This show already had me with the first episode, but it’s since given me whippings, bitings, a homicidal handsome devil suffering from one sided love with hot general lady, and a cross dressing twink’s tragic devotion to his pretty arts & crafts bestie (and that little minx was gay as an Easter basket even when he was little). The leading man is a cranky cat prince with a low growl voice and the leading lady is a bright eyed baddie assassin who karate chops him in the neck so he can get a good night’s sleep.

HELLO AGAIN!! answering these oc asks, as usual

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

rue is a chronic fidgeter. she cannot sit still. always tapping her feet on the ground or picking the skin around her nails or swinging her tail back and forth. there's something about stillness which makes her able to think more clearly and allow the urges to reeaaally manifest so she keeps moving to keep them at bay

wearing gloves means she cant tear up the skin on her hands and for the most part she's always covered with clothing so she cant pick at her skin (its an anxious habit. she also grabs hold of her tail when she's anxious too)

road: What does your OC wear while traveling? Do they have high-quality equipment, or are they making do? What does their gear look like?

during the game she's making do! always in a red robe tho - collects all the red dye and spends the evening changing robes she's bought to fit with the colours she thinks she looks good in.

pre-game when she travels she's wearing Important Bhaalist Robes (that are different to her Important Bhaalist Ritual Robes). deep reds and purples.

roots: Is your OC's look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?

i dont think so?? i think rue's one of the few characters i have that i dont have a set style for her. i guess that plays in with her lack of identity?

pre-tadpole i like the idea of taking outfits that are used for big religious ceremonies and giving them a bhaalist twist to it. but honestly? if its red and covers her up, it's a rue outfit

for my modern au (political affairs) rue dresses in a lot of flowy skirts and sundresses and atheleisure-wear. things that make her seem pure and innocent (the whites and creams and yellows of her dresses) & the comfort of athleisure-wear for when she's doing yoga to rid the dark urges from her mind.

band au rue is totally different. short dresses & oversized jackets (mostly gortash's). big boots. lots of accessories, always doing crazy things with her hair. has extensions, probably.

theyre completely different in vibes and i think thats really funny to me.

im not saying nudity in film is necessarily unethical but its fucked up that actresses are expected to do nude scenes considering the social repercussions for them are way more extreme than the ones faced by men, who have fewer nude scenes.....remember the “we saw your boobs” song? reminding women that our culture considers them degraded and subhuman for appearing nude in public. even tho it also coerces them into doing it.

I love actors, I really do, but can we please chill a bit when it comes to their bodies? Not the characters but the actual actors? Actors who are nude in scenes are being super vulnerable. I get that we're all excited to see more *steamy* things but please please please respect the actors.
