“Erik! I come bearing gifts!” She called out, her voice ringing throughout the catacombs. The gifts that she was speaking of were pastries she had bought from the cafe. “I wasn’t exactly sure what you like, so I decided to get their most popular sweets. I hope you aren’t allergic to anything.” The pastries were in a basket, still fresh from the bakery.

”Oh, no. I have no allergies,” Erik said, voice tinged with surprise and gratitude. He was nearly done with his main work; he had churned out a few more operas, but the Don Juan sequel was the one he devoted most energy to, and he was almost done. He supposed he had neglected to speak to others a bit while working on it, and sat it down, standing from his organ and moving closer. He smiled then, a bit like a madman.

“Oh, Nour, thank you so very much. Truly. Oh, I will return the favor as soon as I can,” he said, and hugged her quickly before stepping back. He nearly teared up but stopped himself from doing so at the last moment.

Sure, Nour can make Raoul the lead of one of my operas and base choreography on Willem Dafoe’s most cursed images, but I can go outside and hide all of her fake bugs around so she cannot find them to prank me with. Also, I have used the wickedness of my face for a prank to scare one of Nour’s friends bringing a delivery for her away, and then I ate the entire delivery.

This is juvenile but fun. When else would Erik get to be so silly?

Got my hands on the script of Anatomy of a Fall, and I couldn't help but compare it with some scenes from the movie because that's how deep I am rn :'D Anyway, here are some of my finds and things I personally enjoyed. I'm sure there are more things to dig out but these are what I wanted to share with the world. The order of my finds will be chronological, for the most part, but keep in mind that sometimes, some scenes were edited to show up later, or earlier than originally intended. Spoilers for the whole movie obviously so you've been warned!

Takes place when Vincent first visits Sandra to discuss Samuel's death. In the movie, Sandra stops Vincent and cuts him harshly, saying "STOP, I did not kill him". Vincent then says a line that I think is pretty iconic in the movie, a sarcastic : "That's not the point. Really". His line is much harsher than on the script, where he's a bit softer. "You don't need to tell me that" implies that he has some deep, loyal faith in Sandra, while "That's not the point" cuts any further discussion. He really doesn't wanna know if she actually did it. Comes from a wish to remain blind still, but with less innocence and a lot of denial. Oh, Vincent.

In the movie, his last line is way better imo, he says "No one's gonna believe that. I don't believe that." I like the emphasis on his opinion rather than the fleeting and impersonal "it's really hard to believe". Truly hits way harder and puts Vincent back in the position of a lawyer.

The rest will be under the cut because I think it's gonna be a wall of text I apologize guys...... This movie does things to my brain.

There's a scene that was cut where Vincent phones Nour while still at Sandra's, which I would have enjoyed a lot but I'll admit it's a bit filler-y. Doesn't add a lot and kinda cuts the serious tone of Sandra's confession, imo, as they discuss the judge's antics in a pretty comical manner. I just love Nour so I'm based......

Another, REALLY long scene that was cut where a medium comes into Sandra's house to feel Samuel's ghost and foreshadows Daniel poisoning Snoop with aspirin. I had a good laugh at that one, honestly. It feels pretty out of place with the tone of the movie, and the personality of the characters even... I can't picture Sandra calling a medium. I'm glad they removed it because the foreshadowing was unnecessary too. It's still interesting that they had planned it however.

This takes place after Vincent finds out about the tape. Interestingly, his whole line was cut after "before he died". In the movie, he never comments on Sandra's affairs/sexuality. He never really asks much about her life at all. He truly is blinded by his wish to shield himself from her inner demons, in order to maintain his undying loyalty towards her. To see what he wants of her...

Another scene that was completely cut (a flashback, I believe?) where Sandra makes Daniel pose for a german photographer to make some money, which Monica dislikes, and then they argue. I think it really frames her as too unsympathetic, so I'm also glad it was cut.

Okay, so now, here comes The Big Change. The scene where Vincent and Sandra drink together after the first trial was heavily altered, because its tone in the movie is pretty tense when compared with the lightheartedness of the script. In the script, they laugh and reminisce together about the past and even kiss at the end of the scene. In the movie, none of was I screenshot happens : instead of playing along with the 'firing Vincent' suggestion, the scene ends with Sandra scolding Vincent for judging her in his head. Vincent backs off and the scene ends. Another instance of him not pressing emotional depth to shield himself.

There are other scenes I liked (many that touch upon Sandra's books) but I'll stop there. Hope you'll enjoy that... I might draw some of these so stay tuned... This movie has absorbed my soul but it feels good to be alive, thank you Justine Triet.

Another Zuhair Murad, yeah. I think when it comes to big, prestigious events in the industry Taylor usually wears a gown with glitter/sequins. However, I think about Taylor's 2012 & 2013 GRAMMYs look everyday and I want her to pull up in another Goddess/looking like the literal award look.

Elie Saab Ready To Wear

Another designer Taylor hasn't worn to a red carpet event in a while. I can see her wearing something dark green/black for the GRAMMYs because reputation. This dress looks like a very shimmer-y snakeskin. And the slit. It all just screams Taylor to me.

Here is a designer I don't think Taylor has worn before. These gowns are begging for a signature red lip classic thing (that we all like). And they are black, of course, cause reputation.

Ziad Nakad

Another designer Taylor has never worn before. Obviously, the black is for reputation (Taylor's Version). So is the sexy slit. But I also love pastel-sequins, crystaline design which I think fits some of Taylor's recent love for crystals.

Alexander McQueen Ready To Wear Spring-Summer 2024

Finally, a look that has nothing to do with reputation (Taylor's Version). I just think this gown is beautiful. And allows for a bolder makeup look than the other gowns.

Ahed Tamimi, 22, was detained overnight in Nabi Saleh, an army spokesperson confirmed to the AFP news agency. She was arrested during an Israeli raid which the spokesman said aimed to apprehend “individuals suspected of being involved in terrorist activities and incitement to hatred” in the West Bank. A security source sent the AFP an Instagram post allegedly made by Tamimi when asked why she had been detained... Tamimi’s mother, Nariman al-Tamimi, denied that her daughter had written the post, telling the AFP: “There are dozens of [online] pages in Ahed’s name with her photo, with which she has no connection.” [...] News of her arrest Monday was welcomed by Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. He posted an image on X appearing to show Tamimi being restrained by a soldier, along with a Hebrew caption offering “kudos” to the Israeli forces involved in her capture. Ben-Gvir also accused Tamimi of being a “terrorist” who had “expressed sympathy and support” with Nazis since the outbreak of the war. According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, Tamimi was one of over 70 people arrested during Israeli raids Sunday night in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem. A total of 2,150 Palestinians have been detained by Israel since Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared war in response to the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7 which killed over 1,400 Israelis, according to local estimates.

Her father Bassem Tamimi was arrested by Israeli forces during a raid in the town last week, with no information of his whereabouts. [...] The Israeli army celebrated Ahed Tamimi’s arrest, publishing a picture on Facebook and asking: “Where is her smile now?” Tamimi and her family members are well-known activists and have led Nabi Saleh’s non-violent resistance for nearly a decade. Her father has been arrested numerous times by Israeli forces and has spent at least four years in prison. Ahed Tamimi became an icon of Palestinian resistance since a video of her 2012 confrontation with an Israeli soldier, who had arrived at the family house to arrest her brother, went viral. She was previously arrested by the Israeli army in December 2017 following further confrontations, alongside her mother and 20-year-old cousin Nour. Indicted on 12 charges, including assault, incitement and past instances of stone-throwing, she was jailed for eight months.
