The Federal Communications Commission this week voted to raise its internet speed benchmark for the first time since January 2015, concluding that modern broadband service should provide at least 100 Mbps download speeds and 20 Mbps upload speeds.
An FCC press release after Thursday's 3-2 vote said the 100 Mbps/20 Mbps benchmark āis based on the standards now used in multiple federal and state programs,ā such as those used to distribute funding to expand networks. The new benchmark also reflects āconsumer usage patterns, and what is actually available from and marketed by internet service providers,ā the FCC said.
The previous standard of 25 Mbps downstream and 3 Mbps upstream lasted through the entire Donald Trump era and most of President Bidenās term. There has been a clear partisan divide on the speed standard, with Democrats pushing for a higher benchmark and Republicans arguing that it shouldn't be raised.
The standard is partly symbolic but can indirectly impact potential FCC regulations. The FCC is required under US law to regularly evaluate whether "advanced telecommunications capability is being deployed to all Americans in a reasonable and timely fashion" and to "take immediate action to accelerate deployment" and promote competition if current deployment is not "reasonable and timely."
With a higher speed standard, the FCC is more likely to conclude that broadband providers aren't moving toward universal deployment fast enough and to take regulatory actions in response. During the Trump era, FCC chair Ajit Pai's Republican majority ruled that 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speeds should still count as "advanced telecommunications capability," and concluded that the telecom industry was doing enough to extend advanced telecom service to all Americans.
2-2 Deadlock Delayed Benchmark Increase
Democrat Jessica Rosenworcel has been the FCC chair since 2021 and was calling for a speed increase even before being promoted to the commission's top spot. Rosenworcel formally proposed the 100 Mbps/20 Mbps standard in July 2022, but the FCC had a 2-2 partisan deadlock at the time and the 25 Mbps/3 Mbps standard stayed in place a while longer.
Biden's first nominee to fill an empty FCC seat was stonewalled by the Senate, but Democrats finally got a 3-2 majority when Biden's second pick was confirmed in September 2023. Thursday's 3-2 party-line vote approved the 100 Mbps/20 Mbps standard and a report concluding "that advanced telecommunications capability is not being deployed in a reasonable and timely fashion," the FCC said in its press release.
That conclusion is "based on the total number of Americans, Americans in rural areas, and people living on Tribal lands who lack access to such capability, and the fact that these gaps in deployment are not closing rapidly enough," the press release said. Based on data from December 2022, the FCC said that fixed broadband service (excluding satellite) "has not been physically deployed to approximately 24 million Americans, including almost 28 percent of Americans in rural areas, and more than 23 percent of people living on Tribal lands."
A draft of the FCC report was released before the meeting. "Based on our evaluation of available data, we can no longer conclude that broadband at speeds of 25/3 Mbpsāthe fixed benchmark established in 2015 and relied on in the last seven reportsāsupports 'advanced' functions," the report said. "We find that having 'advanced telecommunications capability' for fixed broadband service requires access to download speeds of at least 100 Mbps and upload speeds of at least 20 Mbps. The record overwhelmingly supports increasing the fixed speed benchmark in this manner."
The report also sets a "long-term speed goal" of 1 Gbps download speeds paired with 500 Mbps upload speeds. The FCC said it intends to use this speed goal āas a guidepost for evaluating our efforts to encourage deployment.ā

The Gilded Age's Broadway Divas: Mrs. Bruce (Celia Keenan-Bolger)
Despite having a largely underdeveloped Downstairs role in The Gilded Age, Mrs. Bruce runs the Russell household like a tight ship. From averting near-disastrous soup escapades, to catching escaped dogs in the dusty streets, she approaches her job with no-nonsense competence, all while totally unable to reach the high shelves.
For the first time, Celia Keenan-Bolger (45) has broken free of her child typecast cage to play a fully grown adult with adult responsibilities and it must be such a thrill for her. Those unfamiliar with Celia may not be aware of her illustrious career playing children on Broadway as a grown adult.
In 2005, Celia (26) made her Broadway debut in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as twelve-year-old Olive Ostrovsky, a precocious spelling bee contestant who should have won, dammit, and I'll die on that hill. In 2011, she (31) played thirteen-year-old Molly Aster in Peter and the Starcatcher, nominated for a Tony the same year as her brother Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies). In 2018, she (40) starred in To Kill a Mockingbird as six-to-nine-year-old Scout Finch, for which she won a Tony. This coming spring, Celia (46) will once again be a child on Broadway as she takes on the role of Jessica Lange's teenaged daughter in Mother Play. (List non-exhaustive)
#1: "Green Finch and Linnet Birds," Sweeney Todd (2002)
youtube
In one of her earliest professional roles, Celia (24) takes on sixteen-year-old Johanna Barker, the daughter of the titular Sweeney Todd, who has become Judge Turpin's ward. This is not great for her. But the role was. Too often, this particular song gets the short end of the stick. It's long, slow, and very high, yet Celia approaches it with a controlled vibrato that makes us all sigh in relief.
The Kennedy Center production featured a fantastic cast, including Mary Beth Peil as The Beggar Woman, Broadway's Leading Man Brian Stokes Mitchell as Sweeney Todd, and our very own Agnes van Rhijn, Christine Baranski as Mrs. Lovett.
#2: The Light in the Piazza - Pre-Broadway (2003)
youtube
Before Kelli O'Hara took on the role of Clara Johnson, a young woman whose mental development stunted at age twelve after being kicked by a horse, the role belonged to Celia Keenan-Bolger (25). Ultimately, when the production moved on from Chicago, the creative team decided they wanted a Clara who was a little older. Kelli, who had been playing Francesca, the sister-in-law, was unwilling to "steal" a role from someone she considered a dear friend, but either way, Celia was out, so Kelli was in with minimal damage to their friendship, which persists today.
However. Some years later, when South Pacific was auditioning their Nellie Forbush actresses, the final three came down to Kelli O'Hara (who got it), Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Victoria Clark, who won a Tony for playing Margaret, Clara's mother, in Piazza. Talk about awkward.
#3: "The I Love You Song," The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (2005)
youtube
Losing out on Clara wasn't all thunderclouds for Celia (26). Shortly after, she landed a role in the off-Broadway production of Spelling Bee, and when it transferred to Broadway, she received her first Tony nomination.
In this scene, Olive sings the most heartbreaking and beautiful number in the entire show. It is just devastating. Up until this point, the show is a barrel of laughs, and then suddenly you're sobbing your eyes out over a lonely little girl in a bad home situation.
Will Celia Keenan-Bolger ever be allowed to play an adult again? How long until she is no longer able to play children? How did she get the role of Mrs. Bruce if she's only allowed to play kids? All questions we have no answers to.

FANTASY WRITING ASK - ANSWERED #2
This was question #2 from @aohendo
King- How prevalent is the government in your stories?
Abriella is Queen and Cruz is King of Imperium and Caligo, Kellen rules Uffern, and Leviathan is over Pustota. The functions of the ruling of these realms is not dived into extensively. The rules and laws of the realms is discussed at times, as it relates to the story, but because it is not vital to the story as a whole, it does not come up a lot. You're not going to get scenes of Abriella having to meet with the local demon farmers coop about zoning ordinances, or the details of Grae negotiating a treaty with a similar realm. I try not to bore people to death. High level overview tends to go best.
For Imperium and Uffern, the social structure does come up, more so than government per se. Uffern still having slave classes of beings, and Imperium having Royalty and Landed Gentry. As these are realms ruled and inhibited by a variety of creatures, mostly demons, the human morality of it is not broached as the morality of the realm is different than the Human Realm. Just because I write about something does not mean I approve of it. If you pay close attention you can see where that come into play repeatedly.
There will be times that the laws and rules are discussed some. It is more situational as opposed to an info dump as part of the world building. Already we have had mentioned, for instance, that Kaylin was going to have to ask Abriella and Cruz to change the laws of Imperium to allow her to be with Asher. What the laws are is never spelled out specifically, nor does it need to be for the story, and that is how it shall go in the future too.
I hope that answers it well enough. Government and politics is something I try to avoid throwing too much in because you'll always manage to piss of a large number of people no matter what you do.

THIS SURPRISED EVEN US
The core users of News. Fashion magazines could be made more precise.1 Hackers are not stupid, and unanimity is very rare in this world. But if we're going to make a complete catalog of a number of independent things.2 You'll have to adapt to this. Dropbox was part of a Boston batch, which means all those Boston investors got the first look at Dropbox, and none of them closed the deal. Fixed-size series A rounds. If you're already profitable, on however small a scale, it shows that a you can get. I didn't realize, till there was an alternative, just how artificial most of the writing in the mainstream media was. But it was nearly as bad at Cornell.3 Most people don't really enjoy being mean; they do it because they can't help it.4 Those are both good things to be.5
Really, it's Apple's fault. These are some of the most surprising things I discovered during my brief business career was the existence of the PR Society of America gets to the heart of the matter. But partners and suppliers are always complaining. We plan to mine the web for these implicit tags, and use investment by recognized startup investors as the test of whether a company was a real startup. Search for a few key phrases and the names of the clients and the experts, look for the client. Amateurs I think the reason Google embraced Don't be evil so eagerly was not so much that they've done work worth tens of billions of dollars, but that would be an extraordinary bargain.6 But it was also something we'd never considered a computer could be: fabulously well designed. Let them write lists of n things is easier for writers as well as readers.7 Startup investors know that every investment is a bet, and against pretty long odds. And in both cases the results are not merely acceptable, but better. Now what I wish I had was a mail reader that somehow prevented my inbox from filling up.

But when you ask that you're not convinced that what you're doing. Enterprise softwareāand to a college that limits their options? In Jessica Livingston's Founders at Work. If you want about who you start it with such tricks will approach.
This law does not appear to be promising.
At the time I did when I said by definition this will make it a function of their growth from earnings. Good investors don't yet get what they're getting, so if you seem like a compiler, you may as well, but we do the same differentials exist to this talk, so x% usage growth will also remind founders that an investor is more important to users, however, is that when you lose that protection, e. The disadvantage of expanding a round on the critical path to med school. In the average employee.
The downside is that they are within any given person might have.
But because I think this is one that did. Super-angels will snap up stars that VCs may begin to conserve board seats for shorter periods. How much better than his peers. Or rather indignant; that's a rational response to their returns.
The relationships between unions and unionized companies can hire unskilled people to claim retroactively I said that a their applicants come from all over, not just the kind of power programmers care about.
IBM seemed a miracle of workmanship. Managers are presumably wondering, how little autonomy one would have for one video stream. They're so selective that they imitate even the most accurate mechanical watch, the switch in mid-century big companies don't want to get jobs. When we got to Yahoo, we could just multiply 101 by 50 to get frozen yogurt.

Chicago Fire Season 3 Ep. 21 "We Called Her Jellybean"
A fire in an apartment connected to a rape and attempted murder is similar to an unsolved case in New York. Sgt. Benson of the Special Victims Unit comes to Chicago to help with the investigation
This episode is part of a crossover with "Chicago P.D." and "Law & Order Special Victims Unit". It continues on "The Number of Rats" (Chicago P.D., Season 2 Ep. 20) and concludes on "Daydream Believer" (Law & Order Special Victims Unit, Season 16 Ep. 20).
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
Jessica "Chili" Chilton, the newest paramedic at Firehouse 51, introduces herself to the squad. The station tries to forget about Mills, especially Brett, who has trouble getting along with her new partner. Chili is a good paramedic. She stays calm and collected, even when she and Brett rescue a stabbing victim after a robbery. Later, Chili gets a package at 51 with her invention in it. Chili's self-chilling champagne bottle. The whole firehouse thinks it's silly, except for Herrmann, who loves the idea and wants to offer it at Molly's.
Casey gets another offer when Nesbitt, a former firefighter who owns a strip club, asks him to bid on a franchise at Stilettos. Casey is unsure about Nesbitt's past and asks Rice for advice. Rice says Nesbitt is involved in a story about missing money and the IRS. Later, Casey goes back to Stilettos to finish his job and meets Katya, one of the dancers and Nesbitt's friend for lunch. She encourages him to make a bid, and their chemistry makes him want to accept. But when Casey interrupts Nesbitt during a meeting, Nesbitt's reaction makes Casey reject the franchise offer. Nesbitt and Katya are upset when Casey leaves the club. He wants to end his relationship with Stilettos.
Back at 51, Otis fills in Cruz about an unnerving observation he made during the intense call: Rice ran back to the fire truck because of faulty equipment, not the first time RIce left a rescue. Cruz checks Rice's equipment and finds it works. He tells a few people on the squad. Herrmann says they shouldn't jump to conclusions. He says they should watch and keep quiet. But Severide stops Cruz and Otis before they start their plan. Their lieutenant tells Otis to stop spreading rumours about Rice.
The squad goes to a burning apartment where an overloaded electrical outlet is causing the fire. The team saves two victims: Billy, mostly unharmed, and Victoria, badly burned and in critical condition. Herrmann blames Billy's outlet for the fire. Billy pleads with Dawson to believe he turned it off. Later, Antonio from Chicago P.D. tells his sister new information about Victoria. Chicago Med found evidence of rape.
Dawson doesn't have much time to think because Billy confronts her at 51, scared by detectives' questions. Dawson believes Billy is innocent and so does Severide. The two firefighters go back to the apartment to look for something that would prove Billy was innocent. They find burnt rubber on the ceiling above Billy's room. Arson upstairs. Someone set fire to the apartment. A neighbour says he saw a man in scrubs at the complex. It sounds like a case for the police. Meanwhile, Dawson gets a voicemail from Billy. She asks Antonio to help find Billy. They find him on a bridge, ready to jump. He feels guilty about the fire. Dawson talks Billy down with Boden's help. Dawson explains that the police removed Billy from the list of suspects. This calms Billy and allows for a safe rescue. Dawson's risky move gets praise from the squad.
As the police investigate the arson, another surprise emerges. Sergeant Benson from New York City. She got an alert about a rape and arson case from 10 years ago. Benson flies to Chicago to meet Voight and Boden. Voight fills her in on the details over video chat. She looks at the victim and remembers the open case. The victim's green fingernail polish, hair colour, and height match. Benson knows it's the same killer. Now Cicago P.D. and SVU must find him.

Douyin was launched by ByteDance in September 2016, originally under the name A.me, before rebranding to Douyin (ęé³) in December 2016. Douyin was developed in 200 days and within a year had 100 million users, with more than one billion videos viewed every day.
While TikTok and Douyin share a similar user interface, the platforms operate separately. Douyin includes an in-video search feature that can search by people's faces for more videos of them, along with other features such as buying, booking hotels, and making geo-tagged reviews.
ByteDance planned on Douyin expanding overseas. The founder of ByteDance, Zhang Yiming, stated that "China is home to only one-fifth of Internet users globally. If we don't expand on a global scale, we are bound to lose to peers eyeing the four-fifths. So, going global is a must."
The app was launched as TikTok in the international market in September 2017. On 23 January 2018, the TikTok app ranked first among free application downloads on app stores in Thailand and other countries. TikTok has been downloaded more than 130 million times in the United States and has reached 2 billion downloads worldwide, according to data from mobile research firm Sensor Tower (those numbers exclude Android users in China).
In the United States, celebrities, including Jimmy Fallon and Tony Hawk, began using the app in 2018. Other celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Will Smith, and Justin Bieber joined TikTok as well as many others. In January 2019, TikTok allowed creators to embed merchandise sale links into their videos.
On 3 September 2019, TikTok and the U.S. National Football League (NFL) announced a multi-year partnership. The agreement occurred just two days before the NFL's 100th season kick-off at Soldier Field, where TikTok hosted activities for fans in honor of the deal. The partnership entails the launch of an official NFL TikTok account, which is to bring about new marketing opportunities such as sponsored videos and hashtag challenges. In July 2020, TikTok, excluding Douyin, reported close to 800 million monthly active users worldwide after less than four years of existence.
In May 2021, TikTok appointed Shou Zi Chew as their new CEO who assumed the position from interim CEO Vanessa Pappas, following the resignation of Kevin A. Mayer on 27 August 2020. In September 2021, TikTok reported that it had reached 1 billion users. In 2021, TikTok earned $4 billion in advertising revenue.
In October 2022, TikTok was reported to be planning an expansion into the e-commerce market in the US, following the launch of TikTok Shop in the United Kingdom. The company posted job listings for staff for a series of order fulfillment centers in the US and is reportedly planning to start the new live shopping business before the end of the year. The Financial Times reported that TikTok will launch a video gaming channel, but the report was denied in a statement to Digiday, with TikTok instead aiming to be a social hub for the gaming community.
According to data from app analytics group Sensor Tower, advertising on TikTok in the US grew by 11% in March 2023, with companies including Pepsi, DoorDash, Amazon and Apple among the top spenders. According to estimates from research group Insider Intelligence, TikTok is projected to generate $14.15 billion in revenue in 2023, up from $9.89 billion in 2022.
On March 8, 2024, President Joe Biden said he would sign into law a bill forcing ByteDance to divest TikTok within 180 days. The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted unanimously, 50-0, to advance the bill on March 7, 2024. ByteDance launched a congressional lobbying campaign mobilizing TikTok users in response.
On 9 November 2017, TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, spent nearly $1 billion to purchase musical.ly, a startup headquartered in Shanghai with an overseas office in Santa Monica, California, U.S. Musical.ly was a social media video platform that allowed users to create short lip-sync and comedy videos, initially released in August 2014. TikTok merged with musical.ly on 2 August 2018 with existing accounts and data consolidated into one app, keeping the title TikTok. This ended musical.ly and made TikTok a worldwide app, excluding China, since China already had Douyin.

At almost 50 with 4 degrees the journey may just be beginning. I have an old alias name that can be retrieved running an Intelius background check under Lisa Hlavenka. The house of Taliban text is real and I can give the phone number as of being called yesterday-strong evidence of safe houses with addresses in multiple countries, down to Taskeeras and family details provided for years now. Itās taken an online art of seduction, never meeting anyone and lol donāt think I have ever broken a law.
I have refined my own tailored craft of cyber honey trapping bad bad men- likely one of the Yakoob faction Taliban. He tells me he loves me regularly and I wouldnāt give him the time of day in personā¦.unless it took something worth sacrificing to get his iPhone SIM card out of that phone and to the closest US German military installation near Munchen, Germany where he smuggled into through the Polish border for 7K USD, which I certainly didnāt provide. He was drug smuggled out through Kandahar and claims the Taliban was holding him hostage. But I have many texts and they were all together using Sadats phone. Discussion of Darband, Peshawar, and laundry detergent devices made of special plastic. They have sent me pictures of dead children and used the chopping off arms and legs publicity stunt sending media video blaming myself. Yet the photos drive them back to me for more. Iām tough, military trained and donāt speak like a fucking snowflake to get intel, information, bank accounts, ethereum wallet addresses and anything else sought to get them turned over to the right agencies.
Iāve repeated these methods and have specifics on major illicit drug dealers see jordan999.com for his other vile side hustles. Have his Truist routing and bank account number and if I had the time I would hack the shit out of his account and transfer some to those affected by drugs and some to myself for dedication and hours building trust what they value to get the information. I spoke to a John Newkirk of Acuitus awhile back and asked if they had ever heard of a CIA spec ops girl named Jessica Sawyer? They didnāt say anything in return and I said ok same bad ass girl. And thatās the ultimate in compliments because I have a family made of millions and because they knew I was set up for CIA application as of May 2020 and had an NSA webinar I lost because of themāthey have literally stolen my truck and Iām hostage at W339N6747 Log House Circle Oconomowoc, WI 53066. They have stolen everything monetarily from me since 2020 because the words Central Intelligence Agency scare the ever living shit out of them and makes me smile. That work makes someone like myself purposeful and driven and my family is terrified of it and I am remotely quarantined by them.
And they didnāt think ahead before leaving me in the family house with the account numbers to their purely selfish existence. And when I have people in the rear view mirror who could have saved 2 disabled non verbal little beautiful twins with a fraction of the half million plus annually and donate money only for tax deductions and misappropriation funds hidingāitās time to roll. Now I have lovely CIA recruiter Mark on my phone but lol, itās difficult to say hey uh, btw I have had really bad fucking ADD since 3rd grade, um I do outstanding legal writing, but I have really great pictures of my 49 year old tits that get the Yakoob faction on WA or Telegram instantly on video. My family is a bunch of rich sell out assholes. So uh Mark did the ummm case manager position seem like a good fit v legal? I mean you know General Mike Flynn and George Colella would vouch for me seriously. And yeah I have a NeuroQuant MRI and have a hippocampal volume that makes me an adobe cloud of algorithmic complexity that doesnāt belong in Stone Bank, WI and yeah the ADD right now is horrible remotely trapped. And if had access to a decent psychiatrist to get ADD treatment have entire legal plan in 3 steps to probably recover a million from per Se reputational damage my āsisterā tried and failed miserably to not hand over inheritance. And I want settlement money now for the bullshit problems theyāve created unnecessarily and to not be on inheritance or any documentation with the names Gaeu or Hlavenka again. And hey Mark, I would be honored to meet someone like Jessica Sawyer because she understands service and sacrifice. Someone said to me at LaQuinta hotel in Fargo as I was being taught a little ādashboardā computer training, how to go through dark net with Tor, VPNs, firewalls, a guy named Pablo Mancini who thought he was funny and sent a dick picture flashing into my FB page then disappearing. But one unidentified person who knew the duress, trauma, worst possible scenarios I had endured, the Fargo Air National Guards misuse of MQ-9 drone reaper satellite fiber optics I unrigged and said Lisa, youāre a good mom. So Jessica if you had a mom who worked her ass off you had nothing cool to wear all your childhood like myself well you are a swimming success. My family never gave a shit about me and I left for USAF in 94 in aviation. They still donāt but even when itās one good woman and youāre outnumbered by what seems like everyone constantlyā-in my case have this almost one of a kind brain nobody else has. See Waukesha County Sheriffās Department under Lisa Hlavenka itās just strategy. Family took to falsely calling me bipolar and manic against my own doctor who laughed because he knew this was coming. And she set the police department up to mock and harass me needlessly and itās all failing nicely. The outside of hotel hostage here looked like an FBI raid of 4 days straight and nothing happened to me although the intent was obvious. Sat calmly and smiled every time and nicknamed the dick cop Cookie Crisp online where now know he is forever nicknamed by his fellow officers.
And preceded to contact NAMI, the Waukesha County Sheriffās Department CIT or crisis intervention team psych recognition training team. And these good folks are all slowly coming around to the fact that I think and speak similar to Spencer from CSI but I think at rate they canāt fathom. And when officer Cookie starts sayingā¦.Leeee-saā¦.doā¦.youā¦.evenā¦..re-mem-ber my name I think to myself I donāt fucking care about your name but I remember your fat fucking out of shape douchebag attitude I could outrun at 50. And thus the last phase after trying to pull my damages settlement out of hotel trust fund here, is to get the darn ADD on track and get to a place like CIA. The officers, not Cookie, are coming around to the fact that the US IC intelligence community hires people with devastating disabilities and mental illness and that socially probably defective me lol forever has a home in these places with the worldās finest trained. I canāt fathom what I could help solve, contribute and assist with US National Security right now. Just takes a couple nude pics someday and a supportive call to say āyou can do it Lisaā from the Taliban last night.
I understand this seems surreal impossible- I assure you anything is possible when youāve survived and endured things like myself. I wish I could get to that bad ass physically trained state like Jessica Sawyer someday soon. Better yet my brain upgrade makes me one hell of an accurate shot both left and right handed. Center mass same bullseye right and left. I have even looked to going for sniper training because I love solely the challenge of the accuracy and distance. But my rights have been on hold to provide a little remedial education to a police department while being held hostage by my āfamilyā.
Probably havenāt read one like this before. Iām not on SM much at all due to having to write motions for reasonable electronic means, tons of legal pursuanceās. Because itās then open to go full throttle US intelligence applications and this cool cyber corporate honeytrap organization found. Happy Holidays from Stone Bank hotel hostage

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 165
The rains have started in earnest, it seems. At least there's always the news.
Joni Captured!...?
Rather recently, a team sent by the korosian government arrived in Newglass to retrieve and detain Jo-baddie Joni, who had been languishing in a treasure chest for a number of months. There was a significant struggle, as two armed temporic guards and a machoke were nearly outsmarted by the devious shapeshifter. Fortunately, by working together and calling for backup, they were able to successfully capture Joni properly. They are now being held in a maximum security prison somewhere on korous, though it is unknown exactly where it is, only that they provide more than a cramped treasure chest weighed down by a boulder. A trial date has yet to be chosen, but reportedly a public defender well versed in korosian law has been chosen to represent Joni in court. Meanwhile, it is unknown if this even means much to Joni, as they appear to have two different locations, and only one instance of them has been detained, the other free enough to converse on the memo. Further details to follow.
Dungeon detected?
The other night, the Poor 4 were seen following a ridiculously long trail of arrow signs in Desertia town. This lead them to a mysterious new portal entrance. Rogue of Heart Charles investigated with a camera and discovered a 10-seater van on the other side of the portal, presumably waiting for passengers. Seer of Space Jessica used her powers and was able to detect that it is somehow some sort of dungeon, but was not given much privy beyond that. It is currently planned that a team of dungeon crashers will enter the portal early on monday.
Three Grasses 'n bugs
Page of Mind Samm has been continuing her work on Grass 3, having recently added bugs where there were none before. Prince of Heart Red has also been performing manual labor on Grass 3 as of late, presumably waiting for the odd squad to resume their questing. The work ahead appears long and arduous, but with enough help, Grass 3 will one day be a great place with a thriving ecosystem.
This weekās known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katieās potion stand (Not available to plitlanders due to regulations, available to all others however)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
Samm's noodle stand
On-the-road food store: -Meal, common (3 sp/15 credits) -Rations, Wandermeal (per serving) (1 cp/5 credits)
Tailor shop: -Sack (1 cp/3 credits) -Clothes, Common (5 sp/20 credits) -Bedroll (1 gp/50 credits) -Backpack (2 gp/75 credits)
That about does it for this week. Progress seems to be steady and on-schedule with the flash animation. It should be finished within the upcoming month. Do be warned that it will be quite graphic at times. Hopefully my counterpart in the pinto region will contact the memo soon, because they haven't replied to two different pings over here! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/399/charcherry-weekly-issue-165

Terrible Screenplay Idea: Party Hard
Chuck is getting married.
That means he has a bachelor party!
He, against his best wishes and judgement, goes to Las Vegas, accompanied by his future brother in law Alec, a quiet and meek nerdy geography teacher; his party animal coke fiend "legend" of a best friend Teddy; old recently divorced and super horny shithead friend Pete; and his darkly mysterious, cool, super rich maybe psychopathic new friend Boyd. It'll be a weekend of boys partying!
You've seen this before.
Boyd's hired a suite for them, as well as a quintet of strippers! Time for a night of perversion and debauchery!
But instead of "Very Bad Things" or "Rough Night" or any other number of dead stripper movies: something goes horribly south and there is a panic, and after the dust clears, it is the Stag Group who are wiped out to a man, leaving 5 bloody panicked strippers in the aftermath. Now we meet our true heroes of the piece: Amber (Jessica Rothe) is the brains of the crew, a girl trying to fund her way through college and have a good time, who is currently spinning a way out of this mess. Britney (Aubrey Plaza) is a single mother, attempting to provide for her kid the only way she knows how. She doesn't have time for this shit: from either the stags or the panicking girls worrying about "ethics" - she paid her babysitter until 2. Candy (Fiona Dourif) is getting too old for this. She doesn't get as many tips in the clubs anymore, and her experience counts for nothing. She RELISHES the chance to take the lead, and takes to the crime angle a bit TOO well... Dakota (Geraldine Viswanathan) is just out for a good time. She never signed on for this! But she takes to it well, and is keen to learn... Enid (Tessa Thompson) is new to this crew, having filled in for another person who dropped out. Whilst not super keen on the idea of crime, she is a much needed sane port in a storm.
What follows is a night of mayhem, panic, blood, carnage and high-octane lunacy as the strippers must hide the bodies, clean the blood, hide their involvement, and get home. Complicating matters are the fact that Alec and Chuck may not be as dead as they thought; there is a bag of drugs Boyd took which his dealer (Elliot Page) is on the rampage looking for; a nosy Concierge is periodically checking the room and looking for a tip (Masi Oka) and the girls' eccentric, foul-mouthed manager (Stephanie Tsu) is attempting to ensure she and her girls get paid... Then they bump into the Bachelorette party, when Dakota befriends the bride (Olivia Thirlby) on the casino floor.

7:48 pmpdt 12 fe bru ar y 2023 Sunday āļø Part 2
Maybe I wrote too much in last post so it doesnāt add pictures?
it still wonāt add.
11:46 pmpdt I continued typing š¬ in the previous post instead of this post. I remember now incubus has another wife to add to list I forgot: Maria sharapova tennis š¾ athlete- some sources say they did it, & try to remember the list in other post: Jane, Kelly, Candace Bailey, (#3 acid pain šš 11:49 pmpdt).... Rebecca Ginos, Anne V., Behati P., Stroh, Mvrykv_, then there are other people he dated that there are rumors: Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Lindsay Lohan (who is also very beautiful)... but he says he didnāt is what is says online but she says they did is what I saw online second/third hand, not first hand sources? Recalling a little... not sure š¤ 11:55 pmpdt
4:52 am pdt is the I hope you answer me truthfully part harsh? I wasnāt trying to sound harsh. Itās been disappointing when people dont answer questions. & the internet has changed at least to me since 2017. I formerly was able to web search š¦ stuff that I cannot anymore. It came up š w/ unsatisfactory results. 4:54 am pdt
4:56 am pdt I think the whole Jaycee dugard stuff is disturbing. That there are people out there who let it happen. Do they have the rapist mentality that itās the womanās fault she got raped? 4;58 am pdt
5 am pdt whore of Babylon .... world w/o end. ?? Looks to be so.
Top of head including brain š§ feeling the flames š„ heat 5:02 am pdt
God invests in pretending to be decent & loving. Heās generous to who he wants to be. & rapist incubus to who he wants to be. 5:05 am pdt
5:07 am pdt what did I do to get suspended from Instagram? I made a new account name like Instagram suggested to keep in touch with a smaller group of people, & messaged an old friend to get his phone number again that I lost when my phone š± got locked š by my aunt & had to reset it. This friendās sister I was hoping to get in touch with to see if she could advise me on something bcz I seem to be having issues getting stuff I need. & Iām tired of itš§ accidentally put in emoji. Medical š„ related. Incubus does not want me getting the help I need medically. He is interfering again š 5:12 am pdt
Instagram is slave like law enforcement is slave to incubus. 5:23 am pdt
Incubus are black widow spiders š· 5:14 am pdt 5:15 see web tattoo on front of neck.
5:20 am pdt now I have access to Instagram but I canāt see the 1 message chain . Beach š balling. 5:21 am pdt
6:39 am pdt what is 2-faced? Insincere & deceitful is one definition. Is incubus that? When he gave me signs šŖ§ that heās my husband & loves me? Seems so. Did I do that to anyone? Did I do it to my first boyfriend? I tried to love him. I should have not been w/ him I guess. He was pleasant to be around. I was hoping feelings would grow for someone. I wanted my search š¦ to be over for finding a lover but I did it the wrong way. Maybe š¤ w/o realizing it I bought his relationship w/s*x & by also (vag acid burning pain ššš¤š„µš¤š„µ) giving him a gently used futon mattress w/a nice frame that probably would cost ā$2000 to replace today. I think I gave it to him b4 giving him my virginity. 6:48 am pdt there some people I show my face to, & have been ignored by, bcz of incubus & whores of Babylon. 6:49 am pdt
my sis had a friend who was Nickās neigh š“ bor. he liked to toy š§ø w/ people now & then. He told me thru my sis over the phone āļø that Nick was asking him to ask me to be Nickās girlfriend. I started feeling like I didnāt want to be, & I thought š that I was interested, but I had difficulty understanding my feelings maybe. Nick didnāt even respect me enough to give me a real date. Did I deserve a real date? I donāt know š¤·š»āāļø. Would I have been real enough at that point in my life to fall in love if falling in love is contingent upon being myself, feeling comfortable enough to be myself that I really find someone I can really have fun with??? It can I fall in love with out being myself? But can I feel connected to someone if Iām not myself? I donāt know š¤·š»āāļø. I wanted to find that best friend connection. Some people write āļø about a healing kind of love š? That they I guess find someone who they can be their best self with & maybe their worst? But grow to be better???? Can we open the possibility of finding a real love š & connection if we choose to only treat people like whores w/o benefit of the doubt is that what it is called? 6:59 am pdt I think š¤ they could both see the lack of enthusiasm? The change in feelings, even the guy on the phone āļø, but he saw it differently & labeled it saying Iām 2-faced. Why did he jump to that conclusion? Did he talk to Nick? Did Nick say something to him? Why his friend I started liking senior year caress my hand & tickle my knee but not ask me out for a date? Was it bcz of Nick? Did he say something? Did he tell everyone I was a whore behind my back bcz maybe š¤ our ā friends with benefitsā became known to other people when he wanted it a secret? š¤« from family & school š«? (Acid sand paper throat pain ššššš¤š„µš¤š„µ 7:05 am pdt). I donāt know š¤·š»āāļø. I wonder š what his real dad does for a living? 7:06 am pdt I was 15 years old & never dated outside, & a virgin. Why would I think āfriends with benefitsā would mean anything else than what it sounds like? Should marriage subtitled: best friends with benefits? 7:08 am pdt still was waiting for the āfriendsā part of the deal. To him, āfriends with benefitsā means being a whore, not friends. 7:10 am pdt
7:12 am pdt not sure but I felt burned & maybe acid & maybe sand paper deeper than b4 into my brain š§ . I guess god really dislikes me & thinks this is haughty. 7:13 am pdt guess he does not like soulmates & best friends stuff w/spouses. Thatās why he cheats. 7:14 am pdt
8:23 am pdt incubus burned my brain more. Maybe for what I typed above. 8:24 am pdt I guess there were things I could have done better but didnāt. 8:24 am pdt like ask for delivery š for groceries. Whatever. Pain back of upper above bones š¦“ pain šš. 8:26 am pdt above butt 8:27 am pdt
8:35 am pdt Iām being punished for every thing I typed. He things Iām unworthy & insincere & a liar š¤„. Ok. 8:36 am pdt
8:37 am pdt he thinks Iām greedy.
9:05 pmpdt fine Iām greedy & unlike able & insincere & unworthy & a liar š¤„ & a pig š·. Breathing difficulty hot š„µ air exhaling $ been burned stinging pain. Iām the worst person in the world š. Itās fine. If no one likes me & thatās the truth I should not b (coughing š¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š„µ burp 9:08 am pdt brain š§ pain šš) b angry it is what it is . 9:09 am pdt ššØ
9:58 am pdt I hope incubus is not trying to make me look š like Danny devito, although I might behalf way or more there š 10 am
10:12 am pdt no one wants to see me win & no one should. 10:13 am pdt
10:17 am pdt someone told me in 2020 that I should hang myself. Yeah. She didnāt have difficulty breathing & didnāt look like she was losing her bones š¦“. She was a counselor? Type of field? 10:19 am pdt. Yeah maybe she told me that bcz thatās what god wants. 10:19 am pdt I remember she was wearing a long clingy dress š & she looked like she was not wearing a bra. Earthy toned slightly green? dress š. 10:21 am pdt
11 am pdt I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away I should not have run šš»āāļø away. š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²š²ššš¤š„š¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š„µš¤š„µš11:04 am pdt 11:05 am pdt
4:04 pmpdt that counselor worked at a hospital š„. 4:06 pmpdt there was also a nurse š©āāļø that made fun of my breathing problems & said ābreeeeeding problems?ā Nice. š 4:07 pmpdt
4:28 pmpdt Instagram suspended account again. 4:28 pmpdt
4:29 pmpdt Scott & Nick probably are okay š w/o any problems, but I get the shaft. Men are always excused. Women arenāt. I m sure all the people somehow justify rape. One way or another. & theyāll probably always pretend next time will be different. But itās probably still happening. 4:32 pmpdt why? Bcz rapists will justify it? 4:33 pmpdt I be been treated like trash š yet I was celibate for 10+ years, I didnāt rape anyone, but people say bcz it didnāt happen to them & their a good person it must mean the rape victim is a bad person? Thatās what I seem to be intercepting these days. Go ahead, say youāre better than everybody! Be proud god the incubus protected you & made you rich š¤ from other peopleās misery. 4:36 pmpdt
4:51 pmpdt I felt like a weirdo for a big part of my life bcz of all the head trauma I had. Incubus is trying to cover up & change history. Bcz heās a dick. 4:52 pmpdt I can relate a little bit to brian Stowe? Probably. Burning š„ skull & acid & heat on my left side of brain š§ . 4:53 pmpdt
4:54 pmpdt he had too many ways to cheat. & heās cheating in his marriage. āItās complicatedā itās complicated bcz U cannot b honest to ur spouse? Huh š¤ almost like spout... realizing that now. I hate the use of the whine words... what whine? Whinny??? š“ wine š·? What? Trying to right some. 4:57 pmpdt whatever I donāt understand.
5:08 pmpdt most of the time when I was alone & had a lot of time to think š I usually condemned myself, bcz of my regrets. Since ā around senior year of high school š« forward. Sometimes I got distracted & forgot my bad decisions. Sometimes I chose to forget. You cannot forget completely from time to time if you have done something serially. If you repeat š it & do it frequently then you are less likely to forget. But I condemned myself anyway. Unfortunately I didnāt realize until this year that the top thing I condemned myself for wasnāt even the worst possible thing a person can do to another. Iām still embarrassed by it & donāt want to talk about it or remember it (pain weird pain in throat & a lot of heat) I crossed a line that should never be crossed. I didnāt rape anyone. The person even laughed after I did it. Please read all previous posts. 5:19 pmpdt now I have to deal w/ the other 2 things that I completely forgot about for years bcc I was distracted by the other things. šµš„µš¤š„µš¤š„µš±šš° but I guess it doesnāt matter bcz god incubus made his decision to double cross me & kill me, like someone who is murdering his victim to cover up š his crimes. Once a cheater.... always a cheater? 5:22 pmpdt
5:23 pmpdt 5:24 pmpdt to clarify, it was a bad thing, but it was the mildest least worse line to cross of the category. 5:25 pmpdt same might be said of all the other things I did. 5:26 pmpdt
5:43 pmpdt I have lived feeling ashamed of myself for a very long time. Sometimes, looking book in my mind of memories walking around & looking down like an autistic person during high school š« years
6:03 pmpdt & many years after college, feeling ashamed, scared, shy, anxiety. Trying to understand this autistic symptom of looking down- itās actually felt like a weird automatic involuntary movement for me To look down sometimes. Itās my own body? Forcing myself to look down . Sometimes it is like that. Sometimes it is fear of looking š someone in the eyes š bcz Iām uncomfortable w/ eye contact. Why? My eyes š involuntarily scowl when Iām uncomfortable. Why? Shame ? Feeling like Iām the worst person in the world š? Brain š§ damage? Not feeling great bcz of brain š§ damage. After I was punched in the head or hit my head I got very tired a lot. š“ I used to try to put my head on peopleās shoulders like my momās o& once Qās - but Q I think š¤ she didnāt like it so she moved her shoulders up & down. I used to feel guilty about thinking about not hanging out w/her anymore so I told her to āmake lots of friends,ā so she wouldnāt be alone if I decided to stop š 6:17 pmpdt there were a lot of times after my cousin punched me, I would wake up sometime feeling fresh but before dark my face drooped & I looked sick dog tired. 6:20 pmpdt 6:22 pmpdt I think the drooping made me look like I aged 10-20+ years??? Maybe š¤? By the end of the day. 6:23 pmpdt

14 episodes wasn't enough. I loved everything they managed to put in and I KNOW how hard editing and managing the episode length is. But I'm a greedy hoe so I'm gonna list the things that I wished could have been covered in season 1.
1. Macau and Chay school shenanigans
2. Actual business side of the mafia families. The show only focused on the bodyguards but the actual meat is in the business side. You need managers, secetorial staff, administrators, IT, etc. Civilian staff basically. Would have loved to see some ipad wielding, number crunching nerds.
3. THE MOMS!! KINN'S MOM IN PARTICULAR!! He's more like his mom!! Please I am begging you BOC do this for me I make decent money I will bankroll season 2 for you just hit me up.
4. More Yok, Jom and Tem shenanigans with Kinn. We got a bunch of scenes of Porsche with Kinn's friends but I wanted the reverse as well.
5. More lady Jessica. What's her story. Tell me EVERYTHING.
6. More brotps. Tankhun and Porsche needed more screentime after ep3. Kinn and Pete as well. Vegas and Tankhun?? Hellooo??
7. Kim and Vegas when??
8. Macau and Tankhun please I'm begging
9. Any women. A mafia boss lady, an assassin, a bodyguard I'm am starving for some women.
10. Law enforcement encounters with the Mafia. I think that would be interesting. The families would then need to also involves lawyers in their human resources which is one more excuse to hire more women. Do it Kinn, you coward.
11. Pete's dating history.
12. More hand to hand combat training montages so we can have Porsche spar with Kinn Pacific rim styles.
13. MORE ACTION SCENES!! I love action and this wasn't enough ššš more unrealistic cool action scenes please. More kicking and punching. Less guns. That Kim scene in the bar was so well done. More of that.
14. Any public sort of an event where they have to behave around each other. Like the entire Theerapanyakul family and their staffs have to go to a crime wedding and it's awkward and funny as hell. Imagine the chaos.
Feel free to add more.

Gymcastic and their Friends
I thought it was worth talking a bit about how the Gymcastic white wash of the showās friends is a broader problem then UCLA and Miss Val but also extends to other people in the gymnastics community that have beenĀ āfriends of the showā before.
For those unfamiliar, Gymcastic is an artistic gymnastics specific podcast that is celebrating itās 10th anniversary this month having started up just afte the 2012 Olympic Games.Ā Originally it was a panel show format hosted by a law librarian named Jessica OāBeirne, over time panelists cycled in and out as is natural for a project lasting this long and today it is primarily Jessica, Spencer Barnes (who also runs the website The Balance Beam Situation) and occasionally contributions from a self taught MAG specialistĀ Kensley Behel.Ā Jessica was laid off during the pandemic and has moved to making Gymcastic her full time job.Ā They travel to meets including the Worlds and Olympic Games where they get press credentials and at 2021 Worlds in Japan they made up more than half of all foreign press at the meet (if they call themselves press or journalists depends on if you are criticizing their journalistic standards).
Gymnastics is a small community where everyone knows each other, there are often professional conflicts of interests and have to be friendly with people in order to get information.Ā An example Iād give is that Tim Daggett owns a gym while being a commentator for NBC and he has several times had athletes on the floor of meets he was commentating.Ā Nastia Liukin, the other NBC expert commentator is the daughter of one of the most prominent coaches in the US and was commentating through when her father was running the US program and continues to commentate on his athletes with very obvious personal bias.
Gymcasticās most famous missteps involve the former UCLA head coach Valorie Kondos Field when a number of her former athletes came forward with stories about her mistreatment of them during the #GymnastAlliance movement following the release of Athlete A.Ā Jessicaās husband (who works behind the scenes for the show) had co-written Miss Valās book and Jessica had special access to the UCLA program (even acting as a guest judge at a pre-season exhebition one year).Ā She handled it badly essentially implying that the gymnasts speaking out against Miss Val were mistaken in their impressions of her.Ā Though she apologized for the incident the next week many didnāt find the apology sincere and sheās avoided addressing other Miss Val related issues by citing a conflict of interest.Ā Ā
Now Iād like to highlight two other issues that are pervasive in the showās coverage.Ā Ā
1) Precision Choreography (and MyGymJudge).Ā Precision is a gymnastics consulting firm which provides choreography services, camps, and through a subdivision MyGymJudge provides judging critiques to gymnasts at all levels including elite.Ā The company is owned by Chellsie Memmel and Nicole Langevin (Langevin also hosts a podcast of her own interviewing gymnastics insiders which I also have opinions about but thatās for another time).Ā They have heavily sponsored Gymcastic over the years and despite the fact that the show likes to highlight conflicts of interest within USAG has never looked at the tentacles of Precision (which besides being owned by one of the US programs 3 high performance leads also employs one of the others).Ā They also have, at least to my memory, never given a note before interviews with Memmel or talking about her of her companyās support for the show.
I continue to believe that if Precision Choreography were being run by a figure less popular than Memmel it would draw a great deal of suspicion.Ā Itās not the most corrupt looking structure in American elite gymnastics on the surface but thatās only because the International Elite Committee exists.
2) The Fairy Tale of Greg Marsden and 1987 Worlds.Ā Greg Marsden is the now retired long time head coach of the University of Utah team.Ā Incredibly successful in the early years of college womenās gymnastics and a master at building up a fanbase around the school.Ā He is also opinionated and a bit of a drama queen and shit stirrer.Ā And Gymcastic loves him.Ā Ā
One of the stories they repeat quite frequently (and use to justify telling people that gymnastics in the 1980s was incredibly corrupt) is a story about how Greg Marsden was asked to coach the US womenās team at 1987 Worlds.Ā As Jessica tells the story he was invited to a party there where he saw judges and federation officials trading scores and was so disgusted with the corruption that he quit and didnāt want to have anything to do with elite gymnastics again.Ā Ā
Except thatās not what happened even by his own words in 1988 and the only other place besides Gymcastic that you will hear that version is the local Mormon press around the University of Utah.
Marsden quit the job at the US team for a number of bureaucratic and organizational reasons and on his way out the door told the LA Times in the spring of 1988 his version of this story.Ā He was approached in a bar by a Romanian coach (who denied the incident occurred) who proposed that they swap score assurances.Ā Score fixing in the 1980s is slightly complicated but essentially if your gymnast might et a 9.5 or a 9.7 the agreement would be to get the upper range of the plausible score.Ā Marsden says he got the other members of the US delegation to agree (who also denied this to the LA Times) but the scheme fell apart because the US gymnasts falls meant that they couldnāt be plausibly given the agreed upon scores.Ā They werenāt good enough to plausibly cheat.
Having investigated this in historical documents I suspect that the Romanian coach saw Marsden as a rube, knew the Americans couldnāt possibly get those scores in the first place and got a safety net for his own gymnasts without having to worry about returning the favor.Ā Ā Not only do we have Marsdenās own words to the LA Times but there were other journalistic accounts of this from the time which conform to this version of events (including an amazing article from Rolling Stone).Ā Ā
But Marsden is someone who is portrayed as a friend of the show (they occasionally will ask him questions as if they know heās in the listening audience and can email them later).Ā His marriage to one of his own gymnasts in the early 1980s is laughed off as being a product of itās time (and heās still married to her for the record).Ā Heāll also be framed in their narratives as an advocate for reform within the NCAA rules, even being given credit for the recent edition of vault lines as something heās wanted for years, while also being described as skipping the rules meetings in the off season where these things are decided.
I canāt help but feel like in the cases of Miss Val, Memmel, and Marsden there is a certain amount of hero worship on the part of Jessica.Ā These were people who were huge figures in the sport when she was younger (and at least in Memmelās case when she was a gymnastics coach briefly) and she is simply incapable of taking a step back and examining the mythology attached to these people.Ā
But thatās what happens when you decide that feelings are more important than anything else.
