Bakugou Katsuki who’s heart tightens when his s/o cries in front of them, his lip slightly quivers because the pain you feel is shared with him and he promises to beat up and kill whatever or whoever it is that made you feel that way.
Midoriya Izuku who likes to take on a list of chores all the time to make sure when his s/o comes home from work she can shower and rest right away because to him, even as a pro-hero, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for them.
Todoroki Shoto who brings home a single flower everyday, usually a different one and gives it to reader as a small gesture of his love. Sometimes he struggles to say how he feels verbally but he’ll never let that stop him from showing you. You now have a vase full of a bunch of random flowers, but can’t help the smile that finds your face every morning you walk by them.
Bakugou Katsuki who loves to cook for reader, he’ll try new recipes to understand what they like and don’t like, what they love or what they hate. He’ll always serve them the first plate and wait for them to try it to see their reaction, “So, how is it?” and if they like it you best believe he’s saving that recipe in a folder to keep in mind when to make whenever you’re mad at him. (A smart tactic that always wins you over when you guys argue.)
Midoriya Izuku who texts you during his missions and patrols to remind you that you’re doing an amazing job. It’ll be something as simple as “I’m proud of you.” or even “You’re gonna have an amazing day, can’t wait to see you after work.” And it always brightens up your day because hearing it from him, you know it’s true.
Todoroki Shoto who doesn’t mind doing the laundry even when you tell him he doesn’t have to fold your underwear as you find it a bit embarrassing but he’s so care free he doesn’t even think about it when he does. “No. You folded the laundry last week, it’s my turn to do it. I want you to rest.” He’s not taking anything else for an answer so you better listen to him when he says to rest, he means it.

₊✩‧₊˚ “i wanted her to look at me, but she couldn't pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair” ˚₊✩‧₊
₊✩‧₊˚ original request ˚₊✩‧₊
Tumblr media
The common room was unusually quiet, a stillness lingering after the group hangout had come to an end. Most of Class 3-A had already retired to their dorms, but you, Bakugou, and Midoriya remained. The glow of the setting sun filtered through the windows, casting an amber hue over the room, intensifying the awkward tension that filled the air.
You fidgeted with the hem of your shirt, avoiding eye contact with either of the boys. Something about the silence felt... heavy. Your heart thudded uncomfortably in your chest, like there was something you should be saying but couldn’t find the courage to. Maybe it was the way Bakugou kept glancing at you from the corner of his eye, or the way Midoriya sat there, more pensive than usual.
“I think I’m going to head to bed,” you said, offering the boys a tired smile. “I want to get as much rest as I can before tomorrow.”
Izuku smiled back and nodded, while Katsuki only grunted in response. You felt the weight of his gaze as you turned and walked toward the dorms, but you didn’t dare look back.
Once you were gone, the silence in the room grew heavier.
Katsuki stared at the floor for a long time, fists clenching and unclenching as he wrestled with something in his mind. Finally, he broke the silence.
“I don’t get why you two aren’t dating yet,” he said, his voice gruff.
Izuku blinked, caught off guard. “Huh?”
“You and her,” Katsuki snapped, his irritation rising. “You’ve been joined at the hip since middle school. Inseparable. I figured you two had feelings for each other.”
Izuku’s eyes widened, and he frantically waved his hands in front of him. “Oh, no, no! We’re just friends, Kacchan. We’ve always been close, but it’s not like that. We’re like siblings, basically.”
Katsuki’s brows furrowed in confusion. “I don’t get it.”
Izuku tilted his head. “Get what?”
“You had all her undivided attention growing up,” Katsuki said, his voice barely a whisper at first, then louder as his frustration bubbled up. “And that’s all I’ve ever wanted.” He clenched his fists, the words pouring out before he could stop them. “I wanted her to look at me, but she couldn’t pull her eyes away from you and your stupid hair.”
Izuku’s mouth fell open, shock written all over his face. He didn’t know what to say, the confession hanging in the air between them. Katsuki kept going, almost like he couldn’t stop himself.
“And now you’re telling me you don’t even like her?” he asked, incredulous. His voice cracked slightly, and he hated how vulnerable he sounded, but he couldn’t stop the words from coming out.
Izuku stared at Katsuki for a long moment, processing everything. He knew. He had always known about your feelings for Katsuki, ever since you’d confided in him back in middle school. He’d kept it a secret, though, respecting your wishes. But now, seeing Katsuki like this, he couldn’t just stay quiet.
“Kacchan,” Izuku started slowly, choosing his words carefully, “I think you should talk to Y/N about this, not me.”
Katsuki blinked, his confusion deepening. “Huh?”
Izuku stood up, giving Katsuki a gentle, knowing smile. “Trust me, Kacchan, she feels the same way.”
Katsuki’s eyes widened. “Same way about what?!”
But Izuku was already heading toward the dorms, leaving Katsuki behind to stew in his thoughts.
The silence that followed was deafening. Katsuki’s mind raced as he tried to piece everything together. Could it be true? Could you really feel the same way he did?
A month had now passed and you all had graduated, and UA's once-bustling dorms were now quiet, most of the students already packed up and gone, ready to take on the next chapter of their lives. Bakugou Katsuki stood by his car, having finished loading his belongings. He hadn’t stopped thinking about that night- about the conversation with Midoriya. About you.
He had replayed Izuku’s words over and over in his mind: “Trust me, she feels the same way.”
But what did that mean? Could it be true? After years of feeling like a shadow in your life, of competing for your attention with Deku, the thought that you could have possibly felt the same way about him all this time was too much for him to fully process.
As he carried the last box from his dorm, Bakugou passed by your room, the door wide open. He glanced inside and saw you still packing, surrounded by half-filled boxes and scattered belongings. Typical. You always took your time with things like this.
Clearing his throat, he stepped into the doorway. “You’re takin’ your damn time, huh? Everyone else is done.”
You looked up, surprised to see him but greeting him with a soft smile. "Katsuki. Shouldn’t you know by now how much of a procrastinator I am?”
He chuckled, a low sound that felt strange to him even now. “Yeah, I know.” It got quiet after that. Bakugou stood there, awkward in the silence, shifting the box in his arms. He wasn’t used to this- this tension between you two. For once, you didn’t seem to be looking at him through the lens of just another friend. He couldn’t explain it, but the air between you felt charged, and Bakugou hated how it made his heart race.
You hated the silence, too. Desperate to fill the void, you opened your mouth to say something, but Bakugou beat you to it.
“Remember that night? After the hangout?” He started, voice rough, avoiding your eyes. “When you left, I talked to Deku.”
You blinked, nodding slightly as if encouraging him to continue.
“He told me I should talk to you. That you
felt the same way.” He hesitated, his pride making the next part difficult. “But I don’t get what the hell he was talkin’ about. What did he mean?”
You tilted your head, feigning confusion. “Was that all he said? It sounds incomplete.”
Bakugou groaned, frustrated. You were always doing this- making him dig deeper. But he had already started this conversation, and now there was no turning back.
“You know, yn, our entire lives, you were always closer to damn Deku,” Bakugou gritted out, the words coming fast and hard. “The one thing I ever wanted was for your attention to be on me, not that damn nerd. But it never seemed to go my way. You could never take your damn eyes off him.”
You swallowed hard, shocked at how raw his words were. Bakugou wasn’t one to open up, let alone admit something like this.
“I guess I just never understood why,” he continued, the frustration growing evident in his tone. “I did everything in my power to make it go my way. For you to notice me, even acknowledge me. But it never seemed to go that way, huh?”
The silence that followed his outburst felt suffocating. Bakugou hated it, hated how vulnerable he felt after saying so much. But before he could backtrack or cover it up, he forced himself to continue.
“But I’m glad we got closer these last few years,” he muttered, softer now, his eyes fixed on a random spot on the floor. “It’s all younger me could’ve asked for. I don’t say this much, and you probably won’t hear it from me again, so listen up. I’m glad we were friends.”
The words hung in the air for a moment, and you could hardly breathe. Bakugou
was glad? He wasn’t angry, wasn’t frustrated with how things turned out? After all these years?
You didn’t know what to say, so you fell back on humor, hoping to lighten the mood. “You said ‘were friends.’ I’m not gonna let you get rid of me that easily, Bakugou. We’ll see each other. I’ll make sure of it.”
Bakugou chuckled, but the weight of the moment still lingered. You hated it. You hated feeling like there was something left unsaid, something too big to ignore any longer.
So, before you could lose your nerve, you spoke up, your voice softer than usual. “You know, Bakugou
while you’re here, I should admit something.”
He raised an eyebrow, curious now. “What?”
“The reason I pushed you away all those years ago
it’s because I had a huge, fat crush on you.” You laughed, though the sound was nervous, unsure. “Being a dumb middle schooler, I thought that if I focused on Izuku, it’d help me get rid of those feelings. But all I ended up doing was accidentally blocking you out. I’m sorry for that.”
Bakugou stared at you, processing your words slowly, before his eyes narrowed. “Had?”
“Hm?”
“You said ‘had.’ You ‘had a crush on me.’” His tone was tense now, eyes locked onto you, searching.
“Yeah,” you replied, nervously laughing again. “I guess I never told you. I had the fattest crush on you.”
“What about now?”
The question caught you off guard. “What?”
“What about now, yn?” Bakugou dropped the box in his arms and took a step closer, his body language suddenly more intense, more focused. He was agitated now, his frustration bubbling to the surface again. “yn, I just poured my heart out to you. Flat-out told you how I felt, how much I wanted your attention- how much clearer do you want me to be? I love you, yn. Is there any- any sliver of you that still has feelings for me?”
Your breath caught in your throat, heart racing as you processed his words. But all you could do was nod.
He didn’t hesitate. “Can I kiss you?”
You nodded again, barely able to manage a breath as Bakugou closed the space between you. When his lips met yours, it was fierce, raw, but there was something so undeniably gentle about it. Every emotion, every unresolved feeling, every year of longing was poured into that kiss. The tension of the past years melted into something warm and real between you.
And as you stood there in the quiet of your half-packed dorm room, the weight of the unspoken finally lifted, replaced by the comfort of knowing that maybe, just maybe, you both had been waiting for this moment all along.

THREE. undying love
Tumblr media
NOVEMBER 27TH
1:47 PM
you hear the ring of the bell as soon as you and your friends enter the cozy cafe that recently opened up. it was cute; baby blue colored walls decorated with fairy lights and soft music playing in the background. the space gave you peace of mind, taking away all the stress that was bubbling up deep inside you.
you all made your way to a booth that was big enough to accommodate all six of you. after getting yourselves situated, you found yourself sitting in between shinsou and todoroki with midoriya sitting in front of you, uraraka and iida on either side of him.
you noticed a menu on the table and picked it up. you looked through the menu and decided on what you wanted, spicy ramen and strawberry boba. everyone took their turn looking through the menu and after several minutes, everyone knew what they wanted to order. midoriya and uraraka offered to go make the orders in line while the rest of you stayed back, to which you all agreed.
“so,” shinsou started, breaking the silence and turning to look at you. you look at him with a raise of your eyebrows, indicating that you were listening.
“when are you going to confess your undying love to bakugou?” shinsou asked, smirking at the way your nose scrunched up and the very obvious blush creeping onto your face.
“hitoshi, be serious. we don’t even know each other,” you replied, rolling your eyes as your best friend attempted to wriggle his eyebrows, making him look dumb.
“if you wanted to, you could get to know him, l/n,” iida said, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
“yeah, one of these days you two are bound to talk since we’re friends with his friends,” shinsou added.
“yeah, but—” you started before todoroki cut you off.
“speak of the devil,” the boy said and you all looked over to where his gaze was pointed at. a pink-haired girl with four guys following behind her was approaching your table, all of whom you were familiar with due to having at least one class with them.
however, one guy in particular caught your eye; his spiky ash-blond hair and his piercing red gaze were pleasing to the eye. you thought his eyes were the prettiest thing ever (that’s a lie—even though you liked bakugou’s eyes, no one could compete with the beauty of todoroki’s eyes).
shinsou smirked when he saw exactly who your eyes landed on first and started obnoxiously nudging your side with his elbow. you looked at him with creased eyebrows before lightly slapping his arm, muttering something along the lines of how he needed to behave for once.
“hey, guys!” mina exclaimed, stopping by your table.
“hey, mina!” you smiled at her, always pleased to see your happy-go-lucky friend. you liked that about mina, she always brought positivity into your life.
“these are my friends. i’m sure you know them,” mina said, pointing to the boys behind her. the boys you recognized as kirishima, kaminari, and sero all greeted you while bakugou stayed silent.
“hey, boys,” you said back, not noticing the way bakugou’s eyes landed on you.
“d’ya mind if we sit with you guys?” kirishima asked, scratching the back of his neck. “the place is real packed and there’s no tables left.”
“of course, kirishima! the more the merrier!” iida exclaimed, scooting over to make space for the group.
“this’ll be a great opportunity to catch up, won’t it?” shinsou asked with a smirk on his face, subtly winking at you.
and this is how you found yourself sitting between shinsou and todoroki once again. however, now there was kaminari on shinsou’s left and sero next to kaminari. across from sero was uraraka with midoriya on her right and bakugou on his right. next to bakugou was kirishima, mina, and iida. it was a pretty packed table, but you didn’t mind at all.
what you did mind was that somehow, bakugou ended up across from you. shinsou was having the time of his life watching your reactions every time you and bakugou made eye contact by accident.
when your food came, you were delighted, having been ready to eat since you left the dorms. as you were sipping on your boba, you heard bakugou kiss his teeth which made you look up at him.
“what’s wrong?” kirishima asked, a concerned expression on his face.
“they got my fuckin’ order wrong. i asked for spicy ramen and they gave me katsudon,” bakugou replied with an obviously annoyed tone. “how the fuck do you even mix that up?”
you don’t know what came over you, nor do you care to even understand, but a surge of confidence suddenly bursts through you. you pushed your untouched bowl of spicy ramen towards bakugou before speaking.
“you can have mine.”
everyone paused to look at you, only your friends staring at you in utter shock. you would never willingly give someone your food, even if it was just a trade. shinsou and todorki shared a knowing look before shinsou started smirking, causing todoroki to roll his eyes.
“nah, it’s fine, l/n. we don’t want to trouble you, especially after invading your hangout,” kirishima said, furrowing his eyebrows. “we can just fix his order.”
“no, really, it’s fine. the line is long anyway,” you said, pointing to the line behind your table for emphasis. “we can just switch and finally enjoy our food in peace.”
kirishima looked at bakugou who just sat in silence, staring at y/n. kirishima didn’t miss the blush spreading across bakugou’s cheeks either. he just nodded at you with a smile on his face and started digging in.
you finally looked at bakugou again and he quickly looked away, trying to hide the blush he knew was on his face. he pushed his bowl towards you and said, “thanks or whatever.”
you smiled softly at him before you took the bowl and immediately started eating. soon after, everyone was immersed in their own conversations while enjoying their food. bakugou couldn’t keep his eyes off of you which didn’t go unnoticed by everyone besides you.
as you were talking to shinsou and scrolling through instagram, you suddenly got a text from one of your cheer sisters that read, ‘bro wtf’, followed by a picture. you stopped talking and furrowed your eyebrows which caught shinsou’s attention. he looked down at your phone to see what made you stop, but as soon as you clicked the message, the smirk that was always etched onto his face dropped to a frown.
the picture that she sent made your heart drop to your stomach. it was a picture of monoma making out with a girl that was sitting on his lap. midoriya had noticed your mood switch even though he was a little far from you. he had caught shinsou’s eye and had silently asked what was wrong. shinsou mouthed, ‘monoma’, and midoriya frowned.
with a tilt of his head towards the door, midoriya silently asked shinsou to console you elsewhere, knowing full well how you felt about showing your vulnerability around people. shinsou nodded before tugging on your sleeve.
“guys, ‘m gonna take y/n back to her dorm. she’s not feeling well,” shinsou said. he turned to look at kaminari and sero and they silently got up to let you and shinsou go.
“aww, feel better, babe,” mina pouted as she watched you pick your boba up. “i’ll see you back at the dorms later.”
you mumbled a ‘thanks’ before you got up to leave with shinsou. however, bakugou suddenly stopped you with a call of your name. everyone, besides you, raised their eyebrows in confusion at bakugou. he never called anyone by their name upon first meeting them, usually making up some nickname for them based off of their appearance.
bakugou held his hand out towards you with money in it. you tilted your head to the side before asking, “what’s this for?”
“for the food,” bakugou huffed.
you chuckled before putting your hands up in a defensive manner. “it’s fine! our food was the same amount of money anyways. you don’t owe m—”
bakugou cut you off with a glare, “just take it before i change my mind.”
you nodded sheepishly and took the money before thanking him. after that encounter, you and shinsou bid your friends goodbye before walking out of the cafe.
todoroki noticed something that no one else did. he saw the way bakugou’s growing annoyance faded away into a little frown as he watched you and shinsou leave. it wasn’t his usual frown that he kept on his face everywhere he went, no, it was much deeper than that.

my best | Bakugou X reader
reader; quirkless midway | part 1 (had this published back in 2021- which is why the storyline is just dramatic, some parts were just cringe to read (near-death-experience-cringe-level)-- and have edited it now, used to be a reader-favourite)
Tumblr media
"Don't you dare, Bakugou Katsuki!" you barely manage to push him back and hurry to help Midoriya.
"Fucking bitch, who the hell do you think you're pushing, eh?" it's always the boys around in his gang who begin the retaliation, not even Bakugou himself.
"Oh, did I put a scratch on your pretty little boy? Run off if you don't intend to have broken bones before you reach home!" your eyes narrow dangerously and you step forward.
Many of them scoff. Bakugou's gaze stays deadset on your face, however.
"A quirkless bitch on you can barely lay a finger on me." one of the boys steps towards you pushing his sleeves back but you're quick to kick his shin hard and land another one in his abdomen.
If there's one thing living alone has taught you, it's being quick with your reflexes and actions because that in itself is the sole way you can overpower people in danger.
"Looks like a person with a pitiful quirk doesn't get a say." your words are a lot more vicious than intended– quirks has always been a sensitive topic for you to begin with.
Your parents put you up with quite the torture when you didn't inherit either of their quirks.
Something between a scoff and a snort escapes Bakugou's lips, he turns away.
"Dude– did you see that?" the others turn to him in frustration, "She pushed you and even hurt Makoto!" the boy speaking opens his mouth again but lets out only a hiss when you stomp his foot.
The reason they don't fight back is because Bakugou told them not to, you're aware of it.
Bakugou doesn't want anything on his record before he joins U.A. and so he wouldn't ever physically hurt you, a girl, although he does have quite sharp of a tongue himself.
"And?" his head turns back to you momentarily, you find an odd twitch behind the blood-red orbs.
"Does mister wannabe hero want one too?" you sugar-coat your words with venom.
"I could kill you in a second." he says coolly.
Internally, you're amazed by the sheer confidence and power in his voice as well as with the odd, rigid tenderness he can word his power in but like every single time, you don't show it.
Because no matter how admirable the rest of his personality is, Bakugo Katsuki is only a bully to you. You'd never let him be more.
"Mh?" you let out a challenging hum, "Go on then, try."
Bakugou stares at you for another moment before lightly shaking his head and turning to the other boys, starts shouting, "The fuck sort of extras are you to be beat up by a fucking stupid little quirkless shit like her, huh?!" his head turns back to you, "And you, cheeky little bitch," he grabs your arm, "come with me." and drags you along too fast for you to stop him.
"What the fuck?" you pull yourself away the moment he's slowed down and notice only now that the both of you are behind the school building.
"Try, huh? You think you'll fucking survive a blow of mine?" he closes in angrily making you step further and further back until you're against the wall, then lets his lips tug upwards in some sort of a smirk.
"A-And what makes you think I won't?" you try your best to keep composure despite the shock from unexpected behaviour from him.
Truth be told, Bakugou can kill you. Whether he will or not, you don't know.
You may find him really cool at times, but then again, he's only just a bully and your trust for him lies in the negative.
"You're quirkless, bitch. You go running your little shitty mouth around like this and someday someone's going to punch it shut." his eyes narrow, "You think you can defend yourself from people with quirks like mine? The only thing you can do is let someone protect you– "
His words pinch you in the wrong spots.
A sheath of clear fluid fills your eyes, "So says the big old bully– well here's the truth for you, Bakugou– " words fall out of your mouth before you can process them, "you will never become a hero! I'll tell you if I have to– a fucking bully like you is already a stupid, mean villain and you can't ever change that!"
The only thing I can do is– ah.
Living alone has taught you another thing; no one can do anything without a cost. This protection would be at cost of every ounce of life left in you.
Your parents left you because you didn't inherit their quirks– what phase in life they were in to need you to have it, you don't know. All you are sure of is that those responsible for your origin didn't "protect" you.
The only one who has ever protected you is you yourself.
"You think U.A. will ever like an asshole like you to ruin their reputation? Wake the fuck up, Bakugou Katsuki, you're already walking down a villain's path– you're already torturing and hurting your own childhood friends. Who in their fucking right mind would trust you as a hero?"
Bakugou's eyebrows have furrowed, his lips twitch but not a sound escapes them.
"I keep running my mouth around? Fucking blame me– there's shitty excuses for human beings like you walking around as if they actually mean anything to any fucking person and you expect me to shut up and sit quiet?! Let me get punched if that's what'll happen, I'm not having a stupid fucking villain's bullshit bullying at my watch!"
Pure silence echoes in the air for a moment, only the sounds of your long, irregular breaths fill this gap.
"Big words." Bakugou's voice has never been smaller, you barely can make out how he's processing your words, "Really big words.. "
"You're a dick." your lips tremble, eyes venting through rivers of tears, "I fucking hate everything about you– you're so pathetic, Bakugou. You're such a.. disgrace."
Something twirls in his eyes again. This time, it's an emotion you've never before seen him have.
"Only you and your little puppy Deku aren't disgraces, everyone else is, no?" his characteristic hostility is absent, you don't know what to make from this but barely care at the moment.
"Izukkun is already more of a hero than you can ever become." you try to push him away from you, "You fucking bastard, all you do is bully him like any cheap street thug– "
On instinct, Bakugou push you back.
What he doesn't realise is that you're much more frail than you look, and that he's much stronger than he does.
His push is strong, you're rammed into the wall hard and hiss out in pain clutching the back of your head and losing balance instantly to fall onto your knees.
From this position, you see his feet take him away.
That's the last time the both of you exchanged any contact at all that month.
Every time you'd look his way, Bakugou would avert his gaze. Everytime you'd pass by him in a corridor or require to approach him for classroom chores, he would pull up a perfect act as if you'd never existed in the first place.
An odd feeling of uneasiness keeps growing inside you by the passing moment and you barely know how to handle it let alone handle this odd situation with Bakugou.
Of course, all thought lead to only a single solution– confront him.
You've come to accept you spoke too much that day and that maybe his warning of not running your mouth too much was indeed something you should have thought upon.
Bakugou Katsuki may be a bully but you don't think of him as a villain at all. You know for a fact that nothing can take him down that line.
Words said that day were aimed to hurt him and the past month proves that they did.
All you did was under influence of your anger and naturally, you find yourself regretting everything.
You catch him leaving school the next day.
He doesn't turn on your call but his gang of boys do. They look more annoyed than ever– you know at this point they all hate you more than anything, especially considering how they keep on getting kicked by you and are unable to respond because of Bakugou.
"You're going to pay for being such a cheap little bitch." one of them hisses out, "You've got Bakugou mad now, he's going to blow your head to bits."
"A kick each isn't enough for you all?" you hate them all equally, "Looks like I'll have to do overtime handling a bunch of bratty kids with no shame."
"Shut that trap of yours, you little hoe." another one seems too far fed up with you, "Go suck your boy Midoriya's dick– he's the only one who wouldn't be able to handle your shitty self."
Bakugou stops at that and turns to the boy. There isn't an expression on his face.
An odd hope in your finds yourself wait for a minute to see if he replies to the guy by at least saying he's going too far but Bakugou does nothing.
A frown settles on your lips as the other boys start talking shit too.
"Looks like you're really enjoying this." your gaze and words are directed solely on Bakugou's face.
He doesn't bother turning to you at all but you can tell he knows who you're talking to and intentionally keeps his expressions turned away.
After your words however, a ghost of a frown mimics yours on his expression but he turns his head back too quick for you to see and starts walking off.
His minions walk off too though they keep on muttering cusses along the way.
"Yeah, go away, coward!" you hear yourself call out to him, "Fuck off!"
And this worsens your original purpose of the interaction– Bakugou doesn't talk to you for another week.
Midoriya has been noticing things being awry with you since some time now. It took him barely a moment to figure out this concerns Bakugou too.
He could tell you've noticed his observations and so have begun to avoid any sort of confrontation from his side about the chronic sour mood you've had.
At first, Midoriya was only just concerned. He'd assumed you'd eventually figure it out like you figure out most stuff but this didn't happen.
When this didn't seem to happen, he tried asking you but you wouldn't tell. Slowly and gradually, you began avoiding him to avoid the confrontations.
This made no sense to him, you'd never do anything of the sort in even the worst of situations.
Midoriya knows only one other way to understand what has happened and that is Bakugou Katsuki.
Bakugou Katsuki thinks not.
"You damned Deku–" the boy is slammed against a wall in an alleyway, "You think you're fucking something? You think you're gonna be a hero, eh?"
"K-Kacchan– I.. " Midoriya can't stop trembling under the sparks going off over his head, "I-I.. I just want to know– (Name)– " but the boy seems to only get madder at your mention.
This confirms Midoriya's observations.
"You think you're fucking better than me?" there is more than the usual twinge of emotions in Bakugou's words as he says this every time. Midoriya wonders through his panic about what all could have gone wrong.
"H-He is.. " a small broke voice makes the both of them snap their necks to the side only to instantly freeze in shock.
"(Name).. ?" it's Bakugou who manages to call you out and not Midoriya whose shock is prolonged, "What.. Wh-What the fuck did you do.. ?" he begins towards you.
You barely manage to stand straight and look at them with the bleeding leg and swollen eye. There is a haywire of messages of pain in your brain from all throughout your body and you can barely process anything.
"What.. " Midoriya's foot takes a first step, stopping once again at the sight of the shirt you're wearing almost torn off, " .. Hey.. "
Bakugou clearly doesn't know what to do– he's reached you already but is just examining every one of your wounds, his eyes and hands twitching in urge to do something.
"Asshole.. " the word just rolls out of your tongue as Midoriya approaches and you let yourself fall against him, "Why.. Why'd you let them do this?"
Bakugou doesn't understand. Midoriya doesn't either.
"I.. th-thought you told them not to hurt me.. " you cough out some blood but this isn't because of the violence you've gotten yourself into.
The boys both stand in shock for a moment now having realised what happened to you. Bakugou's eyes thunder with an odd mix of guilt and something you can't identify.
Midoriya's expressions change too– it seems your words are enough to give both the boys an idea of what happened.
Bakugou in particular looks shaken, you assume because he was aware of how much his group of lackeys hated you.
"I.. I'm sorry.. "
You're surprised hearing the words, you'd never thought he had it in him to let them out.
The look on his face alone proves all they said was bullshit– Bakugou Katsuki did not allow them to hurt you, they did it on will and only used his name.
All the things they said about him are probably untrue too.
A massive boulder lifts from your chest, the knowledge of Bakugou not actually thinking of you as the terms they said he did is a massive relief.
Flickering red orbs contrast against flickering green. Your hazy gaze knows not to focus on either.
"I.. should've.. " Bakugou looks peaky.
If you didn't know better than to hope from him, you'd assume he's guilty for not being able to protect you against the others.
"W-We," he swallows drly, "will be going to the doctor right away." he swiftly picks you in his arms, and struggle to hold you as you protest, "You're fucking bleeding all over– just calm down, (Name)– "
"Please.. " Midoriya has tears in his eyes, "Just do as he says.. we're going to a doctor right away!"
For this once, you decide to listen to him.
.
"You have visitors." the nurse comes in, an odd pity in her eyes.
You nod shortly not at all interested to know who would come to meet you. All you care about is meeting Midoriya and Bakugou once more before time runs out.
Maybe some words before you leave the world forever might stick by Bakugou and he stops bullying Midoriya?
You'd always been pretty tough against everything in life not at all bothered about what consequences will follow because of one sole fact.
Ever since you were little, you've been diagnosed with some terminal illness which your parents never cared to get treated because you were no use to them.
A bunch of boys beating you up didn't matter– what had hurt you back then was when they had said Bakugou allowed them to.
It was only later when you actually ran into Midoriya and Bakugou that the realisation surfaced that he, in fact, would never hurt a girl let alone hurt you of all people.
Bakugou Katsuki for some reason doesn't dislike you, not even the way he dislikes Midoriya.
This is odd considering you're the one annoying him more mostly.
You're not complaining, however. It's good living in this delusion of partially believing he probably is kinder to you than most people, that's the most care you're getting out of him.
Ah.. him of all people.
People often realise things they've been in denial with for ages once on the deathbed. You have too, only, this "realisation" for you is acceptance that maybe admiration for Bakugou Katsuki wasn't just admiration.
Maybe, the reason why it hurt you as much when he bullied was because you internally constantly are pleased by the few kinder moments from him.
"May we come in?" a man you don't know but find oddly familiar opens the door. Bakugou entering right after confirms your doubts.
"Hello (L/n) (Name). I'm Bakugou Masaru, Katsuki's father. We couldn't find any method to contact your parents." he lets Bakugou sit on the chair by your side, "Can we get any of their numbers or something else?"
A moment of silence precedes your words, "I don't live with them anymore.. they left me when my quirk didn't develop."
You've never before told anyone this part but it doesn't matter anymore if you're not going to live anymore. You wonder if the doctor has yet told Bakugou Masaru about your illness– there shouldn't be a reason for him to questioning anything from you then, no?
He nods at you, then tells Bakugou to take care before he walks out to talk to the doctors.
You turn to the boy once he's out of sight, " ..Bakugou.. "
He doesn't look up at you but lets out a small hum acknowledging your call.
" ..I'm sorry.. " you hear yourself say, mood shifting within the fraction of a second and eyes brimming with tears now, " ..for everything."
"Don't act like those stupid extras.. " the words are way too calm and low from his words to sound offensive in any way, " ..don't cry."
But you can't stop crying now.
It's the end of your life and a guy you unknowingly developed a bunch of feelings for is the one who would bid you off. The only desire you'd have is to meet your best friend Midoriya but that's not too tough to get managed but now as you sit on the bed covered in bandages and waiting for the end to draw near within a few weeks as predicted, you can't help but want to live.
The world looks so beautiful all of a sudden.
It's such a waste to die this way.
"Oi.. " Bakugou is shifting in his seat. He has lifted his head up finally and you can see his expressions– he looks distressed.
You've never before seen the ruby-red orbs flicker with such a broken gray behind them, it's almost painful to watch.
"I told you to not cry, didn't I?" his voice is butter-like, it complements the sweet fragrance swimming in the air around me, "Quiet down now."
"Bakugou.. " your breath hitches several times when you turn you him, "I.. " but it seems he already knows must of what you'll want to convey.
"You're going to be okay.. " there's an unusual heaviness in his voice, "You're.. Y-You're going to make through this."
Your eyes twitch, "What.. are you talking about?"
"Ah fuck.." his hands clutch his head, he shifts forward and leans closer to you, "Don't die on me, (Name).. I– " Bakugou Katsuki's lips quiver, "I don't know what I'd do."
The words take a moment to settle in his head. You stare at him with eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"What d-d'you mean what would you do?"
The distressed expressions on his face seems to worsen.
"Don't die on me." you've never before heard someone sound as broken, "Please.. "
Years and years of knowing him, years of observing everything he'd do, years of developing feelings for him an yet this one moment tells you more about him than any time of your life has.
"You know.. " he does know about the illness. He doesn't need to confirm it for you to know.
You swallow, "It will bother you if I'm gone?" you doubt this is a question to him. It sounds more affirmative to your own self.
For a moment, he only just stares into your soul through bleeding red irises.
"You know it will."
But you want to know, "Why?"
"You know why."
"No I don't, Bakugou– " he cuts you off before you can complete your words.
"Call me by my first name, for God's sake, (Name). Th-There's no knowing if.. " his eyes tremble, " ..you'll.. make it though the surgery."
Something melts in your heart only to freeze the very next instant.
"Wait– what surgery?" despite all the wounds, you manage to push yourself straight, "What do you– no.. wait a fucking second you son of a– that's.. "
Something between a scoff and a snort escapes his lips. Bakugou leans back in his chair and rubs his eyes harshly.
You can tell by the irregular breaths that he's feeling much more than what he expresses.
"I-I.. " he clears his throat, "I called my old man. He's getting the surgery done, he only came in earlier for legal permission from your guardian but there probably is no guardian."
A "y-yeah" from a dry throat replies to him.
Bakugou snorts a few tears out, "That explains you being mannerless as shit."
"You're mannerless too." your eyes fill up to the brim, "You don't get the right to point me out, Bakugou."
"Katsuki." he breathes out airily, "And.. just.. "
You know what he wants to say, "Okay, Katsuki." a moment of silence passes before the words fall out of your mouth themselves, "I won't die on you.. I promise."
He blinks a couple of times then rolls his eyes back to you, "I don't like people who break promises, (Name). You.. better not join that list."
"You know me, don't you." so many years of fighting each other and yet still bonds formed underneath all that are stronger than one would imagine, "I don't ever give up.. I'll try my best."
For a moment, Bakugou just watches you.
You could be wrong about it but the look he has on his faze is of someone who wishes to print something into their mind– he's trying to save the moment into his memory forever.
Bakugou doesn't want to see you go.
Whatever this indicates to, you wish to hear out loud.
Whatever this indicates to, Bakugou wishes to say out loud too.
Because he knows, he might just never get a chance later.
He opens his mouth but shuts it immediately and funnily, it's not because he is at loss of words. Bakugou Katsuki always knows what to say deep inside, him not letting that out on tongue ever before is a different story.
He doesn't speak because there is more than just words to be spoken from his side.
Getting up from the chair and sitting on your bedside, he leans in, hand grabbing your chin ever so gently and pulling your face closer, "This is to all the times you wouldn't stop staring at me throughout the whole fucking day.. " and before you can deny his words in embarrassment of being caught, a gentle contact on your lips sends down a cloudburst of sparks through your body.
"This is to being just so.. " he seems to love the awed look you have on your face, " ..fucking hot." his lips meet yours once more and they press more that they did before.
"This is for all the time we've had.. though I'm still pretty mad you'd chosen that shitty Deku over me." and he finally stops with the teasing kisses.
For a brash guy like him, Bakugou Katsuki is a feather-like kisser. Even the rough, passionate movements feel cushioned and elating.
When he parts away, there's a loud ringing in your ears and all blood has settled in your face and ears.
After another moment of silence, Bakugou inhales deep, "I've.. always only.. bothered you because I don't fucking understand what that Deku has over me. I don't get why you'd choose him when you could just.. be with me."
His ears resemble his eyes in colour, you'd never thought you'd see his cheeks as ripe.
"I like you.. so damn much. Don't leave me hanging like this, (Name)."
The smile that slips onto your face wouldn't come under control despite all efforts, your hands cover your face in embarrassment.
Ages of arguing against this boy over everything and now you've lost all sense to him shamelessly.
"I really like you too, Katsuki."
"I really like the way you say my name.. " he adds, voice hurried as someone seems to be standing outside the room's door, "Oi.. say my name once more, and promise me.. "
"I promise you, Katsuki.. " adoration fills in your eyes, "I'll try my best to get through this.. plus I'll have to pay your dad back later too so I better live."
He snorts tearfully, "Cheeky little bitch, you've always been."
And before the doctors can step inside, "Be kind to Izuku, okay. I never chose him over you, I chose him over a bully. Don't be that bully, Katsuki. Tell him he's the best friend I can ever have."
"And then what the fuck am I?"
A smile adorns your face, "What are you, Katsuki?"
The doctors step inside, Bakugou Masaru follows them closely. You're told the operation begins within an hour and then you have to be taken away from preparations.
"How about we talk about that once you're back." Bakugou gathers all courage within him to let the words out without a hitch.
"Let's do that." you smile.

*shakes you*
I LOVE YOUR DADMIGHT STORIES SO MUCH AND THEN I COME ON HERE AND SEE YOU HAVE HEADCANONS?!?!
Yes. Amazing.
I read something about angst headcanons?! Would you like to share with the class?????
I would absolutely love to share with the class.
Something on my brain since forever is Toshinori learning Izuku was the most seriously injured from the summer camp attack
There's no time to rest or even breathe. Toshnori has to keep pushing ahead because it's not over. Bakugou has been taken and Toshinori won't stop until the child is safe and out of the villains' grasp. There's no time to make a personal visit for only his successor as he recovers.
But he ends up at the hospital anyway. Tsukauchi informs him that Yaoyorozu has something she wants to share that she believes will help with the rescue.
They speak with the young girl in awe of her quick thinking and resilience as she hands over the tracker. It truly feels like everything for their counterattack is coming together.
But then they get into the hall. Tsukauchi with tracker in hand, ready to call their special unit and head out, when Toshinori freezes. Drawn to the opposite way down the hall
"This'll take a minute," Tsukauchi says catching him off guard. "You have time, Toshi......go see him."
Toshinori wants to argue but it stops dead in his throat. Because he knows Recovery Girl had gotten here earlier. He'd heard the full report. How many students were in critical condition from the villains' gas, how many injured, and how close to death his kid had come.
"Thank you."
He stands in front of the hospital room door, starting at the handle, still feeling ice cold from when he first saw the nameplate that read: Midoriya Izuku.
He has to breathe, remind himself he's on borrowed time, that he has no choice but to open the door and step inside.
When he does he finds he's not alone. Recovery Girl stands, leaning over the bed. She sighs as he slides the door shut. She doesn't even turn to look at him. Somehow, she must know. He deflates, leaving his muscle form for later when he needs it.
"I didn't expect you to be here. Thought you'd be leading the rescue mission."
"I am...I just..." The words die in his throat as he closes in, rounding so he can see around the old hero's shoulder. His eyes draw up, taking in the thick plaster around each arm. Up, until he's sucking in a sharp breath, as he sees the boy's face. Jaw tight, flush to his cheeks, sweat along his forehead, he looks like he's done nothing in the last 24 hours but fight for his life.
"Is he—?"
"He's stable. I just finished his second round of treatment." Another sigh, and she hops down from the stool she'd been perched on. "But he needs time before I can treat him again...this fever's been doing a number on him."
He doesn't even realize he's filling the space she's made for him until he's right there, knees against the hospital bed.
"I can't stay," he says for some reason. Recovery Girl hums. "We're making our move on the League tonight." And yet he doesn't move. Doesn't thank Recovery Girl for all she's done. He just stands there, frozen.
He can only stand and witness every flinch and twitch of agony that pairs with every small puff into an oxygen mask. He can only reach out so slowly until his knuckles brush against Izuku's burning cheek.
"He's in good hands," Recovery Girl says, voice extremely gentle. Toshinori nods, turning his hand to cup the boy's cheek. "I don't doubt it." For a second Izuku's eyelashes flutter (and Toshi's heart stops) but besides a deep inhale and his head rolling into Toshinori's hand, there's nothing else, no shine of recognition or sign of consciousness. Just fever, delirium, and pain. So, so much pain.
Toshinori lets himself—or tries to—breathe. He takes the boy in. The fact that at the very least Izuku is here, safe, and breathing along with him. Because for now, that has to be enough.
Because All Might's work is not done.
He straightens, from where he'd been practically bowed over the bed. With once last lapse in strength he presses his palm to the boy's forehead, pushes his bangs out of the way, and gently soothes over the bandages that have been wrapped there, before he's forced to pull away.
It's like losing a limb as he does.
"This wasn't your fault, Toshinori."
Wasn't it?
He'd stayed back from the training camp. Left his colleagues and students vulnerable. Left them all to fight so desperately alone.
He's failed as a mentor. All he's done is left Izuku to struggle, so that the boy can only keep using his quirk to the point of breaking—of a physical, no return.
Head down he doesn't stop walking, only barely whispers out, "Thank you for taking care of him..."
But he does pause when he hears her sigh one last time.
"Don't thank me for that...it's what I do." And then. "And what you can do is rescue that child from those villains... and come back safe."
Toshinori blinks, hand raised to the door, ready to pull up his muscle form to rejoin Tsukauchi in the hall. He turns back to find her looking at him, no, through him, before she glances to the quietly breathing boy in the hospital bed, and then back again. She holds Toshinori with a serious glare, one that follows him, along with her words, until the very moment he's watching his boy sail through the sky with his classmates in tow as he faces down his most dangerous foe. The very moment when he realizes as a teacher, as a mentor, as a—she's right, he can't die yet.
"He'll need you...when he wakes up."

g e n s o - 1 1.
Tumblr media
you change into your ua training uniform and sit next to kirishima and the rest of his friends, including bakugou.
"everyone get ready! we're about to walk out soon!" informs iida as he walks into the waiting rooms. you let out a breathy sigh, geez... this is so nerve wracking..!
"midoriya." you hear todoroki say as you turn to see what was happening. "i think its fairly clear that im stronger than you," izuku opens mouth to say something but closes it. "however, youve got all might in a corner helping you out. im not here to pry about whats happening between you two- but know that i will beat you" he glares.
"todoroki.." you walk up placing your hand on his shoulder pulling him back slightly. "why are you instigating right now? we're all worried about going up and im sure you are too. we already have all the other classes to worry about so lets not make any issues inside our class too ey?" you add dropping your hand.
"we arent here to make friends- just remember this isnt a team effort." he states before walking away.
"wait todoroki- i dont know why you think you should tell me this when we all know your potential, but all the other classes are coming for us with all theyve got. we all have to fight to stand out" he pauses before looking up, "and ill be aiming for the top too."
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
you stand by the entrance into the arena by mina, kirishima, and bakugou. "god there must be thousands of people out there... i can already hear it" you sigh.
"this first group are no strangers to the spotlight! you all may know them from withstanding a villain attack... the hero course student of class 1a!" introduces present mic as you all walk out.
mina and you both let out a gasp, "oh my..." she starts, "i didnt know there was gonna be this many people..!" she exclaims. you all stop in the middle of the field as the rest of the courses get introduced and walk out.
you all stand in front of midnight as she gets ready for the introductory speech. you scratch your neck a bit at the sight of her hero costume, "i bet y/n would look 10x better if she wore that.." drooled mineta. you turn to him and send a flame of fire at his way quickly, "ugh.. disgusting" you scowl before you hear another scream from him causing you to turn. you widen your eyes a bit as you see bakugou threatening him with explosions near his face.
you slowly turn back before side eyeing mina only to receive a shrug back. "for the student pledge we have.. katsuki bakugou!" you widen your eyes with your mouth agape, "theres no way..! we're about to be hated on by not only the students- but the pros as well..!"
he walks up to the mic with his hands stuffed into his pockets, "i just wanna say... im gonna win." he states nonchalantly. you slap your forehead as the students and crowd boo him as he walks down. "seriously bakugou? you couldnt think of anything better than that to start off today with?" you ask frustrated before turning away scoffing.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
"without further ado, the first game of the festival is... an obstacle race!" midnight announces into the mic. "all classes will participate in this race.." she continues to describe the race thoroughly for everyone to hear.
just my luck.. of course the first obstacle is a race..!  you sulk internally, i just gotta thug it out.. i dont know what to expect so i just have to be ready for anything.. besides i can do whatever i want according to the rules.. god please bless me..!
you all walk to the front of the gate preparing for the race to start. you look up at the lights watching as they go down one by one. you take a deep breath in and exhale before you hear midnights voice saying to begin. you start to run before realizing that people are getting stuck in the gateway, you grin before pushing yourself up with your air and moving forward over everyone else.
you feel a chill realizing todoroki had iced the floor just as you left it, you let out a breath of relief before quickly landing and running not far behind him. "nice one todoroki.. but you really didnt expect to hold down everyone did you?" you smirk calling out to him.
suddenly you hear explosions coming from behind you, of course... theres students who prepared themselves as well for this... you come to a slow stop as your mouth drops at the sight of the bots. "oh cmon..." you whine, before rushing forward and moving your arm up to create a boulder, hitting the bot in front of you with it which put you in front of todoroki.
you jump in the air again to go over the rest of the bots before looking back to see todoroki not far behind, "geez this guy doesnt know when to stop.." you groan. you quickly drop down to reduce your time using your quirk, but todoroki passes by you. "son of a-" you start before hearing explosions overhead, "and him too??" you curse under your breath.
you rush to the next obstacle right behind the two in front of you. you make a pushing motion with your hand allowing the rock from the pillars to move forward and create a pathway for you to run over before destroying it behind you and doing the rest all the way to the end. you let out a quick curse as you turn to see the other contestants starting to catch up behind you.
finally, you land on the opposite side and climb up the stairs to see a minefield ahead of you. what are we training for? the army? you think rolling your eyes as you see bakugou and todoroki fighting up ahead of you. you quickly use your wind to let yourself leap across the minefield. though it slowed you down, it wasnt causing you to overuse your quirk which would help throughout the rest of the festival.
suddenly you hear a huge explosion from behind and turn to see deku flying through the air with a piece of metal underneath him. "holy fuck.." you whisper before realizing the people were still moving behind you causing you to do the same to keep distance. you hear another explosion as you see deku landing on the end of the minefield. my gosh izuku... you better run... you think as you quickly pass by the two idiots on the floor behind you grinning.
"thanks for fighting you two...!" you exclaim as you push your legs harder to increase the distance between you and them. "damn you genso..!" you hear bakugou yell as explosions start nearing you causing you to propell yourself forward with your wind. you let out a loud gasp as you cross the gate a split second before bakugou and todoroki. you slow to a stop catching your breath as you stare up at the crowd cheering and clapping you all on.
you let out a exhausted smile before rushing over to izuku to congratulate him. "you won..!" you exclaim breathlessly as you smile proudly. he nods before thanking you, "ah.. you did well too..! you beat bakugou and todoroki..!" you laugh a bit grinning, "bet you anything bakugous seething at the thought of it.." you say before turning to see bakugou clenching his fists. "told you!" you chuckle.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───
you all wait in front of midnight as she start explaining the next section of the festival. "the next obstacle will be... the calvary battle!" she exclaims pointing to the screen.
"you all will form groups for this obstacle, but theres one more thing to add- all of you have been assigned a point value depending on your place in the obstacle race! the points go up in increments of 5, for example the last place contestant is worth 5 points. on the other hand, the first place winner is awarded with 10 million!" you see everyone stare izuku down. yikes.. hes gonna get targeted..
"now pair up!" she instructs before starting a timer. you look around only to find kirishima rushing towards you and dragging you with him. "your gonna be partnered up with me, bakugou, sero, and mina!" he grins as if nothing was wrong.
"bakugou??" you ask dumbfounded, "theres no way im partnering up with that asshole!" you add trying to move the other way only to continue being dragged away. "sorry y/n... but he wanted you on the team- besides your quirk can definitely help us!" he smiles cheerfully.
he wants me on his team..? wait what- you come to a stop in front of the rest of the members. "listen up extras.. ill be the rider, shitty hair youll be in the front, soy sauce youll be in the back, genso and pinky on the sides. understood?" you stand there blankly before nodding quickly, "sure i guess..?"
you all set up quickly and stand off to the side waiting for the timer to run out, "we're currently in second place without our points.." you inform, "right.." bakugou agrees, "everyone will be targeting deku.. we should go for everyone else since theres no point in wasting time with a team already being attacked by many others.." he strategizes.
you nod as you listen closely along with the rest of the members. you hear midnight telling everyone to line up around the ring to get ready for the battle. you let out a sigh hearing the clock count down before thinking,
please dont fuck us up bakugou..

Molemates >> Soulmates
Tumblr media
( a pic for daydreaming reference eee!) Summary: The class goes on a beach trip and discovers that you and Bakugou have a matching pair of complementary moles in a hidden location.
————————-
The beaten path you were walking along went straight through the dense edges of the forest. A simple dirt path that splayed off the main road - where all your cars were parked- and split via a gravel path, which shortly turned into dirt. The dusty loose sand and mulch and mud kicking up onto everyone’s sandal clad feet. A chorus of resounding angry grumbles as the path which was branded as a “short” walk turned more into a “short” hike.
You were supposed to be walking to a secluded special beach spot to spend the day at. You shouldered on, walking single-file between Iida and Todoroki. The former lean blue haired boy shouting out any hazards along the way. The later duo-haired boy behind you giving out a small huff of a chuckle whenever the you lost your footing. It was narrow and steep in all the right places the loose soil disappearing underneath foot with the promise of breaking into full sand somewhere - somewhere behind you was Aoyama and Hagakure which seemed to trip or slip on the uneven terrain every 5 minutes - causing yourself and the rest of the group up front to sent concerned glances over your shoulders.
You groaned leaning down to slap another mosquito from your calf only to bump your head on something. You stumbled back seeing that you’d bumped into Iida’s back. “Sorry, Iida,” you chirped, backpedaling a few more steps to regain space.
The boy turned anround and looked down at you, taking his glasses in one hand, “No, I’m sorry Y/N-Chan!” His eyes moved elsewhere behind you, “Todoroki-kun there may still be more of a spider web up here.” He sputtered, wiping his face and his glasses on the edge of his t-shirt. You lips quickly quirked into a smile, “Thank you for that unintentional sacrifice then,” you added.
Iida nodded solemnly, “It’s my pleasure to eliminate unwanted obstacles for my friends.” - ah the man took everything just a little too seriously.
“That’s very kind of you, Iida.”
You glanced behind you, Todoroki crouching underneath another series of low hanging branches right behind you, his tall form awkwardly bent as he held back branches in his left hand - and so did he.
 “Oi! What’s the hold up?”
“Yeah why’d everyone stop? Is something wrong?”
The three of you groaned. The shuffling of the sandy soil kicking up ceasing. Whoever decided to put Bakugou and Midoriya together on cooler duty smack dab in the middle of the line was an idiot. They both worked in perfect tandem now and were respectively too impatient and too eager to get to the beach.
Todoroki locked eyes with you and without moving an inch reflexively shouted back, “Don’t worry, Deku. We’re moving now. Iida walked into a spider web.”
A collective sigh broke the surface from your portion of the line and then you were once again on your treck - and it was probably another 2 miles of shuffling through what was progressively more and more sand until you’d started to hear the familiar and promising sound of the waves. And after that your measly little group popped out off the spidery, sweaty, and dusty forest trail to reveal a beach that was worth the journey.
It was an untouched several miles of beach - a pink beach. Punctuated by the pummeling froth of the ocean waves underneath the yolk colored sun.
You stood feeling the misty breeze tickle against your clammy skin sighing in content that your aching feet could now simply dig into the gorgeous warm sand. The rest of you classmates seemed to stand in the same state of awe, except for one brunette who couldn’t hide her excitement.
Uraraka bolted past you with a delighted shout, clipping by close enough to feel the breeze as she sprinted towards the cool waters already having accidentally flung off her shorts and shirt - to leave her in her bikini- onto Todoroki who stood next to you unabashedly as he calmly pulled them off himself.
She took off - snagging Izuku in the process as he started rambling and running frantically.
“Deku! Shush!” She laughed, running and barreling into the ocean with the very confused and very sweaty and tired Izuku.
They ran until the clear water lapping against the beach swallowed her up to her thighs and then she fell back - throwing their connected hands in the air and bringing Izuku crashing down with her - eliciting a “please be careful!” from Iida. The rest of you stood still in shock.
Beside you Todoroki had returned and dropped her clothes onto her beach bag muttering, “I’ll just put these here for now.”
Suddenly she and Izuku popped back up out of the water. “Hurry up! The water feels great!” She hollered, waving a hand. Midoriya flinging his head and shoulders like a dog, droplets of water surely hitting Uraraka in the face as her nose wrinkled on one side before he sheepishly gave a thumbs up in agreement.
Then everyone else, along with yourself, seemed to be shocked out of your tired stupor and suddenly the entire plan of setting up the beach was thrown into the wind. Mina quickly using your shoulder for balance as she kicked off her sandals and shimmied out of a pair of booty shorts that’d she’d thrown on over her bikini bottoms for the “walk.” You stood itching to get your own clothes off. Another few splashes signaling that others had already made it in. Kaminari ran over hopping around trying to slide his ripped jeans off.
“Oh come on,” Mina scoffed as he held onto her shoulder struggling to wiggled them off in the sand. “It’s alright,” you said shaking your head. Already busy shimming out of your pair of denim shorts. “I’m good!”
Kaminari scoffed, “Well not all of us can be as graceful as Y/N.” “Oh sure, cause her little cha-cha is so hard to do Kam?” Mina laughed.
You’d finished slipping your shorts off, stepping out of the little pant legs and flipping your hair back as you stood up, going to strip the old t-shirt from your head. “It’s definetly not that big a deal, Kam. Don’t worry ‘bout Mina she’s just teasing. She used my shoulder too. Ah-“ you popped your head out, toned arms and stomach now free from that wet sticky layer, “so who’s ready to go-“
“- Yo’ Y/N you’ve got a cute mole on your ass!” Kam shouted. Mina slapped him in the chest, “Of course she does! Now stop staring at my girls butt!”
Kaminari stumbled back with his hands up, “Not what I mean! Hey- yo Sero! Doesn’t Bakubro have a mole on his ass?”
You turned to see Sero poke his head up from where he was busy applying suntan lotion with Kirishima.
“Huh what?”
Kaminari sighed. “Doesn’t Bakugou have that mole?! The one on his ass? It’s like - it’s like right here.” He said, pointing to his own butt for reference.
“I swear it’s just like the one N/N has,” Kaminari took your hand and gave you a playful little spin to the boys. The mole they were seeing being one that’d you’d had forever. A few playful wolf whistles came out from the lot. It was a large dark mole and a little baby one that stood on the side of your right butt cheek a few inches outside your panty line.
You giggled with a scoff as Mina pretended to faint at the ‘adorableness’ of it all. Kaminari now spinning you in circles for the fun of it all.
“Oi. Sparky you’re gonna make her sick doing that.” Speak of the devil?
Kaminari quickly grabbed your shoulders and patted your head, giving you a wink before he left. “Hey Bakubro. Bakugou. Don’t you have a mole that matches the one on our babe of a friend here? See, I just can’t quite remember . . .”
Mina clutched onto your shoulders stifling her giggles into your neck as Kaminari tried to approach Bakugou causally. Bakugou turned his ruby red gaze onto your form his gruffly voice giving out a guttural, “Huh?” He stood on the sand in black swim trucks, his bulky arms crossed over the pink star-shaped scar that sat square in the middle of his chest.
Kirishima slung an arm around his shoulders, “Yeah man, you do! Here, show them!”
And with that the three boys started reaching to shove up the bottom of Bakugou’s swim trucks aiming to expose his hidden mole to the world. Sparks were flying before Kirishima managed to heave him up like a giant teddy bear. Sero having managed to tape his wrist together and Kaminari coming in and pulling the curtains back. And sure enough on his left cheek Bakugou sported a mole on the bottom curvature of his ass. One that matched yours minus the extra little baby speckle that you had under it. Mina grinned having disconnected herself from you to point and shout at your friends butt, “It’s totally the same! Quick N/N stand next to Bakugou! So we can compare, quick, quick!” Said blonde sat limp and dejected in Kirishimas hold, utterly confused because he missed the first part of the conversation that started all this. “The fuck are y’all talking about? If these extras have got their hands all over my swim trucks I wanna see whose ass is matching mine!” He demanded. Kirishima cooing and swinging the large man in his arms. “Okay, okay - if you insist,” you grinned, although Mina had already sprinted back and was now dragging your forward. “Here look! It’s Y/N!” Mina chirped as you watched her gesture to your butt like a fancy advertising product over your shoulder. Bakugou’s face seemed astoundingly calm as he hung in Kirishima’s arm. His ruby red eyes blinking from under those thick blonde lashes which tickled the tops of his high cheekbones. A slight pinkish tint to them as he grunted, “Alright, alright. I’ll stand next to her so you idiots can compare.” Kirishima hesistantly plopping him down into the stand as he stalked his way over to you, snapping off Sero’s tape holding his hands together. Bakugou rolled his broad shoulders as he stood next to you, quirking a lopsided smile behind everyone’s back before quirking a brow at you and holding up his swim trunks. The knuckles on his hand brushing against your hip as he hiked it up. A chrous of applause and cheers sounded from your friends as they had solved a mystery that never needed solving. You spared a glance over your shoulder at Bakugou’s mole sitting on the same matching yours. You cocked your head with a grin, “I guess this makes us molemates.” Bakugou cocked his own head, “You know that’s fucking stupid. I’m not calling you that.” You crossed your arms under your chest noticing his eyes flicker there for a moment before meeting your own, “Fine by me - molemate.” You watched as a vein in his forehead actually twitched. His jaw going slack before that terrifying smirk replaced it. “Oi, no. Absolutely not ya’ fucker. We’re not doing this.” And suddenly Katsuki had snatched you around the waist and off the ground. Charging with you like a manic kid with his favorite toy onto the playground as he barreled towards the water. “HEY-“ you shrieked, the wind streaking past your hair, “this is not how you treat your molemate!” You chided trying the 1,2 pat to his forearm to tap out of the mad dash sprint he was making towards the lapping ocean. The rest of the Baku-squad’s cheering and shouting and laughing fading into the distance as the wind whistles against the shell of your ear. The water making gurgling and garbling noises as Katsuki rushed in taking you with him as the water pooled around his strong thighs, which were still running at full speed until the water was up to your neck and shoulders. Katsuki then pushing you away from his sweltering oven-temperature body and into the pure frigid coolness of the ocean. And then plunging you in like a bath toy in the tub. You sputtered flinging the wet strands of hair from your face as the bubbles of rushing water tickled your sides before colliding back into his warm body. Katsuki looked at you with sharp ruby eyes brimming with something exciting. Your toes curled as he opened his mouth, “That cheesy shit good enough for you, molemate?”

Quirk Assessment Test
So, school starts. In the process of moving their stuff to their accommodations, only a few people ever saw each other, such as Kirishima and Ashido, Kendou and Monoma, and so on. Izuku doesn't see anyone other than Bakugou, who he ignores.
When school starts, Izuku is immediately crowded with Denki, who he helped in the exam, Ochako, who he saved, Mina, Eijirou, and Tenya, who apologises for thinking Izuku was crazy for turning back to help Ochako, not that he told Izuku this until now, but it's all a-okay!
Aizawa comes in, telling them to be quiet and to get dressed and meet him back at the class, where he'll then take them to field outside. He tells them he'll inform them about things they need to know after the test.
So, they meet up outside, and this is where we get another big change to the arc!
It's split up into to sections. A purely physical exam, and a quirk-introductory part. Instead of threatening expulsion, he declares that the bottom five will be assigned an essay on the importance of strength outside of quirks or something...
So, the first part if the exam same tests as canon, without quirks. Anyone using quirks will have their points docked.
Izuku does pretty well all around, and Mezou is obviously the best.
Placements:
Shouji Mezou
Hagakure Tooru
Kirishima Eijirou
Todoroki Shouto
Yaoyorozu Momo
Midoriya Izuku
Ashido Mina
Iida Tenya
Ojirou Mashirao
Tokoyami Fumikage
Asui Tsuyu
Satou RIkidou
Uraraka Ochako
Sero Hanta
Bakugou Katsuki
Kaminari Denki
Kouda Kouji
Aoyama Yuuga
Jirou Kyouka
Mineta Minoru
Quirk Introductory:
Everyone goes around and explains their quirks. Mina and Eijirou have a more scientific understanding of their quirks with Izuku's influence, (might post that soon), and Momo of course. Izuku reveals that he's quirkless, and Mina and Eijirou are just shocked because they thought he had an intelligence quirk.
Ochako then says, 'I'm just shocked that first place doesn't have a quirk.' To which Bakugou is not happy about and responds by trying to attack Izuku.
As in canon, Aizawa stops this, but instead of just complaining about dry-eye, he warns Bakugou that he's already on thin ice and to not step out of line.
Izuku is kinda confused but happy, because this is the first time an adult told Bakugou off.
The day does not end there, though.
Day One:
After the QAT, Aizawa explains the stuff they missed from the entrance ceremony, then the next period starts.
Not much to say, though it will be mentioned that Midnight isn't provactive and is oddly modest when teaching, and Mic is very enthusiastic about teaching, which raises engagement and stuff.
Denki, Mina, Ejirou, Tenya, and Ochako sit with Izuku at lunch and plan to hit the centre after school, then invite the rest of the class. Izuku makes some pre-quirk references that nobody recognises, because I think it's funny.
I forgot to mention this in my 'About U.A.' post, but hero course students are treated as having a scholarship. They also offer free school lunches (that are actually good) to those whose parents earn under a certain amount, which Ochako qualifies for. She didn't know this until Mina brings it up due to her lunch consisting of a single banana. This also includes pre-paid trips, so she does not have to pay for them
After school, everyone but Bakugou and Shouto hang out in the centre, helping the bottom five write their essays. Everyone exchanges numbers.
Conclusion:
QAT actually makes sense and Aizawa is a moderately better teacher
Bakugou scores low on the QAT and is devasted, and he gets a verbal warning
Everyone is friends, apart from Shouto and Bakugou, the latter of whom nobody enjoys
Ochako gets free school lunches and gets to go on trips for free
More 1-A friendship building!

midoriya/uraraka and 50, going thru a divorce
haha,,, let's not talk about how long this has been in my inbox, ok,,,,,
full disclosure, i started this back before the finale and i am not at all caught up with the manga (or the anime) so if anything doesn't jive with canon, just pretend it does. let us gather and participate in willful ignorance
__
When Ochako sees him, she hesitates.
He has his back to her through the glass window of the coffee shop. His frame is so much bigger than she remembers, but that curly mop of green hair is unmistakable. She takes a deep breath, gripping the strap of her bag so tightly her knuckles turn white, and takes a step towards the door.
Except then she sees an attractive blonde woman walk past him, do a double take, then double back. Ochako stops. The woman's eyes are sparkling and her face red as she approaches him and starts up a conversation. He turns just enough that Ochako can see he's smiling.
Well. God. She doesn't want to interrupt that. She's been pretty out of the loop for the last few years, but she knows Midoriya is single. Maybe Ochaco should give them some space. She could just turn around and go back home now, before he's seen her. She doesn't want to interrupt.
No, that's not true. She wants to leave for entirely selfish reasons. She's not young and unencumbered anymore, and despite how close she and Midoriya had been in school, she doesn't want him to see her like this. But this is her entire life. It's who she is now. She can't escape that, but she can escape his judgment of it, his pity. That's the one thing she'd never wanted—that's the reason she'd taken the position Mirko had offered her after graduation. She was a good hero and she knew it, but she'd never be able to measure up to monsters like Midoriya and Bakugou and Todoroki. being around them meant she compared herself to them at every turn, and she hadn't liked the person it had been turning her into. so she'd run away from it all, but she doesn't regret it.
Well, didn't regret it until just now, anyway. Seeing Midoriya through the glass—impossibly muscular, impossibly popular, impossibly perfect—makes her stomach curdle with ugly jealousy. He's been in the top three for the last five years, whereas Ochako has been idling away in the mid twenties and thirties for almost her entire career. She'd finally broken into the teens this year and had been unbearably proud of herself, until the reality check that was the rest of her class got their rankings announced.
Then Midoriya, back still turned to her, waves his hands frantically back and forth. The tips of his ears and the back of his neck turn a bright red, and something in her relaxes at the sight. He's still the affable, awkward boy he had been in school. It won't be that different. Maybe it'll even be nice to catch up.
She enters the coffee shop, forcing a smile, and approaches Midoriya's table.
"Hey, Deku-kun," she says, hoping she doesn't sound too stiff.
Midoriya beams at her, standing up from the table. "Ochako-chan! I hope this place wasn't too hard to find."
She flinches, even though Midoriya's too nice to mean it as a dig against how late she was. "Nope not at all," she assures him, and then wants to explode on the spot with how perfect that excuse would have been, and how she'd totally just wasted it.
She would have been right on time, but she kept chickening out and doubling back towards her new apartment; and then telling herself to stop being a coward and continuing forward. She'd done that maybe four times, and it had cost her upwards of twenty minutes.
"Well, it's good to see you!" he says cheerfully. He approaches her then, and at the last minute she realizes he means to give her a hug. Stiffly, she opens her arms to receive him and braces herself.
Whatever she was expecting, it wasn't for Midoriya to smell good and feel warm and solid and comforting. Solid, sure, the man's practically made of muscle. But she'd expected the hug to feel awkward and forced, not—good. Her face grows warm for no reason. She's being ridiculous.
From around Midoriya's oversized shoulder, she accidentally locks eyes with the blonde woman from before. The woman glares, then turns around and marches back to her own table. Ochako watches her go, smug.
Midoriya pulls away, still smiling, and Ochako can only hope that her face isn't red enough to be noticeable. She clears her throat. "Shall we sit down?"
Midoriya tilts his head. "Do you not want anything to drink?"
Crap, that's right. They're in a coffee shop. She still has to order.
Her face does go red then, and she stammers out, "R-right, of course! I'll go do that!" and turns away quickly.
She orders whatever the seasonal special is and while she waits for the barista to prepare it, she stands facing a corner and slaps her face between both hands. "Stop being such a weirdo," she mutters to herself. They're friends. This doesn't have to be awkward or uncomfortable.
And Midoriya doesn't have to be built like a fucking truck but—
No, bad, no horny thoughts about an old friend in a coffee shop. Be cool. Be normal. Just because she hasn't had sex in almost a year doesn't mean she has to be like—this. She has self control.
Her name is called and she gets her drink and heads back to Midoriya's table where she is going to be so totally normal and she's not going to bring up rankings and she's definitely not going to bring up sex. They're just two old friends catching up.
When she gets back to the table Midoriya waves again, because he's a dork. And somehow, that makes her feel a little better. She takes a deep breath and sits down and takes a casual sip of her drink to stall for time.
"So, you're back in Tokyo now?" Midoriya asks, leaning forward. Even sitting, he's so tall.
She swallows the sweet liquid—too sweet, it hurts her throat—and straightens. "Yep! Just moved back this weekend, and I'm starting at Ryukyu's agency next Monday."
"Wow, that was only a few days ago. Do you need any help unpacking?"
And let him see her tiny, messy apartment, when he probably lives in a penthouse and has a housekeeper? No, thank you. "Nope, I'm fine!"
"Oh," he says, and he sounds a little disappointed. "Well if you change your mind..."
"Sure, I'll let you know," she says, knowing she'll never do that.
He looks down at his drink, then picks it up and puts it to his mouth. Ochacko leans down to her straw and takes another sip.  She doesn't like it any better the second time, but it's better than suffering the awkward silence. They both stop drinking and look at each other. The pressure to say something mounts higher and higher, until she finally opens her mouth.
"So, how's—" she starts at the same time Midoriya says, "Um—"
"Oh, go ahead," she says, and Midoriya speaks over her, saying, "Sorry, you first."
She huffs. "You were saying?" she says forcefully, smiling maybe a little too aggressively.
Midoriya smiles back sheepishly and rubs the back of his head. "I just wanted to—Sorry if this too—Um. How... have you been?"
That's clearly not the question he wanted to ask. She knows what question he did want to ask and being a coward never helped anybody, so she decides to just get it over with.
"The divorce, right?" she says stiffly. He winces and opens his mouth, surely to make another apology, so Ochako beats him to it. "Sorry, no, it's fine. It's just, it comes up a lot and people have a lot of questions and I've gotten a bit sensitive about it. But I'm fine! It's been—" Weird, living alone for the first time since high school. Messy, to the point where she couldn't take it any more and moved halfway across the country. Lonely, with Shindou and their mutual friends not talking to her. "—fine."
Midoriya looks troubled. "If you need anyone to talk to, I just wanted to say—I mean. I know it must be... hard."
Ochako sighs. Hard doesn't even begin to cover it. "It's not like we hate each other, we're still friends. I just—needed some distance."
"Tokyo is certainly some distance," Midoriya says carefully. He's gotten more tactful than he was in high school. It's somehow surprising.
"It's closer to my family. It's not like I moved to America," Ochako says, and only after saying it realizes her tone is defensive.
After Shindou had gotten promoted and she hadn't, it only made sense for her to be the one to move. Is she resentful? Absolutely. But she also couldn't stand another minute in that town, with everyone's pitying looks and their gossip about her failed marriage. And Shindou's new girlfriend.
And then, like a brick to the back of her head, she has a second horrible realization. The reason America had been in the back of her mind at all was because Midoriya had moved there for a while. That's why it was the first thing on her tongue. She's so stupid, she's being aggressive and petty for no reason and Midoriya is going to regret meeting up with her and tell all their old friends what a bitch she is now, and she'll deserve it.
But Midoriya just smiles. "I'm glad. This way, I get to see you."
Well. Shit. How had she forgotten how brutally nice Midoryia was? It really isn't fair. The tips of her ears are hot, and she knows she must be blushing bright red. To distract from it, she picks up her drink again and hurries to take a sip, and almost spits it back into the cup. Eugh, she forgot how sweet it was. And it's worse somehow, now that it's cooled off.
She wants to change the subject before it gets any more mushy and she literally combusts, but Midoriya does it himself.
"Oh!" he says, like he's just remembered something. "Yaoyorozu asked me to—I mean, a bunch of us from 1A are getting together this Saturday, just a casual, you know, dinner, drinks at this izakaya we always go to and it'd be great if you came, everyone would love to see you. I mean—if you'd want to come?" He puts both hands on his mug, lifts it briefly, then puts it back down. Ochako isn't sure if she's just projecting, but she thinks he looks nervous. "I know you're probably busy with the move and everything so I didn't want to pressure you, or anything but—" He stops himself. "Sorry, I'm rambling. But Kacchan will be there."
Ochako, who had been smiling without fully realizing it, feels her happy expression twist into a shape it hasn't made since a fateful Hero Billboard Chart event several years ago. When Bakugou had stolen the microphone from the emcee and made the rudest speech she'd heard from him since the one time UA made the mistake of putting him on a stage willingly, during their first Sports Festival.
She recognizes a second after she's made it that it's an oh god THAT asshole again expression and tries to reign it in, but from Midoriya's laugh, she doesn't manage.
"He's calmed down a lot!" Midoriya assures her, but that sounds fake. "When we heard you were coming back, he was the most excited about it."
"He was?" Ochako asks, surprised. "Why?"
Midoriya makes a face Ochako thinks she would name a fond grimace. It's an offshoot of her own Bakugou face, but weathered and somehow smooth, refined by the nature of being childhood friends. Or maybe just by the virtue of Midoriya's character, always so much more patient and forgiving than the rest of them. "He wants a rematch."
Ochako blinks. "He wants to fight me?" It's been literal years since their match. She'd personally all but forgotten about it.
Midoriya nods, clearly pained, and Ochako startles herself by laughing.
She's still giggling when she says, "Of course he does, that crazy asshole." She leans back in her chair, feeling cocky and a bit pleased, and grins over at Midoriya. "I might as well, right? I'll wipe the floor with him." Her sureness almost startles herself. She'd up her mind without really thinking it through, and it had been easy—easier than anything has been in a long while.
Midoriya grins back at her, looking almost as excited as she feels. "I'm looking forward to it. Both of you have grown a lot, you know? Oh, but I have to warn you—not that I think you'll underestimate Kacchan, but he has some new tricks up his sleeve you wouldn't expect. He's gotten a lot sneakier! You really have to watch out for—" and he prattles on, gesturing enthusiastically with his hands to make his points, and Ochako smiles and lets him. It's nice. It's comfortable. It's more familiar than she had dared to hope.
For the first time since getting off the shinkansen on Saturday morning and dragging herself to her crappy new apartment, and thinking this is my life, now, whether I want it or not—she finds herself thinking maybe things will work out.
Maybe coming back here had been the right choice after all.

Aizawa's found family except there's way too many people
So stage 1 is Aizawa and Mic. They're in a QPR, Aizawa is aroace and Mic fucks around on the side but they're married and live together and had a wedding. They don't kiss tho cuz Aizawa doesn't like kissing AT ALL.
Stage 2 is Eri. She's legally Aizawa's daughter and she starts calling him Dad so Aizawa just goes with it. Alright this is my child now got it.
Mic is like... Her weird uncle. That's how she sees him anyways. She calls him Mic because that's what everyone calls him.
Then Midoriya and Togata are Eri's brothers. Like they just are. And god knows Aizawa has a soft spot for these dangerous sunshines of teenagers (literally where is the Dadzawa content for Togata. Aizawa comforted him when Sir Nighteye died please people SEE)
So Midoriya and Togata are like part time Aizawa's sons. Part time because Togata has a dad and Midoriya has his mom and All Might is already his father figure (not that he can't have two but All Might was here first).
Stage 3. Shinsou Hitoshi. Mic saw this child and felt in his bones that one year from now he would be finding him asleep in the cupboards. He just knew.
Shinsou has a bad home life so he hangs out at Aizawa's house a lot and eventually just gets a room there. Like he just does. The house is big Aizawa said, it's okay, while Mic is laughing his ass off and Shinsou is trying not to cry.
Eri IMMEDIATELY latches on Shinsou. Why? He's a cat. Simple.
By the way, they have seven cats. Yes seven.
They're named Takoyaki, Window, Blanket, Butter, Phoebe (short for Febreze), Yuki and Hizashi. Yes, Hizashi is loud.
They also acquire Sushi when Midnight dies (minus one on the number of family members, she was the wine aunt. Rest in peace legend)
So Shinsou. Thing is, Shinsou is polyamorous and somehow half of the world is in love with him (he doesn't understand). So Monoma, Kaminari, Bakugou and Ojirou are added to the family as son in laws of Aizawa. None of them are dating each other they're just dating Shinsou and cohabiting.
Stage 4 is The Entire Todoroki Family. Somehow. Well no, not all of them actually, Endeavor is out there doing whatever it is he does.
The first to get adopted into the found family is Shouto. Similar to Shinsou, he ends up hanging out at Aizawa and Mic's house, at first for Midoriya, Shinsou and Eri, then for Togata and Shinsou's boyfriends, the cats, and eventually he's just There. All the time.
Evidently, Fuyumi, Natsuo and Rei want to know about their tiniest family member's found family. They accidentally also get added to the family.
Dabi is the hardest to include, you know because of the murder. But rehab and all. Since Aizawa, Shouto and Rei are the ones most capable of stopping Dabi from going apeshit, he gets thrown there too. He gets a room as well. It's basically all of the Todorokis' room when they visit, to his absolute horror.
Aizawa considers Dabi to be his 9th cat. Mic considers Dabi to be his nephew. Shinsou and Eri unconsciously think of him as their brother (well, it's more conscious for Eri given she just straight up calls Dabi her older brother).
Then, stage 5, there's Kurogiri/Oboro. Renamed Kurokumo for simplicity's sake (legally his name is Shirakumo Oboro but y'know). Kurokumo goes back to being mostly Shirakumo, but Kurogiri is still kinda here and Kurokumo wants that to be acknowledged.
He's one of the few who officially live in the Aizawa-Yamada household (reminder, the ones who legally live here are Aizawa and Mic, Shinsou, Eri, Dabi and Kurokumo + the 8 cats. The others visit and sometimes sleep over).
Stage 6, surprisingly, is caused by Mic hooking up with everyone in Japan. Mic and Aizawa call each other their partner or their husband sometimes, but they're again, not involved romantically or sexually. Mic has a shitton of romantic and sexual partners, and the regular ones eventually get a boyfriend/girlfriend status and are somewhat added to the fam.
Mainly, Mic's partners are : Hawks (to Dabi's horror again and also to Aizawa's... Horror also), Ms. Joke (Aizawa hates his husband's taste) and Best Jeanist (because of course). I'll let you decide which are romantic which are sexual which are both.
(Tangent : Mic made a move on Kurokumo once, because they flirted a lot in high school and everyone assumed they would eventually date. Kurokumo shut him down after a bit because it felt too weird, as being Kurogiri kinda took away all his sexual attraction and he feels like Mic is Way Older Than Him even though they're technically the same age. Mic apologized and they had a long long long talk with Aizawa about how Kurokumo felt about them and himself and everything is okay now they're best friends)
The final stage happens after 1-A graduates : mainly, all the students really love their teachers and always check on them even after they stop seeing them basically everyday, leading to them being brought into the family partially.
So to sum it up : Aizawa and Mic, husbands and platonic partners, are the somewhat parents of Shinsou, Eri and Dabi, with added bonus of Dabi's siblings and mom, Shinsou's boyfriends, Eri's brothers, plus Mic's boyfriends + girlfriend, and Kurokumo co-parents. Somewhat. And they have 8 cats. And their old students visit them and bring them food and flowers.
Final count of family members for Aizawa : 17 + 14 + 8 = 40

The monotonous thrum of his heart rate monitor was the single thing Shoto could ground himself with. His eyesight was blurry, his sense of self shaky, and his skin was raw – like all of his nerves were exposed to the world. Shifting his arms was not an option, as with every adjustment he made the bandages would dig into his burned flesh.
Where his body was in shambles, stitched together by dexterous but rushed medical attention, his mind was frayed. It did not help that he’s been in isolation for hours upon hours, bedridden and left alone to his thoughts. And those thoughts were anything but rosy.
Everything that had happened from the moment he stepped into Jaku City to where he was now changed his entire perspective of the world. The heroes had, essentially, lost. His father, the number one hero, was beaten. Bakugou and Midoriya looked to be injured beyond repair. And, his long lost brother who on all accounts had been declared dead was well and alive
 and was Dabi.
This was not how this mission was supposed to go. Shigaraki was supposed to be defeated, the Meta Liberation army captured, and this uprising put to rest. Instead, it seemed that the heroes simply threw yet another stack of delicate kindling atop a raging flame. Really, all Shoto could do was lay atop the stiff hospital bed and think.
He thought of his loved ones. Of his mother, Fuyumi, and Natsuo, and how they too were left with this grenade of information and how they must be dealing with it. He thought of his friends and teachers, and how he had no knowledge of who had lived and who had died. He thought of the civilians whose entire lives revolved around Jaku City. Their local grocery stores, the coffee shop that became a ritualistic stop on the way to work, the parks and playgrounds where children would play make believe.
However, there was one thing he refused to think of – you. To him, you fell into each of those three categories.
Jaku was where your family lives, no, lived. He saw the all but destroyed sign of that flower shop you had mentioned working at part-time. He found street signs with names that he would hear drop from your lips as you tried to describe a story to the best of your ability. This was a place you had relished and thrived in. The mere notion of you having to fight for your life and those around you on the burning remains of your home was entirely too harrowing for Shoto to believe.
You are his classmate. You’re the girl who sits next to him in class and wakes up early to accompany him on morning runs. You have a blue spiral notebook that, while it holds notes, also provides a lined-paper canvas for doodles. Your bookbag sometimes slumps against his, which you always apologize for, but he never minds.
And deep, deep down, Shoto loves you. He wants to have you in his life after the both of you graduate. He wants to know you, really know you, and revel in all your favorites – color, book, animal, everything. He wants to hold your hand and lace his fingers with yours. He simply wants to be able to have the chance to love you.
What he does not want is for you to see him. Not like this, as the broken shell of who he had patched himself up to be. Shoto knew how who he was affected those around him. Maybe it was not directly his fault that his mother got sick or that his siblings existed in a fractured home, and why Toya became who he was. However, it was most definitely within his control how he behaved at the beginning of his time at UA. He was so hateful, so cold. His first iteration of his hero costume was the embodiment of his perspective – sheer ice. If he could go back and act differently, he would. Then he would have become friends with everyone faster and they wouldn’t have those preconceived notions.
But that was just who he was. Granted, Shoto accepted that fact and moved forward, striving to be the person and hero he wanted to be. But that didn’t stop him from driving people away. He was cold until he was warm, but he was warm until he became too hot. To others, he remained within those two extremities of his quirk – too mean and closed off or too much to deal with. You had always seen him in that happy medium of ‘warm,’ and he did not want to change that image of Shoto Todoroki.
Tumblr media
It must have been early afternoon since Shoto could hear birdsong, but the rays of sunshine reaching through the windows became stronger. The burning in his esophagus had been healing properly, as he was assured multiple times by the doctors and nurses who frequented his room. His speech was hoarse, but functional – a fact that he was not going to take for granted. Friends had come by to see him, assuring Class 1A’s safety despite Midoriya’s current condition.
He was grateful for company, but today being a no visitor day, he was also grateful for the quiet. He was moments from picking up a book from his bedside table – Little Women, the novel you had recommended a while back – when a cacophony of raised voices and door slamming arose from the hallway. He couldn’t catch much, just the measured yet strained tones from who he supposed to be doctors, and the fiery resonance from someone else. He tried to return to the pages, yearning to return the lives of the March daughters, before his door was swung open. Standing there, huffing breaths and desperately trying to tuck flyaways back to where they belonged, was you.
There was a large cut across your forehead, covered by a bandage but still bleeding. The hospital gown hung off of you and billowed when you shifted your weight. But most of all, an evident look of concern and relief flickered across your features.
“Shoto?” Your voice was small and laced with disbelief. He thought that his expression was a mimic of yours. He wanted to say your name, wanted to say he loved you and that he was so glad you’re okay. Instead, what leaves his lips is cold.
“Why are you here?” Your face twists in confusion.
“What do you mean ‘why am I here?’” You question, your tone holding an underlying hue of defense. Shoto turns his face towards the window and away from you.
“I think my words were quite clear.” Your mouth turns to a frown as you let the door close softly behind you. Shoto feels his heartbeat quicken the closer you get to his bed.
“I don’t believe you.” At your words, he scoffs, and faces you with a stony look.
“And why is that,” he asks in a monotone.
“Because I know you. And I see through you.” Shoto wills himself to stay apathetic.
“Then why,” he begins, his voice growing thick, “are you still here.” He keeps his eyes trained outside, but he feels a dip on the mattress.
“You know why,” you murmur. He feels your hand atop his, curling around it softly.
Shoto feels as if his whole body was about to cave in on itself. After everything, everything that had come to light, here you were. He was being cold and defensive, yet here you were. He was broken, bruised, and bandaged
 and here you were.
Shoto held his breath as he turned to face you, bracing himself for the reality of what would hit him. There you were, your eyes and smile the kind of devastating beauty that some people can only read of in poetry. Your hands, although scabbed and callused, are soft to his touch. God, did he want to say everything that had been stored up in his brain.
“There you are,” you say, a smile growing on your lips. Your hands moved up to his face, gently cradling his bandaged cheeks in your palms. Almost reading his thoughts exactly, you brush your thumb in soothing circles. “None of this is your fault. Everyone loves you and cares about you. We’re all worrying and wondering how you’re holding up. How our friend is doing.” He sighs as he hears your words.
“I am
strong. And weak. I’m angry, and I’m scared.” Your smile turns into one of understanding. “I am everything and nothing and I don’t know what to do.” Wordlessly, he slides over on the bed – no matter how much his burns and lacerations begged him not to – to make room for you.
“None of us would know how to react to everything that has just been thrown at your face. I
” you begin, but end up shaking your head. “Don’t think of it right now. And yes, you’re happy and sad, angry and scared, everything and nothing. But you can count on us to stick by your side. I will stay with you always. How could I even think of leaving?”
Shoto wants to say that anyone could think that. That, in the end, people would realize that to stay would become too much. But, when he sees that fiery passion in your eyes and feels the way you hold his hand. And he knows you. He loves you.
“Y/N, I–” he starts.
“I know.” You whisper, tucking strands of hair that had fallen in his eyes away. “Me too.” Shoto feels weightless at your confession and the confirmation of his. No more words were exchanged between the two of you before doctors eventually pulled you back to your own room. Instead, you just lingered in the silence and focused on holding the other's hands. Holding on to each other.

Wrong Tiger
“Hey
 Midoriya?
“Yeah?”
“I don’t know if it’s just me, or did your white tiger get bigger? Like massively bigger that it’s unheard of for a tiger to grow this big since this morning.”
Midoriya stared at his classmates before looking up to meet the tiger’s eyes.
“Midoriya, did you somehow lose your white tiger and unknowingly started taking care of another white tiger?”
“I-I don’t
 know?”
“HOW THE HELL DO YOU NOT KNOW?!”
“K-Kaachan, I can’t tell the difference between two white tigers!”
“IDIOT! The tiger you took care of on day one is small and with blue eyes! This is twice as big and with yellow eyes!” Bakugou screeches, wildly gesturing at the large tiger while the lion he was taking care of and Uraraka look closer, a red panda perched on her head.
“Actually, there might be some purple in there.” she remarks, carefully outstretching a hand and yelping when the red panda took that as a platform and jumped on top of the tiger’s head. Before they could react though, the tiger simply jolted on the spot before not at all minding as the red panda played on them.
“At least they are docile!” Asui points out as she holds a bucket with a seal inside.
“Thank goodness for that,” Todoroki comments as he feeds his penguin another fish. “This reminds me of some stray news about a white tiger terrorizing towns and cities a few months ago.”
“Okay, that sounds terrifying.” Kaminari shudders, clutching the basket of baby chicks.
“Guys, this isn’t the time to be scared over old news,” Jirou points out with a snowy owl perched on her shoulder. “Right now, we have a different tiger in hand from the one Midoriya should be taking care of.”
“But how do we find a missing tiger? NOT TO MENTION where this one came from?” Kirishima asks as he leans against the rhino.
Midoriya frowned in thought and looked at the tiger who watched them with an observing eye. “Do you know where you are, where you came from?” he asks.
“Deku, are you seriously trying to copy Koda-?”
The tiger suddenly chuffs and moves its head elsewhere. They all turned their heads towards the entrance into the room.
“You
came from the entrance?” Midoriya tries.
The tiger lets out a quiet moan before shifting up to their paws. Leaning their head down, they transferred the red panda back to Uraraka and headed to the door.
“W-Wait a second, I don’t think you could make it through those doors!” Midoriya panics, making the tiger stop. “We can go through the gate! You want to go outside this enclosure?” he asks.
The tiger blinked before turning back around and gazed at the boy. He just stared back. “You
seem to understand me.” The tiger blinks again before ducking their head, ears lowered slightly. “N-Not that it’s weird!” He looks at the others.
“Guess we’re taking these guys to see the guests.”
---MEANWHILE---
“Atsushi-kun became small.”
Dazai, Chuuya, and Akutagawa turn around to see Kyouka resting a hand against a tiger that was a head taller than her, curled around and rubbing their chin against the top of her head.
“Huh, you’re right.” Chuuya remarks as they walk over. “Last I remember, the tiger kid is a lot bigger than this. Probably two-three times bigger?”
“And usually he wouldn’t want to keep this form on for much longer,” frowned Akutagawa, reaching a hand to pet the tiger’s head who chuffed happily under the attention. “Nor does he seek much affection.”
Dazai sighs in a fond manner, shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head. “My my, Atsushi-kun. I suppose us coming to the zoo would have done something.” He reaches a hand. “Now come on, stop playi—”
Dazai’s eyes snapped open to come into contact with soft fur, and
nothing else. Chuuya, Akutagawa, and Kyouka stare with wide eyes at the Dazai and the tiger, the brunet’s hand firmly planted on the tiger’s head all while the animal chuffed happily at the new contact and rubbed itself against his head.
“He didn’t change back.” Kyouka instantly snapped her head to give Dazai a blank but threatening stare. “Why isn’t Atsushi-kun changing back?”
Dazai just stared and pulled back and used his other hand. Nothing. No bright flash of light of No Longer Human canceling out Beast Beneath the Moonlight, no human under his hand, and the tiger just being happy in their company. And last they remembered, Atsushi woke up on his wrong side in the closet that gave him a bad knick in his neck, causing him further aching that he more or less brushed off, albeit with a grimace and a bad mood.
That was actually the entire reason Dazai decided to drag him invite him on a trip to the zoo, and may as well bring the two mafiosi and Kyouka.
“Wait a second, isn’t there a white tiger enclosure?” Chuuya asks, looking at them. “Do you think the tiger kid is able to sneak off and another tiger just started following us?”
“Or maybe one of the keepers mistook Atsushi-kun if he did turn into a tiger,” Kyouka suggests.
“Does this count as another Jinko-kidnapping?” Akutagawa inquires.
“Boy, your boyfriend is missing!” Chuuya scolds and promptly bonks him on the head.
“This zoo is massive, and it’s closing soon.” Kyouka adds.
“Guess we have to go and see,” sighs Dazai.
“YOU TOO, S--TTY MACKEREL! FOCUS!”
“Ow, ow, Chuuya!”
“Come on, move it! Gosh, are me and Kyouka-chan the only ones worried about this or something?! YOU TWO ARE HIS BOYFRIEND AND MENTOR, DAMNIT!”
“Aww, but we get to see you’re caring side more~”
“DAZAI-”
“You really have to stop provoking him, Dazai-san.”
“It’s mostly empty, guests are leaving because of the early closing.” Jirou said as she looked around.
“But that would be easier, right?” Midoriya asks.
“I guess,” hums Kaminari.
The tiger looked around, letting out quiet roars and sniffing the air.
“Hear anything?” Midoriya asks.
The tiger shook its head and pawed at its face, moaning and shaking its head more.
“Too many smells,” Todoroki suggests. “They must’ve come from somewhere else.”
“Hey, we’ll help you buddy.” Kirishima pets the tiger’s head, smiling reassuringly. “But I need you to be real with me; can you actually understand us?”
The tiger looks at him and looks at the rest who all looked back. Sheepishly, it nodded.
“Did you come with people from outside the zoo?” Midoriya asks.
Another nod.
“How?” Asui asks, confused.
“Are you someone’s pet? I feel like rich people are able to own tigers or lions or just exotic pets.” Uraraka whispers, staring at the tiger. Instantly the tiger recoiled, growling threateningly. “Not a pet, not a pet! Sorry!” she panics. “It has too much human sentience for a tiger. And to be fair, I don’t think anyone would want to be called someone’s pet.”
“That’s cringe,” Kaminari blurts out.
“But it’s odd that you can both understand us and respond as if you are a human.” Midoriya said, looking at the tiger.
“Ah, there you are Atsushi-kun!”
They all turn their heads to see four people also with a white tiger walk over.
“There you are!” Midoriya exclaims in relief, opening his arms and letting the small tiger barrel into him.
“Who?” Uraraka asks, confused.
“Atsushi-kun,” the short girl said, pointing at the large white tiger.
“You
named your tiger Atsushi?” Kaminari asked, confused.
“No no, you misunderstand.” the brunet smiles. “This tiger here is actually my mentee!”
“But it’s a tiger.” Bakugou glares.
“Nope!” He reached over and booped the tiger’s nose.
A bright flash of blue light caused them to look away, but when they looked back, there stood a young man with platinum blonde hair in one-sided choppy bangs, bi-colored purple and yellow eyes that could parallel ametrines, and a face entirely red in embarrassment.
“A-Apologies for all the trouble I’ve caused,” he bowed his head.
The students all stared with their jaws to the ground while the white tiger happily trotted over and nudged against him. They blink in slight surprise before smiling quietly and pets the tiger.
“W-Wait- What?” Kirishima asks, confused. “Is that your Quirk?”
“Quirk? Oh no, not that. Something different.” the man smiles. “But anyways! We shouldn’t keep you long, nor should we overwelcome our stay. Best we be off now!”
And with that the brunet ushers his group off. And calling over his shoulder, “And please do keep an eye on your little tiger! They’re quite curious creatures.”
At the mention, Midoriya looks to where he last saw the tiger only to see an open space from where it stood.
“Oh no, not again!”

One Last Time
Bakugou x fem!reader
warnings: uh
angst, curse words
Note: umm
hi
“I tried to move on, Katsuki, but no one is you.”
The man scoffed, shaking his head and leaning against the balcony. “And what makes me so special?”
“You never ran from me when you met my worse.” And she smiled, closing her eyes as if tears threatened and her head turned away. Bakugou blinked, mouth opened ever so slightly and eyebrows dented. He almost- almost reached out until, “but
” (y/n) sighed and rested a hand onto the ledge, her head leaning onto her hand as she looked into the window that tunneled to the dance hall. “You met her. And I see now of the love you both share was something we could never have with one another.”
Before he could even respond, the doors to the balcony opened.
“Hello dear,” Midoriya piped, slick in his suit and hair tangled back. It was the hair style (y/n) had always wanted bakugou to try, swearing it’d look ‘so handsom’. The hero came up just next to her, an arm coming around her waist and lips kissing her head. “Awfully cold out here. Don’t you want to come inside and get warm?” He shrugged off his jacket, pulling it around her bare shoulders the dress left.
The blond stared, mouth closing but he stopped himself. The breeze blew heavy and he straightened, looking to his friend. “Hey, Deku.”
“Kacchan.”
“I’ll come in in a moment.” She tugged the jacket on close. “You go in, I’ll be right behind.”
His smile faded ever so, but nodding and eyeing his old friend then turning to leave. And just as the doors closed
bakugou was close, holding (y/n) in his arms and breathing in deeply.
“I love you.” He whispered, “I fucking love you.”
She fought the tears that brimmed her eyes, pushing him away. “And I you.”
Just seconds after a moment of exchanged looks from a distance, she escaped to the doors, lost in the party of dozens and slow music. And in the window, just in eye view, was Uraraka. Bakugou locked gazes, swallowing his pride and took one foot after the other to face reality, again.

Paralyze.
Chapter 21
Three days have passed since Bakugou's kidnapping, and I... I feel absolutely horrible. These three days I've been visiting Midoriya, Yaoyorozu and Jiro, checking on them in case they have woken up yet. Some students from 1B were also hospitalized, mostly those who were unconscious.
Yesterday, Yaoyorozu woke up, and I encountered Todoroki and Kirishima too. I didn't want to, but we overheard Yaomomo's conversation with All Might and a police officer.
A new fire grew in me, and later that day, I visited Yaoyorozu on my own.
"You want me to do another tracker?" There was disbelief in her voice as she stared at me with wide eyes. I nodded, determined.
"Please, you know why I want it, right? Kirishima and Todoroki want you to do it too." Her head turned to look down, "You don't need to decide now, I'll let you think about it, I won't get mad if you decide you're not going to, so don't worry." She nodded at my words.
"Just, let me think about it..."
She was hesitant, but I completely understood why, and I told myself I'd be okay with her decision.
Today, I was walking through the halls of the hospital again, a nurse had checked up on the wound on my arm already, changing the bandages and making sure the stitches were still in place. To be honest, I didn't feel any pain, just an annoying rub against my clothes.
I decided to stop by and see if Midoriya had woken up, and far ahead I saw the rest of the class coming towards me.
"Hey guys," I raised my hand in a way to greet them and they did the same. We hadn't seen each other so much these past days, but now and then I would encounter Iida or Kaminari, as they were checking on our classmates too.
I turned to slide the door slightly open and I was met with Izuku's blank stare. Looking over my shoulder, I beckoned everybody to come in.
"He's awake."
I walked in first, sitting down on the foot of Izuku's hospital bed. His arms were in casts, and he had a bandage wrapped around his head. Everyone started talking but I didn't hear any of it. At least, not until Kirishima said how we could still reach Bakugou.
After that, only Eijiro stayed here, telling Izuku the plan we had thought of if Yaoyorozu helped.
When he left, I just sat there, in silence, looking down at my hands.
"(M/n)-kun..." I looked at Izuku with tears clouding my sight, but I blinked them away, smiling at him.
"I'm gonna save Bakugou, Izuku."
//////
In the afternoon, I had to leave Izuku's room. Recovery Girl had come by again to completely heal his injuries. And now I was waiting for him, the doctor told me he was going to be released from the hospital that day. My eyes went up to the clock on the wall over the receptionist's desk. It's time.
I got up and out of the hospital, standing by the door. Kirishima and Todoroki were here too.
"I wonder what she decided, it doesn't matter how we feel, it's all up to her," Todoroki said to Kirishima and me.
We were silent for some minutes, I couldn't think of what I would do if Yaoyorozu said no to-, "There she is," Kirishima's voice got me out of my thoughts as I looked towards the hospital's door.
Yaoyorozu walked out, and Izuku was right behind her.
"Yaoyorozu, what's your answer?" Eijiro asked her, and she seemed a bit hesitant.
"I..."
"Wait!" I turned to look behind everyone, where Iida was getting closer to us.
"Iida-kun?" My feet made me walk a bit closer to them, standing beside Todoroki.
"Why... why does it have to be you? The ones who stopped me when I got carried away... who received the amnesty with me... why do both of you want to make the same mistake as I? It's too much!" Iida was yelling by now, I was confused.
What is he talking about?
"We're still minors! U.A. it's already in a really bad position. Who would be accountable for your acts? Don't you understand?!" Midoriya began walking towards him.
"Iida-kun, that's not it. I don't think it's okay to break the rules..." Izuku was cut off by Iida's punch. My eyes went wide, out of everyone in 1A, Iida was the last one who I thought would punch Izuku like that.
I walked to the green-haired boy, seeing as he was stumbling a bit, and held him, so he wouldn't fall.
"I'm scared too! I worry! It's normal! I'm the class president, I worry about my classmates! Not just about Bakugou-kun!" Iida rested his hands on top of Izuku's shoulders and bent down to his height, his voice beginning to crack, I felt an arm grab my shoulder.
Kirishima was pulling me back slowly.
"When I saw your injuries, I saw my brother in that hospital bed! If you couldn't get better, like my brother, because of your imprudence... you're saying you don't care about how I feel...?"
"Iida-kun..."
"Iida, we aren't thinking of going forward and attacking. We'll save him without fighting," I cut off Izuku, in my best attempt to make Iida understand and calm down.
"It would be something undercover, that's how the students would fight, on the limits of the rules," Kirishima added.
"I trust Todoroki-san, but I'm going to go with them to stop them if something happens." I smiled slightly at Yaoyorozu's words.
"I'm not sure either, but after knowing I can still reach him, I can't stay still," Izuku began saying, and I looked down, tightening my fists.
"I can just think of rescuing him," I whispered at the same time Izuku finished what he was saying. "That's why, we're going."
//////
I was sitting in front of Iida on the train, looking down at my shoes.
'(M/n)... help me.'
My eyes shut tight at the memory of Bakugou's voice, ever since it happened, whenever I got distracted or spaced out, his scared voice would ring inside my mind. I shook my head and covered my face with my hands.
"(L/n)-kun, are you feeling okay?" Through my fingers, I peeked at Iida and let my hands fall to rest on my thighs.
"I'm fine, Iida, don't worry."
///////
"Why?"
That was the only thing I could ask as I stared down at my costume and then everybody else's.
I had my hair pushed back with gel and tiny horns glued to each side of my forehead. I also had fake front teeth, making me look like a bunny -it was a bit uncomfortable-. My clothes consisted of completely black; a leather jacket, a long oversized t-shirt, skinny jeans and boots, along with some chains hanging.
Oh, almost forgot the choker and the fingerless motorbiker gloves.
"That kind of suits you, (M/n)." I grimaced at Izuku's words, fixing the jacket I was wearing as it was just a bit tiny.
"You think?" He nodded and also did Eijiro. I sighed, "Shouldn't we get going?"
"Guys, our destination it's over this direc-" Yaoyorozu began pointing our way to go when somebody interrupted her.
"Hey, it's U.A.!" We all tensed and turned around.
'Now, a video apology that had been sent from U.A.'
//////
We walked for who knows how long while following Yaoyorozu's directions. Until we stopped by a vending machine in front of the building where the tracker showed our target was. I volunteered to keep an eye on the building, to alert them of any kind of movements. But time went by and nothing.
A couple of drunk men came up and started being annoying, it wouldn't matter if I stopped their muscles, so I just walked up to them with the most serious face I could make.
"Go away," I have no idea how my face might've looked, but they surely trembled and ran away. Another sigh got past my lips, and I turned back to lean against the wall again. "Yaoyoruzu," I called her and she looked at me, "I can take this off? They are a bit uncomfortable." I said as I pointed at my fake teeth.
She giggled but nodded. And as soon as she did, my hand reached up and took off those annoying fake front teeth.
I was getting a bit tired of hearing their debates about the situation, so I got in the conversation, "Let's go from the back, it's our only option," they nodded and one after another, we stepped inside the tight space to get to the back of the building.
"We can't act until we know it's safe. Maybe we can get in at that height." I looked up, to where Midoriya was pointing, and I saw a window.
"Can we see with all that darkness?" Todoroki asked.
"I can make a night vision bino-"
"Wait, Yaoyorozu. Actually, I brought one with me." Kirishima said taking it out of his pocket, and Izuku said something about how pricy they were, but the redhead made it seem like nothing.
"Alright, Izuku and Eijiro, you two look. Iida and I would carry you." I said.
"Todoroki-kun, help me." I crouched down as Todoroki helped Izuku get on my shoulders, and Yaomomo helped Kirishima.
I stood straight slowly, grabbing his legs to prevent him from falling.
"It's dirty, I can't see anything..." after some seconds, Kirishima flinched and moved back, almost falling off of Iida's shoulders.
"What's wrong, Kirishima-kun?" Izuku asked him.
"Tell us what you see, Kirishima," Todoroki exclaimed at him in a whisper.
"At the back... on the left... Midoriya, look..." he passed his night vision binoculars.
"It can't be... That is... Nomu?!" I got a bit confused for a second, but the memories of the USJ attack on the news came to my head. Izuku told me about it, how the villain had called the thing All Might fought a 'Nomu'.
//////
I'm not entirely sure what had happened, I just know that there wasn't time to be looking back, it was an instant thing what had happened... it didn't even take a second. Even like that, that man's spirit... made us hold our breath as his words caused a death vision to flash inside our minds.

WSB (and WSHB) - Chapter V
cw: serious melodrama (kdrama level tbh).
Masterlist
The car stops in the parking garage just outside of the Hero Agency, and there’s a pause as Tessa turns off the engine, then glances at you, twisting her mouth to the side. She’s been trying very hard to be supportive the entire drive here, you can tell by the way she grips the steering wheel, but she clearly is not on board with this decision in the slightest.
She sighs and you brace yourself for the scolding.
“I still don’t think you should be doing this just because of Midoriya.”
Tessa turns to you, a pout on her lips in anticipation of your defense. Instead you offer none, opening the car door and making your way out, your letter clutched in your hand. Annoyed, she follows you into the building, crossing the distance quickly. There are a few interns that watch with bated breath as they see you enter, before one has the good manners to wave and give you a warm welcome. You continue to march straight to the supervisor’s office, to ensure that your resolve doesn’t waver. Your heart thumps repeatedly in your chest, as fast as Tessa’s footsteps behind you.
“Don’t do this,” she says again, more like a plea.
I was never meant for this stuff anyway. Midoriya has been dragging me along since high school, you want to say to her. The back of your eyes start to burn and you shake your head to prevent tears from forming. A formal resignation should be professional, not dramatic.
It’s not because of him anyway, you repeat to yourself in your head. You need to devote more time to the clinic, where you belong and it doesn’t help to constantly have your phone buzzing with assignments. They’d probably end up firing you first anyway.
Tessa mutters something under her breath about being lonely at work and you consider rolling your eyes, knowing full well that she and Bakugou are doing more than just having lunch at their joint lunch breaks. It must be nice to be loved unconditionally and without reservations, you want to say, the rest of us have to -
“Tenten.”
Your heart stops and you turn involuntarily towards his voice. Izuku now stands by Tessa, and he looks absolutely awful.
Not in a physical way, of course. Izuku is always unnervingly handsome, especially in his form-fitting costume, and his green locks are tousled in a way that you’ve always thought was cute since you met him years ago. But there’s much less charity behind his eyes, like he’s seen enough in the past few days and is tired of it all, and there’s a subtle but genuine pallor behind his freckled cheeks. His lips are pressed thin.
How dare he look more upset than you? you think indignantly.
“What?” You can’t help but hissing. It’s the first word you’ve spoken to each other in over three months and it’s said harshly with venom that’s accrued over the weeks. Yet somehow it’s also stale, without bite, as though the poison has lost a bit of its potency.
Nevertheless Izuku flinches for a moment at your reply, as if he’s no longer used to your voice. Or maybe just not in this way. You were crying when you broke up, not angry. He opens his mouth and closes it.
“Can I help you?” You press again, your fist clenching around the envelope in your hand. Izuku’s eyes travel to your right hand then back to your eyes.
“I want to talk to you,” he says slowly and deliberately.
Something turns in your stomach.
“I have to do something first,” you insist. Quit the premier Hero Agency in the country and kiss this nonsense goodbye.
“Please let’s just talk first-” Izuku steps closer and reaches for your arm and -
“Don’t fucking touch me!” Your voice comes out in a shrill cry that surprises even you. When you look back at him, that same pallor subtle in his cheeks is now full blown, and his skin is almost paper white. You can see him swallow hard and your heart sways just a little for him at how embarrassing this might be for him. There are eyes all over you that aren’t just Tessa’s, but the rest of the agency which probably knows how Pro Hero Deku has utterly shamed you on top of the betrayal. Maybe you feel a little less bad.
Your eyes dart around. It’s almost 9 am, Tessa shouldn’t be standing here, she should be going to the Monday morning debrief. These pencil pushers shouldn’t be gawking at the three of you, watching you shake as you compose yourself and making judgements and opinions they can sell to reporters. If someone pulls out their phone, you swear you’ll end up in jail.
Izuku shouldn’t be here either. He should be off with Tessa to hear the roundup of the intel gained last week so that this week goes smoothly. He rarely frequents this end of the building anyway, where Human Resources and the rest of the administrative people live, reminding this company that they’re truly just a company at the end of the day
You were supposed to be in and out, and now you’re causing a scene.
“Please.” Izuku repeats, his voice cracking. It’s smaller than you remember ever hearing it. His hands are now nervously clasped together to remind himself not to touch you. There’s a part of you that absolutely does not want to hear out anything he has to say but another part of you misses him terribly.
You’ll probably regret it.
---
True to the finely polished professional he is, Izuku starts off exactly as you expect him to.
“I’m sorry.”
You sit perfectly still in your chair across from him in a too-sunny corner of the one of the outdoor break spaces, trying to control the welling up of emotions in your chest. Unlike within the confines of your workplace just earlier, this location is a lot more open and you’re more acutely aware of your surroundings. Embarrassing yourself and/or crying will only be more fodder for the tabloids; speaking to him in public is already too much of a risk.
His words come out far too sanitized to account for the pain you feel and bile rises in your throat. However, you smile at him in a way that’s unnerving, more a baring of the teeth than anything else.
“What for?” You ask, sweetly. Your hands grip gently at the fabric of your slacks as you wait for him to reply. You don’t want an apology. You want him to take all the hurt back, which would mean he and you and her and everything that entangles you three just ceasing to exist.
“Everything,” he says.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you lie through clenched teeth. You should really stop trying to smile. Izuku makes a sudden movement, as though to reach for your hand, then reconsiders. However you catch the action and it makes your stomach turn.
The two of you sit in silence, as though in a standoff, deciding where to go next. This - whatever this is - could end in tears, or screams, or worse, depending on the words either of you use next. Izuku is always slightly more controlled over his emotions than you are, but even he has his limits, and he has wanted to scream for the past week knowing that you, somewhere, were hurt enough by him to run into Shoto’s arms. He’d even tried to call after weeks of polite silence, only to realize you’d blocked his phone number and any other routes of social media. If you’d allowed him to know where you lived now, he would have shown up at your doorstep days ago. He could still do so, but to admit that you’ve cut him out so cleanly he’d have to ask someone where you lived
 he had some pride.
He says, “I didn’t mean to-” and you lose all sense of restraint. You rise so quickly the chair tips over backwards, but does not fall, and you hiss back at him.
“You accidentally fucked her? You accidentally made a child?”
You can see Izuku’s Adam’s apple bob as he swallows hard.
“I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Angry tears prick at your eyeballs.
“Who says I’m hurt, you piece of-” You bite your lip, holding back a sob. Your body is starting to shake and you need to leave. But your legs won’t work, and you’re pinned to the very ground you stand on. You need to quit and go home and compose yourself and launch yourself back into your work and apply to that fellowship and-
“I love you,” he croaks out.
The words stun you still, and you look at him gaping like a fish. He takes a deep breath that you can hear run through his body but as he exhales you can see his eyes start to redden too, and his next words also crack ever so slightly under pressure.
“I-I never stopped, I don’t know what to do either, I wish it hadn’t happened, I-”
The hard slap you deal across his face has him speechless.
The two of you pause as you shake out your wrist and consider hitting him again. He stares at you in complete shock, watching as hot, angry tears run down your face. You look hideous in all your anger, the red under the hue of your skin and your face twisted in rage. He raises his hand to his cheek slowly as he watches you tremble, almost in disbelief of the sting in his cheek. You would never raise your hand against someone purely in anger, no one, especially not him.
“You
” you inhale deeply, “... don’t do this to someone you love.”
His voice is barely a whisper again.
“I’m
 sorry
”
He begins to cry, for real this time, and you want to kick him in the groin so hard he can never reproduce again but also hold him close to stop the tears because you love him but your own won’t stop flowing.
In that moment, you are just two grown human beings. Professional Heroes. Crying in broad daylight like children, over problems that only adults can have.
And in that moment, you wish you were teenagers again, a boy and a girl who have just met, introducing yourselves to each other politely as classmates and expecting no more than collegiality. To graduate and to chase your dreams.
To do anything but hurt others, or each other.
---
You didn’t end up resigning that day. Instead you drove to the nearest park, got out of your car and started running.
You ran for so long, trying desperately to clear your head, that by the time the sun beat overhead, it had been over an hour you’d been on the trail, and exhausted, you dropped down on the beaten path, breathing heavily as you lay in a heap.
Izuku loves you.
He said it with his own mouth, and you know he wouldn’t lie.
Your pants turn to coughs and sputters as you swallow wrong, and you sit up quickly, but you pull your knees close to your chest and sit by the side of the road, willing yourself to keep running, or at least to get back to your car.
Izuku loves you still.
And you love him.
You love him so much it hurts as much as your lungs do right now, begging for air.
But despite loving you, you’re still where you are right now.
You don’t want to love him back, not at all. Not when all you can think of is Ochaco under him and him holding her, kissing her, cumming inside her, creating a life.
You want to vomit. Their child would be so cute. Rosy red cheeks and green, maybe brown curly hair? Freckles? A baby who always laughs?
Is it laughing at you? It’s an awful thought to think of, the three of them as a happy family, and you, alone, loveless, a poser. Someone who constantly and consistently flew too close to the sun. After all, since high school, Ochaco had always been the better option.
Plus, she had always loved him first. Things were just balancing out the way they were supposed to. Maybe it was a weird sort of twisted karma for stealing him away all these years.
You sigh and stretch out your arms. The grass is warm underneath you, and you dig in your hands to the soft soil, and remember not to tear out the blades. Your fingers uncurl.
It will be okay.

A preview of an AU I've been cooking up...
When you wake up late one Thursday morning, there’s no obvious sign, no premonition that your world is about to be turned upside down. You had gone to bed late the night before, sending Shinsou stupid memes and ignoring Yoarashi’s late night text spam of how many cats he rescued that day (but you still save the cat pictures). It’s as mundane as Thursdays go and breakfast is spent in a quiet corner with Shinsou, who doesn’t have much to say other than matching your tired yawns.
“What would you rate this out of ten?” you say, turning your phone so he can see the chubby tabby splayed out in the sun.
“Trick question. All cats are tens,” he answers around a mouthful of rice.
“But he’s so fat,” you snicker. “Look at those neck rolls.”
“Doesn’t matter, still a ten.”
You take a sip of your miso soup just as Ochako stops by your table. “Hey, have you seen Deku-kun anywhere?” she frets, looking a little frazzled. Your stomach does its usual swoop at the mention of Midoriya, but you ignore it. “He said he was going to lend me his notes for Ectoplasm’s quiz today, but I can’t find him anywhere.”
You frown, exchanging a look with your friend across the table. “Maybe he got called in to Endeavor’s last minute,” you suggest, but her frown only deepens. “I mean, you can borrow mine if you want. They aren’t as good, but they’ll do in a pinch.”
Her face brightens and you relax. “You’re a lifesaver!” she beams, bouncing a little in place as you rummage through your satchel. “Thank you so much!”
“Don’t mention it,” you say, handing over your notebook.
“That might explain why your Icy Hot boyfriend isn’t around either,” mutters Shinsou under his breath. You shoot him with a glare so severe that it could probably strip paint from the walls, but he just grins. Unrepentant little shit

“But Bakugou-kun left for class a few minutes ago,” interjects Ochako, which effectively stops any potential bickering.
“Odd
” you murmur, then shrug. It’s really none of your business, but

Ah well. Stranger things have happened.
And it turns out all your worrying was for nothing when both Midoriya and Shouto finally show up to class, disheveled, clearly sleep-deprived, and almost five minutes late. Iida stiffens with displeasure and Aizawa opens one bloodshot eye from his spot on the floor. “Detention, both of you,” he drones without preamble. “I want you at my desk as soon as the final bell rings.”
“This is completely inexcusable behavior!” Iida bellows, waving his arm stiffly. “At this hallowed institution, it is imperative that you develop good habits as heroes-in-training!”
“Class prez is in top form today, huh?” mumbles Shinsou, arms folded on his desk and clearly trying to cram in a last-minute nap.
At that moment, Kaminari bursts in and Iida nearly has an aneurysm. Aizawa gives up trying to restore order just as the class erupts into chaos.

Whoever guesses the ship in this AU gets a doodle of Izuku picking lint off his All might hoodie (/hj). There's more than one~
I'm going to be on vacation for two months, but rest assured that I'll still be writing tons! I've been super busy with work, but now I get to breathe easier and work on my fics without (much) interruption.
