My fave song has changed a lot over the years as my music taste has changed but my top 3 are probably the catalyst/burning in the skies/blackout. I also have to give a special mention to the messenger because it's the first song that ever helped me through an episode of depression, I always skip it though because it makes me cry lmao

Fave transition has always been the radiance into burning in the skies it like atomized my brain (pun ig intended) the first time I heard it on my shitty ancient walkman. Fave intermission track tho definitely wisdom justice and love also just because I love that mlk speech

If I had to pick a single favorite moment lyrically it'd probably be the repeat of "I'm holding onto what I haven't got" overlapping with mike's bit at the end of waiting for the end, it really does something to me

Researching this album genuinely is what got me into history and specifically the post war/cold war era, I had to do an interview one time for a college scholarship where I talked about my interest in the field & I was like how do I explain it's because of linkin park (I didn't I made up smt else lmao because I needed to be taken seriously for the money, but I kind of wish I had)

Also probably why I'm so obsessed with concept albums and albums that function as a full completed unit. I got into tøp because I was so intrigued by blurryface as a concept album and look where we are now. Same with starset (I would actually highly reccomend their first album transmissions if you don't already listen to them, I prefer vessels but transmissions scratches the exact same place in my brain as a thousand suns and spiritually I think it's very much in its footsteps even though afaik it wasn't directly inspired by a thousand suns/linkin park)
