The Tails Squad find out that they can bring back "Souvenirs" from the games they went to (Basically anything they can hold onto/fit into a bag/some form of storage before going back to their world)

And to think it all started when Sails forgot he was holding some random sword from an open world game they went to.

He fiddles with Miles Electric and within 5 minutes, a hanger that had stood empty an hour ago opens to reveal the exact vehicle they needed, Boom giving them a casual wave as he drives it.

My Favourite trio of NPCs from The Sims 3. Maria Monty, Chiara Goth and Giulia Capp, all from the beautiful Monte Vista recreated for The Sims 4.

Been meaning to make them for the Sims 2 for a while, but somehow i never do. Anyways, they're not *perfect* recreations, mostly because i tried to make them look a bit like their "hypothetical" Sims 2 families.

Maria is Patrizio's younger sister who has been disowned by her parents; A terrible affair, something about putting Pineapple on the Pizza. Now she's trying to get back on her family's good graces by Delivering Pizza without Pineapple.

Chiara is one of the many Goths spread around the world, her wish to learn more about the mysterious sailor who seduced her great-grandmother many years ago is what has lead her to her current career.

Giulia is Contessa's youngest sister who was travelling with their father Octavius when he was killed at a Monte Vista Beach by a lighting. Shocked by this, she has decided to leave the family behind and take her life on her own hands.

Sims 4 doesn't allow me (?) to write little bios, so here you have them with my own head canons. If interested, you can download them on my gallery.

Will likely make them for the Sims 2 soon.

I love Splatoon. Those games are perfect. The characters are great. Mainly the idol, but character who are more side-character (like grandpa, captain, or DJ octavius) are great too. Even npc like the shops owners have a good personality. But they also have an incredible design. And it’s one of the thing I love in those games: the fashion. Everyone is pretty, everyone have cool clothes. And it feels realistic ! And here is my favorite part of those games: the world-building. It’s very complex, and it feels realistic, it’s really well done. From a backstory we discover throughout the 3 games, to a culture described more and more in each game. Everything is explained, and I love it.

And of course, the biggest part of the game: the online content. Turf wars, salmon run, ect… Those are also explained in the lore, which I love. But even if we think about it as a game, it’s fun. Incredibly fun. It don’t feel repetitive, I can do it all day (and I actually do). The concept is quite easy to understand, so even if you just started playing, you can get to the fun part quickly.

So yes, splatoon is incredible. It’s great because it’s a “new” licence of Nintendo compared to the others who are all 30 years old, and it worked well, so maybe it will encourage them to make more new licence ! And I also hope they make other splatoon game. I’ve heard people saying splatoon 3 was the last game of the trilogy; and that, if splatoon 4 there is, it will be a completely different story (still set in the same universe). I hope it will be great, because I only recently became obsessed with splatoon, and I know I will be obsessed for a long time, so I don’t want to be disappointed.

To conclude, I’m glad I, for some reason (I don’t know them), I became obsessed with splatoon. I discovered an incredible game, with an interesting lore and fun gameplay. And I don’t want to stop playing. I don’t want to stop imagining story in this universe. I don’t want all this joy splatoon created in me to disappear.

speaking of plvaa we just started the final trial so thoughts on it so far before we actually get to the ending!! Under cut :-3

so overall the game has been VERY fun. bear in mind that I've been playing with octavius which makes games both more fun and funnier had I played them alone, so my opinion is a little rose-tinted a la having fun with my friend. HOWEVER. ive found the story and mysteries really fun and engaging!!! some of the twists have been pretty easy to call but i don't think that's necessarily bad? other than espella being bezella. that one is like comically obvious. but like the twist of both maya and layton being presumed dead?? that was fucking bonkers and i loved every minute of it (though it was obvious neither of them would 'stay dead'). i ALSO really liked the segment where Luke was a witness; it worked really well as a show of his character as well as a story beat. I'm always a sucker for distrust between good friends due to circumstances and it hit just the right pitch of desperation to be really really fun.

i think gameplay-wise it's a nice mix of both series, with the investigation portions taking after layton and the court parts taking after ace attorney (obviously). the hint coins in trials is a really nice mechanic & being thrust into an environment with new rules other than what seems most logical is a really fun way to play off the ace attorney format of solving cases.

I've had a running argument with otto that it's not actually magic and I'm genuinely excited to see how it goes. I still am convinced it's all just some incredibly convoluted plot a la unwound future or curious village or. any of the Layton games, but theres just enough doubt in my mind that it's compelling to consider. Im really excited to see how the final mysteries pan out...

visually the game looks pretty nice! though I do agree with the common sentiment that the styles clash a bit (every time we see phoenix in a cutscene surrounded by labyrinthians he looks SO out of place, or the one scene where phoenix and espella are talking and luke looks copy-pasted in). I would've loved to see the whole game in the Layton style, considering most NPCs trend that way anyways. It makes the more ace attorney-styled ones stick out like sore thumbs, like Greyerl and Mystere. Though it's so odd that most plot-important NPCs so far have been ace attorney styled, except for Kira? It caught me a bit off guard. But, even with the style mismatch, it still holds together.

I did want to talk about my disappointment with Greyerl though. Ive never been a fan of the 'secretly a girl/boy but posing as a different gender for REASONS!!' trope, more often than not because it's a) Easy to clock and not very interesting and b) Tends to lead into weird transphobic territory, a la "he's ACTUALLY a SHE?!?;?" or vice versa (or, in more annoying cases, like robin newman from dual destinies, flipping a switch in their behavior and suddenly presenting the complete opposite way. though i will admit i liked robin as a character). It kind of annoyed me with the whole thing. Either way, it was a smaller thing that didn't really impact my enjoyment all that much, but I still wanted to address in some way. I liked that Greyerl got to say it themself instead of being completely forcibly outed this time, but the whole thing with the unpinning of the hair was pretty dumb to me. I think their design could have stayed the same either way; an androgynous butler is not that strange of a character archetype, and makes way more sense than them just. Having extremely long hair somehow pinned up to make it look like a bowlcut. Blech. Whatever.

ANYWAY. This post is far too long already but I just wanted to close it out :-P TL:DR PLvAA has been a very fun and engaging experience so far and i hope and pray that it sticks the landing 😁👍💥‼️

Empire of Thieves, Session 16

The party attacked Mama Griselda's crew and routed them in an epic battle that saw two PCs knocked down -- one twice! This PC climbed in through the roof trapdoor but, well, you know what they say about splitting the party.

While Griselda and most of her crew were wiped out, several powerful NPCs escaped to plot further destruction:

Merry Gold: Griselda's adopted daughter, she's a half-elf L5 Rogue (Thief) who saved her mother's Folding Boat and is using it as a basis for a piracy campaign.

Hugh Crab: Merry Gold's boatman from the human underfolk Crab Clan.

Razor Feng: A half-orc sniper and rabble-rouser. L6 Rogue/Assassin.

Timmy Tumbles: A halfling jester/L6 Bard.

Black Axe: The former leader of the Dripping Blades gang, which was also wiped out by the PCs. He's a L5 Warlock (Hexblade, Pact of the Blade) with a Battle Axe +2.

Theodoric: L4 Rogue, a human "X-Man" with a magical X tattooed on his cheek.

Theodoric's elderly bugbear manservant.

Brenna the Shadow, a human smuggler and boatman for the Dripping Blades.

Also if he doesn't die, there is one more warrior who could escape from the fight I described:

Urzul Crocodile, Merry Gold's adoptive half-orc brother. He is a 4th level fighter with a glaive.

In addition, they are on their way to meet up with...

Octavius the Executioner, Merry Gold's adoptive brother. He's a L7 fighter with a fancy two-longsword style. He was killed by PCs but reincarnated into a drow! Should be fun.

Hermina Leech: The Executioner's wife is an underfolk warrior considered one of the most violent and sociopathic killers of Leech Clan.

This is a good basis for a pirate crew and they hate the PCs! Next time they meet, the fight will be a little less one-sided.

hiiii hello hi. so these are two NPCs from ursula’s backstory: Octavius Durga and their daughter, Olivia. Octavius is a weretiger and the headmaster of the Silverbite Academy, the order of the lycan bloodhunter training school that both ursula and sasha attended. Octavius was a bit strict and gruff, but all of the students loved them and tended to view them as a parental figure.

As is custom for the valedictorian(s) of every graduate class, Ursula and Sasha spent their required year of fieldwork training under the mentorship of their headmaster. The three remained close even after the year of field training was over, and Octavius became a family friend to the young couple. Sasha and Ursula would often babysit Octavius’s daughter, Olivia, while her parent was away on missions or busy with running the school. Olivia was energetic, rambunctious, and mischievous, but Sasha and Ursula loved her. Olivia and Ursula were particularly close, and Olivia tried to emulate her cooler, older “sister” as much as she could.

As the years went on and Olivia grew older, she became more and more interested in the academy and bloodhunting. She couldn’t wait to become a bloodhunter, and when she was 15 she formally asked to be admitted to the academy three years early (she was already a lycanthrope due to inheriting it from her parent (students of the academy are bitten and transformed into lycans upon graduation), and she had picked up plenty of knowhow from growing up around the academy grounds, so she figured she was more than ready to begin her training). Octavius, who was well acquainted with the horror and danger of being a bloodhunter, forbade their daughter from ever following in their footsteps. 

A few months later, things at the academy were starting to get weird. People started behaving very aggressively and tensions were unusually high. Ursula, being the smart gal that she was, began to figure out what was going on: Sasha, angry that he was unable to transform and jealous of  everyone around him, made a pact with the evil lycanthrope god Malar in order to get unimaginable power. This power manifested as a sort of magical rabies, which Sasha spread to most of the other lycans at the academy. When Ursula went to confront Sasha in front of Octavius, he slit her throat and devoured her body. Octavius, already beginning to feel the influences of the rabies, did nothing to stop him.

Seven years later, when Ursula came back from the dead, she eventually found Octavius, no longer infected, sheltering alone in the ruins of the academy, which had been completely destroyed. Olivia was nowhere to be found, and Octavius was unwilling or unable to explain how she died. Eventually Ursula pieced it together: Octavius had killed and eaten their daughter in the same way that Sasha did to Ursula. The horror of what they did was enough to snap Octavius out of the influence of the rabies, but it was too late. Remorseful and broken, Octavius helped Ursula hunt down Sasha and destroy Malar’s influence once and for all.

I like to think that Octavius eating Olivia came from a sense of morbid overprotectiveness. They had always worried about their daughter, like I said, and the magic rabies, like, intensifies any negative feelings that the infected lycan has (like sasha’s jealousy/anger, for example), so when Octavius finally snapped I think their mindset was “I have to protect you from yourself and from the world around you and the only way to do that is to kill you and eat you”. Hence, the comic. Plus I think after Ursula ~mysteriously disappeared~, Olivia wanted to finish what her idol started and get to the bottom of what was going on/solve ursula’s disappearance/prove herself to her parent. And I think when Octavius found out that Olivia had been sniffing around they yelled at her for always running into danger and that argument escalated until Octavius was finally fully consumed by the rabies and was like “I am going to keep you safe whether you want me to or not”.

Anyway. If you read all this i love you. I don’t think octavius is a bad person-- it wasn’t their fault what happened-- but MAN did they mess up. Literally will never forget the moment when the DM revealed what happened to Olivia lol. Someday I’ll post art of what Octavius looks like in their human form (spoiler alert: they’re a dilf).
