fairly standard "psuedo sci-fi ancient civilisation destroyed by it's own hubris" trope, actually became much more engaging and tragic. Similarly the divergent path taken by the Amon of @spotofmummery makes both the "OC" version and the canon incarnation feel deeper and more complex, with a mixture of conflicting, and even contradictory, impulses and desires.
Plus the hat is always impressive!
