Two separate covers of Encanto songs have me thinking about my oc and I can't stop.

First up!

Waiting on a Miracle - Stephanie Beatriz

I went with Annapantsu's cover. There's a minor lyric "Hey, I'm still a part of the family Madrigal" becomes "Hey, I'm still a part of the family after all". This one I want to turn into a pmv and here's what I'm picturing for the idea:

Happens during the Star's wand ceremony. Nova (the oc in question) watches on and wants to be happy for her but she's hesitant. While everyone celebrates Nova slips away at some point and goes to the Hall of Queens aka the Grandma Room. Here's where the music would start. She's taking a breather to calm herself and vents with only her family's tapestries there to see. The song would come to a close with Nova standing before a tapestry of the first queen. This one was created based on descriptors of the queen.

Mirabel's Villain Song - We Don't Talk About Bruno by Lydia the Bard

I don't have any thing written up and already I want to write an au of an au. In this case Nova turns on her family far earlier in the story. The Magic High Commission knows about her true lineage and treat her with indifference. Nova remains quiet and stays out of their way. She's found that Butterfly Castle has a lot of hiding spots. Another thing is the MHC like to talk when they think no one else is around. Nova learns a lot from overhearing their discussions.

At some point while Star is still very little an incident occurs that results in Nova leaving or being sent away. Her leaving I can picture the song being how it all goes down.

The fourth character profile for my Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! series 'Hunted Butterfly' actually covers two characters as I couldn't separate the two.

These two are Azure Spear (Blue monkey) and Ruby Mace (Dark red monkey), they are the technical first monkeys to be created outside sources instead of the Alchemist. Their creator went off the deep end many years after their creation but was quickly dealt with, he will not be seen in the series. Unlike the other monkey couples in the series, they are happily married and have been together for many many years. They live on the same planet as Chrome and they are his old friends, they've assisted him in combat and in his personal life. They only know about the Alchemist through Salem but did not know about the Hyperforce team until they met them personally; Ruby warmed up to Nova and Sparx really quick while Azure was quickly to acquaint himself with Gibson and Antauri. They both like the rest of the team.

They're very interesting as while they are able to fight, they live a more peaceful life as they believed that they should be prepared for life outside of combat. They work a range of jobs part-time but have gotten more involved with the war on Shuggazoom as they help the team with more personal problems since as a married couple for many years they are seen as experts in general relationships. Azure is the usually more docile one out of the two of them while Ruby is the more forward one but Azure will have his moments where he gets very defensive and stern for others while Ruby will be docile and/or vulnerable because of some trauma in his past which will be explain in the series.

Their relationship was inspired by another artists work (They don't have Tumblr) and what I am personally used to in my everyday life.

In the series, there will be flashbacks to better explain his story and the events of the story that will shape his character.

I will reveal more about him at a later date.

Is Nana legitimately uncomfortable with the idea of being a mom or is she just flustered by the idea of it?

Both.

I'll start this long response off by saying that Jack and Nana DO have kids IN AN AU! They have six of them in an AU I refer to as the "Parent AU" where I can toy with the concept and dynamic of the two having offspring.

BUT in the canon of Beanstalked, and basically all the other AUs featuring the two that aren't the Parent AU, Nana doesn't want kids.

The thought results in very mixed feelings for her, with discomfort outweighing her comfort. She loves Jack and if the situation ever occurred where she was pregnant, she'd feel better knowing its his kid because he's a trustworthy and protective fella who'd never let anything happen to her. And the thought of carrying his children does make her flustered and gives her butterflies sometimes...

But she'd very much love to avoid ever having to deal with being knocked up in the first place. The idea of being pregnant, dealing with all the issues that come with pregnancy like the mood swings, cravings, weird body stuff, fluctuating energy, and the ordeal of childbirth itself is just too much for her.

Add in the fact having kids is a never ending responsibility and stressor, especially with the world she and Jack live in where literally ANYTHING can happen, and you got Nana's typically tough and stoic exterior crumble and she becomes more skittish and avoidant of the topic.

Jack doesn't really have kids on the mind either. I say "doesn't really" because he is honestly leaving the idea to Nana to decide. It's her body and her decision ultimately. After all these years, dude is still ecstatic that she decided to date him at all. So having kids isn't an end goal for him, he just wants a happy life with his future wife.

I decided that Jack and Nana don't have kids in their canon timeline because it's a rarity to see a male and female in a romantic relationship that don't want or have children. And I grew up constantly having couples in animate movies and series I watch have kids since it was basically the default. Even if they didn't have kids in the first movie, you could bet your ass that the sequel either had the couple from the first dealing with children or they toss in a last minute twist where the girl reveals she's pregnant.

And around the time I was plotting out the ending of Beanstalked, a lot of the shounen I was into or knew about, were ending with couples having babies (typically as a set up to a spin off focusing on a next gen situation).

As someone who doesn't want kids at all, I think it's important to have a couple who also make it apparent they don't want kids. It's a POV that, AGAIN, isn't that frequent of an occurrence in media featuring a m/f relationship. And Red Beans is a deeply personal OC ship for me, which is why they are like...the only ship out of the main three that don't have kids in their canon. Pluto and Nova craft Comet, and Sweetheart and Bitterbat wind up giving birth to 13 whole little monsters.

Jack and Nana don't have an kids in their canon future because I want their love for each other to be enough for them to be happy together.

obviously bandana waddle dee, as he's her best friend! putting aside the dream land four in particular, probably magolor as she sees him next most regularly, or of course coo. as for least, i think probably dark meta knight. even scarier version of the guy who already doesn't seem to trust her. or susie, who she would not be bothered by at first glance, but who i think might try to dissect her alive

she has a fairly typical fear of being hurt, maimed, or dying, despite evidence to the contrary that none of these pose much of a risk to her. as for a morpho fusion... i think that could be really cool, and i'd love to tackle it properly, so i might come back to that later! for now, here's this!

King Dedede- big ol' goof. sometimes gets possesed

Bandanna Waddle Dee- only one out of all of them who keeps track of things

Marx- crazy jester.

Magolor- smart mechanic, extremely good technology.

Susie- smart and easily annoyed gurl.

Taranza- always nervous spider like creature, has two extra eyes under his main eyes.

The Three Mage Sisters- Francisca, Flamberge, and Zan Partizanne.

Hyness- still much as the canon Hyness, just a bit more protective.

Dark Meta Knight- scar across his face from a spar with Meta Knight. large wings and claws under them gloves.

Shadow Kirby- scar on eye, that scar causes his eye to go blind, half blind, very shy.

Galacta Knight- confused after he got out of his seal, cant fly properly after being locked up for a long time.

Morpho Knight- calm, gentle butterfly knight. has a whole hidden colony in ruins in the rainforest, large colony, three rankings; Gold (Royal) Silver (gaurdians of the royals) and Bronze (Citizen). Morpho is in the Gold Ranking.

Shadow Dedede (i think i got the name right)- CURRENTLY DONT HAVE ANYTHING FOR SHADOW DEDEDE!

Dark Taranza (i think i got the name right)- more cocky verson of Taranza, very tricky to deal with.

Red Kirby- calm, harsh, red puffball, protective over Blue Kirby

Blue Kirby- calm, gentle one out of the other kirbys

Green Kirby- scientist, goofy, and slightly crazy.

Yellow Kirby- crazy, goofy, yellow ball.

(yes i added the other colored Kirbys)

Prince Fluff- a organized Prince.

Kato (KIRBY OC)- a mage who can mix elements together, tall, fluffy, clawed-pawed hands.

Nova (KIRBY OC)- the fifth knight, forgotten, failed dark matter creation, siblings with DMK

I’m late but if it’s not too late for the Kirby oc ask game, 💫💌🍒🍅🐛 for either/both your ocs?

A: If we're talking current day, after they've met and become friends, I honestly think they might just give their wish to each other. Neither is the type to rely on magic or Ancient shenanigans to reach their goals, for better or worse; but they do want what's best for each other.

If we're talking about before the two met: for Zed, it's a secret because I haven't figured out some story details. For Tillda, it's probably predictable enough. I made a little comic (it continues under the cut):

A: Tillda is not that difficult to befriend, but she might keep you at a healthy(?) distance. She was always somewhat introverted, but after losing contact with Taranza, she is more reclusive (spider pun!) than ever. Zed is her closest friend, but she is also respected and generally well-liked at her workplace.

Zed is even less social than Tillda. It isn't because they don't like other people; they just don't actively seek friendship. For instance, Zed almost certainly wouldn't be friends with Tillda if she hadn't bumped into them during one of their work shifts. (Speaking of which, they do inadvertently creep some of their coworkers out, but either Zed doesn't notice or doesn't mind.)

A: ...This one is gonna be somewhat long. I'll reblog with the answer to this one later.

A: Tillda---hold your suspense---would give the Spider Copy Ability. (Maybe Kirby could wear her muffler. Or a wig. That would be cute.)

I could see Zed giving the Whip ability because of their tail. (This is much like how Gooey is represented by Whip Shadow Kirby in Fighters 2 because the former uses his tongue as a lasso of sorts). Though maybe you could argue that Zed, being a feline like Tac and wielding a mechanical visor, should give the Copy Copy Ability. (Zed's own visor has several functions, but scanning Copy Abilities is not one of them.)

Q: "🐛 (Caterpillar) - What are your OC’s greatest fears, and why? How do they act or react when they’re afraid?"

A: Tillda and Zed obviously have some deeper-rooted fears, but those will naturally be explored later in comics (whenever I get the chance), so we'll go with their greatest phobias:

Zed: Musophobia. Zed is terrified of rats and mice. Rodents are messy, they chew through wires and equipment, and they're a sign of a disorganized workspace. (And I love the cat-afraid-of-mouse trope.)

Tillda: Claustrophobia. She doesn't like small, tight rooms or crowded cities; maybe it's because she's lived in nice green countrysides all her life. Floralia is obviously a plant-filled paradise, but the planet she lives on now also has some verdant stretches. The modest home she inherited from her parents is in one of the planet's greenest cities (more of a village, really).

As for how they react to scary situations: you know "fight, flight, or freeze"? Well, Tillda fights, and Zed freezes.

Head canon time? Now??

- So a big one I’ve had for over a year now is Cygnus being an amputee and being blind in one eye, I saw other people hc recently and I’m very happy to see people on board

- The Space Time Hotel was made by The Traveler’s emotions, this was another one for a while, but I recently started to think that the hotel also being kind of sentient. Like it has emotions and can communicate to only the traveler because it’s also connected to his life and his powers rub off on it

- The Traveler is actually a humanoid star. He has a form where he looks more like a star but prefers his classic Traveler look.

- My biggest hc and the one I’ve had the longest is the Traveler’s Association, surprisingly, The Traveler is not in command despite being who everyone there worships, the association might need its own thing because it’s a bit complex, but the man in charge is actually an OC who only has a design in a jd rp server(the lore there is different from my own because the server combines everyone’s lore)

- The Traveler physically cannot stop Night Swan himself, I have this one because I believe that The Traveler is an amazing man and caring father(Nep lore leading to me being his son is wild), he can’t stop her because when he realized his mistake and went to send her back to earth, he was punished for bringing her in the danceverses in the first place and he was made unable to defeat Night Swan himself(so was Si’ha)

- Kwang and Mothigan are actually half siblings…Just listen to me on this one- So Mothigan is the daughter of countess butterfly and the head traveler(my oc) and Kwang is the son of countess butterfly and Wild West ext, he’s the younger one and does not know anything about his family so he refuses to believe he’s related to any of them(except his dad who’s dead)

- Uptown Funk is a shapeshifter and I named him Simon, he’s also kind of a hitman🧍🏻

- Alex and Lukas are ferret parents, this is a canon thing in the rp server, they have three ferrets, one’s blood thirsty and would like to kill Gabriela

- So I know some people hc Smalltown Boy and Scotty to be the same, but I like to believe that Scotty Smalltown Boy(Tristan which is Angel’s hc name) and Lumen are all brothers, Tristan ran away and Scotty and Lumen were placed in an orphanage and Scotty started going to Eternyx where he then was taken in by Vester

- Mothigan is more moth like without the use of magic, she had moth eyes, actually antennas and four arms, but to fit in she changed her appearance with magic

- The Traveler has some false memories/he has missing memories, the head traveler liked experimenting with memory alteration and mind control, so he would test it out on the traveler which would often cause major confusion anxiety in the traveler and occasionally caused him to lash out because he could feel something was wrong but he could never pin point the issue

- The Nova kitty is a Cheshire Cat like fella, he can do everything the Cheshire can do but he prefers normal cat life because it’s easier to just do nothing

- Kapyy and Hoku are brother and sister who didn’t grow up together(Kapyy lived in Cyberfunk, Hoku lived in WinterHaven, Bo Blu was made to keep her out of trouble but she uncoded and recoded him to help her and be more of a comfort)

- Kapyy REALLY idolizes Cygnus and wants to be an inventor, he knows the whole Cygnus working with Night Swan thing should make him idolize him less, but after their separation, Kapyy started idolizing him more and he would like to one day be Cygnus’ apprentice

- These aren’t hcs but ships I created and love are Diego/Liege Rosal, Aria(Dance All Nite)/Sailor and Stormi(Umbrella)/Seymour(Hey, Ya!)

I have some just dance ocs too who I kind of wanna share a bit about too while we’re here

- I have ocs based on songs from Eurovision, the songs are Europapa, Doomsday Blue, The Code and Rim Tim Tagi Dim, the characters names are Elioson Phyles(he/him), Delilah Blue(they/them), Theo Collins(they/them) and River Dimmit(he/him)

- I have many ocs who’s songs are måneskin songs, my oldest one being Marlena Holloway who is Cygnus’ mother and a former ballerina who quit after experiencing some bad leg issues and losing a competition

- Dami is another jd måneskin oc, his song is L’altra Dimensione, he’s a human who wanted more and turned to the danceverses, I haven’t decided if he has beef with Cygnus yet

- Delilah and River are actually a couple who fall in love after getting separated from Elio and Theo

- My second oldest jd oc is Odette I think, she’s Cygnus’s older sister who’s cause of death is an earthquake in Floworld(she was an exchange student there and opened a bakery after she finished school, Cygnus moved in with her months prior to the earthquake)

- Since I introduced Cygnus’s mom and sister, his dad is named Mathias, he’s just been dead for a long time

I love discussing Kurabe and Fettuccine, so I'll do them again, but I'll add Mikuto as well at least since I answered a few of these already for Kurabe and Fettuccine.

💫 - If they were to wish on a clockwork star, like Galactic Nova or Star Dream, what would they wish for?

Kurabe - A shovel and for Mars to show up so she can make sure he's dead this time or for the Organization is completely rid of corruption.

Fettuccine - Kind of depends on when she meets the star, but overall, both of her wishes would involve wanting Meta to be happy.

Mikuto - Honestly, I think his would be to get rid of his innate Crash Ability, since it's always at risk of triggering when he becomes angry.

💌 - How easy are they to befriend? Are they more of a social butterfly or a lone wolf?

Kurabe - Kurabe is in the middle of the road. She's a bit difficult to fully befriend, but she's not as standoffish. It's more likely that she will befriend someone than she is the one who is befriended. She is social but also likes her quiet time.

Fettuccine - Easy to befriend and definitely a social butterfly. She likes talking to people a lot.

Mikuto - Mikuto is pretty laid back so he's also very easy to befriend. However, due to people in the past keeping their distance from him due to naturally having the Crash Ability, you'd have to approach him first.

🕰️ - What would a Dreamy Gear version of them look like? What sort of accessories would they have? What kind of role do they play?

Kurabe - I did actually design a Dreamy Gear version of Kurabe! She's a tutor for aristocrats in the City of Light. She had also tutored Meta Knight in the past and is a bit of a mother figure to him. I can see her as someone Meta Knight goes to for advice during the story.

Fettuccine - I didn't have a design for Fettuccine prior, but I did quickly sketch out one for this ask! For her backstory, she could be one of Meta's childhood friends in the City of Light. As for her role in the story, I had the idea of her being his fiancée that helps out with Meta Knight and Daroach's raid on Hugo's mansion. (Especially since she's a Limet and can shapeshift into one of the guards there)

Mikuto - I also just came up with a quick sketch of his design in this ask. I imagine him being a laidback printer and newspaper delivery man that Kirby knows well. I haven't figured out how he could get with Kurabe in this AU.

🍒 - Out of all of the Dream Friends [Kirby included], which ones would they get along with the most? The least?

Kurabe - Ok, Meta Knight is the obvious answer for one of the ones she'll get along with the most, but she would also get along with Kirby extremely well because he is her grandson. Outside of those two, she would get along with pretty much everyone, maybe Francisca would start a rivalry with her as another ice specialist.

I feel like she wouldn't get along with Marx or Magolor, but the two she would get along with the least are Susie and Dark Meta Knight. Susie because of the events of Planet Robobot and Dark Meta Knight because of the events of Amazing Mirror. But if I had to pick between the two, it would probably be Susie because she has not let go of the whole mechanization thing and has sworn to kill her on sight.

Fettuccine - Like Kurabe, Meta Knight would be the one she gets along with the most. Kirby is the second most because it's Kirby and he gets along with everyone, especially in the future where Kirby is her adopted son through Meta. I think the main difference between her and Kurabe is she might have a bit less tolerance for Dedede and find him loud and a bit annoying. (Kurabe's good friends with Dedede's father, so that's why she's fine with putting up with him)

But one thing her and Kurabe definitely have in common is that they would get along with Susie and Dark Meta Knight the least. Susie for similar reasons to Kurabe, she's mad at her for the whole mechanization thing. With Dark Meta Knight, it's a combination of the events of Amazing Mirror and, in later events in my AU, him taking baby Freya hostage to try and settle things once and for all with Meta.

Mikuto - He would get along with Meta Knight and Kirby the most. Maybe Kirby a bit more depending on how soon this is after he and Kurabe started dating, since Meta was a bit awkward with the fact that Mikuto would be his father. Mikuto is relaxed and laid back, so he'd get along with pretty much everyone. As for who he might not get along with, maybe Susie and Zan Par since I see them as a bit more punctual than others, and they would dislike how lazy he comes off as.

🪄 - Are they capable of wielding magic? Is it a learned skill, or is it innate? What sorts of spells can they cast? Do they possess any magical items or artifacts?

Kurabe - She definitely can use magic, but it's a weird in-between because of how magic works with puffballs in my series. The ability to manifest Copy Abilities without swallowing an enemy is magic that needs to be taught and trained, but just inhaling and swallowing is innate. Her specially is using runes for pretty much any elemental attack, but she is especially good with ice magic.

Fettuccine - For Fetty, magic is a learned skill. While she has SOME ability to use magic, it's not that strong. Usually, it's just simple things like paralyzing people. The only magic she cannot use at all is anything related to ice because ice is a natural weakness for Limets.

Mikuto - Because Mikuto isn't a fighter, he doesn't really know any magic. The closest is that he's a master of the Leaf Ability, but he's more likely to use it for defensive or entertainment purposes.

🧋 - Come up with a Kirby Café item themed around your OC! It can be a savoury dish, a drink, a dessert, or something else entirely.

For Mikuto, I'm thinking of a salad or maybe a green tea cake. Something with veggies or green tea in it since one of his main Copy Abilities is the Leaf Ability. Or maybe a vegetable curry that comes with an optional super spicy hot sauce to represent his innate Crash Ability.

🍒 (Cherry) - Out of all of the Dream Friends [Kirby included], which ones would they get along with the most? The least?

for Fondue, Perihelion, and TK

Obviously Fondue gets along best with Bandee and Dedede! But I think he'd also like Adeleine, who he probably developed a soft spot for when she stayed at Castle Dedede. On the other hand, Marx would(and does) annoy the everloving daylights out of him, and he dislikes Taranza.

Peri would greatly enjoy Magolor's company, to the mage's surprise. It's good to know the Lor is in caring hands. It'd also like talking about technology with Susie, comparing methods and experiences. Though they'd dislike Marx's senseless disorder.

TK would really like Flamberge, a fellow hothead, and for some reason I think he'd be fond of Gooey? He knows a good boi when he sees one ig. DMK would frustrate and confuse him though. Are you Meta Knight or aren't you?!

🥀 (Wilted Rose) - Do they have a Soul form? What would it look and act like? How much control over themselves do they have? Is it still possible to save them, or are they too far gone?

for Pheonix Knight

Pheonix Knight indeed has a Soul form! Four flaming wings, giant clawed hands holding a bident crackling and kept together with raw energy, and harsh glowing eyes full of grief. For a Soul form he's actually very lucid, but fixated on vengeance, no matter who or what is in the way. As to if they could be saved . . . it was possible, but the only people who could have pulled him back couldn't find him, or weren't born, or had were the indirect cause of him falling down this path. In the end his soul was claimed by the Scarlet Butterfly, before it could be any further damaged.

⚔️ (Crossed Swords) - What weapon(s) do they wield or specialize in, if any in particular? Any special properties? Do their weapons have names or epithets? [e.g. MK’s Galaxia, Morpho’s Doomblade]

For Carmilla

Carmilla's a bit of a Jack-of-all-trades, but she specializes in crossbow and throwing knives! None of her weapons have unique properties or names.

for Rosentine and Brocade

Rosentine's magic is all learned, and mostly works with plant and growth magic. She can also call apon the heart magic in the blue gems of her brooch and crown, which she uses to defend herself when need be.

Brocade's magic, on the other hand, is innate! She used heart magic mostly in combat, but learned healing magic as an adult to make sure her friends don't die doing their stupid shenanigans. She also wielded the crystal gun, which became an heirloom for the Royal Family of Ripplestar.

💫 (Shooting Star) - If they were to wish on a clockwork star, like Galactic Nova or Star Dream, what would they wish for?

For Perihelion

They would wish for knowledge, about technology, and about the people around them that they never fully understood. Maybe if they understood their peers more, or knew enough about technology, it could be free of the isolation brought apon them by their twin tails.

♟️ (Pawn) - Does your OC get possessed easily, or do they have the willpower to fight back against any possible attempts? Have they been possessed before?

For TK

Taurus has a very strong will, so at very least he'd put up a strong fight against any possible puppeteers. And he'd have a bit of an extra edge against Dark Matter as well, since he's spent the past ~7 years wielding a sword containing Dark Magic.

But he's not infallible. If someone or something was especially fierce in it's attempts, or just appealed to his ego, it's likely be enough to pull him down. He's been able to avoid situations that would put him at risk of possession so far in life, though.

For Brocade

I think Brocade's dish would be a light, fluffy cake with lavender frosting, topped with whipped cream and diamond-shaped cookies decorated to mirror her wings. It'd come with a cup of herbal tea, with a special design on the teacup.
