rating the most common ways i misspell obi-wan's name on my phone
Obi-Wam Kenobi
6.5/10 - reminds me of the iconic 1980's pop duo wham
Oni-Wan Kenobi
8/10 - he is indeed a demonic creature to me <3
Obi-Wan Keobi
2/10 - this is the second most common mistake i make thanks to my clumsy thumbs, i rarely catch it, and it's not even funny. my autocorrect now accepts it as a valid word and i've removed it from my learned words once already
Obo-Wan Kenobi
7/10 - big win for the woodwind community
Obi-Wan Kenobo
8.5/10 - this is funnier than the previous typo in my opinion. it's at the end of his name, so the woodwind jumpscare feels more like a punchline
Obi-Wan Kenobu
9/10 - i've heard it's a great restaurant from my aunt, i'd genuinely like to eat there
Obi-Wan Kebobi
4/10 - could be funnier
Ovi-Wan Kenobi
0/10 - my most common typo. utterly cursed, but anything i say criticizing this one could be held against me. i hereby state that i remain ignorant of the connotations of this spelling, and assert that it gets a poor score based on vibes alone. i have deleted it from my autocorrect's learned words multiple times, but i make this mistake so often that it continues to haunt me

[ MEDIC ] sender arrives on receiver’s doorstep, badly bleeding . // Ahsoka for Obi-Wan; up to you whether or not Obi-Wan knew that Ahsoka knew he was hiding on Tatooine 👀
@ourstoriesunfold sent a meme from here - always accepting!
19BBY - The Fall Of The Republic & The Rise Of The New Empire Obi-Wan found himself docking at the Mos Espa spaceport on Tatooine far sooner than he would have liked, despite the cautious way in which he'd had to travel to avoid detection and the fact that it had taken him nearly a solid week. He'd had to commission a VCX-100 freighter before leaving Polis Massa with his precious cargo in tow, disguising the medical pod that the newborn would be traveling in for the duration of the journey as a cargo compartment in order to maintain secrecy and avoid suspicion.
It was a precarious situation to be certain, as the Jedi were now considered traitors to the Republic (the newly found Empire), but after shaving his face clean, cutting his hair and dawning far less flattering clothing than he would have liked, making him nearly invisible, he was off on his journey to protect one of the only surviving remnants of Anakin Skywalker-- his son, Luke. The moment Obi-Wan had made it into open space he'd sent an encrypted message to Tatooine ahead of himself, in hopes of reaching the only family that Anakin had left in order to warn them of his arrival. He very much doubted they would get it in time, but it was worth the risk it took to send it. The trip was dangerous, and he'd had to jump out of hyperspace more than once in order to avoid detection, but eventually (and with the help of a few maneuvers he'd actually learned from his former Padawan) he landed at his destination and personally saw to it that the cargo was delivered to the farm of one Owen Lars- stepbrother of Anakin Skywalker and the only family that his son, Luke Skywalker, truly had. At least the only family he was able to outwardly acknowledge. Once Obi-Wan had explained the situation fully with Owen (which took several days, during which Naboo was overtaken, and Darth Vader's identity was confirmed among those who knew him), he took his leave of the family and left Luke in their capable hands, alongside one medical droid, C3PO and R2D2. Then he made his way into the settlement and eventually found a suitable place to set up residence and await Master Yoda's signal to begin his new Force training. 09BBY - MOS ESPA, TATOOINE The near-ten-years following the fall of the Republic had been fraught with nightmares for Obi-Wan Kebobi, with visions of the man he had faced on Mustafar, the man so far from the child he had met on Tatooine, now the embodiment of everything that Obi-Wan had devoted his life to destroying: Murderer. Traitor. Fallen Jedi. Lord of the Sith.
Each night the terrors came and each night saw him cutting down his enemy all while begging for his enemy's innocence. For many long years, those nightmares saw him waking up drenched in a cold sweat with tears streaming down his face and the realization that despite everything, including his own Jedi training…
Obi-Wan still loved him. Master Yoda had said it flat out: Allow such attachments to pass out of one's life, a Jedi must--- but Obi-Wan had never let himself fully understand. He had argued on behalf of Anakin, had made excuses for him, covered for him again and again and again; all the while telling himself that it was simply his duty to his former Master, Qui-Gon, to honor the promise he had made. All the while the attachment he denied even feeling had blinded him absolutely to the dark path that his best friend and brother had begun to walk. Obi-Wan knew that in the end, there was only one solution to attachment and with the help of his eventual lessons with Master Yoda within the Force, he was able to let that attachment go. Or at least… he thought he had. It was a night like any other had been before it, filled with nightmares and adrenaline laced visions beneath his twitching eyelids, when something fundamental had shifted within the Force. He'd felt it first within his nightmares but his mind had initially contributed it to the nightmare itself, being one of flames and ashes and the screams that caused his heart to ache and his stomach to twist until he was grunting aloud. The feeling grew and grew, until he could practically feel the flames crackling from within and blistering his own flesh. When he inhaled it was hot and it burnt his throat, causing him to begin coughing and gasping for breath. He was plucked from his slumber only moments later, a sharp cry echoing out into the cavernous chambers he had set up for himself as the pain echoed throughout his entire body. The visions of flames had gone but the feel of them lapping at his flesh continued to haunt him until he was certain it must be some sort of punishment. He attempted to steady his breathing but the very act itself was nearly too much for him to bear, clutching at his abdomen and seeking out the cup of water he'd placed beside his bed. Once found, he drained it entirely in three seconds and was staggering to his feet within the next two. The glass fell from his hands as he swayed on his feet, hitting the stone with a small 'tink' before shattering into a million pieces. Eyes slipping shut, he allowed himself enough of a connection to the Force that the throbbing pain abated and he was able to stand up properly to survey the room around him. He had never had a nightmare quite so--- realistic before.
Pulling his hair back and tying it with a band, he made to clean the glass littering the floor and toss it into the trash bin. He was halfway to grabbing another glass when he heard the scratching at the entryway to his 'home'. Pale eyes shifted toward the direction of the sound as he stopped in place, muscles tensing and becoming still as a statue. One… Two… Three… Four--- The sound came again, louder this time and almost as if it were intentional. It wasn't a knock, but it was certainly meant to gain his attention and hopefully garner an investigation. His eyes narrowed as he made his way silently toward his tucked away weapon, brandishing it with one hand. Approaching the door and holding his breath, Obi Wan pulled the door open and aimed the barrel of his weapon at---- nothing at all. He frowned a moment before movement from below caught his eye, and when he looked down he felt the entire planet shift beneath his feet. His eyes widened, his mouth fell open just a bit and his weapon fell out of his hand all together and clattered to the dust beneath their feet. He felt a pang of relief and a jolt of ice cold terror at the sight he saw before him, and it took him a moment in his shock to actually get out anything resembling speech. "… Ahsoka? You-- You're---alive?" he hissed, quietly so that his voice wouldn't carry into the night. He knelt down at once without hesitation, hands moving to where he noticed quite a bit of blood and what appeared to be a nearly fatal wound. "Oh, young one--- what have you gotten yourself into?" he whispered, not expecting any sort of actual response as his now bloodstained hands slid beneath her in order to lift her enough to slide her inside and close the door. He had first aid, a bit of medical tech that he'd required early on and, if absolutely necessary... the living Force.

Quote
"I'm too drunk to drive," Fa'ale was saying. Anakin had already straddled the machine's narrow seat, and was studying the controls. "You leave that to me," he told her. With the flip of a switch, the speeder's engine coughed to life, then began to purr loudly in the hollow of the cave. Obi-Wan mounted a second sled, while Fa'ale was positioning herself behind Anakin. "That one, then that one," Anakin said, pointing out the ignition switch and the warmer. Demonstrating, he added: "Thrusters, pitch control, steer like this." Obi-Wan was instantly confused. "Like this?" "Like this, like this!" Anakin emphasized, demonstrating again, then indicating another set of switches on the control panel of Obi-Wan's machine. "Repulsorlift. But strictly for handling small ice mounds, frozen debris, that sort of thing. This isn't a conventional speeder - - or even a swoop."

I never got out of my mind that Anakins chip, that prevented him from fleeing as a slave, had to be removed when he became Obi-Wans Padawan.
Because Obi-Wan maybe didn’t even know about it, and Anakin was one day just like “Master, what about my chip?”
And Obi-Wan would have been like: “Your what?”
“My slave-chip, master! I tried to find it, but never did. Can we remove it?”
So they go to the medics, find the chip, and Anakin gets a bit nervous. “Master can I hold your hand?”
Of course, he can. Anakin tries to be brave, and soon, the chip is out. His wound gets bandaged, and he smiles at his master. “Master, I am free now!”
And Obi-Wan just can’t, because oh, what has this boy been through? He hides his fright and smiles back at Anakin. “Yes, Anakin, you are. You are free.”
And you will never be unfree again, Obi-Wan swears to himself, while his Padawan is already happiliy chattering again.

I agree with this so much. I'm working on a super angsty fic where Luke and Leia time-travel to save Anakin and the whole galaxy. And I wanted Leia's personality being similar to Anakin's to be a point of conflict in the story. First, I have never read a fic where Leia time travels. It's always Luke. So I wanted to see how she would do it.
Leia's relationship with Anakin is something I wanted to explore. I think she would find it harder to see past Vader. To her, Anakin is Vader, even if he hasn't fallen yet. She is not hopeful that they will succeed so she distances herself from both her parents in the hopes of not getting attached (to Padme) and not losing her temper (at Anakin). Luke is ready to forgive. Leia, while making a conscious effort to control her anger at Vader, and by extension, Anakin, still struggles to even be in the same room as him. And when they inevitably get alone, things come to a head.
Leia will make her pain known to him. There will be screaming. Maybe shedding of tears. There will be accusations. She will make him accountable for his actions. Not of Vader's actions (because he hasn't become Vader yet) but of all the times he acted on anger. All the times he let the darkness in.
But this is where she will forgive him too. This post (Only Us from Dear Evan Hansen) explains better Leia's eventual understanding, or rather, her desire to try to understand.
This fic doesn't have a title yet and is still being worked on. I have 2 chapters. It is the fic I will work on 3rd on my list of current fics. I am writing it at work when I'm bored haha (hence the angst)
Once I finish Will of the Force and publish it, I will focus on Love for the Chosen One. Then I guess it will be a race to see which one is finished first haha. Because technically my time travel fic has more chapters than Love for the Chosen One. But that's because im writing it at work.
Would you say Luke is more of a mama's boy and Leia is daddy's little girl?
I feel like that simplifies those relationships too much. I think Luke is more like Padme and Leia is more like Anakin, but I think each relationship is different.
I think Leia, for instance, is much more protective of each of their parents because of all the two of them have been through, while Luke tends to look to them for guidance more than Leia does.
Luke does a bit of idealization of Anakin, while Leia idolizes Padme quite a bit.
They're just different relationships. :)

I don't think people appreciate the Anakin and Obi-Wan vs Ventress fight in The Hidden Enemy enough like honestly it's quite possibly the funniest lightsaber duel in the whole show and maybe even the whole canon. First Ventress is just standing there in a dark corner for lord knows how long waiting for them to show up just so she can dramatically walk out into the light. Then she and Obi-Wan immediately start hitting on each other while Anakin is just standing there like "RIGHT in front of my salad!?". Then they fight for a bit and end up in that room with all the books or whatever those were and she uses the force to pull them all off the shelves and throw them all at them and they just throw them right back at her and mercilessly pumble her with...holobooks. Again, whatever they're called. Then they end up in yet another room where she just sits on the floor and goes all "oh yoo-hoo boys come and get me ;)" and these two himbos are actually stupid enough to just slowly walk towards her without their sabers drawn and she just stabs the floor and makes it collapse under them because apparently the construction workers on Christophsis have really shoddy craftsmanship. And then they all jump out the window and fall hundreds of stories. And keep in mind the fight started immediately after Anakin and Obi-Wan entered the building on the bottom floor and it ended on the top floor so who even knows how long the fight actually lasted. And while these three are clowning around Rex and Cody are getting actual work done without ever even leaving the base.

just as a reminder: as an infant luke was extremely colicky and would not tolerate being put down.  he had to be held at all times or he would scream his head off.
this means that for obi-wan had to hold him for like the first few days of his life almost 24 hrs a day or risk him crying endlessly

STARTER // OBI-WAN KENOBI || @sheresists
Be with me.  Be with me.  Be with me.  Be with me.
“I am with you, Rey.” The master said.  One moment there was no one there, in the next, the blue-trimmed spectre of the Jedi was sitting on the rocks across from her.  He waited a moment for the shock to leave her face before speaking again, “It is nice to finally meet you, young lady.  I have watched you with great interest these past few years.  We all have.”

So I got super bored at work yesterday and decided to try my hand at drawing. I never thought of myself as good at drawing but my girlfriend @smolnsleeepy pointed out that just like all other skills, drawing requires practice. So I’m going to continue drawing.
It looks rough cause it’s on receipt paper and that is hard to erase if you mess up. Which I did. Haha. Don’t look too closely at Anakin’s arms.
Because this is new and I’m not where I’d like to be yet, I will make a point to say what I like about each drawing.
For the first drawing I actually like how Ahsoka turned out. And I’m super proud of Anakin’s hair.
For the second drawing, I like Obi-Wan’s expression. Also I just like how I can tell it’s Obi-Wan. I didn’t have high hopes for my attempt. I have never drawn facial hair before.
