Hey guys!
I have finally got my hands on a lip kit I have been dying to try for ages! Last Black Friday Kylie Jenner released a limited edition lip kit to celebrate the day and at the time in the U.K there was no way to buy it without delivery fees (blah blah). But this year Boots is selling the limited edition kit so today we are reviewing the Kylie Friday Lip Kit which was even on promotion so I got it for £22.00.
Okay so Kylie Lip Kits are pretty iconic at this point, usually they cost £28.00 and always include a liquid lipstick and matching lip liner shade which you can't buy separately. When it comes to liquid lipsticks I personally think Kylie's formula is the best when it comes to long lasting and it doesn't dry my lips out so over the last 2 years I've collected a lot of kits. But saying that I couldn't find a perfect shade when it came to a my lips but better colour. I was close with the Bare Lip Kit but the Kylie Friday kit is a perfect match!
This soft nude shade is perfect for my fair complexion and would be my go to shade when I want something subtle and easy to wear. I love colours like these ( which you can see me wearing above) because it doesn't take away from my eye makeup but still completes my eye look. I love it! I think we also need to take a minute to appreciate the black packaging, when it comes to the outer box and the products themselves I love what she has done to make this limited edition set stand out from her collection and make it extra special.
As I've mentioned this lip kit is limited edition so if you are looking for purchase it and at a discounted price I would click the link above before it's gone!
Lots of love

Winter can be harsh on the lips, so it’s important to keep them looking and feeling excellent while rocking your favorite shades.
Lip Care Routine: Exfoliate your lips regularly and apply a hydrating lip balm before applying lipstick to prevent chapping and dryness.
Using Lip Liner: Lip liner is essential for creating a defined, long-lasting look. It helps prevent feathering, especially in cold weather when lips are prone to dryness.
Long-Lasting Formulas: Opt for liquid lipsticks that have hydrating properties and long-wear formulas that stand up to winter elements.
Conclusion
Winter is the perfect season to experiment with different lipstick shades, from classic reds to bold berries and rich purples. These shades will not only complement your winter wardrobe but also add a pop of color and charm to your look. Sex Kitten Makeup
Who doesn’t want to look like a kitten? Pouty, mysterious and effortlessly cool? The look is all about killer eyes, rounded lips and a devious smirk. There's a delicate balance you have to strike--can't be too cute, but can't be too harsh either. Here's how you get it.
Base
Let the skin peak through, lean towards a satiny finish with a skin tint or a light/med coverage foundation stick. Ideally under eyes are bare to let the dark circles peak through, but adding concealer is fine too.
Face
Blush should be lightly applied, but ideally a soft berry or pink color. Don’t “snatch” the face but apply on the fullness of the cheeks. Remember we aren't going seductive wild cat, but mischievous and sweet kitten.
Brows
Keep the brows thin, bonus point's if they're lightened. They don't have to be bleached blonde but should be your skin tone or lighter. If you have that cherry cola hair color, use Nyx Powder Louder Brow Pencil in Black Cherry. Fill them in to be straighter with a slight arch for that slightly surprised and devious look.
Eyes
While its tempting to darken the whole eye and do a sharp wing if you want a real kittenish look, avoid completely closing up the upper and lower lash, instead darken the inner corner (keep it rounded not sharp) and thicken the outer corner for a shorter, sharp wing, if you have round eyes make top of the wing slightly downturned before flicking upward. When lining the lower lash line, keep it under the lashes. Mascara and lashes should be primarily applied to the outer corner. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Liner in Perversion is best for a super dark and creamy liner. If you want to dress it up more, apply a brown shadow or a bronzer to the crease.
Lips
Outline your lips with a grey or cool brown liner, (Mac Stone or Chestnut) focus mostly on the cupids bow and really define it. Don’t completely round the top lip. When lining the bottom lip keep it softer. Fill in the lips with a nude close to your skin tone (Essence 8H Matte Liquid Lipstick in Silky Hazelnut). If you want a darker lip, use a berry or black liner ( Mac Caviar or Nightmoth) and follow the same steps above, then fill in with a blotted berry/plum color or a greyish-brown gloss like Mac Bittersweet Me.

what i think each gen 1 girl's makeup must-haves are:
courtney: brown lip liner + nude lip balm
leshawna: liquid eyeliner
heather: lashes (i was gonna say eyebrows bc of the tdi episode where she got locked in the fridge but she also seems like the type of person that wouldn't want to be seen in public without lashes idk) and powder bc she hates her pores
lindsay: sparkly lip gloss AND bronzer
gwen: that fuck ass blue matte lipstick
bridgette: literally just moisturizer
katie and sadie: blush (they share all their makeup too <33)
izzy: a lip plumper but not necessarily because she likes how it looks she just likes the stinging burning sensation she gets from it
beth: picks at her acne and calls it a day
eva: her workout sweat is her makeup

Channeling Monica Bellucci's Timeless Elegance Through Makeup 💋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flawless Skin Monica's complexion always glows with radiance. Achieve this by using a high-quality foundation or BB cream that matches your skin tone perfectly. A touch of highlighter on your cheekbones, brow bones, and the bridge of your nose will add a soft luminosity.
Defined Eyebrows Her brows are always perfectly groomed—defined but never overly dramatic. Use a brow pencil or powder that matches your hair colour to gently fill them in, then set them with a clear or tinted brow gel for a polished look.
Classic Eyeliner Monica often wears sleek black eyeliner, applied thinly along the upper lash line. For a bolder statement, you can slightly wing the liner out. Gel or liquid eyeliner is your best friend for this timeless look.
Soft Eyeshadow Keep the eyeshadow neutral, often with taupe or soft brown tones. Blend it into the crease to add depth without overpowering your eyes, keeping everything simple and understated.
Full, Lush Lashes Voluminous lashes are a must! Use a lengthening mascara to recreate Monica's lush lash look. For special occasions, consider adding false lashes for extra drama.
Classic Red or Nude Pink Lips While Monica is known for her bold red lips, she also wears neutral or natural shades for a softer, more understated look. Whether you choose a striking red or a nude, select a lipstick that complements your skin tone, and don’t forget to use lip liner for definition.
Subtle Contouring While not heavily contoured, Monica’s makeup includes just a touch to accentuate her natural beauty. Lightly contour under your cheekbones, along your jawline, and the sides of your nose for definition. Use a matte bronzer or contour powder for a soft, sculpted look.

Don't worry I feel the same way about mochi ice cream D: the texture is great!! But the flavor....ehhhh. Also, Rin needs a psychologist gf lmao he and so many other boys (like Reo and Nagi) could benefit from having a partner with the analytical thought process and emotional maturity to call them out on shit and give them advice 😂😂😂
Out of curiosity btw, have you ever thought about what lipstick color/or chapstick flavors the bllk boys would like?? Reo supposedly like older, classy women so he seems like a vintage red lip guy with maybe a minty chapstick. Nagi, Isagi, and Rin seem like pink boys for sure but different shades. Bachira is a fruity flavor and likes the wholeeee color palette
aaaAaA pls the psych girlfriends …… yes absolutely </3 rin would HATE the thought of it, but eventually learn that it actually has its perks. nagi wouldn’t realize that it’s helpful 2 hear someone’s pov and actually give him some good insight on what’s going on w his thoughts. reo actively asks u for advice & wants to hear your opinion!!!! it’s not like he’s going 2 make use of it immediately tho lol he’s so baby :( but yes definitely agree. this is extremely self-indulgent but yes all of these stressed out emotionally constipated men need a psychologist s/o. end of story i am actually assigning them one as we speak :,3
as for the lipsticks !!! this idea is so cute omg ^_^ for starters reo is definitely into red, cool toned and rich!! matte or lacquered, it doesn’t really matter, he just loves the color in overall. it’s very classy && he’s absolutely into that. also may i add,, lipsticks stains…..oh he goes cRAZY. as for chapstick flavors yes! def something minty, nothing too weird, he likes the way it feels cool when he gives u kisses!
bachira is so fun omg he truly does like all the colors on u,, it’s so hard 4 him to pick a favorite he just loves them all :( watches you apply it in the mornings &&he’s so giddy ‘cause you can pull off anything and he likes how fun it looks. fruity chapsticks are a must, even better if u have a few different flavors and he makes it a little game to guess which one is it that you’re wearing today >_<
yes !! rin, isagi, & nagi all love pinkish shades. there's something so cute about it! i'd say rin is into nude-ish colors, the kinda pink that looks like your lip color but better, and loves if you wear a darker lip liner w/ it <33 it makes your pout pop nd he just cannot stop thinking about it!!!! chapstick flavor - anything sweet :( the sweeter the better. coconut, vanilla, or some other fancy stuff, he loves to lick his lip and taste the remaining traces!
isagi is more into lip gloss i feel like !! he doesn't discriminate between shades, but pink just does it for him. it makes your complexion all dewy and fresh and he likes how sweet it makes u look :< also adores the way ur lipgloss leaves stains on his cheeks and stains his lips a soft pink as well whenever u smooch him. somethin about yoichi strikes me as a simple,, lovely lovely guy and so i think his fav chapstick is just plain strawberry!!!! mmhm
last but not least, nagi likes u in a little toned down pinks. liquid matte, preferably,, so that it's not a pain later when u kiss him and leave marks :x BUT i'd say he also has a think for darker lip colors, i'm thinking a nice deep chocolate brown or perhaps a brown-ish gloss, i'm thinking of that one fenty heat shade..... it catches his attention, makes your lips so vibrant and accentuated, he cannot resist it!!!!! loves ur cola flavored chapsticks

TALK TO ME ABOUT MAKEUP PLEASE!!! What are your favorite brands? What product can you not like without? What are your everyday makeup go to's in terms of products you reach for and enjoy, which products do you hate? (Thank you for answering the perfume ask, I also love similar scents and elements!!)
OH MY GOD I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ASK
i have been ITCHING to have some constructive conversations about makeup that are not so much about consumption as they are about techniques, artistry and just the joy of bringing different aesthetics to life. but unfortunately none of my girlfriends are into it to the level i am. i'm obsessed!!!! to anyone reading this, don't use me as a role model, but this is where i'm at LOL 😂 it truly is a hobby for me
What are your favorite brands?
in the past i wouldn't have said i had a favourite brand per se, but i've been converted to being a mac girl! as a result of them not really promoting themselves in online spaces i was not exposed to their products and they kind of flew under the radar, even though we do have mac stores here (quite a few, actually). also the price point lol so i much preferred to buy drugstore when i was younger. but, at this point, i have so much stuff already that i am planning to not buy as much in the future and just purchase one or two mac products every couple of months, because they have so many things!
for example, i love love love how all the mac girls combine their lipsticks and liners and honestly the idea of using a cool-toned lip liner or a contrasting shade for definition has been such a game changer in a world where so many makeup-wearers have taken to maintaining this uniform, dull look (sorry zoomers but clean girl makeup is just not that girl she will never be that girl!!). i also love the limited edition lipsticks they brought back for the 40-year anniversary and literally scoured every website & phoned every mac store in town to get my hands on bubbles, haku and fleshpot ☠️they are such unusual shades, like, first of all, i have to say that i love how the really nude fleshpot looks against a dark liner. it's soooo ~alternative and a fun way to reference the 90s. bubbles & haku are so colour-shifting in the light as well, i just keep staring at them sometimes :)) they are definitely not the type of colours i would usually wear and i'm not the biggest fan of frosts either. but you know what? looking back, this y2k trend did, in fact, slay
i also managed to snag the stone lip liner, which is always out of stock, as you know. they are releasing new ones at the end of the month and i have my eyes on 'greige' as an additional cool-toned liner (these are SO hard to find). to top off my collection, i managed to find the makeup forever liners in endless cacao and even whatever black (and, of course) our dependable drugstore girlfriend rimmel cappuccino.
but, to come back to the question of brands, i've always felt that maybelline are such an accessible source of good quality lipsticks on the cheaper side. their lip crayons are legit one of my favourites of all time. so lightweight on the lips and so easy to apply. the shade 'lead the way' is the best possible charlotte tillbury pillow talk dupe. the superstay vinyl ink liquid lipsticks are also quite good. the superstay MATTE inks will /not/ budge and probably survive the apocalypse if that's your thing. they have a wide selection of everything you might want, but i feel like the lips is where they are truly excellent
other brands from which i've purchased a lot are essence/catrice. similarly, they have a wide range of products of decent quality that you buy at a lower price point. i don't know about their foundations or powders, but i've bought lip liners, lipsticks, nail polishes, highlighters, blushes and they've all been more than fine
i should mention nyx here as well, as they often have cool stuff that goes viral. VERY good source of lip liners. the fixing spray is also very good. would not buy eyeshadow from them though. i did once and it was very patchy and all the purples looked gray and you couldn't really tell the colours apart. as far as eye palettes are concerned, my collection is mainly from urban decay and colourpop
What product can you not live without?
oooooooffff many! 😂 but, if i was in an absolute hurry, i suppose i would have to say concealer. i have dark circles and if, i just had to put one thing on my face, i would have to be practical and choose that instead of something more unhinged. :)) i'm currently using a cream concealer and realised, at my big age, that, if you apply it with a special concealer brush, you can use way less product and get better coverage 🤦 this technique is also a lot more effective at covering any pimples. before this i was using the same sponge i use for foundation application and was always left wanting. ☠️
What are your everyday makeup go to's in terms of products you reach for and enjoy,
for someone who has a lot of stuff (mainly lipsticks, liners and eyeshadows, to be honest), i have a lot of staple products as well that i don't really mess with and keep repurchasing. it's simplified my life a lot because i don't have the energy to keep trying makeup in every single category :))
the COTY airspun loose face powder - there is a lot of product in one unit (35g) and, since i have oily skin, i go through a lot, but one box of this lasts me a few months, which is amazing. before this i was using the fenty loose powder, but it's a lot more expensive and has less product
the MAC extra dimension blush, shade 'into the pink'. i've had this for two years, used it constantly and just managed to hit a little bit of pan. it's life-changing. finally, i had found a cool-toned blush. perfect for everyday and you do not have to think too much when applying because the colour doesn't build up like crazy to make you look like you've been stung by a bee
the essence liquid ink eyeliner. this thing is so cheap, lasts forever and does not smudge. idek how many of them i've used up over the years
the essence lash princess in green. i'm so pretentious about mascara and could never find one that didn't clump. this one is the best i've tried so far.
the rimmel brow this way crayon in the shade 'blonde'. like with mascara, i NEVER liked my eyebrow pencils, the shades were always off somehow, darker than i needed. this is legit the only one that is the exact colour of my brows and fits seamlessly. i go through these constantly. recently, out of curiosity, i've purchased a similar-looking tube, the alverde brow stick in the shade 04 macchiato (for my DM girlies!) and it seems to be doing the same job. relieved to know i have a backup if rimmel ever discontinue theirs!
the urban decay matte fixing spray. this is a holy grail for a reason. it's getting increasingly more difficult to find in my country though. also, i will have to put this under the microscope bc lately it felt a bit powdery on my skin so it's either i didn't shake it enough, they changed the formula or my combination-oily ass face is acting up again
i use these every time i put makeup on, except the mac blush and the urban decay fixing spray, but even so, i use those two very often. they've become regulars in my routine, but they're not the most exciting products (except the mac blush. that is such a pretty shade). but, for fun, i'm very much a glitter and highlighter person 😂 i recently, finally, bought some of the kaleidos highlighters and they truly are incredible in the way they catch the light and how the colours shift when you move. so those are what i'd label the products i look forward to the most atm, along with haku, bubbles, fleshpot and stone
which products do you hate?
so, no matter how much i try, i just cannot get along with lipgloss. unless i'm going to bed! then when i wake up it has done its magic and my lips are a little less dry and chapped 😂 but as a daytime product, it just gets everywhere, it's very sticky and smudgy and i don't like having to constantly check my lips in the mirror to fix it. just a major hassle overall. likewise with lipsticks that are too glossy and never stay in one place. lip oils? why.
i've also had the misfortune to purchase some foundations i really fucking hate and i have been painstakingly trying to finish them (i have a high chance of finishing two of them this autumn), as i don't really like to waste product. the MUP liquid waterproof foundation is way too thick and cakey and the shiseido revitalessence skin glow is way too liquid and patchy. formulation-wise, these products are the exact opposite but both of them turn me into an oil bath lol
i also don't like cream blushes, highlighters or bronzers. i have oily skin and have to set with powder, so it would be an extra hassle for me to make sure these products can still be seen after i apply the powder. i saw that some people set them with the powder versions of the same product, but that just sounds like extra steps to me and just an excuse to hoard even more products and complicate the routine even more
speaking of blushes and bronzers, cool-toned makeup is just so hard to find in general, everything is orange and peach these days. i have been really contemplating some products i've accumulated mindlessly over the years and i'm going to have to declutter a lot of my blushes and bronzers because they just make me look crazy. they are either way too orange or dark or hyper pigmented. i am very pale and do not tan so i really much prefer either just straight up taupe or pinkish blushes. here i really have to recommend c-, j- or k-beauty because there you can find these tones exactly and i can finally wear some flattering shades 😂
and, i have to say, erin parsons and not_another_hanna on TT, who like wearing cool-toned makeup on the regular, are absolute queens and have such a distinctive, stand-out style. you can tell they don't really care about looking conventional and really appreciate the artistry of playing with colours and formulas in interesting ways
i'm including this handy collage to illustrate the kind of looks i'm into atm ✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Thank you for answering the perfume ask, I also love similar scents and elements!!)
i'm glad to hear it!! birds of a feather, no? 🫶

How to Pair Nude Lipstick with Bold Eye Makeup for a Balanced Look
When it comes to makeup, simplicity is extremely underrated. Pairing daring lipstick shades with bold eye makeup is a recipe for disaster. Less is often more in the world of makeup, as a subtle approach can often make a bigger impact. So what is the solution?
When it comes to creating a polished, balanced look, one of the most timeless and chic combinations in makeup is nude lipstick paired with bold eye makeup. This pairing allows the eyes to shine while keeping the overall look harmonious and sophisticated. Whether you’re attending a special event or just want to elevate your everyday style, this technique is perfect for anyone who wants to make a statement without overwhelming their features.
In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to achieve this classic combination, from choosing the perfect nude lipstick to creating a striking eye look, ensuring your makeup reflects elegance and refinement.
Choosing the Right Nude Lipstick
The first step in achieving this balanced look is finding the right nude lipstick. Nude lipsticks can vary greatly depending on your skin tone, and the goal is to enhance your natural lip color while allowing the eyes to remain the focal point.
For Fair Skin: Soft pink and peach color lipstick shades work best. These shades add just enough warmth and color to brighten your lips without drawing attention away from your bold eye makeup. If you have fair skin, you can check out the ‘all fired up’ shade from Velvet Matte Lipstick.
Tumblr media
For Medium Skin: While peach color lipstick works well for fair skin, beige and brown-toned nudes provide warmth and depth, complementing both your skin tone and bold eye makeup. If you have medium or dusky skin, you can check out ‘corset’ from Colorbar Sinful Matte Lipcolor.
Tumblr media
For Deep Skin: Warm caramel or deeper nude shades will provide the richness needed to balance the intensity of your bold eye look without making your lips disappear. For dark skin lipstick, you can check out ‘after party’ from Colorbar’s Powerkiss Matte Lipstick.
Tumblr media
Matte vs. Glossy Finish:
A matte nude lipstick creates a clean, sophisticated look that pairs beautifully with dramatic eyes.
Glossy finish can add a touch of softness and balance, making it ideal for more intense or shimmery eye looks.
Both finishes work well, so choose the one that complements your overall style.
Creating the Bold Eye Look
The eyes are the star of this makeup combination, and there are several ways to create a bold, eye-catching look.
Smoky Eyes: The smokey eye is a classic that never goes out of style. Blending deep, rich shades such as blacks, grays, or browns will create a sultry, dramatic effect. The key is to blend the shadows seamlessly to avoid harsh lines, ensuring your eyes look soft and smoky rather than harsh and unblended. To get perfect smokey eyes, use Colorbar’s Divine Nector Eyeshadow Palette along with Just Smoky Kajal.
Tumblr media
Graphic Eyeliner: Bold eyeliner is perfect for those looking to add an edgy, modern twist to their makeup. Whether it’s a sharp cat-eye or a more intricate design, graphic eyeliner adds a striking element to your eyes. By pairing this with a nude liquid lipstick, you ensure the focus remains on the clean, sharp lines of your eyes.
Tumblr media
Colorful or Metallic Eyeshadows: If you’re feeling adventurous, try using bold, colorful eyeshadows or metallic finishes. Bright shades like blues, purples, or golds can instantly transform your look into something vibrant and playful. By keeping your lips nude, you allow the boldness of your eyes to shine without overpowering the rest of your face.
Balance the Rest of Your Face
With bold eyes and nude lips, it’s important to keep the rest of your makeup balanced and subtle.
Contour and Blush: Light contouring helps add definition to your face without drawing attention away from your eyes. Use soft, natural shades of blush to compliment your skin tone, giving your cheeks a healthy glow without competing with the boldness of your eye makeup.
Highlighting: A touch of highlighter on the high points of your face, such as your cheekbones and brow bones, adds dimension and a subtle glow. Keep the highlighter soft to maintain the elegance of the overall look, allowing your eyes to remain the focus.
Tips for Perfect Application
Layering Nude Lipstick: Start by lining your lips with a lip liner that matches your nude lipstick to define your lips and prevent the color from bleeding. Apply your nude lipstick and, for extra dimension, add a dab of gloss or highlighter to the center of your lips.
Blending Your Eyeshadow: For a flawless, bold eye look, blending is key. Make sure to use a blending brush to soften any harsh lines and create a gradient effect, especially when working with darker shades.
Setting the Look: To ensure your bold eye makeup stays put all day or night, use a setting spray or powder. This will help keep your eyeshadow and eyeliner in place, ensuring a long-lasting, polished finish.
Conclusion
Pairing nude lipstick with bold eye makeup is a classic and sophisticated look that suits a variety of occasions and styles. By carefully selecting the right nude shade for your lips and perfecting your bold eye makeup, you can create a balanced, elegant look that lets your eyes take center stage. This combination allows for creative freedom while maintaining a polished, professional finish that reflects timeless beauty. So, whether you’re attending a formal event or simply want to elevate your everyday look, this pairing is sure to make you feel confident and radiant.
