Do you feel like the mha community has gotten bigger or smaller over the past 4 years. I feel like I don’t see as much commotion as before

definitely … smaller. Tho I don’t think bnha has fallen out of any prestige or relevancy in the anime world, just that… as the anime catches up to the manga and more n more (for lack of a better term) “game-changing” shows have come out (such as csm), it has become regarded as older and therefore singular investment in it has waned.

we could talk abt how the story kinda… stopped asking pertinent questions abt the world it’s set in (and actually our own, as well), which is disappointing in its own right (as well as some of the disappointing narrative choices)… but as with everything, 8-10 years is a long time to stay culturally relevant in an ever changing world such as fandom (look at one piece, very beloved but… somewhat niche in the communities it helps to form. I think bnha has turned into that, which is good considering sometimes new animes blow up and then immediately die within the next year.
