Thoughts on radfem separatism?

women separating themselves from men will always be a good thing. more many (well, most), it is not really possible on a large scale due to finance (and for radfems that perhaps have husbands that they’re not gonna divorce simply for theoretical ideology, and some have male children that they can’t dump, as well as us poor women that need to work wherever we can), but there are many small things we can do that both benefit us and women as a whole, like focusing on female friends and coworkers, not being any man’s therapist/carer, relationship separatism if you feel you can do that, dating only women if you’re bisexual, not having children (and bringing oppressed or oppressors into the world), becoming more self sufficient with gardens and learning how to sew and other handy skills, voting for (good) female politicians, and much more.

these are all forms of separatism via reducing male presence in your life, or at least reducing male influence on your life. it’s notmandatory of course, many radfems do non/anti radfem things for lack of choice, survival, or they were things they did before they became radfems. overall, i think the best thing would be as much separatism as one is able to do, but ultimately it’s not something i’m intensely focused on due to the complicated nature of it. despite my arguments on here, i’m not big on conflicts and discourse, so i just focus on what i can do to positively impact women NOW and raise awareness. to each their own for methodology.
