you know how you can watch object show 87 and it is PAINFULLY obvious that it was made in 2016-2017 because of the irony-poisoning, edgy jokes, and outdated references?? i feel like the daily object show is a more /pos version of that. the fact that it was made by someone who clearly had way too much time on their hands because of the pandemic, the friday night funkin ost being used as background music, and the fact that the pill family are all based on jokes that were relevant at the time (despacito spider, a certain popular minecraft boy who's presence has aged very poorly). all of this means you'll watch the show in modern day and go "god, this reeks of 2020-2021." it's kind of beautiful in a way, the fact that object shows have existed for so long that certain shows are able to embody such different time periods in internet culture. also tdos doesn't have a character who's entire bit is that his name is a slur so it's still aged better than os87 by default
