Eye See an Update #3

It’s almost surreal. 4 weeks have just gone by. Last Wednesday marked the end of the 30 days covenant that was set out on 26 October 2017. This post should actually be backdated.

Didn’t allow use and charging of my phone to be in my room for 30 days.

I am porn-free for 30 days.

Somewhere along the second week, big M crept in. Still, that shouldn't hold me back to going back to the covenant but to pay more attention in keeping it at bay.

Brutality in my honesty. If I thought holding my act together was hard enough, sharing about it can be even harder. Yet, I celebrate this journey because looking back, this heinous sin was the only maladaptive coping mechanism in my face of fear, pain, anger, unforgiveness, idleness that needs comforting. God is the greatest comforter.

Indeed, I wouldn’t even manage with my own strength. And I can’t be more thankful for how He carried me through and shown me His grace. Life is messy but He has come to make it right. So what’s next?

To go further. No turning back.

#Day3 Indeed Christmas came in pretty early for the Ikota community women according to Mrs Unyime-Ivy King @unyimeivyking of @sowgfoundation Our founder Mrs Temitope Okunnu @environmentqueen wowed us all as she came up with a plan to paint tires. We kept asking her what the plan was, bt she said, get the women to paint these tires, divide them in groups, make them work as a team, we cleaned the tires, cut the pet bottles, attached strings to bottle Covers and so on. The women and girls were extremely happy doing it even though they did not know what the outcome will be. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Thereafter, she made them concentrate on the training, making bags from used fabrics/fabric waste while the paint on the tires dried off. Suddenly we saw the women gathered again just because she already silently started to work on the tire that began to look like a Christmas tree.
