NSR HEADCANONS/STRAWBERRY'S GLROIFIED FANFICTION PART ONE| MAYDAY'S FAMILY
Mayday's family’s names follow the naming convention of transitional months; months where one season transitions into another. Of course there's Mayday, Spring transitioning to summer, her father Augustus (August), Summer transitioning to Fall, her Grandmama Novidia (November), Fall transitioning into Winter, and finally her Mother Phoebe (February), Winter transitioning to Spring
Mayday got her love of rock from her father. He was a massive fan of The Goolings when they were still in power, and kept as much rock music as he could after they started to be phased out
Mayday takes a lot of her attitude from her father. He was always rambunctious, playful, and supportive of her, always reminding Mayday to “Never let the world change you”
Mayday's Grandmama Novidia is just as supportive and loving, and is unusually spry for her age. She usually acts as a mediator between her daughter and son-in-law, and loves them and her grandbaby with all her heart.
While Mayday takes her skin tone, hair color, and eye color from her dad, she shares almost the rest of her appearance with her mother…. And not much else.
Phoebe loves Mayday dearly, but she expresses it…. differently from her husband and mother.
She was the first to point out to Mayday that rock was becoming less and less popular, and tried to nudge her into trying other genres of music.
Phoebe also told Mayday that the only real way a musician could really make anything of themselves in the city would be the Lights Up Audition, and how unlikely being chosen would be. Not that this did anything to dissuade her, as Mayday would just have to be “the best rockstar there ever was!”
Over time, this constant insistence by her mother caused a rift between Mayday and Phoebe. Something that would not get any better when Mayday grew from a rambunctious kid into a rebellious teenager.
Phoebe was really starting to get worried. She loved how passionate Mayday was, but she just wouldn't see reason.
So, despite her husband’s and mother’s disapproval, she enrolled Mayday in the same boarding school she went to when she was a teenager.
Mayday just needed some discipline, that’s all. After all, she went to that exact school when she was young, and she was just fine.
This got really long really quickly so I'm going to break this up. Next part will be about Mayday's time in prison boarding school

I is back to output some more into the JJK NSR madness/hj (Thank you so much love love/j)
Suguru's family do not have his powers or any powers, so his family is "normal". This is one of the reasons why Satoru's family is so unsupportive of Satoru and his relationship. Also yes, their friendship/relationship was doomed from the narrative in canon JJK.
Miles and Gwen helped Satoru realize that he can always go "Nah. Imma do my own thing." Maybe he cuts off his toxic snob family or goes Low Contact with them after they return to Japan.
Fortunately, Yu and Suguru's family are amazing people, so he has a very good support system now.
Yu came out when in elementary school, but transitioned when he entered middle school. He has been very cheerful ever since, as he is just so happy to be living as a boy.
Speaking of supporting systems, Suguru from Canon JJK goes down a dark and troubled arc of corruption, but he doesn't here bc of the support system that he has of friends that he newly made.
One of the reasons why Nanami dislikes his 30 percent skin condition is due to the fact that one of his grandparents is Danish. It reminds him of the fact that he will never be fully Japanese or Danish. (It doesn't help that Nanami is 25 percent Danish, and his skin is 30 percent another color.)
Speaking of Danish, Nanami can speak a bit of Danish and understands German. (A bit.) Maybe Noir and Nanami can communicate since Yiddish and German are quite similar.
Yu and Peni bonded due to their love of Sayu. Yu got into mer via his sister. (What is with it Sayu and attracting trans fans/j?)
Yu, Peni, Margo and Gwen watching Sayu lives on TV. It can get wild.
(I personally HC Peni as genderfae and Margo as genderqueer so yes they are in the trans umbrella.)
Suguru has their hair braided sometimes by Margo. It is a simple braid, and Satoru loves watching his bf's hair getting done. So silky...
Suguru found out about the nonbinary identity from Noir/Miles. They decided to try it out, and now they identify as such.
Shoko in the same vain, but it is unlabeled as of now.
(If anything they are close to being agender, like Noir.)
Shoko is really curious about how Porker works as an elemental pig. It scares Porker, although Shoko means no harm.
Satoru, Suguru and Hobie got into an awful fight. It ended in them getting into detention.
DJ sub is going to LOVE Satoru if he gets to know the spoilt yet genuine kid with love for space.
Satoru, Suguru and Shoko (called SaSiSu by fans) are 16-17. (Highschool grade 2). Nanami and Yu are 15-16. (Grade 1)
In the power Revolution, the JJK gang kept counselors on other floors from coming into the arachnikids fighting Miguel scene. They kept literally hundreds of adults at bay. (After all, Satoru and Suguru call each other "the strongest", and that applies here too.)
I feel like a kid again doing that thing with imagining all my favorite shows together in one big world...
Welcome back with your JJKNSR! Can’t wait to read and respond when I can! (also my reading comprehension today is not good lol, so my response to at least one of the points is very messy).
-Suguru’s family: Oh that is interesting. To have someone with very dangerous/super unique powers that doesn’t come from a family line. That would be a pretty rare scenario, especially if the whole family history is powerless (unlike if it came from a grand or great grandparent and just skipped a few generations which is a lot more common).
It would also make for a neat story to talk about how Suguru was able to learn how to control his powers in the first place since he didn’t have anyone to actually help him but he seems to have a fairly good control over them. Maybe Satoru and Shoko were big helpers in that, or maybe Suguru just has a natural ability of control over his powers. Either way, him having powers and the family wanting to uphold a “normal” appearance would definitely cause a rift in the relationship.
[WAIT HOLD ON!]
I think you might have meant to say Satoru’s family doesn’t have powers and not Suguru? Because the next point (which I was just trying to answer) says Satoru and the point after that (which I glanced at) says Suguru’s family is amazing. So by deduction I think you meant Satoru.
I actually like the idea of it being switched, so like how I originally thought it was, because Satoru’s powers of manipulation of matter and space and stuff just seems more like a familial power that would be passed down than power absorption. But if you want Satoru’s family to be the “normal” one then let me try to come up with something.
Definitely that is why blue became the leader of the group with Suguru and Shoko, so that blue could get away from blues family and be “normal” in blues own way with powers……..
[Okay no wait, I’m just super fucking stupid lol. My reading comprehension is piss poor right now (how dare we piss on the poor). I understand now. Satoru’s family doesn’t like Suguru’s because Suguru comes from a family with no powers. This makes my earlier/first version of point the valid one. Well mostly valid, ignore the second part lol]
So yeah, Suguru’s powers are something completely out of nowhere in his family, and even though he had powers, because of his family history Satoru’s family doesn’t like him (probably don’t even think they are “real” powers honestly). Maybe this can be like a Romeo and Juliet story of star-crossed lovers, since they are from two families who disapprove of each other (maybe Suguru’s family is just afraid of what Satoru’s fam can do or something).
-”My own thing:” Depending on things, I can see these three being a good representation of how to handle familial relationships (maybe good is not the word? idk). But like, Miles is in full contact with his family while Gwen is (at the moment of the AU) no contact with notes family, and Satoru is possibly on low contact.
I can actually see Gwen and Satoru switching contact roles, with Gwen on low contact and Satoru on voluntary no contact. Gwen just needs some time from notes dad once they both make up (and this is when she visits Vinyl City maybe) and Satoru realizes how much blues relationship with blues family has messed blue up and blues relationship with blues friends like Suguru (well more than friends but you know lol).
-Support system: That’s good that Satoru has a good support system! But that makes me wonder, are Yu and Satoru friends in canon? Or are they more teacher/student? Because I took the relationship as teacher/student which made me think Satoru and Yu wouldn’t have been friends in this AU, at least not at the beginning. Them becoming friends in Nueva York is something that could be a good story line to have and help Satoru get even more support to possibly cut contact (or at least go low contact) with blues family.
-Coming out: This makes me think of the phrase “boys will be boys” but the right way to use it like about getting dirty and playing with bugs (not to excuse shitty men) so like Yu being able to do a bunch of traditionally boy things as a kid and teen without much backlash because of his family is a nice thing to think about (also just thinking about beetle battling which is apparently, or was, a very popular pastime for kids in Japan).
-Support/Corrucption: I mean… he’s kinda corrupted right now with the scheme he, Satoru and Shoko were doing, but it’s probably not nearly as bad as the canon corruption arc. At least in this one he has friends and family (which makes me wonder if his family even knew about his little power absorbing scheme with the other two. Because kids from good families do sometimes become bad people or do bad things, so it could be something he hid knowing that his family would disapprove).
-Nanami heritage: I can see that being a problem for him. Also because of Japan not being the most inclusive when it comes to mixed races (at least from what I’ve heard, Japan can be pretty racist). So those two things definitely would combine and make Nanami upset at himself and especially for the visual reminder (even though I don’t think that specific kind of skin condition would be related to race or whatever, just random genetic mutations or passed down genes, but it would still be a visual reminder for Nanami even if it didn’t actually correlate).
-Danish/German Language: I didn’t know Yiddish and German were similar! I looked it up and they are! That’s pretty cool! Makes me think a bit of like people in Italy being able to speak with Spanish people (I think those two were the language, it might have been Portuguese and Spanish, either way it was two European languages that were close enough that two people could have a conversation without actually knowing the other’s language).
But that would be really cool, and probably really funny to see for some people. Noir speaking Yiddish and Nanami speaking German but still being able to understand and hold a conversation.
-Sayu Bonds: Love the idea that Yu knew of Sayu a bit just because ze was a celebrity, but then was absolutely bombarded with Sayu knowledge and lore because of his little sister getting into it and just infodumping on him. He obviously didn’t mind and ended up really liking Sayu a whole lot, so that definitely helped Yu and Peni become friends (as well as Gwen who would do notes best to also chat Sayu with Yu).
And it’s definitely because of mers color. Sayu is just a swimming trans flag lol
-Sayu TV: That meme of all the guys watching (most likely) sports and then get super excited, but it’s Yu, Peni, Margo, and Gwen hehehe
-Genderfae and -queer: Hell yeah! Another genderfae headcanon! Peni and Carna using fae/faer pronouns! (Peni also using kit/she as well, multi pronoun Peni lol. But this is funny you say that because I was gonna start drawing Peni and Carna interacting at some point lol).
As for genderqueer Margo I don’t have a lot to say because I still don’t have an amazing understanding of genderqueer, but I think that’s honestly the point. Like it’s kinda supposed to be confusing and stuff, which is good. It’s also like an umbrella term in itself which is really nice. Honestly with this headcanon I want to draw Margo in a suit for some reason :3
-Braids: For some reason I can see Margo starting to do a protective hairstyle braid without thinking about it (like in a brain fog moment while braiding) and then having to undo it because it was putting way too much pressure on Suguru’s scalp. But otherwise she is definitely having fun doing braids (and trying to do braids on anyone else, even people with short hair like Gwen and Peni who get little mini braids that are like barely an inch long)
-NB Suguru: Good for them! I can see them definitely having questions and probably asking if they are doing the “whole nonbinary thing” correctly or not, and just having to learn to relax and just go with the flow and be who they are. There is no right or wrong way to be nonbinary.
-Unlabelled/Agender Shoko (2 points): Shoko, being in the same vein as Suguru, probably also thought it had to act a certain way to justify its feelings (like sure, both of them might FEEL like they are outside the gender binary, but they both think they might have to ACT a certain way for it to be valid, which is not true and the two learn that).
Shoko and Suguru trying to ask questions through Peni to Noir will probably get tiring for Peni but fae is happy to help because these two have a LOT of questions (and probably not a lot of access to internet at the moment in Nueva York given their reasonings for being there).
-Porker and Shoko: (I know I said Porker was probably like Ellie, but I don’t know if I want to keep that. Him being an elemental pig is probably something I want to keep, or whatever the term would be called then it’s an animal and not a non-animal. Because like, there are definitely plant and space elementals, but like Mama and Yinu also have snake… something in them. I don’t think it would be called “elemental” but that’s a whole different discussion for another ask. Porker has the same thing going on as Mama and Yinu except his is as a pig).
Okay, I kinda find it funny if Porker was scared of Shoko, but not scared of Olivia. I have no idea why this would be the case, but it’s funny to me so its probably what is gonna happen lol. But also because of this, Porker’s powers won’t really work on Shoko because they can’t find the humor or funniness while being too scared.
Hopefully though, Porker realizes Shoko means no harm and starts to trust it (maybe it’s like a Marceline and Jake situation from Adventure Time, where Jake was terrified of Marceline and then the two became good friends by the end of the series).
-Detention: Okay, kinda off topic, but if you know the movie “Sky High” (absolutely love that movie) there is a room where no powers work and that is the detention room. I love the idea that Nueva York has this kind of room where they put people who get into fights with their powers and make them talk out their feelings.
Also, I actually think Hobie would be able to talk a little bit with Satoru, Suguru, and the rest because it hung around Ex-Jay a lot. Its Japanese is definitely not fluent or anything, but it can carry a conversation fairly well. I can see that being a major factor in why it, Satoru and Suguru got into a fight.
Hobie didn’t like one of their attitudes (probably Satoru, but honestly probably both of them), called them out in broken Japanese, and the three started arguing which then turned into a fight. Hobie using vibrations and sound to mess up Satoru’s manipulation powers (like blue tries to make or change something but it’s interrupted by a sudden change in matter with Hobie’s sound manipulation) and the sound keeps Suguru away or messes with their absorption power so that they can’t try and shoot back Hobie’s powers to it.
Also, I think Hobie would know a lot better how to fight, and fight dirty, than either Satoru or Suguru. Suguru comes from a good and loving family who probably never had them get into a fight and Satoru is from a prestigious and well known family who never got into a STREET fight (I can see blue having fighting lessons but if you don’t know how to apply those fighting techniques, especially against a power you don’t know about, then your practice isn’t getting you far). So the fight being a 2-on-1 isn’t as bad as it could have been, especially with the powers at play. If Hobie was anything other than resourceful and creative, I can see it being easily beaten and hurt pretty badly by Satoru and Suguru (even if it was an accident to go that far).
-DJ and Satoru: Honestly, it would be funny if Nova didn’t think Satoru would want to talk about space because blue is part space elemental. Like that would be a rude thing to assume, that everyone who is an elemental just loves that element/topic a lot. So Nova doesn’t really initiate space talk at first, but once Satoru starts off asking questions you know Nova goes full teacher mode and is explaining a ton of stuff (which, if he is around, might get Neon to start talking to, which would then get Peni and Margo into the conversation, bada bing bada boom, the whole group are working on making hypothetical space tech together lol).
-Ages: Oh neat! Because I was trying to get a better grasp on these characters and for some reason (probably the official ages I think) kept thinking the SaSiSu group were more like mid-20s in this AU (also where does the Si come from? Sa comes from SAtoru, and Su comes from SUguru, but where does the Si come from in Shoko? Or is it just a fan thing? idk).
Anyway, good to know both ages and a way to call the specific group SaSiSu without having to write out all three of their names over and over (and we can just use JJK gang like you do in the next point for all 5 of them).
-Revolution: You know that does make a lot of sense actually. There has to be a reason why the counselors weren’t able to stop the revolution. There are quite a few counselors, more than the number of Arachnikids, and it’s not like ALL the patients in Nueva York revolted with the Arachnikids.
In the OG AU, what happens is that a lot of the counselors were convinced by Miles and Jonathan to stand down and the ones that didn’t got knocked out or restrained so the kids could fight Miguel 1 vs. however many Arachnikids there are. But in this AU, the JJK could be the ones to stop the counselors, and with their powers more counselors probably would try to fight since something like color manipulation isn’t as big a deal as total space and psychic manipulation, so they couldn’t all just sit out (some still did, I forget the names of them, but there was an ask earlier saying which ones sat out and which ones didn’t and I still hold that to be true).
Also, a little unrelated, but I like the idea that Jonathan and Olivia fight during the power revolution. Like Jonathan is helping everyone get up to Miguel. Then the JJK gang has to split off to hold off the counselors. And then Jonahan has to split off so he can take care of Olivia who has special tech that Peni can’t mess with. Finally the Arachnikids come face to face with Peter who just tries to talk to them but doesn’t fight them (maybe he has Mayday Parker with him) and finally the Arachnikids get to Miguel.
Literally if you think that NSR is a boss rush, this revolution is much more of a boss rush lol. Honestly I kinda see it like a Naruto game I had for the GameCube. It was basically a street fighter game (so like side profile) and once you beat the fight you progress the story. So like if this was a game you would fight as each group, or one person from the group (so it has replayability if you want to play as Shoko or Yu or someone), and then move on to the next stage and play as someone from that selection. Once you beat the game you can play as anyone from any selection without a cap (so like playing Miles to fight the counselors or Satoru to fight Olivia).
Rambling of possible game mechanics aside, I do really like the idea of the JJK gang being the ones who hold the counselors back!
_______________________________________
Okay! That was fun! Also literally makes me want to watch the show or read the manga so I can actually put these characters in my personal AU version lol. Unfortunately I probably won’t because I am lazy, but honestly just talking about this has made me pretty invested in these characters who I know nothing about, so I hope this is even MORE fun for you because you actually know these characters a lot!
And I’m really glad you are having fun talking about this. It’s super nice to hear other people’s ideas and seeing people combine media. There’s been plenty of crossovers I know only one media or even nothing about but love seeing or reading just because the people making it are having fun. So keep having fun mixing and matching medias lol!

"if you want more specifics on each member..." me who is literally super hyper fixated on them: 🧍/J/NSRS
Honestly, love these opinions, pretty much align with mine<33
Although, bc I am stupidly fixated on them, I honestly don't agree much with Jasmine and Thomas's to a degree. I strongly believe they'll end up helping as well, it'll just take a bit.
Jasmine- Once we see her way of thinking (AKA thought bubble), then she's deemed trustworthy in my eyes. She definitely isn't fully aware of what Maverick has in store for EVERYONE (he's definitely using her to keep himself safe from the rift)
Thomas- we had seen him think before, even when he saw her shadow. But after that we never saw him think again. I feel like somethings off, and possibly that's not...well, him in control.
Maybe perhaps he is possessed by a phantom variant? Who knows.
also, ty for complimenting the ship name <333 (I came up with it myself) and also I understand needing to see more (I'm just weird and can already see them without needing more content</3) ty for answering my question<3333
Opinions on the cranes? And opinion on RosePunch (Ryan x Alex)
i find the cranes interesting. i like how mysterious they’re portrayed in the webtoon but i really hope we get more explanations and closure on who’s the real villain. it’s more obviously the cranes but their manipulation tactics towards the kids really make you question. it’s interesting to watch and i can’t wait to see how everything unfolds afterwards. i hope this makes sense 😭 if you want more specifics on each member we know so far…
jasmine - i like her design. she’s pretty and her personality gives like “idc what you guys do as long as i’m getting paid for it” type of vibes. i don’t think she really cares about the children or what’s really the “good” decision. i think she’s just there to see things play out.
ryan - i trust him i think. the way he warned alex to tell ashlyn something was off about maverick.. he definitely has more compassion compared to the rest of them. hopefully that doesn’t lead to his death or anything..!!
maverick - i don’t think he has good intentions at all, especially with that interaction with ben and how ryan literally warned others not to trust him. he gives me bad vibes.
mr thomas - i knew something was off about him since he saw ashlyn’s shadow. i just didn’t think he’d turn out THAT twisted. and that panel where he sticks the needle in ashlyn’s arm actually sent chills through me when i first read it, it was so well done. we haven’t seen him in a while in the webtoon so i wonder what’s happening there…
as for rosepunch, i don’t have any strong opinions towards the ship. i don’t hate it i think its cute and i can see why people ship it (i also like the ship name), but id need to see more content of them before i decide fully.

I find myself really enjoying OSR/NSR systems like Cairn, or Durf, i like that their rules-lite, and have a lot of freedom for player/gm alike but find myself wanting classes with possible class abilities, or similar mechanics, I'm curious if you have any recommendations of that
THEME: Rules-lite Systems with Classes.
Some things to keep in mind: OSR games are stripped down to bare bones because character ingenuity (rather than brute force) is meant to take the forefront. This is why characters don’t usually have class abilities.
What I’m hearing you ask for is something that keeps light rules, in the same way OSR systems do, but still provides a way to differentiate characters from each-other. I don’t know if all of these suggested games can be classed as OSR or NSR, but they require the same amount of creativity to push the game forward.
24XX Tides Will Rise, by Tubatic.
A STORM IS COMING!
The crew finds themselves at a settlement preparing for a huge seasonal storm. Using mechs like in that one movie with the aliens, or whatever you choose, help prepare the settlement to survive The Storm.
24XX Tides Will Rise is a microgame / oneshot designed in the style of Jason Tocci's 2400, created for submission to the 24XX Jam.
24XX games are a distillation of OSR games, usually only about two pages or so, with dice that scale up or down in size depending on your character’s situation and aptitude. Your character will usually get a special ability related to their class, career, background, or in this version, Pilot Skill. There’s also a simplified money and gear system that gets you one or two pieces of useful items that are destined to break at some point, in order to reduce whatever harm you take. Tides Will Rise is about preparing your local settlement for an extreme weather event using giant mechs, but 24XX games could happen in nearly any setting, and are almost always deadly for your characters. If you want a quick game that you can learn and get up and running in less than 30 minutes, this is the game for you!
Hexfall, by titanomachyRPG.
You are a hyperpowered being who came into larger-than-life abilities because of a profound cataclysm. Heartbreak. Grief. The depths. Physical, emotional, multidimensional–something unlocked incredible power in you. People like you have many names across Stratus Cay, but the most common is “Diver,” a nickname derived from their affinity for falling through the Rift, either on dangerous jobs or just for fun.
Divers’ abilities run the gamut of even the wildest imaginations, and their extreme power and durability makes many of them reckless thrillseekers. The pay is too good and the thrills too extraordinary to turn down the opportunity to go on a dive.
What will you do, falling soul?
Hexfall uses Caltrop Core, a rules-lite system that requires 3d4 and that’s it. Like many OSR games, it uses a hex map that your characters will navigate as they fall through an inter dimensional space called the Rift, their movements and obstacles determined by the roll of the dice. The characters gain tokens as they fall, which act as player currency that can affect narrative beats or navigation rolls as you play. Finally, there are 12 playbooks that you can choose to represent your character: will you be a resilient Giantborn? A liberating MotherThawed? A masterful Myconaut? Each character playbook comes with special moves that only you can do.
High Magic Lowlives, by Gem Room Games.
High Magic Lowlives is a Post-Dungeon Fantasy Tabletop RPG about wizard school dropouts who get into trouble with the Immortal Aristocracy to make coin and build their #brand. Like old school RPGs this is a game about a crew of weirdos finding subterranean vaults filled with treasure, kicking down doors, beating up guards, setting off traps, and taking home as much coin as you can carry. Like new school RPGs the mechanics are simple, drive the story forward, and don't rely on a ton of preparation in advance.
Unlike any RPG you've ever played before you can get paid for livestreaming your fight against the jack-o-lantern queen of zabraxas. Your companions would probably prefer you help them survive the fight, but they'll forgive you when you capture their critical hit for all to see.
High Magic Lowlives uses a ruleset that is a combination of Powered by the Apocalypse, Forged in the Dark, and the Black Hack. Your lowlife has 6 attributes, which could range from 0 to 3. Each character also selects a General Deal, which grants you a special ability, such as access the local library, sweet-talk computers, or gather food in unlikely places. Similar to OSR games, there are tables and tables of items that you can use for conventional and non-conventional uses, and, in step with PbtA mechanics, there are graded levels of success when it comes to hitting things with a weapon. You also have Risk Dice, which deteriorate as you use them, lending the feeling of dwindling resources as you play. If you want a game of high risk, high reward, I recommend High Magic Lowlives!
Aetherway, by Jason Tocci.
Hit the road between worlds with a black cat, a clockwork assassin, a fallen star, and a pilgrim who huffs the ashes of a dead saint. Deliver lumber to communist skeletons living on the back of a gargantuan crab. Ride a comet to a party in the skull of a cosmic god that was converted to condos.
Aetherway is a quirky, planet-hopping RPG zine, compatible with both Tunnel Goons and Troika! Use it to improvise your own adventures, as set of extra Troika! backgrounds, as a conversion guide between Troika! and Tunnel Goons rules, or a bunch of random generators for any other game of planeswalking hijinks.
This is mostly another chance for me to talk about Troika again, because it’s a) a really funky setting, and b) a game that borrows a lot of elements from OSR-style games. You have random roll tables, backgrounds that give your characters skills and abilities, and an initiative order that leaves everything up to chance. However, you can also use Aetherway to play Tunnel Goons, which is a rules-lite game that contains much of the hallmarks of OSR.
Planet Dungeon, by Nathan Lathroum.
Ever since birth, the dungeon is all you’ve ever known. All you’ve ever seen. All you were ever meant to see. Who built the dungeon? Is there anything beyond it? How long has the world been trapped here? You can almost smell the fresh outside air. You can almost feel the heat of the sun. You can almost taste victory. But your journey is not over yet.
Ten floors of the dungeon remain. This is all that stands between you and the mythical surface of the Aboveworld. Does it truly exist, or is it merely legend? Is there still a world beyond these walls?
Planet Dungeon is a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) designed for 3 to 5 players. This book contains all of the rules, systems, and mechanics you will need to play. Additionally, Planet Dungeon requires two regular dice for each player and a singular deck of playing cards. Be warned: Planet Dungeon is not easy, and is intended for players willing to lose.
This game uses 2d6 and a deck of playing cards. As a table, you will create the planet you live on, and select backgrounds for your characters. Each background carries with it a pre-determined set of stats and a unique ability - including the Wretched, which starts woefully bereft of any ability, but has the chance to level up dramatically the first time you reach a boss in any given session. The rooms of each dungeon are determined by a card pulled from the deck, with the suit determining the type of the room. Cards also describe your death, should it happen, as well as what the end of the story looks like, once you escape. If you like simple rules and overwhelming odds, this might be worth checking out.
Lost Eons, by David Blandy.
LOST EONS is solarpunk sci-fantasy. In Lost Eons you will emerge from the darkness into a new light, one dominated by inscrutable and terrible forces you must seek to understand. Using this guide create a post-human character, ready to face the mysteries and dangers of a far future Earth.
LOST EONS is a fast but deep toolkit. Play instant no-prep one-shots and sustained campaigns. Discover beautiful and horrifying new adventures through evocative prompts and procedural generation. This game is no-maths and instantly playable. Mashing together 24XX and Blades in the Dark, gameplay is streamlined, flexible, fast and potentially brutal. Level-up through mutation, your body changing as you evolve. Character Playbooks let you create a character in seconds, yet have limitless customisation through play.
LOST EONS uses all of the basic dice types to tackle obstacles, depending on what you’re doing and what piece of equipment you use to help you. Like Blades in the Dark, this game uses clocks to track consequences, health and adventures, while similar to the grit of dungeon-delving games, the characters find their inventory slowly dwindling the longer they adventure. Survival is difficult in this post-human future. At character creation, you choose one of six different archetypes that will give you a set of skills and a unique talent. If you’re looking for new approaches to play while holding on to some of the tone of OSR games, LOST EONS may be a good fit for you.

I AM LOVING YOUR OC X TATIANA.
They are so soft and make my heart meltm Tho, I've noticed the X on the picture of Kul Fyra on one of your drawings 👁️👁️ . . are we talking about angst ?
1. THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH DUDE 🥺🥺
2. ohohohohho.
the band splitting is also when kul fyra and clover split; the fight was THAT nasty. fame had sort of been driving a wedge between everyone in their last year or so. i haven’t worked out all the kinks yet, but the rift has to do with the forming of the NSR and the Grand Kwasa and ends up with the Goolings’ reputation dragged through the mud.
the split was mutually agreed on, but left both kul fyra and clover pretty devastated. while fyra plunges herself into work, clover drifts from place to place trying to find a new calling. she gets a bit reckless in this time and blames some of the issues she encountered (unable to find new music work, losing a lot of possesions while travelling, things like that) due to that on her breakup, and the bitterness builds from there.
what hurts most of all, of course, is remembering a talk she and kul fyra had right after the Goolings’ first big concert, years and years ago:
clover: “I think we’re gonna live forever.”
kul fyra: “...What do you mean?”
clover: “What we’re doing here? People are gonna remember this night, as we are, for ages! This version of ourselves will be in music history, even when we grow old together we’ll be remembered like this.”
kul fyra: “...Together?”
clover: “Well, yeah... I’d hope so.”
kul fyra: “I can’t wait, then. We’ll be old and have many nights like this to look back on.”
that conversation, to the both of them, was a subtle first admission of love. this was just before they had become girlfriends, and the growing tension was getting harder to ignore. they had promised to grow old together then and there, and that promise, like many others at the end of their relationship, was broken. as clover was going through old photos, she recalled this conversation and began to destroy said photos.
