(I highly recommend the fic series-- it's truly a literary masterpiece. A+ story.)

I may repaint this at some point since I didn't spend more than an hour or two on this. It was just a warm-up practice piece that got out of hand. (also I drew clothes, hated them, refused to paint them.) I am *trying* to step back into painting without firm lineart but since switching programs I am just... struggling. I can't tell if it's me or the brushes. Both maybe? *sigh*

This on-going fic is a sequel that you can technically read on it's own, and its premise is SO INTERESTING! It subverts the "modern girl in Thedas" trope and says, what if Ancient Egg was in Modern Thedas? While the first of this series is awesome, this fic blew me away with how it plays with subverting common DA fanfic tropes, and ALSO made me overheat. Salesmain is an honest inspiration to me as a writer and I sincerely hope you give any of her fics a read!

Talk about writing inspiration!!! An AMAZING Dragon Age: Origins fanfic that wrestles with themes of responsibility and identity. I don't have enough words to describe how much of a pleasure this is to read - Mahanon is such an amazing, well-thought out character who struggles with both inner and outer demons, and it's so well written that you struggle right alongside him.

Don't know if you've read it but there's a solavellan longfic that plays with the idea of a connection between the quiz and dirthamen! Not in the "lavellan is possessed by dirthamen" way but i won't spoil the reveal here hahaha. It's called "in the face of your light" by noverture, it's on ao3. I fell off some time ago (too long for my dwindling attention focus skdjksk) but it's very good!! Absolutely recommend

I don't want to touch Solavellan fics until I've actually. romanced Solas (look Alaris has a magnetic pull and I keep playing as him and he can't romance Solas so it's just The Usual Husbands every time I can't help it-), but I'll keep that in mind!

Both are really good but the first one by victoriousscarf is my personal favorite. They both revolve around the well of sorrows and a traumatized Lavellan having to do everything over again. But this time with PTSD and a lot of heartbreak.

Have you read In the face of your light by noverture on ao3? Idk if fanfic is something youre interested in but the author does really well writing a more genuine/satisfying (?) depiction of solavellen (its specifically m!solavellen too) on like a stronger basis of comradeship rather than a romance it might be something that interests you? You can just ignore this ask if fics aren't your thing

I don't read loads of fanfic but I will look it up!! I'm starving for m!solavellan content anyway and if their relationship is well written, even more so
