I have a question about the Pokemon teams? *grants permission to infodump*
thank you my beloved . since you didn’t ask something specific ill just babble
peppino’s mudbray and donphan are pokemon he’s had forever. he raised the donphan from a phanpy. the mudbray is older than it looks and could evolve but refuses to. his trubbish loves him very very much and showed up not long after he opened is restaurant. he is consistently looking for ways to get rid of it and failing. none of his pokemon are kept in pokeballs they just kind of.. hang out. it’s probably obvious what they all represent so I won’t go too into it but his mudbray and donphan have similar personalities to him, short tempered stubborn and hardworking. they aren’t easily scared like he is, but his trubbish is very skittish in the face of danger.
noises loudred and rotom are assumed to exist to make trouble but they are Pokemon With Jobs. They help out w his TV network stuff, rotom possesses cameras etc and loudred manages audio balance and does sound effects. His minun on the other hand has a similar personality to him, the cuteness is just a facade for a high maintenance little cunt. Sometimes Noise can be kind of a dick to his pokemon, and there are times when him and his minun do not get along bc of their similar personalities.
noisette’s pokemon are sweet and silly like she is, and they also pack a punch. swirlix bc food pokemon for cafe girl. her plusle is in love with noise’s minun, of course. if I didn’t go with the minun/plusle pair for noise and noisette I’d give noisette a buneary and noise a morpeko
brick is an unusually large alolan rattata that gustavo befriended (he also does not tolerate being put in a pokeball). makuhita is a pleasant little guy like him that can also punch you apart. slowking has a chill and laidback vibe but in a competent, guy-who-knows way. ideal pokemon to smoke a blunt with.
deciding on fake peppino’s pokemon was difficult... mimikyu seems like an obvious choice but it would only have worked if peppino had a pikachu which i don’t think suits him. his ditto almost exclusively copies peppino’s pokemon when they’re around. milcery’s goop looks similar to fake pep’s which was my only basis for choosing it LOL. i considered lickitung and lickilicky but they seemed like too obvious choices... a froggy I think is better since he is froggy too. I also considered haunter so that he would have a scary pokemon, and I still might replace milcery with it, I had already finished drawing that pic before I thought of it lol
that’s all my thoughts so far . I love you

Outsourcing au thoughts because I don't have and don't want a fandom blog and your undersiders thoughts are nice
Anyway undersiders Pokemon au team themes/types
Taylor: While the obvious choice is bugs, thatz wrong she runs normal monotype, probably 2 set up sweepers with guts or guts equivalent, (staraptor and zangoose as two very common pokemon with flavor about punching up a stupid amount and being solitary as they grow stronger but stil seen as not much. Also zangoose bitter rivalry vs the knife snake). Buneary that never ever evolves because she received it as a gift from Emma and she sorta kinda hates it. Hisuian zoarark to lean into the half feral, rabid, violence from the outside looking in while actually utilizing trickery and plans to not get stomped into the ground. She barely scrapes by when her setup sweeps fail and has very little plan outside of that though <3. Unrelated but Danny has a komala that interacts with Taylor more than he does
Lisa: Poison/Psychic mashup. Leans status team with only a single heavy hitter in the form of either an alakazam or gothitelle. Probably runs a mirror coat+counter wobaffet. Other than that, she has a crobat she inherited from her brother. It bites her very often and she pretends not to notice while still letting it drink her blood because I love irony(metaphor? probably a metaphor). I want to give her poipolr because it seems fun but alas alternate dimensions
Alec: Slaking. This bothers Taylor. Also, a Shedinja that he gets later with Aisha's ninjask. Rotom that possesses whatever electronic would be the most inconvenient for everyone else, and a mawile. He only gets three at most though+that Shedinja because he doesn't have to take care of it. I was originally going to lean into the more fucked up fairy types like grimmsnarl, shiinotic, and the aforementioned mawile, but that seemed too consistent. Heartbreaker is a fairy type trainer though and Alec got the mawile from him
Brian: Some big ol guys. He has the most theoretically dependable and consistent team in a defensive sandstorm+hazard team. Gigalith to set up sandstorm, aggron or sand stream tyranitar as an ace, with a metang as a secondary attacker. Bronzong for screens. Either an orthworm or skarmory for hazards. The team loses effectiveness very quickly when someone sets up a different weather effect because he doesn't have a way to set up sandstorm again
Rachel: Dogs. Arcanine, stoutland, snubull, houndoom. These two aren't dogs but she also gets either an ursaluna of an obstagoon. She has the most type coverage of any of the undersiders and does very well against anyone she does battle, but the commodity nature of battles and overall softness of the universe in pokemon mean she should have the luxury to not the engage in violence, so she just runs a breeder+shelter somewhere on a ranch and never meets the undersiders except maybe Taylor looking at some puppies
Aisha: She doesn't have a consistent theme besides bright, attention grabbing, and probably fast. Confident about a noivern+Jolteon+a very very loud bronzong. Probably a ninjask. I then get significantly less confident about a haunter and mimikyu.
Lily: Escavalier. Let's then lean into the precision with a mienshao and medicham. That's all she has when first meeting the undersiders, but she gets a bisharp and hisuian litigant later. March has an accelgor and it's her pokemon that wants to skin suit lily's Escavalier due to the whole stealing armor thing that accelgor and Escavalier do. March is still stalkery but it takes the form of keeping her in a basement. Lily starts as a gym trainer, Legend's probably, and wants to run the league circuit, but no shows the tourney after the first match to hang out with Sabah
Sabah; Not a battler, doesn't go on a journey so does the whole pokemon civilian thing of only 1-2 pokemon. Those are a mimikyu she makes costumes for and an aradios.
this is entirely a 'dude. you could've just made your own post.' situation particularly because i know jackfuckall about pokemon, but my sweet friend scarf Does know about pokemon, so this is now Guest Answer Hour where i showed them the non-spoiler bits and outsource my responses from them. under a cut because the ask itself is already long enough
taylor: i can't legally repeat what they said about this one because it wasn't very nice but the gist of it boils down to "picking Not bug types for taylor is trying to be subversive for no reason, yes the bug-themed character would use bug-type pokemon, come the fuck on"
lisa: gothitelle is a good pick, she runs mind games & support pokemon because that's her role on the team. doesn't type-limit herself but does pick an aesthetically and functionally coherent team. aiming for the intimidation factor and then to pull the rug out beneath her opponents feet. also see this scarfnote
also the more that I think about it the more that I think Yeah Lisa would absolutely have perish trap as an option for her team. you kinda have to if you’re a gothitelle user I mean you don’t have to but since that’s the only good shadow tag pokemon it’s a nice option even if it’s not your main draw Lisa’s whole thing is that she, like Brian, does not have much firepower, but she’s incredibly perceptive/charismatic enough to trap you on the field and talk you into a corner until you’ve made your own bed and it’s too late to bounce back. perish trap is a team archetype that relies on smart positioning and stalling, both of which are things Lisa excels at
alec: trying to avoid the fucked up fairy types is again subversive for no reason. only has one pokemon because he's too lazy (read: chronically depressed) to take care of more, and it's a hatterene (googled 'fairy type' and went for the first aesthetically-pleasing result he saw). how well it meshes w/ him is a pleasant coincidence. he named it something really stupid to the point where people question if he even cares about it but it's his best friend and they cuddle together every night and also own matching pajamas. had some kind of tiny cute fairy pokemon before he left heartbreaker but couldn't take it w/ him when he left, subsequently memoryholed it forever
brian: i'm just gonna. quote them because i understand next to none of this
"extremely reliable and dependent" cannot work with a monotype/weather team im sorry but pigeonholing yourself into one theme only makes your weaknesses more apparent. Brian’s team would be one that primarily consists of pivot pokemon that can take/redirect hits so that his teammates can get in a safe position. pokemon with defensive abilities/type immunities/substitute/protect, etc. all of those would be the Most Consistent pokemon that can eat hits from opponents while allowing the other undersiders to set up safely. the only pokemon I agree with on your lineup is orthworm, because of the earth eater ability + shed tail. other pokemon would be gastrodon for storm drain, amoongus for powder immunity/spore/rage powder/regenerator. Brian’s pokemon are constantly switching in and out of battle, he does not have much in the means of firepower, but that’s okay because he doesn’t in canon either. AND gholdengo I literally wrote that and forgot to put it lmao. good as gold is an insane ability + ghost/steel typing is solid defensively. this would probably be his only avenue of offensive pressure with make it rain, but I can’t see him using it too too often as, like I said, he’s pivoting a lot. if he reads a status move incoming, he’s sending that thang out he would also probably have an intimidate user on hand since those work really well with switching teams, but I can’t think of a great one off the top of my head right now
also tacking on my own addendum that brian's deal is "guy who is trying so hard to LARP at being pragmatic and normal and responsible despite repeatedly making some sort of objectively batshit risky decisions" so he's 100% like. super dependable consistent team but with a bit of flair he repeatedly tries to pull off nuts-specific shit with. and also he runs that shit like the military
rachel: the scarf verdict is dogs. all dogs. all dogs and you are out of your mind if you think she has anything but dogs. this is her Thing even more than bugs are taylor's thing. most offense-heavy & aggressive team. has Literally Every Dog Pokemon. all of them. has an arcanine that used to be brian's but she was so fucking insufferable about criticizing his care of it that he just fuckin' gave it to her
aisha: theme is "most annoying little fucks humanly possible." Annoying Little Freaks Menagerie, just like she collects in canon w/ the heartbroken. bright and attention grabbing is...the opposite of what she does while fighting? so absolutely not that. impidimp (duh), sableye, approximately 13 phantumps, and one (1) shiny yamask that may or may not be her dead best friend. and yes, she does let it possess her sometimes for fun!

ANYWAY POKEMON PROJECT VOLTAGE MIKU RATINGS (part 1)
Tumblr media
starting with the first ... i don't really like it . nothing about it screams 'psychic type' to me and it doesnt really mesh well with meloetta. i'm not a fan of the outfit in general (like what is happening with the hat) but the bag's cute i guess so 3/10
Tumblr media
this one's cute. i think rillaboom is a good choice and the cheerleader miku is fun. i'm not sure about the blue elements in this one though, wished they went with an orange to complement her pokemon. i do like the hair though 5/10
Tumblr media
another great idea for a pokemon! i always really like a big jacket and i think it's cute that her hair is the same shape as skeledirge's fire. i think the blue goes a lot better with this one as the red is still the focus with the cooler tones popping up in her tights and jacket. i'm not sure about the shoes or shirt. 7/10
Tumblr media
i love primarina but miku's outfit not so much. the tanlines are a fun idea but i just wish they'd been more creative for the water type than just a swimsuit. the hair and hat are pretty nice though, i like how the water texture on the hair, hairstyle and white eyelashes match her pokemon. 5/10 she's 16
Tumblr media
yeeehaw miku !!!! this one really looks like a trainer you'd fine in one of the games. the rubber boots and engineer outfit combo'd with the rodeo motif works surprisingly well. honestly no notes 9/10 just because rotom feels a bit random
Tumblr media
ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. best miku out of all of them imo. chatot is such a fun choice and i love how they match. everything about this outfit is just so FUN! the colors pop and all the accessories are so cute! love how her hair tails off like feathers. beautiful excellent showshopping 10/10
Tumblr media
suit is awesome. i like the tiny bits of lime green they really add some much needed color to the greys and desaturated blues of the rest of the outfit. the hair and shoes matching is cute. this miku looks very professional 8/10 don't give her a boob window
Tumblr media
i love aurorus so i was pretty bummed that this outfit was a bit of a nothingburger. she looks more like an ice type trainer than a rock type, which is especially obvious when this one released after the lapras one. to me at least, aurorus is a predominantly ice type with rock just being there because it's a fossil. the circus thing is fun but this doesn't do it for me. 4/10
Tumblr media
everybody loved this one so its no surprise i do too. flygon is another one of my absolute favourite pokemon and she matches well with it. i like the cactus hair and the cape. this would look more like a grass trainer if it wasn't for the muddy texture on her pants, the brown in the headscarf + hair and the tears on her cape. 9/10 we're losing a bit of mikuness with this one
Tumblr media
it's okay. i like the transparent material on the sleeves and shorts. not sure what's happening with the legs but the legwarmers are cute. i like the hair gradient 6/10 nothing really wrong with it it's just not a very standout design

assorted alola things because it's highly relevant right now. i will obviously not make anyone adhere to all of this, my only sticking point is satoshi being alola's first champion, but this is all base blog canon, mixing anime with a bit of game canon; i'm open to being loosey goosey with aspects of junk.
after becoming alola's first champion, satoshi stayed for another year to help with setting up the league as a recurring annual event, as well as to assist in ultra beast outbreaks & lend a hand where he could with aether in light of lusamine's. uh. pr disaster let's say.
restructured the preliminaries for the league from a 100+ free-for-all battle royal into first-come-first-fought 3v1 battle royals, extending the length of the conference but providing more safety for the trainers & a clearer view of the battles themselves, as well as adding entertainment value with more battles & extending how much time people might spend exploring & spending at local stalls.
ensured there are no requirements for entry beyond three battle-ready pokémon up until the top4 & six battle-ready pokémon for the quarter-, semi-, & finals ; only those seeking to challenge the champion directly are required to have completed the island trial challenge. the pokémon do not necessarily need to be caught or be legally registered to the trainer, but they need to be registered in some capacity as the chosen roster prior to battle.
satoshi returned for the third season to defend his title against kaki, that year's victor. as the previous year's conference victor, the exhibition match will be kaki vs champion.
satoshi left majority of league responsibility in the hands of kukui & the kahunas, up until recently.
due to talks with people more critical of the pokémon league, & particularly the alolan league's establishing, satoshi's switched a large amount of his attention to doubling down on making the league compatible with alolan tradition & the region's general conditions.
he's currently entirely caught up on what the aether foundation has been up to as far as anything digitally documented goes thanks to rotom — the dex's overenthusiasm & disregard for what counts as "confidential" means it's informed satoshi of these contents as well.
satoshi is on amicable-to-friendly terms with majority of team skull & doesn't hide or shy away from any advocacy for them, & is not quiet about rooting for any of them, especially ree.
he's likewise open about his favor with the alolan guardian deities, & is proud of his rivalry with kapu-kokeko. the rivalry is very common knowledge among melemele locals, & it's extremely public knowledge that the deity challenged satoshi & pikachu at the end of the first league's exhibition match & that, in a clash of z move versus z move, pikachu's 10mil volts defeated kapu kokeko's guardian de alola.
satoshi has come to terms with the fact that the choice of current conference location was an error on kukui's part & has advocated with him & members of the league association for the conference to be moved ; his past experiences on pasio have heavily inspired him to suggest creating an artifical island not far from aether paradise, also in the area roughly equal distance from all the islands' ports. preparations are still under way, but satoshi hopes for this to be completed in time for the 5th league season.
while staying in the region, satoshi has continued to live with kukui & burnet, & the recent addition of their son lei, & apart from the obvious pikachu, has both his alolan pokémon team on call & lucario, as well as other pokémon brought to alola, battle intent or not, & pokémon recently caught in the region ; while it remains with the other flying ride pokémon, satoshi's arranged for his ride gaburias to be entirely registered to him during his stays in the region, though it's free for anyone to page when he's elsewhere.

Good morning folks, I've got PMD AU on the brain today (and last night). I'm probably going to post the first part (and maybe second part?) of the R.escue T.eam story today
But more prominently, I'm thinking about what Poké P.03 would be. Again
I mean, Rotom is the most obvious (and extremely fitting) choice, but I've also been toying around with him being a Golett (Golurk feels way too big for him).
Maybe he is a Rotom, but through some certified Fucking Around And Finding Out, he managed to possess a deactivated Golett body? The Pokedex says the energy that powers Golett is “unclear”, but maybe it's close enough to ghostly electricity that he can take it over.

This game is super cute and I remember it being super fun. It’s another gen 4 Wii game which can be surmised from the pokemon on the cover with Piplup being present but no starters from gen 5. I do question why each pokemon was selected. Pikachu is obvious (it’s Pikachu’s adventure after all) Crogunk and Buneary were big in the anime around that time, and Mew is a big favorite. But like why are some starters final evolutions while others aren’t? Why is Empoleon here representing the Piplup line twice? Shaymin is a gen 4 legendary and so was Rotom (who has since been demoted). I know people love Munchlax but the choices just seem a little random over all. I know they all appear in game but idk. I do like the back ground like a aerial shot with the hot air balloon it’s cute. Also the rock carvings of Dialga and Palkia are a fun touch.

toriel: dubwool. closest i can get to goat for the time being
sans: either cubone or dusclops
papyrus: either marowak or dusknoir. i like him being the evolved version of sans, since sans is too lazy to evolve. i like dusknoir more for him but idk how i feel about ghost-typing for non-ghosts
undyne: gyarados. not the best fit but i think it works
alphys: sandshrew
mettaton: rotom. SPECIFICALLY mettaton ex is a fairy-type body alphys made. he's trying to pass as some regular electric/fairy humanoid pokemon/robot and not a ghost
(not sure about the other ghosts - i think maddy would be mimikyu? and napstablook could really be anything. i kinda like the the lavender tower ghost before you get the silph scope)
asgore: either dubwool or gogoat
gaster: missingno for a few reasons. both glitches, missingno can sometimes appear as the skeletons from the museum, it can be found on the coast of cinnabar island where the lab is. erm there's probably more i'm missing
asriel: SKIDDO this is like the most obvious pokemon choice for any character. literally a plant goat. and the shiny is asriel colored
flowey: i thought about making him a regular flower since flowers in undertale are distinct from monsters. if he were a pokemon i think flabebe would be cute
and the humans are still just humans 👍

Chrono Trigger Pokemon Teams: Lucca
Tumblr media
Alright, now its time for the third and final member of the 1000 AD trio, the brilliant scientist, Lucca Ashtear! Now, onto the pokemon justifications.
Flareon: As stated previously in the Crono & Marle teams, I deliberately gave all three of them one of the three original eeveelutions as according to their magical affinity. Also, I could totally see Lucca using Flareon as a heated pillow.
Tinkaton: As for Tinkaton, I went with her because Lucca uses a hammer when making melee attacks, plus it just feels right for Lucca to use a 'mon that builds it's own tools and is known for being a blacksmith.
Klinklang: Now, one might wonder why I gave Klinklang to Lucca and not Robo. Well, I decided to give Robo some more technologically advanced pokemon and Klingklang felt more fitting consider 1000 AD's level of technological development. So, I gave it to Lucca, which fits the inventor to a T.
Armarouge: At first glance it may seem weird to give a pokemon which is pretty clearly a knight to Lucca, someone who is decidedly not a knight in any capacity. Well, Armarouge's pauldrons can turn into a cannon for certain attacks which feels very Lucca-y. Plus with it evolving through the auspicious armor, I could see it evolving either in the middle ages with some armor it got there or evolving thanks to the armor upgrades Lucca routinely gets from Taban. Plus its psychic typing fits Lucca since she's definitely the brains of the group, or at least the member of the group who puts the most stock in her intelligence.
Rotom Heat: This one fits considering Lucca is an inventor, so having a rotom makes since what with their penchant for possessing appliances. Plus it being fire type fits for obvious reasons. Also it being electric type fits considering Lucca's connection to/implied crush on Crono (side note, I totally ship Marle x Crono x Lucca). Additionally, Lucca's inventions have been stated in the game to often go horribly wrong, which, in a world with pokemon, could partially be the fault of a rotom tailing her. Also, frankly, I could see Lucca casually inventing an appliance like a stand mixer or a washing machine despite setting out to make an entirely different invention, so a pokemon that is literally an appliance makes sense.
Galarian Slowbro: Finally, Galarian Slowbro was picked because it has a gun and its signature move is called Shell Side Arm, so it matches Lucca's weapon of choice. Also its psychic typing again fits Lucca's designated smart one personality to a T. Plus it being slow also makes sense with Lucca being one of the slower party members to my knowledge.

Ooh interesting idea. Chrysalis' (lich path) team:
Runerigus: Needed something spooky that was a ghost type but had a more corporeal aspect to it.
Sylveon: Something that evolves through friendship. Because despite the fact that he's, yknow, a lich (in progress) and is actually pretty damn evil a lot of the time, one of his strengths is garnering loyalty and covering up a lot of the uglier things he does. (Also big villain + friendship evo is such a staple for pokemon)
Marowak: basically obligatory but also because ember is a very important person to him
Dragapult: it's a ghost. It's a dino-dragon. I have so many dinos in my party that this felt like an obvious choice. But also? Would've done swarm path on him had I known about it sooner and I think this line fits that pretty well!
Lycanroc (Midnight Form): Dhampir -> something nocturnal, vampires have connections to wolves in some folklore and one of the bats was too overt a choice for him not being a full vampire
Rotom: Electric type because he's keeping The Machine up his sleeve. And Rotom, y'know, possesses stuff. As far as what form, he'd cycle them based on the situation, but default to the ghost-type one. It lives in that gauntlet that has all the electricity spells in it.
He's definitely using a full team because he's very ambitious and cares a lot about winning/getting his way. Ghost types are easiest for him to care for but he'd take good care of all of them regardless of difficulty.
Let’s try a new meme for our Knight Commanders, Barons, and Tav/Durges, what would their Pokémon team be? Do they have a type or gimmick their team is themed around? What’s their favorite type? Do they prefer strong pokemon or just their personal favorites? Do they use a full team or just their 1-2 favorites? Why do they like their favorites so much?

Don’t know if anyone remembers my pokemon OC, Adalene “Addie” Hart, who is a baker (origin of my bakery team) but I’ve been thinking about her lately and decided to go through all the current pokemon and see what her team/business would look like now.
I’ll be kind and put it all under a cut cause there’s lots of pictures. To note: While she only takes the usual 6 with her when she travels, she has many more than that helping at her bakery.
Tumblr media
First and foremost we have Slurpuff, the pokemon that started it all. Addie met Slurpuff when she was a child and it was still a swirlix. Her parents had gone out and decided she was old enough to be home alone for a couple hours. A swirlix wandered onto the property, and the two played together. Remembering that swirlix primarily eat sweets, she decided to try making cookies for it as a snack. She’d never cooked by herself before, and the two ended up making a mess of the kitchen, but the cookies, while not being perfect, weren’t bad for a first attempt. Her parents told her she could keep the swirlix on the condition that they clean up after themselves, and she had to keep it fed. This sparked her love of baking and confections. In the present day Slurpuff is her partner and uses its powerful nose to identify the best ingredients and let her know if a recipe needs adjusting.
Tumblr media
Next up is Alcremie. Addie actually has several Alcremie, one of each cream type, as they provide different flavors. Their purpose at the bakery should be obvious, providing tasty cream for the desserts.
Tumblr media
Of course milk is a necessity for a lot of baking, and so Addie has a miltank to provide tasty, nutritious milk.
Tumblr media
Eggs are another must-have, and while a bird pokemon might seem like the obvious choice, Addie opted for something a little more special: Blissey’s eggs bring happiness to any who eat them, and now so do Addie’s baked goods
Tumblr media
The fruit that grows from Tropius is known to be very tasty, and it’s been known to share it willingly. The fruit grows slowly though, so they’re saved for special occasions, and the goods made from them sell for a lot.
Tumblr media
Combee not only provides honey for baking, but helps to pollinate Addie’s personal ingredient garden (many of the pokemon help maintain the garden).
Tumblr media
Besides its aesthetic relevance, Fidough also produces a yeast that is good for cooking. Addie has definitely grabbed a handful of Fidough when distracted in the kitchen. “Yipe!”
Tumblr media
As gross as it sounds, Bounsweet’s sweat makes an excellent sweetener, and is so strong you only need a tiny bit. Great for treats low in sugar.
Tumblr media
Arboliva produces a delicious and nutrient-rich oil which it happily shares with others. This provides a healthier alternative to other cooking oils.
Tumblr media
Originally met as an Applin found in Addie’s ingredient garden munching on her apple harvest. She kept it because it was cute. It eventually evolved into Appletun, and now she sometimes uses its sticky sweet nectar and sweet crispy shed skin as toppings for some of her confections. It also eats bugs that might harm the garden.
Tumblr media
Vanillite, while looking the part of a sweet treat, also uses its cold breath to rapidly cool or freeze certain goods, hastening some prep time and helping preserve freshness.
Tumblr media
Greedent is another pokemon found in the ingredient garden, stealing berries. Instead of chasing it off Addie offered it food she’d prepared. After several times the greedent began bringing her berries from the wild in exchange for cooked food, and eventually joined her team permanently, helping out by foraging wild fruits to supplement the harvest (though training it to not steal from other gardens has been a challenge).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Addie has two Rotoms. While they don’t do much at the bakery itself, they’re very useful when traveling, taking the form as an oven and a fridge, allowing Addie to carry ingredients that need to stay cool, and bake even on the road.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She also has a pair of Indeedee who serve as wait staff for those who wish to dine in. (pokemon took our jobs!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And lastly, Sinistea and Polteageist. Obviously they do not provide anything edible for the bakery, or even any service at all really. They actually started as a bit of an infestation, favoring the beautiful tea sets Addie purchased to serve customers with. She eventually was able to make peace with them, and has been working on replicating the flavor of Polteageist in a less dangerous, conventional drink to serve alongside her confections. The indeedee have been trained to keep an eye out, lest the troublesome ghosts try to slip into a customer’s drink.

My Take On RTC Characters and Pokemon, feel free to ask for elaborations!
Ocean: I believe her parents, being the naturalists they are brought home a rescued Oddish, which then evolved into a female bellossom. Bellossom being her mascot for all her future campaigning. I feel like this pokemon suits her because of her backstory and the idea that she sees herself as a white sheep in her family. Which reflects her picking a bellossom over a vileplum which is a poison type.
Noel: He has a Lopunny. More particularly one with a French fur style he calls Lola Lola. His mother got it for him when he was young so he could express his more feminine side in a healthy way. His Pokemon shares his flair for the dramatics and compliments his style. This one was a tougher choice but I think Noel would work really well with a pokemon that can fit his fancy and tragic aesthetic while also being a pretty decent fighter
Mishca: Now he has an unevolved Panchan that while people thinks its cute, ends up beating up on any other pokemon in the vicinity. I chose this one for Mischa because of the obvious, it's a gangster looking fighter type. But its also still unevolved and in its cute stage which showcases Mischa's softer side that still yerns for love
Ricky: Now he has a Delcatty, specifically picked out of his parents 14 skitties. His pokemon is spoiled and in the afterlife Ricky holds her a lot to compenstate for the fact he didnt get to carry her a lot in life. He also has a rotom-dex that is a service pokemon for him that digitizes his school work and communicates for him to those who don't sign. I chose the Delcatty for him because...well duh cat. But also because it evolves with a moon stone which connects it to space. The rotom-dex is a nice touch for his nerdy side and offers him a way to explore the world in life
Jane Doe: Now this funky lady has a Phantump. She isn't quite she how she got it or if it was even her pokemon in life but it reminds her of a doll so she carts it around anyway. I imagie it in place of her actual doll. I chose phantump because its a ghost type, but also because its lore is a forgotten doll, which suits Jane so well.
Constance: My favorite girl has a slowbro. It was a gift for her birthday and she carries it everywhere. It reflects how people see her, cute and happy but content and unmotived. Not something you look deeper at. But during Constance's song, her slowbro evolves into a Slowking, dancing along and complimenting her confident happy side
Bonus: Talia is depicted with an Teddiursa

It’s been a while since I last posted about my Pokémon Trainer AU and I’ve played more games since. So here’s part two with T&T, AJ and other main characters but I don’t explain every single choice because I’m lazy.
Godot has a Gengar, for no reason in particular other than the glowing red eyes/visor. He had another Pokémon before the poisoning, but something happened to it (either it died or because he was in a coma for so long and Mia died it was given to someone else). I’m kinda tempted to say it was a Clefable because of the Gengar = evil Clefable theory but I don’t think Diego would have a Clefable, I just don’t see it.
Dahlia has a Salazzle and a Beautifly (thinking about how Beautifly are actually aggressive, particularly towards those of the same sex, despite being adorable)
Iris has a Froslass and Dahlia’s Beautifly (which recognises Phoenix and wants to beat the shit out of him)
Sister Bikini has a big ol Mamoswine
Ron has a Thievul and Desiré has a Boltund. I’m pretty sure the Pokédex says they’re rivals?? Which is fitting because Desiré hates (most) criminals, n that’s exactly what Thievul is to Boltund
Apollo has a Blaziken bcuz Pollo!!!! I don’t have many reasons I just looked at Blaziken and said “yes Apollo would have one.” Also Mikeko is an Espeon because I wanted to give Apollo a psychic type AND Espeon being the Sun Pokémon = Apollo being god of the sun is big brain
Trucy has a Zorua given to her by Zak and a Buneary Phoenix helped her to catch (kinda representing the darkness of her families past and the new hope and love being adopted by Phoenix brought)
Both Gavin brothers have a Houndoom, only Kristoph’s is a shiny because he was definitely the golden child who could do no wrong (I am writing Klavier’s backstory since Capcom can’t do it themselves). Klavier also has a Toxtricity for obvious reasons
Ema has a Morpeko (literally my favourite Pokémon headcanon oh my god they’re perfect for each other)
Lamiroir has a Primarina (also a match made in heaven)
Athena has a Rotom which possesses Widget and also an Ampharos because yellow. That’s it. I gave Phoenix and Apollo red and blue Pokémon so I gotta match.
ALSO GENERAL HC: mega evolution is canon in this AU. I accidentally gave almost all of the main lawyers Pokémon that can mega evolve. So Phoenix has Mega Lucario, Miles has Mega Absol (he’s only used it like once or twice tho), Apollo has Mega Blaziken, Athena has Mega Ampharos and (to make their rivalry even spicier) Kristoph has Mega Houndoom (and as a treat, following his arrest the mega stone is given to Klavier)
Kay has a Rookidee (I would’ve given her Murkrow but since von Karma has Honchkrow it just felt wrong???) and maybe something else idk
Sebastian has a Litleo, which he got from Blaise who has a Pyroar

I love your NSR\Pokemon Mystery Dungeon crossover! Just out of curiosity, what ‘mons would the other artists be? I was thinking Cosmoem or Minior for DJSS and Primarina for Sayu, but I dunno about the others.
Thank you, I’m happy that you liked it anon! 😚
And I’m glad you asked because I actually already have ideas for what the other artists could be (and will be very happy to draw them if other people want me to 😉)
I’ll list everything under a readmore since this is gonna get very rambly. Anyone’s welcome to give their thoughts and ideas in the replies too.
DJSS
There aren’t that many space-themed pokemon so narrowing down some fitting choices for him is hard but my first choice for him would be Deoxys, specifically the defense form since it’s more similar to DJ’s silhouette. They both can change their shape to some degree, they both have spaghetti arms, and they both have an orb as part of their designs, the only difference being DJ’s orb being his head and Deoxy’s orb in its chest actually being its brain. But if you don’t like the idea of him being a mythical pokemon then minior is a good option for him too, and a hilarious one because DJ is supposed to be a huge and hefty guy and then you got minior who is tiny. Aesthetically, Cosmoem would’ve been a good choice for him, but idk how I feel about assigning him a pokemon that’s literally described to be a lifeless cacoon.
Sayu
If we were to consider Sayu’s form changes, I would actually make her the entire Popplio line; Popplio being the 1st standard form, Brionne being the 2nd, and Primarina being the 3rd. I’ve also thought about what team Sayu could be too; Tila being Jigglypuff, Remi being Smeargle, Dodo being a Kirlia, and Sofa maybe being a Porygon or a Porygon2. In the PMD world, Sayu could be an illusion brought to life thanks to the efforts of Dodo’s psychic abilities and the like.
DK West
If Zuke is a Treecko/Grovyle, then by default DK West would be Grovyle/Sceptile. The reason I picked the Treecko line for Zuke is because of the chill vibes the entire line gives off, and West is pretty chill too in his own way. Otherwise, he could be something like a Gengar for its ability to manipulate shadows and a tendency to mess with others (i.e. Zuke)
Yinu and Mama
It’s pretty obvious that they’ll be a Budew and a Roserade because of the rose motif, although I think Yinu could work as a Roselia too. I think it could work for her character as a prodigy for a young child like her to have already evolved.
1010 and Neon J
I could be predictable and make 1010 the eeveelutions; Red/Zimelu = Flareon, Blue/Purl-Hew = Vaporeon, Yellow/Haym = Jolteon, Green/Eloni = Leafeon, White/Rin = Glaceon or Sylveon, but I also like the idea of making 1010 Pawniards and Neon J a Bisharp because all of Bisharp’s pokedex entries talk about how it commands its own troop of Pawniard. Plus Pawniard and Bisharp are all part steel type which works with their robot/cyborg aesthetic well
Tumblr media
With that said, I don’t not like the idea of making 1010 the eeveelutions. After all, what the two groups have in common is that while they’re both widely beloved they are also incredibly overrated. It just leaves the question of what Neon J could be because so far my other best pick for him would be Xurkitree, because both of them have a passion for dance apparently. And idk about you but there’s something very endearing about an extraterrestrial lifeform and a bunch of dogs adopting each other as a family unit. Sometimes a family can be some sentient cables and their five dogs.
Tumblr media
EDIT: FALINKS! Falinks is also a good choice for 1010 and NJ! Can’t believe I forgot about them they were so obvious 🤦‍♀️
EDIT 2: A friend from a discord server I’m in also suggested Silvally for Neon J for the eeveelution 1010s. Silvally Neon J can change his type to reflect the boys’ much like how he can use them as weapons in the final phase of 1010′s fight
Eve
It’s either Gardevoir or Medicham. Gardevoir can distort dimensions and its design suits Eve’s diva aesthetic well. But if Gardevoir’s too predictable of a choice, I also suggest Medicham because they both have a similar colour scheme (white and magenta) and Medicham’s mega evolution sprouts another pair of hands like how Eve can.
Tatiana
I want Tatiana to be some kind of legendary, preferably a fire type. Dialga sounds fitting because both of them have time control abilities, but then I saw someone suggest Groudon for Tatiana too which I also really like the idea of. Some less powerful and non-deity-like options I’ve considered are Entei and Moltres, both kantonian and galarian, though I think galarian Moltres matches Tatiana's intimidating stature more. I had also considered Arcanine for her too, even though it’s not a legendary pokemon in a true sense it is classified as ‘the legendary pokemon.’
BONUS
Kliff
I really like the idea of Kliff being a Rotom for his gift at hacking into machines and being tech savy.
Ellie the Alligator
A Totodile. They both almost look alike. She could be Team B2J’s third member

Wick (2015) Pokémon Teams Because Why Not
I just felt like making these, so here ya go.  I gave them all 6, but if they were in a game or if I wrote a story or smth, I would def shrink most of their teams.
Sam: Litwick, Lanturn, Umbreon, Kirlia, Growlithe, Falinks
Whether or not it’s a constant on their team, Sam needs a Litwick, and Lanturn is a secondary light-source Pokémon.  Umbreon also sort of counts here, being categorized as the Moonlight Pokémon.  The last three are headcanon territory.  Kirlia is the Emotion Pokémon, and I consider Sam to be a very kind, empathetic person.  Growlithe and Falinks both come from my headcanon that they’re an amazing friend and become close with the kids post-5AM, and I see them both as reliable Pokémon with a good sense of teamwork.  Plus, Growlithe is a fire-type.
Benny: Komala, Snorlax, Absol, Deino, Drowzee, Jigglypuff
Komala and Snorlax should be obvious; they’re sleep-based Pokémon, and Benny’s whole thing in Wick revolves around him sleeping.  Absol is seen as a bringer of disaster when it doesn’t cause it, just warn of it.  In my mind this is similar to how Mary blamed the twins for all of their problems, but I didn’t want to give both of them Absol, so I gave it to Benny, who I think believed her the most.  Deino is blind and known for attacking anything that gets too close, similar to Benny’s attack pattern and my headcanon of him having poor vision.  Next are Drowzee and Jigglypuff, both known for causing sleep (with Drowzee even being named Sleep in Japanese), and I can see Lillian giving him a Jigglypuff.
Tim: Yamask, Solrock, Phantump, Pawniard, Koffing, Ledian
Yamask not only has mask in the name, but it also has an alternate form, making it perfect for the twins to share!  I gave Tim the Unovan form, mostly because I thought the Galarian form fit Tom more.  Plus, Cofagrigus (its evolution) is a sarcophagus, which historically hold mummies, who are wrapped in bandages, referencing one of his lines.  Solrock is another Pokémon that comes in a pair, and I gave Tim Solrock over Lunatone as I see Tim as more of an active, day-time person than Tom.  Phantump is said to be derived from the souls of children who died in the woods (sounds familiar), and Tim is also known for dropping down from the trees for an attack.  Pawniard essentially represents his whittling knife.  Koffing is more of an ironic choice, based on my headcanon that he was asthmatic in life and died of an asthma attack.  In a similar vein, Ledian is said to live in areas with clean air and come out on starry nights.
Tom: Galarian Yamask, Lunatone, Zorua, Mimikyuu, Chingling, Abra
Just like his brother, Tom has a Yamask, though he has the Galarian variant.  This is because its evolution, Runerigus, is a large slab of stone broken into various pieces, a slight nod to his injuries as a ghost.  It is also a ground-type, and depending on how you evade him, you may be looking at the ground a lot when he’s around.  Lunatone is the partner Pokémon to Solrock, and I consider Tom more of a night owl.  Plus, to evade him, you may be looking at the moon quite a bit when he’s around.  Zorua and Mimikyuu come from his aversion to being looked at, with Zorua having the added bonus of causing illusions, like Tom’s ability to glitch your view when you look at him.  Chingling is a reference to one of his items, the rattle, and I believe he may just like soft sounds like that, making Chingling a good buddy.  Lastly is Abra, a reference to his teleporting (plus, its eyes are closed).
Caleb: Bunnelby, Dugtrio, Pikachu, Cubone, Drilbur, Linoone
Caleb’s main gimmick is the fact that he digs underground.  Thus, he gets three digging Pokémon; Drilbur, Dugtrio, and Bunnelby (likely a match with Lillian’s Buneary).  Then we have Pikachu and Linoone, two of the few Pokémon that can learn the move Extreme Speed.  With him being a track star, I thought that Pokémon associated with speed and movement would be fitting.  Lastly is Cubone, a reference to Cal’s decayed, skeletonized look as a ghost.
Lillian: Buneary, Frillish, Inkay, Ralts, Azurill, Wishiwashi
You had to expect a bunny Pokémon.  We have Buneary (preferably shiny so it’s pink, but y’know) and Azurill (eventually evolves into a rabbit).  Ralts is a reference to her ability to teleport the player.  Frillish is the only water/ghost type other than its own evolution, a reference to the idea that she died by drowning in the well, and it also comes in pink.  Inkay is a floating, adorable water-type, which reminds me of her.  Wishiwashi is a cute fish Pokémon that can be dangerous when used properly, which I think fits her being a cute little girl who can easily kill the player.
Bonus, Travis: Rotom, Porygon, Gengar, Pancham, Litwick, Lanturn
Rotom and Porygon are from his love of internet videos and phenomena, and Gengar is his subject; ghosts.  Pancham is the Playful Pokémon, which I think fits his personality nicely.  Of course, as one of the creators of Wick, he also gets a Litwick and Lanturn (candle and flashlight).
