Putting stickers on their things, just a thought…

This is when they got reincarnated btw! Im still going to refer to their orig names as to not bring confusion.

Sanemi and Genya would notice their police batons had gone missing, searching for it in their office only for it to not be found. Coming home they realized their batons were on your bed, but it was modified.

It had hello kitty stickers on it, spongebob, random pastries, food, you name it. How’d you even get it without them knowing? They have no clue.

It took them hours of trying to peel it off and remove the sticky residue before having to ask for a replacement. They both sigh in defeat at the couch, sore fingers soaked in bowls of cool and warm water, easing the pain just a little.

You had to have a stern talking to, but for now their fingers need a break from all the sticker peeling.

Gyomei not even noticing it as he continues on his day. His caretaker id covering up his name with stickers of all kinds from the kids were given.

But Gyomei never leaves his items unattended, at work ofcourse. At home he’d place it in one spot every day as a routine in order for him to not lose it all around the house.

There was something a bit off as he put on his id, but regardless he had to get to work. Only to be approached by one of the kids in the daycare asking why his id got the most famous cartoon mascot on it.

At the end of the day he feels his id around with his nails and sure enough he can feel something peeling. He asks how you even got ahold of the stickers, and you explain that he brought some home one day and you decided to spice his id up.

Mitsuri and Obanai would be visited by you occasionally at their restaurant. Bringing them cute gifts from wherever you went that day that reminded you of them.

Occasionally youd bring food or any type of snacks for the two, only this time you brought them stickers, since most of the foods and snacks were either way out of the budget, or not worth buying.

Mitsuri thought it was cute, but Obanai couldnt really care less, as long as she was happy. Though, as soon as Obanai left you and Mitsuri unsupervised, you both decided to have a bit of fun.

Sticking the stickers to one another and giggling like fools, putting it on random places one another couldnt reach without another person having to help remove.

It was all fun in games until they started to fall off and onto the wooden floor boards. Obanai coming back shortly, seeing you twi giggling while he quietly fumes at how the hell is he going to get the stickers off the floor.

Needless to say you and Mitsuri got scolded, ofcourse she got off easy, being scolded lovingly while you weren’t. You had to spend the rest of the visit finding ways to get it off the floor while mitsuri looked up solutions on google.

Woah, writing a second time? Golly me, dont expect this to be a common occurrence im just really bored… I couldnt really remember anyone else that was an adult in the reincarnation, so lmk if you remember any!

First; Rengoku's sweet potato taisho era secret was actually already featured in a TV special for the spider kids arc. I thought if they were going to include Rengoku on the hashira taisho era secrets this season they would use his taisho era secret about wanting a pet growing up ?? But I guess they couldn't animate that ? Even if it were just seen as a memory ?? Second; idk if I got a weird translation but my version seemed to imply Rengoku wasn't really dead though obviously we know in series continuity he is, I been speculating for a while now that when Demon Slayer closes its likely another series with the characters will be picked up. My theory is either an anime adaptation of Kimetsu Academy or Demon Slayer hashira prequel. I've been more leaning towards Kimetsu Academy, & I was kind of spurred into thinking that due to the Naruto Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals spin off having a similar aura. But for a while I was thinking the prequel had good odds because I felt like people were interested in seeing pre Tanjiro era hashira interactions, like Short arcs based around the different hashira or hashira pairs. Especially because Rengoku & Tomioka have backstory comics that aren't featured in the original series. Then Shinazugawa & Shinobu received backstories in the light novels. I was also thinking about how interesting it would be to see Kanae before she died & Mitsuri as Rengoku's tsuguko. Though I thought such an idea couldn't really come into fruition until after Kimetsu Academy runs as an anime for a couple years. I was more curious after the digital board game released, there was a ton of care put into character's personal interactions, which I felt plants a seed for people to start wanting to see the hashira interact more, & I did notice after release more people did start to show interest & beg for a hashira prequel series. I felt Ufotable was capable considering the first episode of Mugen Train was entirely written by Ufotable. But then you can correct me if I'm wrong, I thought the whole Hashira Training opening with Obanai & Shinazugawa was not in the comic & was again entirely written by Ufotable ? I felt like this could be an example of testing the waters to write an animation only material for Demon Slayer that does show hashira interactions. Coinciding with this, I guess Aniplex is actually doing something similar with Mascots at Aeon Mall, though admittedly, I'm not following that too closely. What I mean to say is, I think it's even more likely a hashira prequel series would get made. I was even more curious that Mugen Train ended up being the highest grossing movie of all time, Rengoku's merchandise is the most coveted out of all the characters in the entire series. Despite dying early, he's made it into every single light novel & he's got a feature in roughly every five chapters of Kimetsu Academy, which results in him being featured in every book release. I speculated, though I haven't seen any statistics to say one way or another, that collaborations & events featuring Rengoku might have a higher turn out rate & higher profitability than if he doesn't get included. Like, making sure he features in every book means every Rengoku fan is going to buy those books just for his stories. I doubt a prequel series would make him the main character because I do think all the characters are compelling & beloved, but when thinking statistically about profitability, Rengoku already proved himself as consistently the most profitable character in the series. I think it makes sense to make a prequel series because there's more profit to be had on a timeline where Rengoku didn't die. At the same time, it is wishful thinking on my end, because that is what I personally want to see. I'm just curious because he is the money boy & now people are asking more consistently for a prequel series… 🤔

NOT THEM QUOTING MEAN GIRLS AT EACH OTHER STOP- gyutaro does so begrudgingly because daki made him watch it and yes it was fine (he loved it) but people can't know okay, meanwhile tengen lives and breathes this movie and it gets on everyone's nerves. obanai let himself get talked into watching it with him though because he had never heard of it and didn't understand 60% of tengen's and gyutaro's arguments

makio's just like sigh. before she grabs the other two and they drive to the hospital where they run into daki and then makio and suma give tengen a lecture on picking fights while hinatsuru (she thinks the argument is stupid) drives the siblings home because gyutaro is knocked out cold with painkillers and there's no way daki has her license, she's a passenger princess supreme

i love the idea that kanao doesn't actually mind the comments that much but then she starts minding them on behalf of obanai because she sees how much they get to him but on the other hand she kind of loves when he gets so protective, like you said. also her being a bit envious of genya is so funny to me because you know if genya found out he'd just be like why and get war flashbacks to all the times sanemi wiped the floor with him (also shinobu would get so offended- "i just think it's kinda sweet how protective he is, it's nothing against you." - "you know i could easily kill a man, right?" - "shinobu-" - "and it would be significantly less messy than sanemi killing a man, let me tell you." - "shinobu." - "they would never catch me." - "SHINOBU")

every time the guys rage against akaza, all mitsuri can think of is that one time when she and koyuki did a sleepover and akaza brought her sakura mochis from his grocery run without her asking for anything even though they didn't even know each other that well (she was eleven, you don't talk to your friends' scary older siblings at eleven) and she's not even sure akaza remembers but she'll never forget that

little piece of awful teacher muzan from the sanemi fic for you, plus a small teaser about the topic of that segment:

miss inosuke-sama is the inofficial school mascot at this point, even the teachers miss her when she's not around - he 100% brings her to graduation and lets her take his certificate in her little snout. every time tanjiro hears the little pig snorts from inosuke's bag he already cuts his own sandwich in half because he knows inosuke will complain about not having anything to eat later <3

that lovely anon put the modern au back on my mind and i actually got started on the next hc post about the kamaboko squad, yey! (when will i finish it? uhh next question)

for the time being, here's some random lore i cooked up during the great lung infection of december 23

tengen and gyutaro have a blood feud going on and there's plenty of theories on how it started. some say it was because gyutaro got a little too flirty with hinatsuru at the club right in front of tengen, some say tengen may or may not have called daki a bitch to gyutaro's face. insiders know that tengen actually called her a cunt.

the people are split on the topic; obanai finds himself 100% on tengen's side for once because the one time they actually met daki called kaburamaru a worm, tanjiro is conflicted because daki is kind of a bitch but tengen really should be above having beef with a 16 year old and also it's a rude thing to say, douma thinks gyutaro should challenge tengen to a duel, and their mutual friend akaza wishes tengen and gyutaro would just get over themselves and act like adults for once instead of driving him insane with their endless complaining about each other. everybody else refuses to take a stance but is thoroughly entertained by the whole thing

anyway the whole thing culminated in an epic fist fight that sent both of them to the er at 2am and they have not been in the same room since

(daki is 16 and gyutaro is 20, i took some liberties with the demons' ages)

the layout of the unnamed town in which this au exists is essentially a valley surrounded by the mountainiest mountains to ever mountain and lots of forests, the town is pretty much middle of the road in terms of size; it's certainly small enough for people to be nosy af

the majority of the cast lives in the same part of town except for urokodaki, sabito and makomo (urokodaki's dojo is on one of the mountains and a bit outside of town, sabito lives with roommates while going to university tho) and gyomei who used to live on the other side of town until he started attending university

obanai and kanao weren't born in the valley and are both from the same city. kanao was adopted by the kocho family when she was seven years old, around the same time obanai became a nationwide sensation after every other member of the cult he grew up in died

obanai finds out about this when he starts spending more time with kanae through sanemi and meets all of her sisters and he gets fiercely protective whenever people try to tie kanao back to the cult, he'll snap at anyone who dares to accuse her of having connections to them

koyuki and mitsuri know each other from elementary school and stayed friends all throughout their teens which makes mitsuri the first one who accepts akaza into their circle when he gets together with kyojuro because while he is indeed a little scary she has seen how much koyuki loves her adoptive brother and she can't be that bad of a judge of character

senjuro and rui are in the same class in elementary school and they immediately flock together, being both shy outsiders and somewhat lonely kids. despite being sickly rui is a rascal who helps senjuro get out of his comfort zone and loosen up every now and then, meanwhile senjuro always keeps an eye on rui and always comes over when rui is feeling too weak to go to school

added bonus of rui hating that he's an only child and kyojuro being more than happy to insert himself as an older brother figure

sanemi and tengen become friends when sanemi is in ninth and tengen is in eleventh grade; they both have to do detention with muzan (their awful history teacher) and immediately hate each other until sanemi gets into a discussion with muzan and tengen notices hey this feral bastard is pretty cool actually. tengen helps sanemi with the detention work later on because ofc muzan isn't accommodating to sanemi's dysgraphia in the slightest and sanemi has to admit to himself that maybe the loud diva isn't half bad.

they leave the detention in an awkward state of mutually appreciated coexistence and sanemi spends the whole weekend anxiously trying to figure out how to proceed but luckily tengen is intrusive af and has absolutely zero issues welcoming himself at sanemi's, mitsuri's and giyuu's lunch table the monday after and from then on getting closer feels rather natural

inosuke lives with his mother and hisa and owns a pet pig. the pig's name is miss inosuke-sama because he wanted to name it after himself but then his mother told him that it was a "girl pig" and he added the miss in front of it because it felt disrespectful not to do so. needless to say inosuke and miss inosuke-sama are best friends for life and when he brings her to his first day of kindergarten it does get him in trouble immediately but also his new friend tanjiro is sufficiently charmed and if that's not a win then honestly what is

HELP GYU AND TENGEN FIGHTING KJRKJERKJEJKR It's some Romeo and Juliet 1968 levels of ridiculous where everyone just kinda ran out and mosh pitted in the middle of town square- only instead it's Tengen and Gyutaro and their constantly throwing childish insults and mean girl quotes at one another ("Nice wig, Tengen what's it made of?" "Your mother's chest hair" "WHY YOU-"

Oh gosh the one time Obanai's on Tengen's side jkakjajrkejkr I feel like their mutual anguish for Daki brings them closer you know? I'm with Tanjiro though- while she may be..difficult, Tengen really shouldn't be beefing with a 16 year old at his grown age ajkrkjarjkearjk Douma suggesting a Duel (he'd be in his Hamilton era) and Akaza being over it is a MOOD!

THE FIST FIGHT I CANNOT- Makio gets a call from Tengen all: "Hey babe...so I won't be coming home tonight.." with a selfie of him getting stitches and Gyutaro on the opposite side of the room with his leg in a cast half out of it as the pain meds kicked in.

Oo, I love the idea of the town being a mountain area! It fits with the whole forests and wisteria set up in the show, plus everything being just big enough to hold everyone but juuuust small enough to keep them in everyone's business is such a charming thought!

Protective Obanai! I love a good rare pair! I feel like Kanao's the type of girl who could utterly destroy you verbally if she feels like it but it's so rare that most assume she's incredibly non-confrontational (which, for the most part is true? Maybe not incredibly but like- she's came to peace that no matter what she says to the people trying to tie her back to the cult they'll never listen so she lets them run their mouths) but also appreciates Obanai being such a protective soul to her? While her sisters are incredible, she couldn't help but feel a little envious of Genya having such a ferocious big brother in his life so Obanai kinda fills that void for her, you know?

Ahhh Mitsuri! She's such a queen- I love how accepting she is! She's the type to see past all the rumors and fronts people put up, so while others might see Akaza's scary outsides, she's been around him enough to witness his gooey insides too. Also Senjuro and Rui being classmates and besties makes my heart so happy- Rui is truly a little rascal and Senjuro being both a good friend and someone to support him AH!

Tengen and Sanemi lore!!! Muzan being a crappy teacher fits the bill to a tee- and Tengen first hating Sanemi's guts but slowly and begrudgingly growing to like him is so canon I can't ajrkeajrkjeakjraekjlr Him squeezing his big ol muscular self beside Sanemi like "What up party people?" is just- God I love it so much!

Inosuke's pet pig!!! Miss Inosuke-sama! He absolutely sneaks her to school even in his high school years; it's not uncommon to hear pig snorts and wiggles in his backpack- or hear a distant "MY LUNCH!" from Inosuke whenever she eats his sandwich. Tanjiro is so delighted even if he's equally panicked cause "how do you hide a pig at school???" It becomes such a common sight most grow accustomed to it that when Inosuke doesn't bring her everyone's anxiously wondering if something happened to her. Then they're immediately reassured when Inosuke tells them his mom found out and wouldn't let him bring her anymore.

random assortment of useless headcanons for : phi , hawks , takashi mitsuya , mina ashido , flora , miu iruma , mitsuri kanroji & chifuyu matsuno !

for no other reason aside from seeing how humans view his species , phi reads a lot of sci-fi books . he doesn’t like em all that much , he prefers to read history books or reads books about fine arts in various different countries , he finds it amusing how people think he may appear or act . in fact , he does appreciate the imagination but he can’t help but find those who believe in aliens & depict them in the typical fashion one of the most ignorant people to walk the earth . if someone says he doesn’t ‘look’ like an alien he’ll get mad real fast .

hawks realizes that he has an unhealthy dependence on energy drinks & just about anything caffeinated . he has at least 2 large energy drinks a day & coffee in between . it helps keep him sharp while fighting crime & doing other investigative work .

whenever the tokyo manji gang has parties everyone is prepared to clear the dance floor for takashi mitsuya cuz this boy can dance & everyone goes absolutely nuts .

careful with mina ashido’s horns , they are very sensitive & she doesn’t like when people touch them . if someone reaches up to pat her head she tenses up a bit & warns them about touching em .

if anyone comes to flora’s house / mansion ( or castle ) they have to be prepared to witness some of the craziest shit ever . just hang out with her & you’ll see her cat fly , her cat will sit out mini me’s from his mouth , might gobble you up so u can wear him like a mascot suit & might summon a whole bunch of demonic cats ! in fact , here’s a link to an old post about the strangeness that is flora’s life . not to mention her house is ridden with ghosts & demons .

while extremely extroverted , miu iruma often finds herself cooped up in her room for days at a time . she’s usually tinkering away at things & finding ways to improve the things in her house or repurposing them entirely . funnily enough , a lot of her social energy can be sufficed whenever she rambles to herself while she’s working .

chifuyu matsuno is badass n’ all but he’s such a fucking goof . he thinks he has all the answers , like the universe whispers to him or whatever , but of course that isn’t true . ‘something like this happened in a manga once , therefore do this’ ; that’s how he operates sometimes . he’s clever , don’t get me wrong , but he has his moments . he genuinely thinks he can talk to animals . how many stray cats have to claw chifuyu for him to understand that he isn’t an animal whisperer or something ? many , apparently .

mitsuri really likes doing peoples makeup ! when she was under kyojuro’s wing he allowed her to put eyeliner on him & occasionally eyeshadow . she does full on makeup looks for shinobu & the girls at the butterfly estate . tengen , his wives & mitsuri all do each others makeup * paint each others nails . muichirou doesn’t mind so he allows her to do something small . obanai doesn’t want her to look at his face for too long but he totally loves watching her do her makeup — especially when she applies lipstick or lip gloss .

alsooooo , mitsuri doing some e-girl makeup looks for @swordsxsakuras nezuko ??? i think she would .
